    Episode 365

    Cheeeeeeek―

Steam poured out of the armor and the helmet and the lower part of the shoulder armor split open.

Zeke was surprised to see a completely new type of armor.

    “Is this also Herzion?”

Hades shook his head at those words.

“It works differently from Hersion. It uses a magic drive plate to operate with magical power but this one is powered by internal organs rather than magical power.”

“You’re saying that you’re using a high-pressure horsepower battery but you’re not using horsepower?”

When Zeke asked as if he didn’t understand Hades frowned and said.

“It’s hard to explain to an outsider like you. To put it simply Hersion operates by converting the mana in the wearer’s body into magical power through a magic drive plate. Since the armor is engraved with fine magical circuits it is greatly affected by external barriers.”

    “Then is that different?”

“Yes since it only moves its internal organs using compressed magic stones it can move without being affected by external barriers or magic storms. Looking at its structure this… can only be seen as being made to deal with dragons.”

Zeke recalled a past video where the Terracan Drake’s Dragon Slayer unit was wearing this armor and fighting dragons and demon monsters that had been eroded by magic.

‘Hersion must have been influenced by the magic of the dragon tongue so he made the equipment in a different way.’

I could understand why this equipment was exclusively for the Dragon Slayer.

Hades said pointing to the equipment of the Celestial Tribe next to him.

“That has a similar principle but it has a different function.”

    “What is it?”

“If the Join tribe wears it they will be able to fly in the sky.”

Today’s scorpions do not have the ability to fly.

Their strong beak strong muscles and unbreakable fighting spirit are the abilities that symbolize them.

Zeke looked at the armor of the Dragon Slayer and the Sky Tribe and asked Hades.

“Lord Hades. Is it possible to mass-produce this armor?”

Hades’ eyebrows quirked at his words.

“You’re going to mass-produce this? Are you planning on hunting dragons?”

At those words Zeke shook his head.

“I said that because I thought it would be useful when fighting demons not just dragons.”

The demons were quite a difficult opponent as they could use not only magic but also fighting techniques.

The Demon’s fighting technique had the effect of disrupting the knights’ aura so if they defended with this armor it seemed that even ordinary knights would be able to deal with low-level Demons.

Hades thought carefully after hearing Zeke’s explanation then nodded.

“There is nothing that won’t work out.”

    “Really?”

“Yes if I could redesign it to simplify the structure and have blacksmiths who could properly implement it it would be possible. It wouldn’t be possible right away since it would require a redesign and it would cost some money.”

A thought came to Zeke’s mind.

‘I think Mr. Golin would be interested in this work.’

If you could convince Gellion to bring you Gorlin and have him create a prototype and then recruit some of the best dwarven craftsmen to build it in the Southern Isles you could produce enough to arm a large number of knights.

Although it was unclear whether Zeke himself was the true successor destined to destroy the Demon King it would not hurt to prepare for now.

Zeke’s cautious personality was showing its power in unexpected places.

While Zeke was making plans with Hades someone knocked on the door.

The person who came in was none other than Yellin.

“Sir Zeke do you have a good time?”

Zeke sensed that Yellin wanted to say something else so he gave Hades a brief explanation of the situation and went up to the hotel rooftop with her.

The rooftop had a separate garden for the top floor guests.

Zeke walked around the rooftop garden with Yellin.

But Yellin just hesitated and didn’t get to the main point.

‘What are you trying to say by taking so long?’

In fact Zeke had come up to the spacious rooftop on purpose because he thought Yellin would ask him to spar since it had been a long time since they had met.

At that moment Yellin who was puzzled by the unexpected atmosphere opened her mouth while looking at Zeke.

“Your Majesty Sir. This time I came here and realized… there are many beautiful women of marriageable age around me.”

Zeke tilted his head at Yellin’s words.

    ‘Beautiful women? Who are they?’

Zeke didn’t think anything of it but in Yellin’s eyes all the women around Zeke including Arina Kay Shadia and Nerissa looked that way.

At first I was shocked and thought that all of these women had connections to Zeke so I set off on a journey without a destination in mind.

And only later did he realize that he had misunderstood.

Although she was embarrassed by the misunderstanding she was able to confirm Zeke’s feelings for her once again during the trip.

‘If we delay any longer Sir Zeke might lose his mind to another woman.’

Objectively speaking if only in terms of beauty there was no one who could compete with her but since she had no such awareness from the beginning Yellin became more and more anxious as time passed.

Yelin who had made up his mind like a warrior of Ishtar drew his sword and decided to swing it.

She looked straight at Zeke and shouted out what was on her mind.

“Sir Zeke how about marrying me?”

As for Zik he was momentarily dumbfounded when the completely unexpected words came out of Yellin’s mouth.

He barely came to his senses and looked at Yellin.

Even though she had the courage to bring up the subject of marriage Yellin’s ears were burning bright red.

    Zeke asked Yellin calmly.

“A sudden wedding? Could it be that the head of the household is urging you again?”

At those words Yellin shook his head and said.

    “That’s not it.”

Zeke couldn’t understand why Yellin suddenly brought up the subject of marriage again when nothing like that had happened.

‘Was there a civil war within the Ishtar family over the succession?’

It was a very Drake-like thought.

In that situation it would have been quite effective to bring in an external force like Zeke as an ally through a wedding and then pressure the opposing camp.

Yellin asked Zeke who was thinking about this and that cautiously.

“Do you Sir Zeke have someone else in mind?”

At those words Zeke shook his head.

“No there isn’t really anyone like that.”

Yellin’s face brightened at Zeke’s words.

Then I mustered up my courage again and spoke.

“Then how about me… as a marriage partner?”

Zeke thought deeply about Yellin’s words and then opened his mouth.

“If Yellin and I were to get married it would be the first union between a direct descendant of Draker and a direct descendant of Ishtar so it would have a big impact in many ways. Oh this time since I am a candidate for successor it would be difficult for me to become a son-in-law on Ishtar’s side so that problem is a bit of a problem.”

Yellin’s expression darkened at Zeke’s words.

She chewed her lips and spoke to Zeke.

“Other than that. I wonder what I would do as an opponent to Sir Zeke.”

    “…?”

Zeke didn’t quite understand what Yellin was saying.

‘What are you talking about? I was talking about you as a marriage partner considering that Yellin is the daughter of Ishtar.’

Yellin shouted in frustration when Zeke did not understand what she was saying.

“I asked if you had feelings for me as a woman!”

    ‘As a woman?’

At Yellin’s words Zeke looked surprised for a moment and then became lost in thought for a long time.

And he asked Yellin with a serious expression.

“Are you asking me if I love Yellin?”

Yellin who heard the direct word “love” in the answer that came a long time later turned bright red in the face and was unable to give an answer.

She quickly backed away and ran out of the garden naked.

It was because the direct word ‘love’ itself was too big for her.

Zeke stood there dumbfounded looking at where Yellin had been just a moment ago.

    ‘It’s love.’

Since he was a Zeke who had returned after dying in his previous life and was given a new chance he had never really thought about luxurious emotions like love.

It’s not that I haven’t met women in my past life but they were mostly physical relationships and I’ve never really felt true love.

‘Can you see your relationship with Kay in your past life as love? No it’s closer to friendship.’

Zeke thought about it carefully and soon realized that he had never felt love in the true sense of the word.

Still there was something that felt the most similar.

    ‘Alicia.’

However it was difficult to see Zeke’s feelings for Alicia as entirely love.

Because there were so many complex emotions mixed together Alicia was more special to Zeke than a lover.

She was Zeke’s friend his comrade and sometimes like an older sister or younger sister.

‘Alicia and I are lovers? I wonder how she would react if she heard.’

Zeke chuckled and thought deeply about his feelings for Yellin.

Yellin possessed a beauty that far surpassed human beings.

It was true that my heart trembled and my mind wavered when I looked at it.

But that doesn’t mean it’s impossible to conclude that Zeke loves Yellin.

‘Depending on the circumstances it is possible for me to marry Yellin but if you ask me if I love her I’m not sure.’

Besides Zeke wasn’t sure if he could give Yellin the love he was talking about.

After confirming Yellin’s feelings Zeke had to spend the night with new worries.

And the next day news was delivered that Julius had secretly arrived at the meeting place.

    * * *

Julius famous as a war hero of the Empire was a knight and general who had risen to the rank of the Red Knight and possessed outstanding tactics and leadership.

Because of this it was unprecedented in the Roman Empire for someone to hold the position of both general and consul but Julius was granted permission to hold the position as an exception.

Julius was known as an iron-blooded general the only one who could refuse the orders of the mad emperor and was known to control him.

However Julius’ face sitting in the security room where the secret meeting was held looked quite haggard.

His face was sallow there were dark circles under his eyes and a coarse beard grew on his chin.

He was waiting for Zeke at the secret meeting place with a messy face and a rather nervous expression.

He never seemed like a powerful figure who could control the Roman Empire.

Muhammad who was standing next to him could not stand to watch and offered Julius a drink.

“Your Majesty please have a drink of this. It will warm you up.”

Julius gulped down the amber liquor Muhammad offered him.

Yet his face was still tense.

    Julius said to Muhammad:

    “Is this place really secure?”

Julius had been asking about security several times since a while ago but Muhammad reassured him with a warm voice this time as well.

“Of course. This place is guarded so closely that Abel will never know.”

But when he heard the name Abel from Muhammad’s mouth Julius trembled as if he had a seizure.

“No that guy… that guy will catch me and kill me. He will skin me alive and kill me.”

The fear that Julius felt was transmitted to Muhammad.

‘What on earth happened in ROM….’

Just then the door to the security room opened and Zeke came in.

Julius who had been sitting shivering quickly got up.

“Ji Jik Draker. The Knight of Salvation…”

He looked at Zeke as if he had met a savior.

He approached Zeke holding a necklace with the insignia of the sacred wolf a religious symbol of the Roman Empire.

“Zeke Draker I have heard that you have been blessed by the Elven King and have received revelations from the God of Light. Please grant me your divine blessing as well. Please.”

Zeke felt that Julius’ condition was not very good.

    ‘He’s completely broken. What happened?’

In this state it was impossible to even conduct a meeting.

Zeke grabbed Julius’ arm and buffed him with healing factor and infinite stamina skills.

    Tsk tsk tsk tsk―

As the light emanating from Zeke’s hand permeated his body Julius’ expression became much more relaxed than before.

“The rumors were true. My body feels warmer and my mind feels more at ease than before.”

It would have been more effective if you used Unbreakable Will but since the backlash when the buff wears off is so great I only healed him enough to bring him back to consciousness.

As Muhammad who had arranged the table went out of the room to check on the situation only Zeke and Julius were left at the table.

It was Zeke who spoke first.

“Why did you request a meeting?”

Looking at the situation it seemed that Julius definitely needed Zeke’s strength.

Since you were the one in desperate need there was no need to engage in a reconnaissance war.

Julius said looking at Zeke while shivering.

“Kill Abel Draker no… kill Abel Siemens Constantine.”
