    Episode 403

I couldn’t figure out why Captain Kidd’s route was included in Laura Agamemnon’s notebook.

But rather than wondering about that Zeke first looked at the route and gave orders to the system.

‘The system analyzes the route and saves it.’

    [Detects the sea.]

    [Scan and analyze.]

[The route indicated on the chart is displayed on the map.]

Zeke had control of both the Triangle the unbreakable ship that Captain Kidd had used to cross the Dark Sea and the route to it.

‘If I have this I can cross the Dark Sea and get to the Last Tower.’

The Holy King said that the Book of the Dead containing the Demon King’s soul sealed in the Last Tower was there.

And even in the sealed state the Demon King’s soul continued to emit evil energy and create demons.

Although he had no idea what it looked like his master Duke had been on a mission to the Abandoned Continent and suffered great trauma to the point of losing his status as a Black Knight.

If a strong black knight like Duke was shocked to that extent it meant that there was more danger than one could imagine.

Although Zeke was someone who did not want to take risks he needed to prepare in advance since the Book of the Dead containing the Demon King’s soul was there.

Zeke folded Captain Kidd’s chart and felt the need to find out more information about him.

But then a vibration was felt in Zeke’s arms.

    ‘what?’

He realized that the object causing the vibrations was none other than the mirror given to him by the hermit in the story.

Zig took out a mirror from his bosom and looked at his face. Then surprisingly the hermit from the story appeared inside.

    ―“Oh! Fortunately I got it!”

Zeke looked at the mirror in surprise as he had never thought that contact could be made in this way.

    “Can I just say it?”

―“Okay just talk to me. I was worried you wouldn’t answer my call this time either but luckily you are.”

“I kept it in my pocket as you said. But what happened?”

―“Oh I got a call from our leader. He said he wanted to meet you like I said last time.”

The leader of the Highlanders had requested a meeting in person.

‘The demons will be more violent than before so it would be much more advantageous if we could meet the leader of the Highlanders and receive their help.’

The Highlanders were not numerous but each and every one of them was an expert in hunting beasts.

It would be much more beneficial if they helped directly.

Zik nodded looking at the hermit.

    “Okay. Where should we meet?”

―“Our leader is in a special situation. It might be a hassle but you should go and see for yourself.”

Zig nodded after hearing the hermit’s words.

“Okay tell me where you are.”

―“Do you know what a storm is?”

When Zik heard the hermit’s words he thought for a moment that he had misheard and asked again.

“Did you just say it was a storm?”

―“Yeah. Stormy. I see you know. That’s good.”

He closed his eyes for a moment and then opened them.

“Are you talking about the stormy seas right there in the middle of the forbidden zone?”

―“You know very well. That’s right right there.”

Zig’s head started to hurt at the hermit’s words.

“As far as I know that place is a forbidden place where no one can approach.”

―“That’s right. That’s why I told you. Our leader is in a special situation.”

No matter how I looked at it it wasn’t something that could be expressed as a ‘somewhat special situation’.

Zig clenched his teeth and spoke at the hermit’s words.

“…Let’s say that’s true. How do I get there? There are no ships that go to the stormy seas.”

―“That’s right. Since there are no boats we each rent a boat and take that to go.”

    “Huh? A ferry?”

―“The waves are a bit rough but somehow we can get there. It shouldn’t be that hard for someone like you right?”

He was a hermit who spoke of one of the most forbidden places as if he were going on a picnic.

Zeke realized that talking more would only make his head hurt.

    “…Okay I understand. Let’s find a way.”

―“Oh and you have to go within a week. Otherwise you won’t be able to see that guy.”

He was a very demanding person in many ways.

    ‘A week.’

Even if we set off right away it was a very tight schedule.

After cutting off contact with the hermit Zeke immediately got up from his seat.

‘I don’t have time to rest comfortably.’

He grumbled and headed straight to Himonas before dawn.

When I returned to Himonas most of the cleanup had been completed.

Zig subdued the enemy knights he had on standby with the power of Samjian and sent them towards the vampires along with the captured demons.

Since he could not keep the magic-breathing knights in Mycenae he sent them to Carmilla to be secretly hidden and then called upon when necessary to strike the enemy from behind.

For now I had no choice but to take my time thinking about the Bishop Castic issue.

The situation had to be quickly sorted out and Zeke had to say a sad farewell to Alicia.

He would have liked to have stayed in Himonas and spent more time with her reminiscing about old times but the urgent situation did not allow him to relax.

“Zeke Draker you are a friend of Himonas so come here whenever you want. The North will remember your friendship.”

Alicia held out her hand to the departing Zeke.

Zeke stared blankly at Alicia’s hand then reached out and grabbed it.

Although they couldn’t feel each other’s warmth because they were both wearing gauntlets and gloves Zeke felt comforted just by seeing Alicia alive.

He slowly opened his mouth as he looked at Alicia.

“Thank you. Your Highness… I hope you always take care of yourself.”

Alicia looked dumbfounded at those words.

“That’s the most useless thing I’ve ever heard.”

Born into a lineage of great history Alicia was a person who never felt the need to take care of her body in her life.

Zeke looked at Alicia and smirked knowing she would answer like that.

    “…I will definitely come back.”

Zeke was particularly emotional in front of Alicia.

He tried to calm his mind and left Himonas.

Not long after they set off Reina came up next to them and said to Zeke.

“Now that we have saved the Northern Continent the reputation of the Knight of Salvation will grow even higher.”

“I think the press will be more curious about the news of your marriage than about me.”

Reina’s face turned bright red at Zeke’s sudden words.

    “Oh a wedding? What the….”

“Haven’t you heard from the Lord of the Turn? The family wants you and Reina to marry. After all pureblood Drakers of the same age are rare.”

Reina couldn’t breathe properly as Zeke spoke so casually about marriage.

She barely opened her mouth her face bright red.

“Oh I know. But… I have no intention of getting married yet!”

“I see. That’s fortunate. I feel the same way.”

At Zeke’s words Reina felt a sense of resentment without even realizing it.

‘Do you not want to marry me? Or is it just not now?’

I wanted to ask outright but I couldn’t bring myself to open my mouth.

Without knowing Reina’s true feelings Zeke was lost in his thoughts about going to the storm castle.

After gathering his thoughts Zeke turned around and looked at where Felix was.

    “Felix!”

Felix came running at Zeke’s call.

    “Did you call my lord?”

He looked at Felix and gave an order.

“I will go straight to Aten from here. You lead the army and return to Mycenae.”

    “What is Aten talking about?”

“I can’t say that. When you return to Mycenae focus on defending the castle. Be prepared in case the enemy attacks our main base.”

    “Understood my lord.”

After giving orders to Felix Zeke drove Bucephalus straight towards Aten.

Reina who was watching this from behind made a bewildered expression.

    She approached Felix and asked.

“Where is Sir Zeke going all of a sudden?”

“You said you were going to Aten.”

“Aten? What brought you here all of a sudden?”

“You didn’t tell us that. We are now planning to go to Mycenae as our lord has commanded. Does Lord Reyna plan to return to Tourn?”

Reina was confused by Zig’s sudden departure.

She unknowingly gave an answer different from what she had planned.

“No I’m going to Mycenae too.”

“Huh? Lord Reyna what is happening in Mycenae…?”

“That’s right. Joint training! I thought I could use this opportunity to improve my skills while receiving joint training with the Black Sword Knights!”

Felix looked doubtful at Reina’s words but soon nodded.

“Okay I understand. Then let’s go to Mycenae together.”

I didn’t want to break their will to participate in the Hell Training of the Black Sword Knights.

‘You’ll definitely regret it. But I can’t help it since it’s what you wanted.’

When Reina decided to go to Mycenae the Turun knights who had been following her also volunteered to join her when they heard that it was a joint training session with the Black Sword Knights.

    ‘I didn’t mean to do this…’

Eventually Reina and the Knights of Tourne headed to Castle Agamemnon with the Black Spirits.

    * * *

After some time away from the group Zeke flew into the sky riding Bucephalus.

The bitter cold of the Northern Continent swept towards Zeke but Jerome’s cloak blocked the terrible cold so Zeke was able to fly without difficulty.

Zeke rode Bucephalus and took the sky route straight to Aten.

He headed towards the coast not the center of Aten.

There they planned to secure a ship and cross the stormy sea straight to the Storm Castle where the Highlander leader was.

‘Stormy. I thought that was something that only existed in storybooks but I didn’t know it existed in real life.’

The most popular episode in the adventure series of King Caesar along with the White Witch story was the Monster of the Storm Castle.

It is said that originally the storm sea was very calm and clear so many people lived nearby and caught fish.

But one day a grumpy monster appeared and blew on the fishing boat capsized it ate all the fish with its big mouth and tormented the people who ran away.

Because of the monster the calm sea became clouded and all the fishermen had no choice but to leave.

Then one day the knights of the clock tower and the King of Heroes who was passing by heard about the monster that was tormenting the people and immediately headed out to the sea.

He chased the monster beat it up and made it promise never to bother people again.

However the story of the Storm Castle was that the monster broke his promise with the King of Heroes and became a sullen creature who stayed on the island causing a strong storm and preventing others from even approaching the sea.

Zeke searched the Kaisir Chronicles for information about this storm castle but couldn’t find any mention of the stormy seas or monsters.

    ‘Are stories just stories?’

In fact it felt a bit strange that the leader of the Highlanders was waiting in the storm castle where the monsters were said to live.

With all this information about the storm coming to mind Zig arrived at the coast of the Aten Peninsula and went into a nearby house to look for a boat to cross the stormy sea.

But the fishermen who heard Jik’s words all waved their hands and said.

“You’re going across the stormy sea? Oh no! Sir! This is going to be a disaster. Even we who have lived here our whole lives can only go as far as the nearby coastline and the sea is so rough that we can’t even dream of going any further.”

“Isn’t there any way to go further out to sea?”

“What is this? This place is even rougher than the Sea of Death. There’s no reason why this place is off-limits to the continent.”

No one ever deliberately approached the stormy seas known as the Forbidden Continent along with the Forest of the Forgotten.

You could tell how rough the sea was just by going near the coast.

‘How did the hermit in the story get here by boat?’

I thought that it might be possible because they are high tables that transcend human limitations.

Zeke who was observing the situation on the beach thought about summoning the Tyrant and flying away but gave up because it seemed like it would be more difficult to fly if he entered the storm area.

After much thought Zeke decided to get an old ferry boat and try to go there somehow.

He went to a shore far from the inn summoned Bane and Richmond pointed to a ferry and said:

    “Please fix this.”

Under Zeke’s orders the two men Lich a genius necromancer from Nirvana and an 8th circle ice magic wizard worked hard to repair the old ferry boat.

Richmond summoned his bones to repair the broken parts and Bane filled the gap with solid ice.

A few hours later Richmond and Bain approached with proud expressions on their faces.

    “I’m done master.”

Zig who had been leisurely resting while drinking tea got up from his seat and went to check on the two repaired boats.

    “…What is this?”

He opened his mouth wide at the sight of the ship in front of him.

The old ferry was gone and a fearsome large sailing ship adorned with hideous monster bones and sharp ice swords was waiting for him.
