    Episode 386

Zeke couldn’t help but be taken aback by Carmilla’s words.

‘I’ve only used the alias Kai Lubern twice.’

Once in front of the spirit of King Giorgio Luverne and once when he went to the past with the power of Kronos and saw his mother Laura Agamemnon.

In the midst of the confusion unable to tell which of the two it was Carmilla pointed at Zeke and shouted.

“That’s the guy who fought me at the museum fifty years ago!”

It was only then that Zeke realized that the black-clad woman who had been protecting Laura at that time was none other than Carmilla.

I thought it was a little strange that he suddenly became quiet after being so excited but it seemed that he was calming down and then something came to mind and he was continuing to search his memory.

‘So then Carmilla and her mother had a connection before she entered the Draker family?’

Looking at the situation at the time it felt like the true queen Carmilla was serving Laura Agamemnon as her master.

Zigg who never thought that there would be someone who recognized and remembered him from back then was momentarily flustered and couldn’t say anything.

Then Bacchus spoke to Carmilla as if he was trying to persuade her.

“Mother fifty years ago Zeke wasn’t even born. How could Zeke have fought with Mother fifty years ago?”

Carmilla listening to Bacchus’ words shook her small head back and forth in confusion.

“Is that so? No it’s really true.”

Zeke didn’t really need to tell her that it was true that he had gone back in time and fought her so he kept quiet.

Bacchus brought up the main topic to lighten the mood.

“That’s not important right now. Tell Mother Zeke about Caligula.”

Carmilla who had been thinking about Kai Lubern suddenly came to her senses and took on a serious expression.

“Do you know who Caligula is?”

    Zeke nodded.

“I only heard from Bacchus that he was the king of the ancient vampires.”

    Carmilla nodded.

“That’s right. The king of vampires also known as the White-faced King is Caligula.”

When Zeke entered here he realized that the ‘Baekmyeon Tribe’ he had seen in the message meant vampires.

As she was organizing the new information in her head Carmilla continued speaking slowly.

“I am looking for Caligula’s tomb in order to awaken the full power of the True King. Since you have the blessing of the Fairy King I believe you will be able to find a way. Help me find the tomb.”

    Zeke said looking at Carmilla.

“I heard from Bacchus that the traces were connected with the Holy Kingdom so I asked His Holiness about it but he did not even know the name Caligula.”

Then Carmilla pursed her lips with a darkened expression looked at Bacchus in thought and asked.

    “Why why don’t you know?”

Bacchus calmed down the frustrated Carmilla and looked at Zeke with a calm expression before finishing his explanation.

“To be exact my mother had a dream in which she was told that if she went to the Holy Kingdom she would be able to find a clue to Caligula’s tomb.”

“Revelation? Isn’t that something that priests receive from God?”

    Bacchus shook his head.

“You could say it’s a little different from that. To borrow an expression from an old Eastern sage it’s closer to ‘reading the weather.’”

Since it was the first time he had heard the expression it was difficult for Zik to understand what it meant to receive revelation.

‘If you were the hermit of the story you would know.’

Bacchus continued as if the revelation was not important.

“In fact… it was because of this ability that Arthur Draker kept his mother by his side.”

Then Carmilla who was standing next to him shouted.

“That guy was trying to find the Elder Dragon’s relic with my powers!”

Zeke was startled by Carmilla’s words.

“You mean the Elder Dragon’s relic?”

“Yeah he always made me write down my dreams. Then one day I had a dream where I was dying in a place covered in ice with all my limbs cut off. But then there was a black dragon statue in front of me.”

The moment Zeke heard Carmilla’s words he thought his heart had stopped.

    ‘Could that be?’

    She continued talking.

“I thought I had no limbs but then I realized I had arms. And as I was reaching out to the black dragon a sudden light appeared and I woke up from my dream.”

This was clearly what happened to Zeke when he found the Elder Dragon’s relic just before his return.

‘How could Carmilla see that scene?’

I had no idea what kind of ability it was to receive revelations through dreams.

Even what she saw was something that happened in the future that disappeared along with Zeke’s return.

“Arthur looked at the dream journal I wrote that day and asked me to describe the scenery I saw in my dream in more detail. He said that the Elder Dragon’s ruins were in the Ice Mountains.”

    Bacchus nodded and added:

“After that I started searching the Ice Mountains with the Dark Master Baron Draker and Dark Stage personnel. I said that we have to find the Elder Dragon’s ruins faster than Emperor Rom.”

Zeke recalled Arthur Draker and Baron Draker being at the Elder Dragon’s ruins.

‘Did you pinpoint the location after seeing Carmilla’s dream?’

Sure enough it was a difficult location to find.

Zig came to his senses amidst the flood of information and returned to the starting point.

“Let’s put aside the Elder Dragon’s ruins for now. Anyway you’re saying that you were trying to find Caligula’s tomb using that ability?”

    Carmilla nodded at Zeke.

“That’s right. But dreams aren’t something I can control so I don’t really know what’s going on. Since I was resurrected and my body has become weaker I’m always sleepy and sleep a lot but I don’t really dream.”

Carmilla sighed and said I heard that Bacchus had been interpreting Carmilla’s previous dream to find traces of Caligula.

The trail continued to the Sacred Kingdom where I met Zeke.

Bacchus looked at Zeke and said.

“I think maybe it was my mother’s dream that led me to meet you.”

Both prophecy and revelation were ultimately woven together according to the outcome.

It was unclear whether Carmilla’s dream had actually led to her meeting with Zeke but the result seemed to indicate that it had.

‘I have a compass so finding my location is no problem.’

The absolute compass that Zeke possessed was an amazing artifact that guided him to where to go even taking causality into account.

One drawback was that it was impossible to find other locations until the location of the designated location was found.

Zeke was actually wondering which one he should find first: Caligula’s tomb or his mother Laura Agamemnon’s hideout which was said to be hidden in Himonas.

Once you set a goal you can’t change it until you find it so you have to choose carefully.

‘I’m curious about Mother’s hideout but… if Carmilla is captured by Arthur Draker again without regaining her powers it will be difficult.’

Since we still didn’t know exactly what secret Arthur Draker was hiding we had to be extremely wary of him for now.

Zeke eventually decided to find Caligula’s tomb first using the absolute compass.

He took the absolute compass out of his inventory and set the destination to Caligula’s tomb.

Then the compass began to spin around and soon began to point to one side.

    ‘This way… is the north.’

Zig pulled up the map and linked it to the compass and location.

Then I could see a little more precisely where the compass was pointing.

It was none other than Himonas.

    ‘Is Caligula’s tomb in Himonas?’

It was definitely where the compass pointed so it was certain that there was a clue there.

Zeke realized that he could no longer delay going to Himonas.

    He asked Bacchus.

“Do I have to go to that ruins myself to awaken the power of the True King?”

    Bacchus nodded at Zeke’s words.

“If there was no true ancestor in the first place then you wouldn’t be able to enter the historic site.”

It appears that the site was created to respond to the bloodline of the pure Baekmyeon tribe.

Zeke nodded and spoke to the two.

“Then let’s get ready to leave this place.”

Bacchus and Carmilla looked at him with puzzlement at his firm words.

    He said looking north.

“I think we’ll soon find out where Caligula’s tomb is.”

    * * *

    “Haaaaaaah!”

    Choaaaak!

Claymore cut off the head of the monster that was charging at him.

Nikolai the leader of the Himonas Thistle Knights shouted at the rangers of the ice wall while exhaling white breath.

“Damn it! It’s coming from the west again!”

A group of medium-sized monsters were seen running across the snowy field.

The rangers heard Nikolai’s words and immediately prepared their large crossbows.

The two-man rangers wielding crossbows began shooting bolts at the monsters rushing toward the ice wall.

    Doo doo doo doo doo!

Short solid bolts rained down from large crossbows capable of rapid fire.

    Pubber pubber pubber!

As the monsters that were running towards them were hit by the bolts and fell down Sven the vice-captain came up and shouted at Nikolai.

“Nikolai! A group of Cyclops have appeared at the east gate!”

Nikolai heard Sven’s words and ran straight towards the east gate.

The Cyclops was so large that even the strongest ice wall would crack if it were pushed by its weight.

As I ran to the east gate knights were standing there throwing spears and behind them rangers were firing crossbows wildly.

But there were too many Cyclops.

    “Crazy! How many are there?”

    Sven shouted at Nikolai’s words.

“Hey Nikolai! I guess it’s finally time for you and me to show down the gauntlet!”

The match he was talking about was a bet to see who could kill more enemies before dying at the last moment.

Nikolai took off his helmet and chuckled at Sven’s words.

“Yes Sven. Today you will finally kneel before me.”

“This is fucking sick. Get your hands on me in hell.”

Nikolai and Sven immediately jumped down from the wall and simultaneously stabbed the Cyclops in the eye with their claymores.

    Kwajik!

The Cyclops whose eye was pierced by a sword cried out in pain.

    Grrrrrr!

Then he removed Sven and Nikolai from his face and started moving his body convulsively.

But the two men were incredibly persistent as befitting northern knights.

The two exchanged glances and then moved to the back of Cyclops’ head before immediately stabbing him in the back of the neck with their swords.

    Thud! Thud! Thud!

When the Claymore struck the back of his neck Cyclops could no longer bear it and collapsed on the spot.

Sven and Nikolai jumped onto the other Cyclops’ shoulders before he could fall.

    Wow! Wow!

The other Cyclops nearby swung their clubs at Sven and Nikolai.

Then the club flew out in an unexpected direction and struck the jaws of other Cyclops.

    Oh my!

The Cyclops began to fight each other swinging their clubs at each other.

Sven and Nikolai quickly took advantage of the confusion and stabbed the Cyclops in the neck with their claymores.

    But then it happened.

    Phew!

With a creepy sound the Cyclops’ head which Sven and Nikolai were trying to decapitate was blown away.

    thud!

In an instant the Cyclops’ head flew off and fell down and Sven who was unable to dodge in time and was crushed by its corpse quickly dug through the snow and crawled out.

Then he was terrified when he saw something huge right in front of him.

    ‘What the fuck is that?’

A Twin Head Cyclops appears twice as large as a normal Cyclops and even having two heads.

    Grrrrrr!

The Twin Headed Cyclops roared and swung his mace at the ice wall.

    Kwakwakwakwang!

In just one room the entire ice wall shook and cracked.

The rangers on the barrier rained down bolts on the Twin Headed Cyclops.

    Papa Pot!

But it was so strong that any bolts that couldn’t penetrate the tough skin bounced off.

As the Twin Headed Cyclops attacked the Wall Sven looked around and found Nikolai buried in the snow.

    “Hey! Nikolai!”

Nikolai’s shoulders and legs were bruised perhaps because the angle of the fall was not good.

    ‘What the hell.’

He took out the potion he had been saving fed it to Nikolai and supported him.

    “Don’t lose your mind!”

Sven tried to help Nikolai towards the wall.

But then one of the heads of the Twin Headed Cyclops suddenly turned around as if it had spotted them and raised its mace towards them both.

    Kaaaaaaah!

The guy swung his hammer at the two men with a roar.

Sven who was supporting Nikolai could not avoid this.

    ‘Fuck.’

    Pachin!

But then surprisingly with a sharp metallic sound the hammer was cut vertically and fell next to Nikolai and Sven.

    Kreeeeek!

The Twin Headed Cyclops roared clutching its severed arm along with its hammer.

Suddenly they saw someone standing in front of them.

A knight wearing northern-style armor and a white cloak was holding a white greatsword shaped like a wolf’s fang.

Sven shouted as he looked at the person standing in front of him.

    “My lord!”

Northern Grand Duchess Alicia Himonas appears.
