    Episode 330

    Ss …

A translucent horse with a bluish-gray mane and glowing red eyes ran silently.

It was a ghost horse created by summoning the spirit of a dead horse.

Red Eye vampires could travel silently between cities riding these ghost horses summoned by necromancy.

And at this very moment ghost horses carrying vampires swam through the forest cutting through the darkness.

A dozen vampires soon arrived at an old monastery located not far from Vadoka.

    Srrrrrrrr—

As the vampires disembarked the ghost horse disappeared of its own accord.

The Red Eye vampires wore only leather pants and a leather vest over their bare bodies revealing pale skin. The vest had a large red eye symbol on it.

Then the door to the old monastery opened and another vampire appeared inside.

    “Come in brothers.”

The vampire who emerged from the monastery had a full beard and several tattoos on both arms.

He welcomed those who came to his monastery.

“Thank you so much for coming all the way here.”

“Our brother’s difficulties are not the same as ours.”

Red Eye’s vampires were known for their strong bonds.

Nowadays it is becoming increasingly difficult for vampires to maintain their bloodline to the point where they are considered a minority race.

That is why they banded together and formed a strong cohesive organization to preserve their race and protect their territory.

Because of this even though they were far apart they would always ride their ghost horses to visit each other and help each other out.

This time the vampires who had come forward to help their kind entered the old monastery together.

Those who came to the monastery were the branch director and members in charge of the Holy Kingdom branch.

The branch manager asked the vampire inside the monastery.

“Captain I heard some brief news through the crows. However it was difficult to understand the entire story conveyed. Can you tell me more about what happened?”

The vampire called Captain nodded and opened his mouth at the branch manager’s words.

“It was certainly difficult to convey the entire story through the crow. I apologize for that.”

    He continued speaking slowly.

“I found traces of the king.”

At those words not only the branch manager but also the other vampires behind him were surprised.

“Wow a trace of the king? Is that true?”

“Yes I made contact with the Founder’s bloodline. Through him I was looking for traces of the King.”

The branch manager’s face turned red with shock at the captain’s words.

“Far Founder? You mean Queen Carmilla? Is she still alive?”

“How about we go upstairs and talk about the details? Everyone must be tired from coming here in such a hurry.”

“I was so impatient that I acted hastily. Please forgive my rudeness.”

“Don’t say such things brother. Let’s go up. The Founder’s bloodline is also waiting for you up there.”

The vampire called Captain led the others up.

As they climbed up they came across a chapel and someone was waiting for them in a hiding place there.

A figure wearing a long-beaked mask that doctors wore during the Holy Empire.

The other vampires who saw him were startled.

“Is the author a blood relative of the founder?”

    The captain nodded and said.

    “Come here. I’ll introduce you.”

As the Captain was about to take the vampires away the masked man raised his hand and said.

“You came with a tail attached.”

At those words the vampires looked around in surprise.

The branch manager said to him.

“That can’t be! They magically erased all traces of us…”

    Ssrrrr!

In that moment Inyoung who had been hiding in the darkness suddenly rose from the dark floor and swung her dagger at the vampires’ ankles.

    Choaaaah!

The branch manager and the captain sensed the attackers and stepped back to avoid the attack but the other vampires had their ankles cut off.

    “Ugh!”

The dagger-wielding assailant was none other than Shadia.

Shadia rushed straight towards the masked man after the first attack.

    “Hey you!”

Among the tattoos on the captain’s arms the one with lace engraved on it glowed.

    Gooooooooo―

An ominous aura flowed out of the pattern and three laces burst out and flew towards Shadia.

    Kkaaa …

    Race ran towards Shadia screaming.

    Whirlirik!

Shadia dodged the oncoming race by spinning her body in the air.

Although she swung her dagger Wraith a Ghost-type commander was immune to physical attacks.

    Kkaaa …

The twists and turns of the race contained a curse that confused the mind.

Shadia was taken aback and stepped back as Race who was already impervious to attacks let out a roar.

The other vampires around them began to move to capture Shadia.

    But then it happened.

    Phage crackle-

A bolt of light poured down towards the race that was screaming.

    Kkaaaaaaaaaah―

The race that was hit by the lightning of light turned into an ominous aura and was sucked back into the Captain’s tattoo.

The captain shouted when he saw this.

    “There’s one more!”

In the darkness Zeke appeared armed with Hersion and holding Bahamut.

As he swung his sword the rushing vampires were blown away by the sword wind and slammed into the wall.

    Kwakwakwang!

Zeke immediately drew his sword and rushed towards the masked man.

    Pachin!

The masked man quickly pulled out his sword and swung it blocking Zeke’s sword.

    Clang!

The sword split into dozens of branches and dug into the gaps in Zeke’s armor.

However it was impossible to get through Teia’s Hersion with a simple attack.

The masked man realizing that his sword wasn’t working rushed towards Zeke grabbed his arm with a strange martial arts technique and tried to trip him up.

But instead Zeke brushed aside his martial arts and struck him in the empty side with his fist.

    Boom!

The masked man who was hit squarely by the wave-charged sword was pushed back against the wall.

The other vampires including the Captain tried to attack Zeke from behind but Shadia who had regained consciousness stopped them with her dagger.

The masked man spoke as he looked at Zeke.

    “Zeke Draker.”

    He already knew Zeke’s identity.

And Zeke also knew his identity.

    “Bacchus.”

After Zeke took off his helmet he showed his face and glared at him as he continued to speak.

“You broke your promise to Kali.”

“Did Carly send you to capture me?”

As Zeke and Bacchus were facing off the vampires whose ankles had been cut off by Shadia had recovered and were rushing towards Zeke.

“How dare you touch Red Eye!”

Red Eye’s vampires mostly used chains with heavy weights attached to them as weapons.

They hurled the chains at Zig waving them around.

The chain which was a combination of the vampire’s strong muscles and centrifugal force had enough power to bend even an iron plate.

Zeke still kept his gaze fixed on Bacchus but raised his hand and waved it lightly at them.

    Kkwadduk!

A strong pressure was felt from above and downwards forcing the vampires to kneel on the floor.

The chains that were flying across the air also all fell to the ground.

    Kookookookook!

The vampires were unable to move due to the strong pressure that was binding their bodies.

Watching this the captain and branch manager bared their fangs and rushed to save their comrades.

    Kookookookook!

As the branch manager cast his spell skeletons emerged from his shadow.

Three skeletons with red eyes and black bones rushed towards Shadia.

    Pachin!

While Shadia was fighting the skeleton a red light emanated from the tattoo on the arm of the captain next to her and he summoned a red spear into the air.

He shouted at Bacchus as he threw his spear at Zeke.

“Bacchus! We will stop the author! Get out of the way first!”

But contrary to the Captain’s words Bacchus could not move.

This was because the strong murderous intent emanating from Zeke was blocking his very movements.

‘He is not just a simple red knight. Is it true that he met the Fairy King and received a blessing?’

Zeke looked at him and spoke softly.

“You’d better not even think about running away.”

He turned around raised his sword and shouted.

    “Shadia! Step back!”

Then he swung his sword towards the skeleton and the red spear.

Application of the dragon killing method

    Black Sword

    Black Wind

A black wind blew from the sword.

A fierce black wind tore through both the skeleton and the spear and even swept away the captain and branch manager.

    Kwakwakwakwang!

The captain and the branch manager were slammed into the wall at the same time.

In an instant a dozen red-eye vampires were neutralized.

    Then Bacchus cried out.

    “Zeke Draker!”

As Zeke turned around Bacchus swallowed and said.

    “…what do you want?”

Zig who was aiming his sword asked him in return with sharp eyes.

“The information about the island you delivered. Was it to trap Lord Kali?”

Bacchus couldn’t answer Zeke’s question right away.

Then a huge energy burst out from Zeke’s body.

    Kookookookookook!

A powerful momentum filled the chapel.

Bacchus standing in the middle of that momentum felt a pressure so strong that his hands and feet trembled.

    Zeke said slowly approaching Bacchus.

“Bacchus tell me the truth. Did you yourself set the trap for Lord Kali?”

Bacchus barely managed to shake off the pressure and with trembling hands he removed the mask from his face.

Bacchus’ face hidden under the mask was revealed.

A beautiful sculptural appearance gorgeous ash-colored hair and sparkling jewel-like eyes.

He looked more like a nobleman from a high-ranking family than a spy.

Since I had only seen Bacchus in person once in my previous life when I was young it was my first time seeing his face after he had grown up.

Bacchus opened his mouth and looked at Zeke with a pale face.

“…If I say no will you believe me?”

As Zeke approached him silently Bacchus felt the pressure pressing down on his body tightening around him.

Bacchus tried to suppress his fear and glared at Zeke.

“Kill me if you will. But I… have never betrayed Lord Kali.”

“Then why did you kill your biological mother Carmilla and run away from her territory?”

    “that….”

Bacchus bit his lips and couldn’t respond properly to Zeke’s words.

    But then it happened.

    Whoosh whoosh!

A huge fireball flew towards Zeke.

    Boom!

After Zeke lightly swatted away the fireball and turned his head surprisingly an unexpected person was standing there.

    ‘The Pope’s successor?’

It was Roban the successor to the Pope whom Bacchus had held hostage who had thrown a fireball at him. He was immediately recognizable as he looked exactly like the picture he had sent from the Black Stage.

When Roban who was thought to be a hostage launched an unexpected attack Bacchus immediately turned his body into fog and dispersed while his nerves were focused.

    Then he appeared behind Roban.

    “Lord Bacchus!”

Bacchus quickly tried to run away carrying Roban on his back.

But the place he was trying to escape to was already blocked by someone else.

    “Where are you going?”

Boris who had raised his Auror Blade while holding his sword blocked Bacchus’ retreat.

Shadia who had also revealed herself was restraining the fallen vampires and gathering them in one place keeping him in check.

Bacchus realized that there was nowhere to run and spoke to Zeke.

“Zeke Draker what on earth do you want from me?”

“It seems like you’ve had quite a few incidents within the Dark Stage. The head of the Intelligence Service personally ordered you to be brought in.”

Bacchus bit his lip as he thought of Souma.

Souma who gave the impression of being a kind-hearted wizard was actually the scariest person in the Black Stage.

    Bacchus said looking at Zeke.

“I want to make a deal with Zig Drake.”

    Zeke chuckled at those words.

“Do you think you are in a position to make a deal with me now?”

“I’m definitely at a disadvantage but I have information that might be of interest to you.”

    Zeke looked at him silently.

Bacchus threw out some information that might interest Zeke.

“The Emperor marched into the Holy Kingdom to find the remains of the first Holy King.”

At those words Zeke clicked his tongue and said.

“I know that much. I’m disappointed that you tried to make a deal with that information. Bacchus.”

Bacchus knew from his past actions that Zeke’s information power was also considerable.

‘Besides since you said you met Souma in person you might have already heard the information. If I don’t get his attention here there’s no way to get out.’

He eventually decided to pull out one of the important pieces of information.

Bacchus looked at Zeke and slowly opened his mouth.

“What the Emperor is looking for at the ruins is the remains of the first Holy King Geo Luverne.”
