A Dragonslayer’s Peerless Regression – 409
by Hectopascal(헥토파스칼 )
Episode 409
‘Revenge.’
It was the most common and base emotion that humans have and the reason for it was easily understandable.
But Lopocale did not think that the man in front of him had come to him because of a simple emotion called revenge.
Because I never felt a deep enough bond between Azmun and Fretz to talk about revenge.
‘It seems like they’re trying to do something under the pretext of revenge.’
Lopocale knew this but decided to listen to Azmoon anyway.
Since he himself was in a situation where he had to capture Zeke Draker on his master’s orders it wasn’t such a bad thing that he could borrow the help of the sinister schemer Azmoon.
He said as he looked at Azmun.
“Zeg Draker the Knight of Salvation. It is true that he has continually hindered the Empire’s cause.”
When Lopocale did not refuse the offer Azmoon smiled broadly and said
“If we leave him alone he will gain more influence within House Draker. Arthur Draker is not at the forefront right now but if he were to declare all-out war by bringing forward the Knights of Salvation and Julius’s rebels it would be quite tiresome.”
Lopocale also agreed with Azmoun’s words.
‘I should have taken out Julius on Dortha’s side. I didn’t think Neville and Viper would fail.’
In particular Neville was a demon with powerful powers known even in the demon world.
Things got pretty messed up since he probably didn’t expect the invasion to fail.
Azmun spoke to Lopocale in a quiet voice.
“The Siemens family is not currently at the forefront. It is unclear what Ramon Siemens is thinking so it is questionable whether Siemens will come forward against Drake in the event of an all-out war.”
Ramon Siemens the head of the Siemens family placed the mentally unstable Abel on the throne and left himself in the background.
Not only did he never appear at any official functions he also did not particularly get involved in imperial affairs.
That’s why it was impossible to figure out his intentions.
I thought he would clearly use Abel to take charge but instead he just turned away and maintained an attitude of indifference so even Azmun the strategist could not guess what Ramon Siemens was aiming for.
Of course Lopocale who had the memories of the Apostle of the Abyss knew that Ramon Siemens was preparing for his second baptism and was keeping himself aloof but there was no need to tell Azmun about it.
‘Azmun doesn’t know much about the situation in Narak and Siemens. I should take advantage of this.’
Lopocale nodded in agreement with Azmoun’s words.
“Yes. As the commander said Siemens’ current attitude is certainly difficult to trust.”

Azmun hesitated for a moment at his words then took something out of his bosom.
“Would you please take a look at this Acting Butler?”
Lopocale took what Azmun had taken out and examined it.
‘What is this?’
What Azmun took out was an old book.
On the surface of the book was engraved an emblem depicting a sword on a shield.
Lopocale looked at Azmun and asked.
“What is this?”
“This is a forbidden book that contains the secrets of the Dragon Slayer Terracan Draker.”
Lopocale couldn’t help but be surprised by Azmoun’s words.
Although he was a demon he was very interested in human affairs so he already knew about the dragon slayer Terracan Draker. That was why he was surprised to learn that the forbidden book containing his secrets still existed.
Azmun smiled at Lopocale’s reaction and spoke while looking at the forbidden book.
“The Draker family has spent a long time manipulating history and creating the myth of the Dragon Slayer to hide the fact that Terrican Draker was their illegitimate child. If we inform Rom that this forbidden book remains and offer negotiations to Zeke Draker he will definitely come here.”
“You’re still going to come even though you know it’s a trap?”
“Arthur Draker will probably give orders to Zeke Draker. His orders are absolute. No one not even the Knight of Salvation can refuse them.”
After hearing Azmoun’s words Lopocale found his plan plausible.
‘People who are obsessed with honor and reputation would certainly make such irrational decisions.’
Lopocale hesitated for a moment then nodded.
“Sounds like a good plan Commander. Let’s use this as bait to capture Zeke Draker and avenge Commander Fretz together.”
Azmun smiled faintly in response.
“i look forward to.”

Whee!
Zeke went deep into the Forest of the Forgotten with Nigel.
In the endless flood you could easily get lost and become lost forever so you had to follow the designated path.
And Nigel the forest manager was the only one who could find his way through the flood.
Nigel who had been walking into the forest for a while stopped in front of a cave inside the forest.
Zeke stood next to Nigel and looked at the cave ahead.
He saw the cave and instinctively knew that this was the secret cave of the Absolute Sword Master.
Nigel motioned for Zeke to follow him and entered the cave without hesitation.
The cave was ordinary nothing particularly special.
There were no monsters or demons in sight.
As we went further inside the cave something appeared at the end of the cave.
‘What is this…?’
A door with the Absolute Sword’s emblem drawn on it.
It was exactly the same door I had seen in the secret quarters of the Draker family when I went there with Arthur Draker.
‘As expected the Master knew about the existence of the non-consent.’

As Nigel approached the door opened by itself.
“Let’s go in.”
Zeke entered the door of disagreement with Nigel.
‘Hoo.’
Inside the cave surprisingly there was a practice room where one could practice and on the walls were displayed various weapons including various swords.
There were dozens of types of swords alone.
‘It seems like there’s every kind of weapon that exists on the continent.’
Zeke turned his head and looked at the wall opposite the door where the sword statue he had seen in the secret space was standing.
Zeke looked at the swordsman and said to Nigel.
“There’s a sword statue of Shatton Drake here too.”
Nigel tilted his head in response to those words.
“What do you mean? This is not the statue of the Sword Saint.”
“Yes? Our family also has a swordsman statue like this. I thought it was modeled after the swordsman.”
“How ridiculous. You don’t even know what the Black Sword looks like yet you claim to be his successor.”
Of course Zeke also knew that the swordsman’s appearance was different from the actual swordsman.
I know his true form because I met the spirit of the Black Knight at the Upside Down Tower.
‘I thought it was because the appearance of the new statue had some kind of symbolic meaning… but it wasn’t Shatton but someone else’s appearance.’
A questioning Zeke asked Nigel.
“Then whose image is this?”
Nigel said in a serious voice.
“The most powerful sword in the history of the world. This is the statue of Solomon who was called the Sword God.”
Zeke was surprised by Nigel’s words.
“Solomon… the king of Carcosa?”
Nigel seemed rather surprised that Zeke knew about Solomon.
“It must be a history that has not been passed down to humans but you know it so well.”
“It just so happened. By the way I didn’t know that this sword statue was of King Solomon.”
Nigel nodded and said.
“I would never have known if it weren’t for the records that remained here.”
“If you’re talking about records… are you talking about Shatton Drake’s records?”
Nigel shook his head at those words.
“No. I could not enter the secret room where the traces of the sword remained. What I read was the record left behind by Bahamut the ruler of the sunset.”
“Bahamut knew of this inconsistency and even left a record of it here?”
Nigel nodded to Zeke’s question and answered.
“Yes I have never met him in person but the manager who guarded this place before me was none other than Bahamut so if we have a deep connection then it is fate.”
The fact that the Forest of the Forgotten a forbidden area was managed by Bahamut before Nigel was also something that Zeke had learned for the first time.
Nigel continued.
“Under the guidance of the Chieftain I became the caretaker of the Forest of the Forgotten which Bahamut had emptied. It was a thousand years ago.”
“Yes? So you’re saying that Master has been here for over a thousand years?”
“You damn rascal. What on earth did you know about me before you regressed?”
I’ve only ever heard of it blown up on a few occasions but I’ve never really heard of anything like it.
‘I can understand why you’d become so eccentric after being stuck in a place like this for a thousand years.’
Nigel not knowing what Zeke was thinking clicked his tongue and pointed to the sword statue.
“Before he left Bahamut left behind many records for the new administrator who would take over this place. One of them was the Sword Master’s Secret. He swung his sword here for a long time when he was creating the Honshinki.”
“Then you don’t know what’s inside the cavity?”
“No matter what country you are in you cannot enter a place that is not permitted. That is why I just guarded it until the rightful owner appeared.”
Zeke nodded as he listened to Nigel.
‘If it was locked by the system even if he was a master there would be no way to get in without breaking the door.’
There was no reason for Nigel who was far from the secular world to break the wall while considering such troubles.
Zig looked towards the swordsman and took out the Absolute Sword Ring from his inventory.

Kookookookookook!
Just as the last message appeared the sword statue moved to the side revealing an entrance that had been hidden behind it.
‘Is this the entrance to the Absolute Sword’s Secret Room?’
Zeke paused as he was about to enter the entrance looking back because Nigel was standing there motionless.
“Aren’t you going together?”
Nigel snorted at that.
“Why am I going there? My role is finished after guiding you here.”
Nigel left those words behind and disappeared.
I thought it meant to tell me to look around and come back.
Zeke thought that Nigel’s indifferent reaction to seeing the sleeping Bidong with the Black Sword’s Secret was very like her.
Zeke looked away from where Nigel had been and slowly walked inside.
As he walked lights on the ceiling began to turn on one by one.
As I went further inside a door with the Absolute Sword emblem drawn on it appeared.
[Please scan the authentication code on the door.]
Following the message Zeke placed the seal of the Absolute Sword he was wearing on his finger near the door.
Then the door opened splitting up and down.
The secret cave of the Black Sword which had been dormant for thousands of years had finally opened after waiting for a long time.
Zik was surprised when he entered.
‘It’s exactly the same as the King of Heroes’ resting place?’
From the altar in the middle to the jewels floating above it the overall composition was exactly the same.
Zeke slowly climbed up to the altar and examined the jewels on the platform.
‘The only difference is the color. The King of Heroes’ resting place was sky blue but this one is purple.’
He slowly brought his hand closer to the jewel.
Then a magic circle appeared on the stage and for a moment a strong light shone from the jewel.
“Ugh!”
Ziggy was startled by the sudden burst of bright light and stepped back.
A strong light gathered into one spot and soon formed a shape.
Tsk tsk tsk―
Soon the light formed a human figure.
A small-built inspector who looks like a boy with gray hair.
It was exactly like the Shatton Drake I had seen in the Upside Down Tower.
He looked at Zeke and his eyes sparkled.
“It’s nice to meet you again Zeke Draker.”
Zeke was taken aback by Shatton Draker’s words.
‘Do you know me? How?’
Shaton took up his sword.
“Let’s see how much better it is than before.”
As soon as the words were finished Shatton’s new model was shot at Zeke.
