    Episode 349

    “Stop it!”

The magicians of the cult cried out in horror at the sudden shock of electricity.

But the lightning of light did not only fall on the kiln.

    Phage phage phage!

The lightning spread out to the sides sweeping away the bodies of the surrounding cult wizards.

    “Krrrrrrr!”

The magicians of the cult who were struck by lightning fell down foaming at the mouth.

The guards who were about to charge forward to deal with the Golem Knights turned around and ran back towards the palanquin.

But then the Golem Knights attacked the guards with their greatswords.

    Phew!

A greatsword taller than the average adult male fell on the heads of the knights of the guard.

    Kwakwakwang!

Unlike the Knights of Scorpio the guards dispersed and avoided the greatswords.

At that moment a powerful mana cannon flew towards the palanquin containing the emperor.

Before the guards could even run the mana cannon flew in and exploded.

    Kwakwakwakwang!

A huge explosion shook the entire ruins of the Holy King.

Carlito who had been watching from behind clenched his teeth.

‘Damn it. I shouldn’t have come here. I should have bowed to Julius and lined him up!’

Soon the cloud of dust cleared revealing the obscured kiln.

But surprisingly the kiln was intact and unscathed.

    Tsk tsk tsk―

A shield surrounded the palanquin and blocked the mana cannon. However as if it had exhausted its strength the semicircle surrounding the palanquin soon collapsed and disappeared.

As soon as the barrier blocking the mana cannon disappeared the guards rushed straight towards the palanquin.

“Get out of here right now!”

The guards were about to leave this place immediately carrying the Emperor’s palanquin.

But then something suddenly popped out from beyond the curtain.

    chin!

A hand black and dry like that of a mummy grasped the crown of the palanquin-bearing knight of the guard.

    Ss …

The dried hand instantly took the knight’s life force away.

    “Kwaaaaak!”

The knight carrying the palanquin had his energy absorbed and turned into a withered mummy.

    Bam!

The knight who had become a mummy with only thin skin remaining on his bones fell to the ground.

The Emperor’s hand which had been withered and holding the knight’s head gradually regained its vitality and returned to its normal state.

But even the shape of the hand was difficult to see as human.

His skin was darkened and his fingernails were large and sharp like those of an animal.

The Emperor shouted again his hand inside the curtain.

“Go to where the holy king’s remains are immediately! Quickly!”

The Emperor drove his guards to their deaths with a mad voice thinking that he could regain his original power if he could only find the remains.

The guards turned back to the door at the Emperor’s command. Auror blades shot up as they raised their swords with a show of determination.

The guards swung their auror blades at the golem knights.

    Kwakwakwang!

A powerful sword strike struck but the Golem Knights were able to block even the Aura Blades of the Royal Guards.

Even that was of no use since it was a solid mithril shield plated with orichalcum.

    thud!

Golem knights stood guard at the front of the room holding their shields in front.

Once a solid wall was built we could not move forward any further.

Then the emperor shouted from inside the palanquin.

    “Wake up Gillian!”

The magician of the cult standing nearby was startled by the emperor’s shout and quickly raised the sacred water high and shook it.

The snake-wrapped skull statue began to vibrate violently and then its mouth opened wide.

    Shh …

The snake sculpture which was thought to be made of stone began to move with an ominous sound.

The snake descended underground on the staff and moved quickly towards Gillian who was bound in restraints.

    “What what!”

Carlito who was next to Gillian was startled by the black snake that suddenly approached him and swung his sword here and there to try to shoo the snake away.

    “Go away! Go away!”

Then the snake raised its head and looked into Carlito’s eyes.

The snake’s red eyes flashed and then the eyes of Calito who was looking at it began to blur.

    “Uh huh…?”

As Carlito staggered back the snake crawled towards the restrained Gillian.

    Shhhhhh!

The snake crawled up Gillian’s body making an ominous sound.

Gillian screamed and thrashed wildly as the snake burrowed into her leather restraints.

    Wow! Wow!

Gillian’s body which had been squirming while lying down soon sagged.

Then suddenly he sat up straight.

    Ss …

An ominous black aura flowed out from Gillian’s body.

The leather restraints now de-enchanted could no longer hold Gillian.

Gillian immediately tore the leather restraints apart.

    Boom boom!

The magical restraints made from dragon skin were torn apart.

Gillian also tore off the metal muzzle covering her face with her hands and threw it away.

    “Huh huh…..”

Gillian’s face was revealed and had a black snake symbol tattooed on it almost like a tattoo.

His eyes were tinted red similar in color to the snake’s eyes that had knocked Carlito unconscious earlier.

    “Ugh!”

Gillian clutched her head in pain.

Then a shout erupted from inside the kiln again.

“Gillian! Get those guys out of my sight right now!”

At the Emperor’s command Gillian’s eyes turned even redder.

    “Ugh!”

A black aura rose from Gillian’s body.

Gillian who was on the verge of becoming a Black Knight was originally an outstanding knight who showed outstanding skills even among the commanders of the Imperial Legions.

But the energy emanating from Gillian’s body now was far beyond his usual level.

Gillian pulled out the greatsword he had on his back.

I tore off the tightly wrapped chain with my bare hands and untied the cloth.

It was a large dull-looking sword like something a butcher might use to cut the throats of animals in a slaughterhouse.

He ran towards the golem knights blocking his way holding a greatsword.

    Phew!

Gillian swung his greatsword at the Golem Knights’ shields breathing out black aura.

    Kwakwakwakwang!

The Golem Knights who had not budged a beat from the Aura Blades of the Royal Guard collapsed in battle with this one blow.

    Gillian’s attacks didn’t end there.

    Phew!

Gillian pulled out his greatsword and struck the golem knights repeatedly.

    Kwakwakwang!

Shields and even mithril armor were dented by Gillian’s greatsword and several golem knights were sent flying into the wall by the sword strike.

    Kookookookook!

The ranks of the Golem Knights collapsed under the powerful attack of Gillian and a path through the door opened.

The guards quickly took advantage of the gap and entered the palanquin carrying the Emperor.

The interior of the Holy King’s resting place was so large that it could be compared to the great chapel of the Holy Kingdom of Vadoka.

Detailed paintings were painted all over the walls and the interior was beautifully and reverently decorated in the Louvre style.

In the middle of the resting place stood a huge stone statue of the king and in front of it was a stone coffin.

    The social wizard shouted excitedly.

“Your Majesty! That’s it! Those are definitely the remains of the Holy King.”

The Emperor reached out beyond the curtain and gestured for them to check.

Then the knights of the Royal Guard approached and opened the lid of the sarcophagus.

Inside the sarcophagus a knight wearing armor identical to that of the statue was lying with his sword resting on his chest and his hands clasped together.

It was an image that suited the Holy King who symbolized the Holy Knight.

    Kookookookook―

But then suddenly the entire shelter began to vibrate.

But as if he didn’t care at all he pulled back the curtain of the palanquin and slowly walked out raising his body from inside.

But there was something strange about the emperor’s body that was revealed to the outside.

His face was covered with a thick cloth so he could not be seen but his body and physique were so huge that it seemed as if the purple robe that symbolized the Emperor of the Roman Empire was about to burst open.

    Wood crack!

There was a strange sound coming from the Emperor’s shoulder and a bone bulged out causing his already tight clothing to rip.

The floor shook with every step the emperor took as he came down from the palanquin.

The emperor reached the sarcophagus with slow steps.

It was when he stretched out his beast-like hand to grasp the remains of the holy king lying in the sarcophagus.

The sorcerer of the cult approached the emperor.

    “Your Majesty!”

The Emperor turned his head and shouted at the sorcerer of the cult through the veil covering his face.

“What are you doing! The remains of the Holy King are here! Offer them to the black snake in my mouth and quickly heal my body!”

Then the magician of the cult looked at the emperor with an incomprehensible look and said:

“This is not what the West wants.”

    Kugugugugugu―

Again the entire shelter shook and cracks appeared in the walls.

Even through the thick curtain the emperor’s fierce gaze was visible.

“Are you insulting me right now!”

The emperor extended his hand towards the wizard.

Then the wizard was sucked into the Emperor’s hands by an unprecedented power.

    “Keke kekekeke! Your Majesty!”

The Emperor held the wizard in one hand and looked at him speaking in a hoarse voice like that of an animal.

“I brought you the remains as your god desired. But this is not what you wanted!”

    Kkwadduk!

As the Emperor exerted his power the wizard’s neck snapped and his body dangled like a doll.

    Tsk tsk tsk―

The Emperor absorbed the life force of the wizard in his hand.

    Wood crunch!

The Emperor’s back and shoulders became lumpy again and his clothes began to puff out tightly again.

He shouted as he looked at the other wizards.

“Call your gods now! Bring me a young and strong! Immortal body….”

    Phew!

The Emperor suddenly felt a pain behind his back and slowly turned around.

The remains of the king who had been lying in the sarcophagus rose and stabbed himself in the back with a sword.

For a moment the emperor’s eyes flashed.

    “What a rat!”

    Phage phage phage!

A brilliant light and lightning shot out from the sword that stabbed the emperor in the back.

    “Kkaaaak!”

The Emperor screamed at the power of light burning through his body.

    Ss …

Zig who was lying in the sarcophagus took off his shape-shifting cloak and returned to his original form.

Sieg left Roland stuck in the Emperor’s back and immediately took out Bahamut.

    The guards rushed towards him.

    Phew!

A dozen or so Aura Blades flew towards Zeke but he did not flinch at all.

Zeke leapt straight out of the sarcophagus and swung his sword at the guards.

Application of the dragon killing method

    Black Sword

    Black Wind

The sword wind filled with a silent aura swept away the rushing guards.

    “Ugh!”

As the guards retreated Zeke immediately activated the Glacial Hell towards them.

The guards who had difficulty controlling their bodies due to the black wind were startled when the temperature around them suddenly dropped and their bodies became dull.

    “Haat!”

The knights of the Royal Guard tried their best to shake off the cold with their aurors.

Then this time a huge flame engulfed them.

    “Kkaaaak!”

The blazing hell that Zeke had continuously created met the black wind and created a fierce flame that enveloped the guards.

The guards whose bodies were set on fire before the cold had even gone away struggled to escape but all efforts were in vain.

The situation that befell the knights of the Royal Guard was literally hell.

In the blazing flames Zig slowly approached the Emperor.

‘Roland was hit by the thunderbolt while still attached so he won’t be able to do anything.’

While thinking like that the emperor went towards the hidden palanquin but the magicians of the cult cast a curse on Zeke.

    Woohoo!

Curse Reflection was activated and the bounced curse returned towards the caster.

    “Kwaaaaak!”

The wizards who had returned the curse they had put on Zeke fell to the floor trembling.

Zeke swung his sword mercilessly and cut off the wizard’s head.

‘You’re still using magic even after using magic sealing. It seems closer to sorcery than magic.’

The magic used by the cult’s wizards was a direct continuation of the ancient form of magic and was closer to sorcery than Zigg had expected.

Because the curse is performed using a medium such as a drug or the power of a constellation rather than magic power it is not affected by magic blocking techniques.

It was when Zeke was approaching the palanquin killing all the wizards.

Suddenly the palanquin shook and flew towards Zig.

    Kwakwakwang!

Zeke split the palanquin that was flying towards Bahamut.

Then something huge flew towards Zeke again.

    Kwakwakwakwang!

Condensed magical power poured out towards Zig like a compressed mana cannon.

Zeke quickly picked up Bahamut and swung it at the magic cannon.

    Kwakwakwang!

The magic cannon itself split to the side and was destroyed by the offset.

Zeke raised his head and confirmed that the being had fired a magic cannon at him.

    Krrrrrrrr―

A body and physique larger than an ogre. Hair that spreads out in all directions and a coarse beard. And even sharp pointy teeth like those of a monster.

A sight so horrible that it is hard to believe it is human.

This terrible monster was none other than Nero Claudius Constantine the emperor of the Roman Empire.
