    Episode 391

    “under?”

Alicia frowned as she saw Zeke calling her name.

She spoke to Zeke with a rough air.

“How do you know my name?”

Zeke was embarrassed when he realized that he had said Alicia’s name without realizing it.

‘Even though I know it when I see your face in person my heart still sways.’

After calming down he looked at Alicia and spoke in a calm voice.

“As a guardian of Draker you should know the name of the Northern Duke also known as the White Wolf.”

Alicia who was startled by Zeke’s words looked even fiercer when she heard the word Draker.

“A guardian knight of that fucking Draker… Are you that guy named Zeg Draker or something?”

Zeke was even more surprised that Alicia already knew him.

‘I guess I’ve become famous to the point where even Alicia who has no interest in outside news knows about me.’

Zeke nodded trying to remain calm.

    “Yes. I am Zeke Draker.”

Then Alicia picked up the Nang’a sword that she had thrown on the floor.

The knights around them became more alert and turned their momentum towards Alicia.

Zeke raised his hand to stop them.

“It’s okay. Everyone continue eating while I speak with the Northern Duke.”

As soon as his order was given the Black Spirits and Barbarian units quickly sheathed their weapons and returned to their positions.

The knights of Reina and Tourn hesitated at those words but after observing for a moment they each sat down in their seats.

However Reina couldn’t take her eyes off the suspicious intruder as if she couldn’t believe that he was really the Northern Duke.

Alicia spoke to Zeke while holding the Nang’a Sword.

“I don’t know if you’re stupid or overconfident. If I swing my sword at you from this distance you’ll die instantly.”

Zeke smiled to himself as he listened to Alicia.

    ‘It’s really just like before.’

Seeing her charging forward with all her might Zeke felt more emotions welling up in him than he had previously thought.

I have never felt this way when I met people from my past life after returning.

Alicia was that special to Zeke.

While he was away on a mission Alicia was attacked by the Imperial Army and eventually died on the battlefield.

After losing her Zeke left the Northern Continent and wandered the continent without a destination.

The Central Continent swept by the Imperial Army was devastated and filled with nothing but despair and suffering.

Zeke obsessed with the thought that he was not strong enough to protect Alicia and that he had lost his place to stay moved wherever his feet took him until he found the Elder Dragon’s relic in the Ice Mountains.

And after a long time I arrived in front of Alicia again who is still alive.

But Alicia had no idea that such a past life existed so the memory was solely Zeke’s.

    That was when.

    Phew!

Alicia swung her Nang’a sword at Zeke in an instant from her sitting position.

Zeke quickly took out Bahamut and blocked the Nang’a sword.

    Oh my god!

Swords clashed with swords and the sound was like a giant piece of iron paper breaking.

Even though I hastily opened the Golden Power Field my wrists still felt tingly.

‘Is this really the power of great history?’

As she was his closest comrade in her previous life Zeke knew Alicia’s abilities better than anyone else.

The Himonas lineage has long ruled the North.

There was one reason why they were able to subdue the rugged northern lords and establish themselves as kings of the North.

Because the power they had was strong.

The power spoken of here does not mean symbolic power but literal ‘power’.

The founder of Himonas was none other than a great warrior with the power to literally uproot mountains.

This fearsome power was passed down through the Himonas bloodline and reached its peak in Alicia.

Before the great power of history that she possessed magic and auras were all meaningless.

That’s why Alicia couldn’t help but be surprised when she saw Zeke blocking her sword without any trouble.

    She said lowering the sword.

“You have the skills to be arrogant.”

As someone who knew Alicia’s personality Zick knew that such an expression would be considered high praise for her.

Zeke also spoke while collecting Bahamut.

“I knew very well that the Northern Guardian’s sword was quite heavy.”

Alicia’s eyes lit up as she heard Zeke’s words.

“Guardian of the North. How curious. I never thought Drake would use such an expression.”

“How can I deny that Himonas is the sword that protects the North? I am merely stating the facts.”

    Alicia chuckled at those words.

Then he tossed one of the frozen bear paws that was on the ground towards Zig.

    “It’s the price of soup.”

Zeke was inwardly surprised when he saw Alicia give him a bear paw.

    ‘Alicia gives food to others…?’

Alicia who had great historical powers also ate differently.

Her motto was that if you don’t eat properly you won’t be able to function at your full strength.

That’s why Alicia always considered eating important.

So it was a clear gesture of goodwill that she gave him food.

He picked up the frozen bear paw pulled out Annex’s dagger cut off a piece of flesh and put it in his mouth.

‘Bear meat. Long time no see.’

It was something I ate often when I was with Alicia.

As soon as I put bear meat in my mouth memories of the past came flooding back.

Reina who saw the two of them facing each other and eating the bear’s paw side by side made a bewildered expression from behind.

    ‘What is this situation?’

Alicia sat down across from Zeke and ate all the flesh from the bear’s paw before she got up.

    “Whew I’m finally full.”

    She said looking at Zeke.

“So what happened to Drake’s Guardian Knights up north?”

It was Alicia who finally asked Zeke his purpose.

Zik also put down the bone he had cleaned and eaten and opened his mouth.

“We have come to stop the monsters that are trying to invade the Northern Continent.”

Alicia responded with surprise at those words.

“Why did Draker come here? Did he come here to fight Himonas under the pretext of stopping monsters?”

Alicia had absolutely no trust in Drake.

Zeke nodded at her words and answered calmly.

“The Empire not Drake has such a purpose.”

    “what?”

It was meant as a half-joke but when Zeke responded seriously Alicia looked surprised.

Zeke stood up and explained the situation to Alicia.

“We’re on our way back from blocking the imperial army that’s trying to invade Barkal. They’ve joined hands with the black magicians to open a gate that summons monsters. As the Archduke said their goal is to use the monster invasion as an excuse to take over the northern continent.”

Alicia frowned at what Zeke said.

    “How dare these imperial bastards….”

The other knights held their breath at the murderous aura emanating from her body.

There was a natural sense of intimidation about Alicia that was different from that of knights using auras.

‘The lords of the North must tremble in fear.’

There were more than a few lords who looked down on young Alicia and stuck their teeth into her only to be caught by her and lose their lives.

Thanks to this the Northern Continent was able to unite as one with Alicia at its center.

Zeke said as he looked at Alicia who was grumbling.

“If the Northern Continent is breached the Central Continent will not be safe either. I want to help the Grand Duke defeat the monster army and the Imperial Army.”

Alicia looked up and looked into Zeke’s eyes.

She had a keen intuition and used to look at the pupils to determine whether the other person was telling the truth or not and most of the time she was right.

After checking his eyes she was sure that Zeke was telling the truth.

    “Okay let’s do that.”

Alicia liked Zeke himself although she didn’t like Draker at all.

    Alicia said to Zeke.

“Let’s go to Himonas Castle together for now. I was hunting monsters when I fell off a cliff and got lost but I came here because I smelled a delicious soup. My subordinates will probably be looking for me.”

Zeke was immediately convinced when he heard Alicia’s words.

‘I’ve done that often. It’s also a serious misdirection.’

It was so sturdy that there was no risk of injury but it would often get lost when charging alone.

“We know the way to Himonas so it would be best if we went up together. After we regroup at the castle we’ll make a plan to attack them.”

    Alicia nodded at those words.

But then a strange sensation appeared outside the cave.

Zeke and Alicia turned their heads at the same time.

‘This is the spirit of the devil.’

Alicia ran out with the Nang’A sword in her hand before Zeke could even say a word.

    Kaaaah!

The cries of the demons echoed outside the cave.

Zeke followed her outside holding Bahamut in his hand.

Alicia holding the Nang’a Sword was flying over the snowfield cutting down the demons in two.

    Phew!

In an instant the demons became a tangled mess staining the pure white snowy field.

Alicia wiped the blood of the demon from her sword and clicked her tongue.

“Those damn bastards are so persistent.”

    Zeke approached Alicia and asked.

“Are these demons chasing the Archduke?”

    She nodded.

“Yes there was a big demon standing at the top. He controlled the demons and monsters and kept attacking us. I went up alone to catch that demon and ended up falling off the cliff.”

If it had been any other knight and not Alicia it was clear that she would have died when she fell off the cliff.

‘A cunning demon who controls demons and monsters…’

Zeke recalled the archer he had previously encountered on the Southern Isles Islands.

    He asked Alicia

“Do you remember what the demon you were fighting against looked like?”

Alicia tilted her head then nodded.

“Hmm what should I say? It looks like a sheep or a wild boar. Its body has sharp stiff fur like blades.”

Zeke realized the bastard’s identity after hearing Alicia’s explanation.

‘Dutyul (饕餮). One of the four evil spirits was here.’

Gung-gi and Do-cheol were the four evil spirits that he had caught together with his previous life’s master Nigel.

Although Do-cheol was weaker than Gung-gi he was quick-witted and cunning so it was not easy to catch him.

But there was one strange thing.

‘I know that Docheol lived in the mountains between Thebes and Argos not in the northern continent.’

Unlike the Gung-gi who grew their power in the Southern Islands and came to the Central Continent the Tao-cheol’s habitat was there from the beginning.

It was strange in itself that they came up to the northern continent leaving their habitat behind.

This is because abnormal species such as the Sahyeong rarely leave their habitat.

‘Could it be that they did something from the abyss?’

While Zeke was thinking about Do-cheol something approached from across the snowfield.

    Doo doo doo doo―

Alicia and Zeke looked up and toward the sound.

    Kaaaah!

To their surprise the demons and monsters eroded by magic were charging towards them screaming.

Alicia who saw him immediately grabbed the Nang’a sword and tried to jump forward.

    But then Zeke stopped her.

    “What is it?”

Alicia looked at Zeke who was blocking her and reacted sharply.

I was surprised that his reaction speed was similar to my own but that wasn’t important at the moment.

    Zeke said looking at Alicia.

“I don’t think we need to deal with them one by one here.”

“Are you saying we should run away in the face of the enemy?”

“The idea is to deal with them more efficiently.”

Zig shouted at the group behind him.

“Felix! Reina! Lead the troops and climb as high as you can.”

Felix and Reina who followed behind didn’t know what was going on but they did as he said and gathered the troops and headed to higher ground.

After checking their quick movements Zeke turned his head and took a stance toward the rushing demons and monsters then activated his skill Lion’s Wrath.

    Gooooooooooo!

A powerful vibration spread across the snowfield.

Alicia frowned at the sight of such a Zig.

    “Hey what are you doing….”

    That was when.

    Kwakwakwakwa!

A huge pile of snow was seen rolling down the path that the demons and monsters were running towards.

    Zeke shouted looking at Alicia.

    “Jump!”
