    Episode 360

    ‘Julius?’

Zeke knew well what kind of person Consul Julius was through his past life.

On the surface he was known as a great general and a magnanimous politician but in reality he was a man who would do anything to secure his power.

Since Julius had solidified his position within the Roman Empire by opposing the imperial faction I thought that he had also started this civil war by putting forward Abel and Siemens.

That’s why Zeke found it strange that he had been contacted separately at this point.

Boris spoke to Zeke a little more specifically.

“It was about wanting to secretly meet the boss in the Republic of Dorta.”

Zeke rested his chin on those words and fell into thought.

Then after a while he raised his head and said to Boris.

“Wasn’t it Julius who led this civil war?”

Boris looked slightly ambiguous at those words.

“Surely without the help of Julius the General and Consul Abel Drake would not have come to the forefront. For he would not have been able to prove that he was of the blood of an Elector who was worthy of the Imperial title in the first place.”

Zeke already knew that royal blood flowed through his body through Abel and Cain’s relationship. However he did not know that Abel would actually appear to become the emperor of Rom.

    He asked Boris.

“Did Julius guarantee that Abel was of royal blood?”

    Boris nodded.

“Yes thanks to that Abel was able to strike Rom right away before the other royals could move.”

“Even if Julius had guaranteed it the other consuls and elders would not have remained silent.”

“Yes that’s why there was a problem.”

Boris swallowed dryly and opened his mouth.

“After Abel took control of Rom he mercilessly massacred not only the royal family but also the elders major nobles and citizens of the Rom Empire.”

    “what?”

The moment he heard Boris’ words the image of the destroyed Atlas appeared in Zeke’s mind.

In his previous life the Knight of Slaughter Abel had taken over Atlas with Karus at the forefront and committed a brutal massacre of civilians.

Because of this Atlas once the most sophisticated and developed city in Midland was reduced to ruins and became a city of death.

What happened then happened in Rome in this life.

Zeke said with a stern expression.

“Julius and Abel fell out because of the violent massacre?”

“It seems likely given the circumstances. Among those executed by Abel were several members of Julius’ side.”

It meant that everyone who could be killed was killed without regard to consequences.

It seemed more serious than the Abel Knight of Massacre I had seen in my previous life.

‘Did something go wrong when Ramon Siemens revived him?’

It seemed completely insane to the point where it seemed like a massacre for the sake of simple occupation.

If that were true it would make sense that Julius would contact Zeke first.

Zeke thought about it for a moment and then asked Boris.

“Do you think it would be better to proceed with the meeting with Julius?”

At those words Boris remained silent for a while before nodding in response.

“If you are asking my opinion I would say yes.”

    “Why?”

    Boris answered slowly.

“There are two things. First the Second Prince who Julius supported is a prisoner on our side. Using this we can gain an excuse to retake Rom through Julius and with the Second Prince at the forefront.”

    “What’s the other thing?”

“It could be used to persuade Daria Calvi and the Knights of the Inmagung.”

Zeke nodded after hearing Boris’s words.

Daria Calvi still had not betrayed the Empire.

Her loyalty was deeper than Zeke thought.

However if Daria Calvi heard that Abel had taken control of Rom after massacring its citizens and executing its royal family she would likely change her mind.

    Zeke said looking at Boris.

“You’re saying that we should use Leo and Julius to gain a foothold and cause division within the Roman Empire through the Knights of the Inmagong.”

    Boris nodded.

“Yes. If the Second Prince and Daria Calvi Julius step forward at the same time we will be able to bring in those within the Empire who are dissatisfied with the current situation.”

At those words a person came to mind.

‘The Black Knight of the Empire and one of the five strongest men on the continent Duke Cravandi Panion of the Underworld.’

He was the one who passed on the Hades Spear to Daria Calvi.

The Duke of Craban belonged to the moderate faction within the Empire.

Even when Zeke fought the Continental War in his previous life Duke Craban never came to the forefront.

If Duke Craban had gone to war the Northern Continent would have fallen to the power of the Empire sooner.

Because the Black Knights are the ultimate force representing each force and are like secret weapons.

That is why Duke Craban may have also remained motionless during this civil war and observed the situation.

However if Leo and Julius moved together and started a full-scale fight against Abel and Siemens Duke Craban would also have no choice but to move.

Zik who had been pondering after hearing Boris’s words nodded and answered.

“Tell Julius that I’ll meet you in the Republic of Dorta. Ask for help from the Zayed family.”

He was in constant contact with Mohammed bin Abu Dhabi Zayed the second son of the Zayed family with whom he had previously had ties.

Muhammad was a sympathetic figure to Zik so it was clear that he would be happy to arrange this secret meeting.

Boris bowed his head at Zeke’s command.

“Understood boss. And Shadia has finished preparing for the selection.”

As Shadia had told Zeke it meant that she had selected those from Salmak’s group to remain.

    “How many people are there?”

“About a third of the people who came together.”

“You left more than I thought. I hope there won’t be any trouble later.”

“Even if a traitor emerges among them you don’t have to worry because we can resolve the issue on our own considering the newly recruited personnel.”

As Boris snapped his fingers along with the words two figures surprisingly appeared from the floor.

A man wearing a skull mask and a silver-haired woman bowed their heads to Zeke.

They were the six power users of the Nostra Family who had just attempted to assassinate Zeke.

The silver-haired woman bowed her head toward Zeke.

    “Greetings to the boss.”

They were healed by Zeke after being brainwashed by Arina.

    Zeke nodded at them.

“The one with the sand ability was Adol and you the one with the crystallization ability were Serina.”

Serena nodded surprised that Zeke remembered her name.

    “That’s right boss.”

“Are you feeling better since receiving treatment?”

In the Nostra family Six has always been an object of fear.

However because they were thought of as experimental subjects it was difficult to expect human communication or interaction.

But there was no sign of that in Arina or Zeke’s camp.

That’s why Serena and Adol chose to turn to Zeke.

“It’s okay boss. Thank you again for saving our lives when we were enemies.”

Thanks to Zeke’s treatment their abilities were lower than before but they no longer had to rely on medicine to survive.

Serena felt truly grateful to Zeke.

    Zeke nodded at her words.

    “I’m glad you’re okay.”

The size of the intelligence unit grew with the addition of Shadia Salmak’s assassins Serina and Adol Sion from Six and former Night Killer Aeren under Boris.

Zeke decided to believe Boris when he said that he could solve the problem on his own.

“Tell Shadia to bring the selected personnel and come find me. You can handle the rest yourself.”

Boris bowed his head to Zeke and retreated out of the office.

Zeke decided to first meet with Julius and then accept the Sultan’s invitation.

They said there was a portal set up in the Republic of Dorta so it seemed like it would be easy to get there right away.

‘Then this time it would be better for Hades and Yellin to go to Dorta together.’

When Zig who had finished organizing his plans got up from his seat and was about to go back to the living room

    Boom! Boom!

    ‘huh?’

There was a commotion outside the mansion.

Zeke opened the window and looked outside.

Outside the mansion hundreds of guards and dozens of knights were gathered.

    ‘what?’

I felt it was strange because there was no way that they would come to openly attack Zeke with that many people.

Then something appeared in Zeke’s sight.

The guards and knights realized that they were guarding a dozen or so cloaked figures standing in front of the mansion.

    ‘That’s…?’

In an instant Zeke leapt out the window.

    * * *

The captain of the Atlas 5th District Guard couldn’t believe the situation.

    ‘You’re a monster you’re a monster.’

Unidentifiable giants wearing thick cloaks and hoods appeared at the gate and forced their way in without revealing their identities so we stood in front of them.

But the well-trained soldiers were pushed into the air by the giants’ strength and were slammed into the wall.

The guards alone couldn’t handle it so they eventually called in the knights.

But even the knights who used auras were no match for these giants.

The giants burned the gate to the ground and even threw the knights against the walls eventually reaching the city of Atlas.

Atlas famous for its security was breached by less than twenty men.

Eventually an emergency was declared throughout Atlas and guards and knights had to run everywhere to chase these giants.

Soon enough they found traces of the giants but to their surprise they were gathered in front of the mansion of the Knight of Salvation Zeke Draker.

The captain of the guard was afraid that they might harm the renowned knight of salvation so he hurriedly brought all the men he could to stop them.

The captain of the guard shouted at the giants who were trying to break down the mansion’s door with their fists.

“Stop! Drop your weapons and kneel on the floor! If you don’t follow my orders you will be executed immediately!”

But the giant paid no attention to the captain of the guard and continued to pound on the mansion’s door.

Then one of the knights standing next to the captain of the guard said to him:

“Captain this won’t work. If they accidentally get in it will be a big problem for Lord Zeke Draker so it would be better to dispose of them here.”

It was a knight who had not seen the giant burning the gate to the ground earlier.

The captain of the guard broke into a cold sweat at the knight’s words.

‘Will this number of people be able to catch those monsters?’

    Honestly I wasn’t sure.

But in a situation like now there wasn’t much of a choice.

The captain of the guard closed his eyes tightly and nodded.

    “Attack!”

At those words the knights stepped forward swords in hand.

They raised their auras strengthened their bodies and approached the giant.

Since they were of the level of the Purple Knights they were skilled enough to wield the sword.

    “Haaaah!”

The knight who had urged the captain to attack ran towards them with enthusiasm.

His sword flew towards the giant’s back.

    Boom!

Surprisingly the knight’s sword failed to cut the giant’s back and bounced off.

The giant just scratched his back as if he had been bitten by a mosquito.

The other knights approached them and only then did the giants turn their heads.

Then he took off the hood he was wearing and revealed his face.

The knights who had been rushing forward suddenly retreated in confusion.

    “Ba Bavarian!”

The notoriety of the Barbarians was well known to the knights.

Their amazing physical abilities which were impervious to even the auror and black magic were so amazing that they were called the natural enemies of knights.

The barbarians glared at the knights with grim expressions.

The knights retreated frightened by the icy gaze of the barbarians.

The captain of the guard also saw this and thought that his life might end here.

    But then it happened.

    Boom!

It seemed as if something was flying in the air and then a figure landed in front of the Barbarians.

The captain of the guard and the knights were shocked when they confirmed the identity.

    “Sir Zeke!”

The Knight of Salvation Zeke Draker had appeared in person.

Zeke slowly got up and turned towards the barbarians.

The guards and knights gulped as they saw Zig facing the barbarians.

Then one of the barbarians approached Zeke.

He moved his body quickly and ran towards him.

The guards and knights shouted in horror.

    “no!”

    But then something amazing happened.

    “Brother Zeke!”

The barbarian ran towards Zeke and hugged him.

Zeke looked at the Barbarian and smirked.

“Wang Jumuk. It’s been a really long time.”
