A Dragonslayer’s Peerless Regression – 392

Episode 392
Kugugugugugu―
The avalanche swept away all the rushing demons and monsters.
Alicia turned her head towards Zeke taking in the sight of the perfectly manicured snowfield.
“Ha! Zeke Draker is not what I imagined.”
But Zeke didn’t let his guard down and stared at the snowfield.
After a while the snowfield shook and the demons that survived the avalanche appeared.
Shhh!
Zeke immediately swung his sword and attacked the demons.
Alicia who saw this also grabbed the Nang’a sword and ran towards them.
“You dirty little devils!”
Thanks to Alicia swinging her sword noisily the once clean snowfield was soon polluted by the tangled demons.
After clearing out the demons Zeke and his party climbed back up the ice mountain range.
While heading to Himonas Castle the group encountered northern knights looking for Alicia who had fallen off a cliff.
“Jooguuuun!”
From a distance Sven came running making a loud noise.
He looked at Alicia with caution when he saw her with the strange knights.
Then Alicia waved her hand at Sven.
“Ah it’s okay. This is Zeke Draker. He came with us to wipe out the monsters and the Empire.”
Sven became more cautious when he heard the word Draker.
Then Zeke stepped forward and said.
“It’s good to see you’re healthy again.”
Sven frowned at Zeke’s words and spoke roughly.
“I know you sir. I’ve never met the Draker seeds before.”
“I guess you don’t remember. I saved you from death once before.”
When Sven made a face as if he didn’t understand English Zeke opened his mouth.

“Do you remember the name Zeke Murray?”
When I told him the alias I used at the time Sven opened his eyes wide as if he had just remembered.
“Zeke Murray? Of course I remember your benefactor’s name! But Nikolai said that Zeke Murray was a northern mercenary who aspired to become a ranger?”
Zeke said with a smirk.
“Where in the North would someone openly call themselves a Drake? They spoke under an assumed name.”
Sven’s expression became complicated at those words.
“Eee …
There was no denying that Zeke was a benefactor but the fact that he was Draker kept bothering me.
As Sven looked confused and didn’t know what to do Alicia suddenly walked up to him and hit him on the back.
Crack!
Sven screamed in pain.
“Ugh! My lord! Are you planning to break my spine?”
Alicia said clicking her tongue.
“I don’t know exactly what it is but if you owe your life to Zeke Draker then Sven you must repay the favor to him as a Northman to uphold your honor.”
“Even if the opponent is a Drake?”
“Yes. Even if he’s a Drake.”
Sven nodded to Alicia’s words and bowed towards Zeke.
“I’m sorry for being rude Zeke Draker. I really appreciate you saving my life. I was so embarrassed at the time that I couldn’t even express my gratitude in person.”
“I’m glad you look healthy. But I don’t see Nikolai.”
“I was injured in battle and am recovering. The monsters are still rampant so only those who can move have followed their lord.”
It seemed that they had gathered only the best members of the other knight orders including Nikolai and Sven’s Thistle Knights to form a monster subjugation force.
Alicia who was standing next to him gritted her teeth as she listened to the story.
“Damn the Empire brought these fucking monsters here it pisses me off.”
Zeke said to Alicia.
“In order to stop the monster army we must find the gate as quickly as possible. Otherwise the entire North will be attacked by monsters.”
Then Sven stroked his chin and said:
“When you say gate you mean a big hole that monsters come out of?”
Zeke nodded at Sven’s words.
“That’s right. Did you find the gate?”
“There was a guy in the search party who said he saw something similar. Not up close but a little further away.”
“Can you tell me where that place is?”
Sven called a search party and Zeke gave him a rough idea of their location.
Zeke who marked the location on the system’s map was surprised to find that it was similar to the location where the Elder Dragon’s ruins had previously been located.
‘There must be a black stage there?’
If the Black Stage had withdrawn from there and Narak had taken its place and set up a gate it would have been quite a headache.
The Elder Dragon ruins that Zeke remembers were as rough and narrow as a natural fortress.
‘Even if we know the location it won’t be easy to attack.’

First I thought I should go into Himonas Castle reorganize and wait for Niki to contact me.
After organizing his plans Zeke headed to Himonas Castle with Alicia.
* * *
“Poohahahaha! Zeke Draker! Drink! Drink!”
As soon as she returned to Himonas Castle Alicia threw a banquet for the visitors as befitting a northerner.
Northerners believed that if guests were not treated properly they would become unhappy so they had a custom of treating visitors very generously unless they were enemies.
Zeke took the bowl full of liquor that Alicia had given him and drank it down in one gulp.
“Ohhhhh!”
The knights of the North including Sven were impressed by Zeke’s drinking capacity.
When he put down the bowl he had emptied they cheered even more.
“It’s so hot!”
“I like that you’re not like that Drake guy!”
The knights of Tourn whose ancestors were from the north quickly became accustomed to the knights of Himonas and often got along well with them.
On one side of the banquet hall Felix was performing a magic trick pretending to show off his skills.
But Felix’s arm wrestling matches with the barbarians were more popular than his magic.
thud!
None of the knights of the North who were confident in their strength could defeat Wang Ju-fist in arm wrestling.
Then the stimulated northern knights gathered in front of Wang Ju-fist.
And at some point Alicia who had been watching from behind rolled up her sleeves and stepped forward.
“Barbarian! You said King’s Fist. Let’s try it with me.”
Alicia was small in stature compared to her historical powers.
Her arms were incomparably thin compared to the king’s fist.
But Wang Ju-fist who was not afraid of any of the northern knights looked nervous when Alicia appeared.
The other barbarians looked at that fist and said:
“Shocked?”
Wang Ju-fuk stood in front of Alicia snorting as if trying to deny that he was scared.
Then Alicia held out her index finger and said.
“I’ll deal with this.”
It was Alicia who had the audacity to fight the Barbarian with just one index finger.
Wang Ju-fuk ground his teeth and held out only one index finger.
Zeke who was watching from behind clicked his tongue.
“You’ll regret it.”
Reina nodded as she listened to Zeke’s words from the side.
“What I’m saying is no matter how strong you are doing that to a Barbarian….”
“No I was talking about Wang Ju-Fist.”
“The Barbarian regrets it?”
Boom!
Before Reina could finish speaking there was a loud noise.
“Krrrrr!”
He was the king of arm wrestling with Alicia who was thrown to the floor as soon as the match started.
Alicia raised both arms in a victor’s pose.
Wang Ju-Fuk had a blank expression on his face as if he couldn’t believe that he had lost to a small human woman.
The other barbarians surrounded him and said something to him.
“Huh?”
“Jirim?”
Wang Ju-fist had to grit his teeth and endure the humiliation of being teased by other barbarians.
Then Alicia turned to Zeke and said.
“How about Zeke Draker? You should fight me too.”
Zeke who was quietly drinking tea to freshen up his palate after drinking raised his head at Alicia’s sudden provocation.
After locking eyes with Alicia for a moment and looking around I saw that not only the knights of Himonas but also the knights of Tourn and the members of the Black Spirit Corps were all looking at Zeke with expectant eyes.
‘These guys….’
He didn’t really want to come out but he felt like the mood would be ruined if he left so he slowly got up from his seat.
“Ohhhhh!”
Everyone in the ballroom was excited and crowded around the table where Zeke and Alicia were arm wrestling.
Alicia put her chin on the table.
“If you want I can do it with my fingers.”
Zeke chuckled at those words.
“I guess you need an excuse after losing.”
Zeke raised his arm and took Alicia’s hand.
Alicia’s expression changed as she held Zeke’s hand which had been raising his power.
‘It certainly doesn’t look like you used an aura…’
She had never seen anything in her life that could match her in sheer brute force.
The air around Alicia and Zeke who were holding hands changed.
The other knights who had been caught up in excitement were momentarily frozen by the momentum radiating from the two and were unable to make a sound.
Sven who was acting as referee looked around and then blew the whistle.
Beep!
The sound of a horn echoed throughout the banquet hall.
But Zeke and Alicia holding hands on the table were completely motionless.
Others who were watching this looked puzzled.
‘what?’
‘It’s definitely started?’
Those who had been watching the two in bewilderment for a moment noticed that the table supporting Alicia and Zeke’s arms was shaking slightly.
The balance was maintained by the clash of tremendous forces without any concessions from either side.
Everyone held their breath and watched the confrontation between the two people without moving an inch.
At that moment a drop of sweat fell from their clasped hands onto the table.
Stop!
At that moment the table that was supporting their arms could not withstand the force and broke.
Kkwadduk!
The table was made of northern black ironwood which is said to be stronger than iron but it was shattered into pieces.
Still Alicia and Zeke’s clasped hands remained motionless in the air.
Sven who had been watching this looked back and forth between the two and then blew his whistle.
Beep!
Only when the whistle blew indicating a draw did Zeke and Alicia lower their clasped hands.
For a moment the two of them seemed to have a cramp in their hands and could not move easily.
Alicia tried to act nonchalant and spoke to Zeke.
“Ha! You’re using a lot of force.”
“Even the Grand Duke wouldn’t go around getting beaten up like this.”
The two of them were showing off for no reason even though they couldn’t even move their arms.
Alicia said gritting her teeth.
“Hey Sven go get me a whole jug of wine. I’ll show you a Drake crawling on all fours today.”
Eventually Zeke was caught by Alicia and forced to drink the potion all night long.
* * *
‘It’s so cool.’
Zigg who came out of the banquet hall shook his head.
Alicia made him drink so much that even Zeke who had immortality felt slightly drunk later on.
Eventually even Alicia got tired of drinking and passed out.
Since the other knights had already fallen only Zeke remained conscious until the end.
Zig who had completely blown away the remaining intoxication from the healing left the banquet hall and took out the absolute compass.
‘If you go this way there are stairs leading to the castle basement.’
In his previous life Zeke had stayed in Himonas Castle for quite some time.
That’s why I knew the location of every part of the castle.
Without hesitation he went down into the castle basement as the compass indicated.
In the basement of the castle there was a memorial space with stone statues built to honor the past northern princes.
In her previous life whenever Alicia felt confused she would come down here to organize her thoughts and then come back up.
Thanks to that Zik also felt familiar with this place.
The compass pointed to the place where the altar was built past the stone statues placed on either side.
Unlike the Central Continent the Northerners did not believe in a god of light or a god of the sun.
Since each region had its own indigenous gods there was no common religious sect or religion.
However Himonas worshipped the sacred wolf king ‘Fenrir’ who raised the King of Heroes and made him their symbol.
The Nanga sword that Alicia holds was something that had been passed down through generations of Northern Dukes and there was a legend that it was made from the tooth of the Wolf King Fenrir.
The altar in the middle was where Fenrir was worshipped.
Zeke tilted his head as he approached the altar of Fenrir pointed to by the compass.
‘Why is there no response?’
If Caligula’s tomb was here there should have been a reaction from the system the moment Zeke became aware of it but there was no change.
Zigg spoke to the system.
‘No relics detected by the system?’
Then a message appeared before Zeke’s eyes.
[Detects surroundings upon user request.]
[There is no information on the relics that respond to the detection results system.]
The system responded that nothing was detected.
‘What? But why is the compass pointing here?’
Zeke approached raised his head and examined Fenrir’s altar closely.
Then something caught his eye.
There was an hourglass placed on the altar.
There was a familiar vibe in that hourglass.
‘What is this?’
Zeke slowly reached out his hand toward the hourglass.
Then a new message appeared before my eyes.
[Power Restoration is linked to Kronos’ Hourglass.]
