    Episode 328

    Kkwaddudduk!

Ramon Siemens could not contain his emotions when he heard that it was impossible to save Abel.

The energy that had been suppressed with great effort leaked out and struck the solid wall of the stone chamber.

Cracks appeared here and there in the walls due to Ramon’s energy.

Despite Ramon’s reaction the priest spoke in a calm voice.

“Ramon Siemens. As you know it is impossible for any power to completely bring the dead back to life.

“Wasn’t the ‘Book of the Dead’ that you worship created for that very purpose?”

At Ramon’s words a red light flashed in the priest’s eyes.

『Is it a human stubbornness to say something even though you know it’s impossible? I thought you Ramon Siemens would be different but you weren’t.』

“Put that nonsense aside. Following Cain Abel also died. If all the vessels were to disappear I wouldn’t be the only one who would be in trouble but you seem quite calm. Did you make another vessel without telling me?”

“There are no more vessels. Few humans are capable of handling the heart of a cursed dragon.”

“Then I don’t know what you plan to do. Are you going to give up on your goal like this?”

    The priest shook his head.

“You misunderstood what I said. I clearly said that it was impossible to revive Abel Draker. I never said that the plan itself was impossible.”

“Are you trying to play a joke with me? How will you achieve your goal if you can’t bring Abel back to life?”

『That’s right. Abel Draker’s soul is already gone. If he were to be revived he would not be considered Abel Draker. We can keep his body until all preparations are complete and use him only as a vessel at the last moment.』

Ramon frowned at the priest’s words.

“Is it possible to revive it?”

『This body is now close to that of a demon dragon due to the cursed dragon’s heart. A dragon’s body has a tendency to absorb the power of the soul.』

“Stop talking nonsense and get to the point.”

『It is possible to revive this body with a part of the soul that resided in the body of the Dragon Man. However it will not be the Abel Draker of old.』

    Abel but no longer Abel.

Ramon was troubled by the priest’s words and asked him:

“If that happens will it affect the second baptism?”

“I can’t guarantee that there won’t be any at all. But it’s not impossible.”

Ramon who had been thinking hard quickly made a decision and spoke to the priest.

“Wake up your body. Right now I need Abel Drake even if it’s only formally.”

At those words the priest looked at Ramon and said

“Really? Once you wake up you can never go back.”

“Wake up. You can’t proceed with your plans by putting out a dead body. If you are to achieve your goals my plans must also be accomplished.”

    The priest nodded.

“Okay I’ll tell you what you need. Get ready.”

Ramon looked down at Abel’s body lying on the stone steps then turned and went outside.

He spoke to the wizards waiting in the stone chamber.

    “Bring me everything I need.”

    “Oh I understand.”

“Is the connection with the Rider of Blood and Madness still not working?”

At Ramon’s words the wizards opened their mouths sweating profusely.

“I think that maybe there is something wrong with the origin of the constellation itself…”

Finally when trying to test the weapon the connection to the Blood and Madness Riders that were powering the weapon was cut off.

    Ramon thought about the reason.

    ‘Zeke Draker…’

Zeke who I thought was just a pesky loach was ruining my plans here and there.

He recalled intelligence that Zeke Draker was headed to the Holy Realm.

    ‘That will be your grave.’

    * * *

Since the distance from Jason to the Holy Kingdom was not that far the warships carrying the knights were able to reach the Holy Kingdom’s port in three days.

But as I approached the port something about the atmosphere felt strange.

    “All hands prepare for battle.”

At Zeke’s command not only the Black Knights but also the Silver Knights became tense and stood on alert.

Even though it was still broad daylight the harbor was covered in thick fog creating a gloomy atmosphere and no sign of life.

Zeke looked closely at the harbor and said to Zeros.

“Zeros can you clear that fog?”

    “Let’s first secure the view.”

Zeros held his staff and focused his magical power.

    Hooooooooooo!

A strong wind began to blow scattering the fog that had settled around the harbor.

    Kookookookook!

But after a while the fog quickly filled the space again swirling around the wind created by Zeros.

Seeing that Zeros shook his head and said.

“My lord I think that is just fog conjured by magic.”

“I don’t think it’s ordinary magic at that scale.”

“Yes it seems like they set up a magic circle and activated large-scale climate magic.”

This meant that a large magic circle was intentionally set up to block enemies from entering the port and fog was summoned to obscure their vision.

‘Orcs use magic too but not like this. This is… the work of the Empire.’

It was clear that the Emperor had sent an army of Orcs to invade the Holy Realm.

Zik felt the need to secure the port first.

“Don’t stop the ship and just wait. Shadia follow me. Zero you cover me from behind.”

He spoke to the barbarians playing in the corner.

    “You guys follow too.”

At those words the barbarians rose from their seats in excitement.

    “Okay. I was bored.”

After the brainwashing was lifted and they were told to return to the village the barbarians who said they were bored and wanted to play for a while and then return to the mountains instead decided to stay with the knights.

They actually liked what Zeke said that if they stayed here they would have to keep fighting.

While he was at it Zeke gave the barbarians tough clothes made of monster hide and sturdy clubs made by Gelion.

Since they were barbarians with strong bodies anyway armor was meaningless.

The barbarians were eager to use their new clubs.

Zeke led the excited barbarians and Shadia Jethros onto a small boat and entered the foggy harbor.

As soon as he entered the harbor Zeke discovered a familiar trace.

    ‘There are demons.’

Orcs captured demons and used them to attack their enemies.

As expected from beyond the fog wolf-like demons bared their teeth and rushed towards Zeke and his group.

    Kaaa …

Before anyone else could step forward the barbarians rushed in and swung their fists at the demon.

    Kkwaduk!

With one punch the demon’s hand was torn to pieces and scattered.

“You weren’t trying to use a club?”

    “Oh. Right. I forgot.”

Although they were excited about their new weapons the barbarians were still more comfortable with their fists than their clubs.

Zeke and his party explored the area around the port led by the Barbarian.

It must have been a bustling port with hundreds of ships coming and going every day but now there was no sign of life.

Zeke looked around using his dragon’s senses to read the memories of the traces left on the floor and in the building.

Fragments of memories remaining in the object came to Zig’s mind.

‘They haven’t killed anyone yet. They just loaded them onto a carriage and dragged them off somewhere. They don’t seem to be hostages… They’re probably going to be used as sacrifices to summon demons or to make bloodstones. Or they’re going to be sacrificed to other evil magic.’

The human soul was a valuable commodity worthy of sacrifice.

The prisoners taken by the Emperor who invaded the Divine Kingdom in search of immortality would be seen as nothing more than good sacrifices.

It was unclear how they were going to achieve immortality using the relics from the ruins of the first king but it was clear that the demons were involved in this as well.

‘It’s possible that someone from the Demons or the Constellations asked for the relics of the Holy King just as they were trying to seize the holy relics.’

Zeke first planned to enter the harbor and destroy the magic circle that was creating the fog.

Zeros felt the flow of magical power and pointed to one side.

“My lord I sense a powerful magical force from over there.”

“Okay Zeros and I will take the lead.”

After asking Shadia and the Barbarians to provide rear cover Zeke headed to the place where the magic circle was with Zeros.

Then something approached through the thick fog.

    Thud! Thud!

    Clank! Clank!

It was a unit of Orcs wearing thick steel armor and carrying shields and battle axes.

The Orc force discovered Zeke’s party and let out a battle cry.

    “Kill him!”

Ziggy used Lightning Hell towards the orcs running towards him with their axes raised.

    Phage support support –

In an instant five skills were linked together and unfolded causing dozens of orcs to lose their balance and fall exposed to the direct lightning strike.

    “Krrrrr!”

Zeros was surprised and exclaimed in admiration as he saw the orcs fall down foaming at the mouth.

“The new skill you have acquired with the blessing of the Fairy King… is truly amazing. It seems similar to dragon magic.”

The newly learned linked skill was based on Zeros’ theory and reproduced the magic of the dragon tongue so it seemed that way.

Since it would have been a headache if Zeros had asked more in depth Zeke quickly dealt with the orcs that had been shocked by the lightning and went further inside.

Looking closely I saw that there was a huge magic circle set up in the central square inside the port.

The problem was that hundreds of Orc troops were standing guard over the magic circle along with the demons.

Zeke looked around the area near the magic circle again and discovered that there were magicians managing the magic circle here and there.

‘They don’t look like wizards from the Abyss. They look like wizards from the Empire.’

Zeke said to Zeros and Shadia.

“Zeroth I will remove my gauntlet and cause a magical disturbance. So you go outside the area of influence and use your magic to lure the orcs. Shadia you will help the ships land once the fog clears. When the Knights land you will secure the harbor first.”

    “Understood my lord.”

After confirming that Shadia had nodded Zeke placed the barbarians on standby and used stealth to approach the magic circle.

As you can see from the outside there were quite a few orcs living there.

‘It would be convenient to use summons but if I do something wrong and rumors spread that I lead an army of undead it would be a headache so I should exercise self-restraint here.’

The Holy Realm was a place that was much more sensitive to black magic and the undead than other places.

Since it was unavoidable Zeke summoned an invisible ghost soldier to observe the surroundings.

Orcs were stationed around the magic circle and behind them were placed wizards who managed the magic circle.

Zeke slowly approached the orcs keeping his presence quiet.

The orcs were guarding their position complaining among themselves unaware of Zeke’s approach.

“But don’t be comfortable here it’s the rear. Those who went to the front with the special forces are just being shot at.”

“Well I guess that’s how it is. It was great when I came out of the forest but I can’t even loot and I just keep getting kicked around. What the hell is this?”

Orcs were a race true to their instinct for destruction.

They had a habit of leaving their mark by taking their enemies’ territories and building fortresses there.

Moreover they are people who live off of constant destruction and plunder.

Wherever they pass there is only ruin and despair.

However human warfare is different from that of orcs. You can minimize damage by subduing your enemies and preserving your territory as much as possible.

The Imperial Army captured humans from the Holy Kingdom and used them as sacrifices and used magic circles to strategically build their territories so they were different from the Orcs who had a destructive war style.

As a result it was inevitable that various complaints would arise within the Orc Legion.

‘It seems the orcs haven’t adapted to human tactics yet. This could be used strategically.’

After passing by the orcs while listening to their conversation Zeke dug into the magic circle and located the magicians who were managing it.

Then he immediately gathered his energy and performed a magic blocking technique.

    Pfft pfft pfft!

As the magic sealing technique was deployed around Zig the magic power of the magic circle began to flow backwards.

The magicians who were managing the magic circle couldn’t help but be bewildered by the sudden abnormal phenomenon.

“What the heck! What the hell is going on here? Go check the control unit!”

It was when the wizards were hurriedly trying to check the magic circle.

    Whoosh!

The ghost soldiers who had been hiding attacked the wizards under Zeke’s command.

    “Cough!”

The wizards who were attacked by the ghost soldiers fell down screaming in pain.

The wizards realized that the enemy had attacked and summoned their magic to counterattack.

However he was unable to use magic due to the magic blocking technique that Zeke had deployed.

    “This is it!”

The wizards shouted as Zeke emerged from hiding.

    “Jeez Jeez Draker!”
