A Dragonslayer’s Peerless Regression – 389
by Hectopascal(헥토파스칼 )
Episode 389
Phew!
The knights behind them were confused as Fretz’s head was shattered into pieces.
“It’s a surprise attack!”
In fact it was the knights of the Great Palace who carried out the attack first and then covered it up.
They took out a chain with a sickle from their bosom.
Seeing the strange energy rising from the chain it seemed like it was an artifact with black magic.
The knights immediately grabbed the chain and threw their scythes at Zeke.
Phew!
Dozens of chained sickles flew towards Zigg.
Then the King’s Fist and the Barbarians behind him stepped forward and charged.
Quaching!
Even weapons enchanted with black magic were not enough to penetrate the strong bodies of the barbarians.
The barbarians who deflected the scythes instead grabbed the chains attached to the scythes.
Phew!
They grabbed the chains and pulled hard and the knights were dragged along.
“Hey hey hey!”
Fists flew towards the knights who were dragged away unable to overcome the mighty barbarian’s strength.
Kkwadduk!
A single punch dented the helmets and crushed the knights’ heads.
Other barbarians followed Wang Ju-fist and joined the attack.
Kkwadduk!
The sound of armor clashing with armor and bones breaking resonated loudly throughout the area.
“Kyaargh! Stop it!”
“Send a signal to the wizards! Release the barrier!”
Because of the barrier the knights of the Great Sea Palace were unable to use their auras so they had no choice but to be trampled by the barbarians.

Meanwhile the knights of House Reyna and Thurn could only gape in amazement as they watched the barbarians moving about like wolves swarming a flock of sheep.
‘How did Zig tame that scary savage?’
While Reina was blankly looking at the barbarians Zeke who had been watching from behind raised his hammer and shouted.
“Catch the wizards above. Follow me!”
At Zeke’s words the Black Sword Knights immediately followed behind.
When Reina saw this she spoke to the knights of Tourn.
“I will also help them. Block the retreat route so that the Imperial Knights do not escape!”
Reina who had given orders to the knights of Tourn hurriedly chased after Zeke and the Black Spirits.
Although it was the same situation where they couldn’t use their auras the Dark Spirit members seemed accustomed to this situation and didn’t panic. They struck the thick tree branches with their swords and chased after Zeke through the forest.
It felt very strange for Reina to be moving using only her own strength for the first time in a long time.
‘Is this not the first time the Black Sword Knights have been in a situation like this?’
Although they were of the same level as the Blue Knights the Black Spirits had participated in several dangerous battles so they were bound to be far ahead in terms of actual combat experience.
Then Zeke shouted from the front.
“Take off your gloves and disrupt their magic! If they run away block the flanks!”
With those words Zeke took off his gloves and unleashed his magical sealing technique and immediately a sealing area was created around his body.
Woohoo!
Within the realm of magic blocking techniques that stop the flow of magic magicians could not use magic properly.
The black magicians of the Abyss were bewildered when their magic was not applied at all as it was much more powerful and detailed than the pureblood Draker’s special ability of ‘magic interference’.
“My damn!”
As the wizards fled the Dark Spirits scattered centered around Liam and Felix blocking their retreat.
WHEEK!
Liam pulled a dagger from his bosom and threw it at the fleeing wizards.
Phew!
The dagger was stuck exactly in the middle of the wizard’s back.
Felix who was quick on his feet ran fiercely and blocked the retreat of the warlocks.
The wizards hesitated and stepped back to try to control the situation but other Dark Spirits had already appeared behind them and surrounded them.
The wizards of the Abyss exchanged glances with each other and were about to take out the divine water containing the power of the devil from their bosoms.
Phage crackle!
The light hammer of Zeke fell on the warlocks he had driven in.
“Krrrrrrr!”
The wizards who were hit by the lightning of light fell down foaming at the mouth.
The Black Sword Knights skillfully tied up the limbs of the fallen wizards preventing them from moving.
Reina just blankly watched them move in unison.
Then Zeke approached Reina and said.
“Follow me Reina. I will destroy the center of the barrier.”
Reina suddenly came to her senses and followed Zeke.
As I entered the forest I saw a group of monsters and a black magician holding a demon’s sacred water.

The warlock shouted at the monsters.
“Kill that guy!”
Monsters enhanced by the power of the devil rushed towards Zeke and Reina drooling.
Since I was still within the barrier’s sphere of influence I couldn’t use my aura.
Reina broke out in a cold sweat as she looked at the ferocious monsters.
Then Zeke looked at Reina and said.
“Your strength does not come from just your aura. Trust in the sword you wield.”
After hearing Zeke’s words Reina calmed down and felt her trembling body slowly calming down.
Reina raised her sword and charged at the monster.
Wheeeeeek!
Reina’s unique technique that uses the elasticity of her body to cut down enemies like a flash.
The flashlight finally revealed its true form.
Choaaaak!
Reina’s sword split the monster in half.
It was an amazing display of skill using only the power of the body not the power of the aura.
Reina who had been relying solely on the power of the Auror realized that the true power of the Flash was based on physical strength like Duke’s Whirlwind.
Reina’s movements which had grown significantly through the momentary realization showed a speed that surpassed that of a human.
Wheeeeeek!
He cut down the monsters that rushed towards him with his sword light flashing as if he himself had become a dazzling flash of light.
Zeke nodded while watching Reina’s movements.
‘With this Reina has also reached the realm of a true Blue Knight.’
While Reina was fighting the monsters Zeke slowly approached the wizard holding the holy water.
The wizard of the Abyss seeing this focused his barrier more on Zeke.
However since Zeke was using spiritual power and not aura he was not affected by the barrier at all.
Instead of his sword he took out his hammer and focused the power of the Holy Light.
Phew!
The hammer flew in at once containing the powerful power of light and destroyed both the wizard and the divine being at the same time.
Kkwadduk!
In an instant the wizard’s entire body was bent at a strange angle and the completely broken divine being rolled on the floor.
Then the barrier surrounding the area disappeared.
Woohoo!
The knights were able to use their auras again as before.
However the knights of the Great Sea Palace had already been subdued by the barbarians and the knights of Tourne.
Zeke approached the warlock who was on the verge of death in a situation that seemed to have ended rather easily and read his memories.
‘This isn’t the main base. The main base is further up. It seems like he doesn’t even know the exact location of the gate.’
It seemed like they had installed a gate there and summoned monsters.
It seemed like they were planning to send a legion of monsters to the Northern Continent starting from here and then send them all the way down to the Central Continent.
After realizing the situation Zeke stepped on the warlock’s neck and killed him immediately.
Then he came down to the captured Knights of the Great Sea Palace along with the members of the Black Sword Knights.
He completely burned the body of Fretz Mais who died from the power of cautery.
‘Pretz is just like Azmun’s henchman. It’s like cutting off his right arm.’
Now only Gemini and Taurus followed in the footsteps of the sinister schemer Azmun.
It was clear that as Azmun’s power over Abel weakened the pressure on the Roman Empire would become stronger.
In addition since Julius’ side was constantly trying to persuade the legion commanders throughout the Roman Empire Abel and Siemens in Rome had no choice but to be pushed onto the defensive as time passed.
After gathering his thoughts and informing them of his plans Zeke captured all of the knights and wizards of the Great Sea Palace and descended from the Ogre Mountains.
He hid the banners of the Black Sword Knights and Tourn then raised the banner of the Sea Palace and entered the camp of the Sea Palace Knights.
Those who had no idea that the leader Fretz could be dead obediently allowed Zeke’s side into the camp.
As Zeke disguised as Fretz using a shape-shifting cloak entered the adjutant who was commanding the legion on his behalf approached him.
“Commander! I am glad you are safe. A telegram has arrived from General Azmun.”
Zeke looked at him and asked.
“What did Azmun say?”
The adjutant felt a momentary sense of awkwardness at Fretz’s unusual tone of speech but he ignored it and answered right away.
“If it’s Rayna Draker it might be related to Zeke Draker so he told me not to fight him but to step back and assess the situation until he gets there. However it seems like you’ve all been dealt with safely so I don’t think anything bad will happen…”
Then Zeke disguised as Fretz took out a hammer.
The adjutant’s eyes shook at the sight.
“Captain?”
In that moment Zeke’s hammer struck the adjutant’s head.
Kkwadduk!
At that moment the barbarians who had been camouflaged at a distance and the knights of the Black Spirit Tourn appeared.
As the Knights of the Great Sea Palace were thrown into confusion by the sudden attack Zeke shouted while using both his power charisma and the Lion’s Roar.
“The conspiracy of the Knight Commander of the Great Sea Palace Fretz Myce has been revealed to the world! The Imperial Army joined hands with the black magicians and led the monster army to invade not only the city of Barkal but also the entire northern continent!”
Zeke’s shouts spread throughout the camp.
The afterlife effect of instilling fear in enemies and boosting the morale of allies worked well.
The solidly built Knights of the Sea Palace began to crumble.
However since they were also a force to be reckoned with within the empire it took some time for the Knights of the Great Sea Palace to come to their senses.
After assessing the situation they abandoned their camp and instead advanced towards the Barkal Gate.
It was decided that it would be better to deal with them inside the castle.
But then the Barkal Gate opened and armed citizens began to pour out.
“Kill those evil imperial soldiers!”
The most advanced were none other than the dwarven blacksmiths.
They charged at the knights shouting carrying helmets and heavy armored battle axes.
The knights of the Geohae Palace who had been charging forward in the face of the Barkal Citizens’ Army’s momentum momentarily retreated in confusion.
Then the barbarian unit under Zeke’s command immediately blocked the retreat route and held out.
When a strong barbarian force blocked their path the knights of the Great Sea Palace were unable to flee and had no choice but to be attacked from the rear and flanks.
As the number of citizens pouring out of the castle gradually increased the knights of Geohae Palace had no choice but to raise a white flag and surrender.
The Barkal militia shouted in joy.
The situation on the battlefield was under control and representatives of the Barkal Council came to see Zeke who was leading the situation.
Zeke looked surprised when he saw the congressional representatives who had come to see him.
‘Humans and Naga Dwarves.’
They were the three who had been talking about the Northern Duke at the table next to Zeke when he had previously been eating at Barkal.
The human representative bowed his head to Zeke and said.
“Knight of Salvation. I was surprised to receive the letter you sent to the Council. I sincerely thank you for saving Barkal from danger.”
Before heading up to the Ogre Mountains Zeke had contacted the Barkal Council in advance and informed them of his plans.
Thanks to this the Barkal side was able to form a citizen army in advance and block the knights of the Geohae Palace.
The dwarf behind the human spoke snorting.
“I appreciate your help but I hope you didn’t come here to take over Barkal!”
Then Naga who was behind him shook his head as if he couldn’t stop him.
“Sir Zeke Drake the Knight of Salvation would ever do something so petty. He would never do that would he Sir Zeke?”
Naga was a member of the Naga clan who spoke softly and looked after Zig.
“Don’t worry I will never attack Barkal.”
The human senator nodded as if he had expected that to happen and Naga’s side nodded in agreement but looked at him carefully in case Zeke had other intentions.
Then Zeke spoke to them.
“There is one thing I would like to ask of the Barkal Council.”
The three council members looked tense at Zeke’s words.
The human representative asked in a calm voice.
“What do you want Sir Zeke?”
He pointed to the knights and warlocks of the Great Sea Palace that Zeke had captured.
“The Imperial Army has joined hands with the Black Magicians to invade Barkal. Please announce this in Barkal’s name.”
The three council members who had been nervous about what kind of request he would make were startled by Zeke’s words.
Congressman Naga asked Zeek.
“Would that be okay?”
Zeke nodded.
“Yes if I had to ask for more I would really like a cold Barcal beer.”
At those words the dwarf councilman burst into hearty laughter.
“Poohahahaha! I’ve never seen such a human in my dwarven life. I really like him! Knight of Salvation Zeke Draker! I acknowledge you as Barkal’s friend! Let’s go into the city together and drink victory beer!”
The imperial forces that attempted to invade Barkal faced a backlash and their plot became known throughout the continent.
Zeke’s eyes sparkled as he watched the warlocks being led by the three councilors.
‘Wait Siemens. I’ll tighten your leashes.’
