    Episode 379

Zeek frowned when he heard Al’s words.

“Is there a problem with our New Testament?”

Then Al and Jeff shook their heads furiously and said

    “No way!”

“There’s no problem at all! Trust me!”

Zick said sitting with his legs crossed.

“But why doesn’t the Alchemist’s Guild issue a permit?”

At those words Al noticed and poked Jeff in the ribs.

Jeff initially ignored the egg’s signal but as soon as Zeke coughed he opened his mouth.

“We have a grudge against the union…!”

Zeke looked at Jeff as if to ask what he meant.

Jeff opened his mouth with a sigh his expression like the end of the world was coming to an end.

“Actually that’s… We make a lot of creative drugs don’t we? So as we do that….”

    Zeke intercepted Jeff’s slurred speech.

“The Alchemist’s Guild does not trust the potions you make?”

Jeff nodded with a frightened expression his face turning pale.

Then Al argued with Zeke as if he had been wronged.

“But this time it’s different! We worked hard to complete the clinical trials and all the tests the association requested!”

Jeff nodded vigorously at Al’s words.

“That’s right. Payne said that after seeing the test results there’s no way the Federation wouldn’t approve it!”

Zeke said looking at the two of them intently with his chin resting on his hand.

“Hmm all the tests are over but the federation still won’t issue a permit.”

Al and Jeff held each other’s shoulders and trembled as they watched Zeke’s expression.

‘Oh no. It looks like you’re going to bury us.’

‘I guess this is where we end up.’

Zig who had been thinking deeply asked the two people.

“How much did you price our antibiotics at?”

Al and Jeff who were terrified answered Zeke’s question reflexively.

    “About ten silver.”

“What about the antibiotics from the federation?”

“It will cost about 10 gold for the same capacity.”

Zeke looked dumbfounded when he heard that.

“Is there a hundred times difference? What about the efficacy?”

Al and Jeff suddenly shouted in excitement at Zeke’s question.

“Of course ours is much better!”

“There’s no comparison at all! What the Federation made is trash trash!”

After hearing what the two people had to say Zeke clicked his tongue and said.

“It looks like they blocked it because it seemed like the union’s drugs wouldn’t be able to survive in the market if our new drug was released…”

Al and Jeff looked at each other in surprise at Zeke’s words.

“Huh? Is that how it is?”

“That could be true. I thought we went to the headquarters before and sprayed acne-causing potions to screw the Federation over and they didn’t give us permission to do so.”

Zeke could tell from the muttering that these scoundrels had done something to deserve the ire of the Federation.

‘Even so it is problematic to reject a perfectly good drug and not issue a permit or certification.’

    Zeke slowly got up.

“I guess I’ll have to meet with the association directly.”

Al and Jeff were surprised by those words.

“Is Sir Ji Ji-k going to go in person?”

    “Really?”

    Zeke nodded.

“I have business in the neutral city anyway. I should kill those alchemists this time. Al and Jeff get ready to go to the central city. Simon what’s the fastest way to get to the neutral city from here?”

Simon hesitated at Zeke’s words and then opened his mouth.

“This place is not too far from the sea so it would probably be quickest to call the triangle from the southern islands take it to Tahuani and then take the portal.”

    Zeke nodded.

“That would be good. I’ll do that to see Nerissa and the others for the first time in a while.”

The very next day after Simon contacted Nerissa’s side the Triangle arrived at the shore.

    “Zeke!”

Nerissa whom he hadn’t seen in a long time waved at Zeke from above the triangle.

Then riding a dragon-shaped spirit made of water he approached Zigg.

Having inherited the deep-sea heritage from Poseidon she was able to skillfully use ancient elemental magic.

She jumped down from the spirit’s head and stood in front of Zeke.

    “Oh it’s been a while.”

Nerissa greeted Zeke with a blush on her face.

Zeke smiled at Nerissa and patted her head.

“I see. How have you been?”

    Nerissa nodded her eyes sparkling.

Then he stood in front of Zeke as if to ask him to see if anything had changed.

But Zeke just stared blankly at Nerissa wondering what she was doing.

Nerissa who was under Zeke’s gaze turned around in embarrassment and shouted with a red face.

“Why are you looking at me like that!”

    “…?”

Zeke took Al and Jeff up to the triangle while Nerissa went ahead alone.

After receiving a call from Zeke Nerissa tried to calm her pounding heart and ground her teeth as she ran across the sea all night.

‘You seem like a person with no sense at all!’

For some reason the back of my head felt hot.

The Triangle Captain Kidd’s legacy was noticeably faster than other ships.

There Jik who had been given the honor of being the god of the sea was on board the ship and the sea pushed the ship forward without hesitation.

Thanks to this the ship was able to arrive at Golfo Port in two days.

Zig who got off the boat said while patting Nerissa’s head.

“Thank you Nerissa. See you next time.”

Nerissa’s face turned red at Zeke’s touch.

But what came out of his mouth was completely different.

“What what! Do you think I’m someone you can see whenever you want? I’m busy too!”

“Then there’s nothing I can do. I hope the opportunity comes.”

    “…!”

Nerissa looked at Zeke’s back as he left with a light greeting her expression filled with regret and disappointment.

Then Bill who was standing next to me shook his head.

“Tsk tsk Captain what did I say? I told you to be a little more friendly.”

The other fish people nearby also chimed in one by one.

Then Nerissa summoned the spirit and shouted.

“You guys! Get out! Everyone get out!”

It was Nerissa who took her anger out on the people for no reason.

Immediately after disembarking from the boat Zeke led Al and Jeff inside Tahuani.

Under the rule of the cartel it was a place full of poor people and a den of criminals who escaped from the lawless zone but after it became part of the Kingdom of Cusco public safety improved significantly.

I noticed children running and playing on the streets and people laughing and going to and from the market.

Zeke smiled without realizing it as he saw the scenery that was noticeably different from the Tahuani he had seen in his past life.

And Al and Jeff who were sitting next to the carriage felt even more scared for some reason as they looked at Zeke’s smile.

The cities in the Southern Continent where portals leading to the Central Continent were installed were Tahuani and Favela.

However as the city of favela was destroyed its portal disappeared along with it and Tahuani was the only one left.

Zeke repaired Tahuani’s portal to use it as a passage to the central continent.

Although the maintenance cost was astronomical he felt it was worth the investment and so he budgeted for it without hesitation.

Zeke arrived at Tahuani’s terminal and took a seat on the portal shuttle heading to the Central Continent with Al and Jeff.

And a few minutes later they arrived at the Neutral City the city of alchemists.

    Clang!

In the great hall of the Imperial Palace of the Roman Empire a golden goblet rolled to the floor with a sharp sound.

The servants standing nearby trembled with pale faces.

Abel sitting on the throne muttered something with his long hair hanging down and his bloodshot eyes.

Next to the throne stood the Apostle of the Abyss gesturing to his trembling attendant.

The attendant who was summoned by the wizard turned pale and trembled unable to move.

When the attendant did not come the wizard raised his staff and struck the floor.

    Jiiing―

Then the servant’s eyes rolled back and he stiffened like a doll and walked towards the wizard.

The other servants saw this and clenched their teeth and held back their breathing.

As the attendant approached the wizard pulled a dagger out of his bosom.

Then he immediately cut the servant’s throat.

The enchanted servant could not even scream properly and could only stand in that position.

The wizard took an empty bowl from the luxurious table and caught the blood flowing from the servant’s neck.

As the bowl filled with blood the wizard gestured to his attendant.

The servant who had already lost his breath was ordered by evil black magic to move and enter a hole made in a corner of the main hall.

It was a hole made for disposing of corpses because there were so many of them.

The apostle brought the bowl containing the blood before Abel.

Then Abel who had been muttering while his shoulders slumped raised his head.

The two eyeballs rolled in different directions and the lips were discolored black leaving no trace of the red lion that had roamed the battlefield in the past.

Abel took the bowl and drank the blood in one gulp.

Only after drinking blood in one gulp did his face finally return to normal.

    The apostle approached Abel.

“Your Majesty it is time for you to retire to bed.”

Abel who had been rolling his eyes here and there nodded as if he had come to his senses.

“Ah right. It’s that time already.”

Abel who had been speaking calmly suddenly jumped up from his seat.

“Zeke Draker! Bring him here! Bring him here now!”

Abel who had become mad overturned the table that had been set.

Then he pulled out the sword that was placed next to the throne.

“Where is that rat-like bastard? Bring him before me right now!”

As Abel swung his sword with mad eyes the attendants were terrified and started to move slowly trying to escape.

Just then the door opened and someone came in.

It was none other than Ramon Siemens.

    Woohoo!

When Ramon raised his hand the moving attendants froze in place.

Ramon who had passed the attendants who had turned as stone reached out to Abel who was also swinging his sword wildly in all directions.

    “Eu …

Abel groaned at the unprecedented force binding his body then dropped his sword and lost consciousness.

When Ramon saw Abel like that he turned to the apostle behind him and said

“The seizures are becoming more frequent.”

The apostle nodded at those words.

“It appears that the parasite is having a seizure because it can’t stand the dragon’s body.”

The parasite had a habit of completely taking control of the host’s body absorbing its memories and acting as if it were the host and then moving to another body over time.

Originally it was past the time when it should have moved to another body and since it was a demonic dragon with the heart of a dragon tainted by madness even a parasitic creature could not endure that body.

Ramon frowned not liking the imperfect situation.

“Dorta’s side failed. What on earth is the priest doing?”

Given Abel’s situation it was necessary to secure as many offerings as possible before the time for the second baptism came.

That is why they planned to mobilize all their forces and start a continental war by making the Republic of Dorta a scapegoat.

Since Julius and Zeke Draker happened to be having a secret meeting he decided to take this opportunity to get rid of both of these thorns in his side.

But the result was a complete failure.

I ended up losing both of the high-level demons that I had successfully summoned with great difficulty.

Ramon glared at the apostle clenching his teeth.

The apostle waved his hand at Ramon.

“Calm down. Blaming us won’t make this situation any better. Didn’t your lord agree to deploying two high-level demons?”

Ramon also knew that which is why he was unable to come out more strongly on the side of Narak.

As he was trying to suppress his anger again the apostle approached Ramon and said:

“The Republic of Dorta is clearly a miserable failure. But I have some good news for you my lord.”

The apostle said licking his black lips with his red tongue.

“I have discovered Arthur Draker’s weakness.”
