A Dragonslayer’s Peerless Regression – 318
by Jessie@AFNCC
Episode 318
A faint design was engraved on Solomon’s ring.
‘A part of the Rider of Blood and Madness was sealed?’
It seemed as if the source of the constellation itself had flowed in while trying to use direct force on Zeke.
The wizard stepped back in confusion as the power of the constellation disappeared from his staff.
Zeke didn’t miss the gap and grabbed Roland tightly infusing him with more of his purifying power.
Woof woof woof!
The golden aura surrounding Roland burned more intensely and spread out in all directions.
The staff now deprived of the power of the Rider of Blood and Madness was nothing more than an ordinary wooden staff.
Woodduduk!
The staff that Black Mask was holding was unable to withstand Zeke’s strength and was shattered.
“An abnormal phenomenon has occurred. An abnormal phenomenon has occurred.”
A repetitive voice came from the wizard.
Ignoring it Zeke plunged the Blade of Purification into his body.
Tsk tsk tsk―
A golden aura permeated the wizard’s body and soon black smoke began to flow out from his body.
Zeke reached out and took off the wizard’s mask.
Kkwaduk!
However the face of the wizard hidden behind the mask was completely different from what Zeke had expected.
‘Are you not human?’
The face behind the black mask was not that of a normal human but was made up of mechanical devices such as magical actuators and wind-ups.
And at its center was a crystal sphere with a crimson aura.
A voice came out from inside the machine.
“Target target kill kill kill….”
After a moment the light from the crimson crystal orb disappeared and the thing that had been in the shape of a wizard sagged.
At the same time the dimensional rift closed and the black smoke containing magical energy flowing out of it stopped and dispersed.

The Black Knights who were constantly being resurrected could no longer receive the power of magic.
The barbarians who had been gnashing their teeth behind the wall upon realizing the situation grinned and stepped forward.
“Kueuuuuuuuu!”
The barbarians with battle cries rushed forward and struck the black knights with their fists.
Kkwadduk!
The black knights were hit by the barbarians’ fists and were sent flying with their armor and crashed into the barrier.
Since there was no magic to restore strength the black aura could no longer be used.
As if they had been waiting eight barbarians charged forward overwhelming dozens of black knights.
Richmond and Vane also watched the situation and entered the barrier to attack the Black Knights.
Soon most of the Black Knights were subdued and the Guardians disappeared as Zeke deactivated his defense mode.
[Defense Mode level has increased.]
[Some of the Defense Mode features are disabled.]
[Fortress-sized defense settings are possible.]
After fighting two battles in defense mode the range you can set has expanded to fortress units.
‘It’s the size of a fortress. I should go check it out when I have time.’
Then Richmond and Bain approached Zeke.
“Master!”
Zeke asked Richmond showing him the crimson jewel mounted on the golem’s head.
“Richmond do you know what this is?”
Richmond looked at it and answered in surprise at Zeke’s question.
“This is a blood stone. And this… It doesn’t look like an artificial blood stone it looks natural. Wow this is really hard to get.”
“It’s a natural blood stone…”
Zeke thought for a moment and then ordered that the Black Mask Golem and the Black Knights be captured and moved into the autonomous district.
“Master aren’t you going with me?”
“I have something to take care of.”
Zeke’s eyes sparkled.
* * *
William’s hands trembled as he watched the situation through a crystal ball in the barracks away from the battlefield.
‘That’s ridiculous. Nightgon is getting hit.’
The wizard of the abyss next to William also had an expression of disbelief.
“It is nothing more than a clone of the great blood and madness rider who has given his power… How can a mere human…!”
Nightgon was the ultimate collaboration between Siemens and Narak.
Since there are currently no living beings on Earth who can directly receive the power of the Blood and Madness Rider he taught them how to imbue inanimate objects with his powers.
After much trial and error he was able to create tokens of his power and allow him to activate some of his power through a golem modeled after him.
It was secretly brought to the ghetto to test its performance but I never imagined that it would be destroyed here by Zeke.
Even the most cool-headed William felt dizzy in this situation.
‘No this is not the time. We need to get out of here quickly.’

He came to his senses and called Rahim.
“Rahim! We have to get out of here quickly!”
But William couldn’t help but be confused when he couldn’t see him even when looking around.
“Where did this guy go…?”
Rahim who has the ability to teleport was needed to get out of here quickly.
But when I called him again and looked around Rahim was nowhere to be seen.
That was when.
Kwakwakwakwang!
An explosion was heard outside the barracks.
William’s face turned white.
‘Zeke Draker… he’s definitely here.’
He shouted at the wizard.
“Go out there and stop him! Quickly!”
William dismissed the wizard and hurriedly retreated trying to escape on his flying horse.
Kwakwakwakwang!
Again a huge explosion rang out.
William ran as fast as he could to where the flying demon was.
William mounted on one of the wyvern-like creatures crouching on the cliffside placed his hand on the control panel and gave a command.
“Fly up quickly! Quickly!”
It was at that moment when the demon spread its wings and was about to fly.
Crunch-
A sword strike from behind cut off the demon’s wings.
Kkieeeek―
The demon roared and fell to the floor.
The wind also caused William to roll around on the dirt floor.
“Ugh!”
William quickly got up from his seat and tried to head towards the other demon but he was pinned down by the demon’s huge body and couldn’t even control his body properly.
It was at that moment that he lifted his hand and barely managed to escape raising his body.
There was someone standing in front of William.
“Ji Jik Drake…..”
Zeke Draker was looking down at him with cold eyes.
“It’s been a while William. I didn’t expect to see you here.”
William clenched his teeth and rolled his eyes busily trying to escape somehow.
But Zeke didn’t give even a small opening.
Clang!
A chain protruded from his left hand binding William’s body.
“Eww!”
William struggled trapped in a soul seal but was unable to escape.
Zeke grabbed William by the back of his neck and said.
“There has to be a proper explanation as to why Siemens’ successor was here.”
He called Bucephalus put William on his back and then climbed on top of him and flew into the air.
As Bucephalus flew up Zeke took out Bahamut and unleashed a field of firepower burning down all the barracks William was in.
Whoosh whoosh!
William looked in disbelief as he saw the blue flames that Zeke had released burn down the entire barracks.
‘Zeke Draker’s magic? Or is it an artifact? But can a simple artifact produce such power?’
Zeke Draker was a much more dangerous man than he had assumed.
He was dragged along like a load his teeth clenched.
‘I was completely wrong. Zeke Draker exceeded my expectations. He’s… a bigger monster than I thought.’
By the time I realized that it was already too late.
Zeke took William and flew towards the autonomous region.
* * *
Zeke had William locked up in an underground storage room that he had prepared after speaking separately to the White Moonlight.
And he called Decker and Boris to the place where William was being held.
Decker and Boris gaped at the sight of William Siemens the successor to Siemens chained up and crumpled like a bundle in a warehouse.
Boris came to his senses first and spoke to Zeke.
“What do you plan to do with Boss William Siemens?”
Zeke looked at Boris and said.
“What do you think I should do?”
As usual Decker who was behind him shook his head as Boris tensed wondering if William Siemens was going to be interrogated as well.
“If we interrogate the successor of Lord Siemens without a justification it will be difficult to handle the consequences. Wouldn’t it be better to hand him over to the Drake Tribunal?”
Zeke said looking at Decker.
“Do you think that if you take him to trial the verdict will be that William Siemens was controlling monsters and demons to attack the ghetto?”
Decker hesitated at Zeke’s words then shook his head.
“…I don’t think so.”
“That’s what I think too that’s why I’m worried.”
Zeke turned his head and glanced at William.
William was currently unable to see or hear because his senses were blocked by the soul sealing technique.
Moreover before Boris and Decker arrived William’s memories had already been skimmed through with the dragon’s senses and shadow control.
He looked at Boris and Decker and said:
“I’m thinking of using William as bait to lure Abel out.”
Decker was surprised by Zeke’s words and asked back.
“Are you talking about the Red Lion Sword? No… Is he here?”
Zeke nodded.
“Yes the ones who started this incident are Abel and the Empire. I have already dealt with Morgan Buffon one of the Imperial Army’s legion commanders with my own hands.”
Decker and even Boris were surprised by the words that came out of Zeke’s mouth.
Boris finally calmed down and tried to understand the intention behind Zeke’s words.
“If it were within the ghetto area Morgan Buffon’s death could also be considered a monster attack.”
“Yes that means it is possible to deal with William here as well as Abel Draker.”
Decker swallowed dryly at Zeke’s words.
“Do you intend my lord to eliminate Abel Draker from here?”
“Abel is plotting to invade the continent with the Empire on his back. As you can see they are also not hesitating to commit the taboo of brainwashing monsters and putting them in front. Imagine if this happened in Atlas.”
A terrible picture formed in Decker’s mind.
His face darkened even more.
Zeke said as he looked at Decker and Boris whose faces were grave.
“If we fail to stop Abel here he will strike Sister Kali and become Draker’s successor wielding absolute power. I don’t want the Empire and Draker to join forces and plunge the entire Central Continent into the horrors of war.”
Decker shook his head at those words.
“Is that possible? But….”
Anyway Zeke and Abel were blood brothers.
Decker hoped that Zeke would not be caught up in the tragedy of fratricide.
Zeke approached Decker as if he understood his feelings and put his hand on his shoulder.
“I know what you’re worried about Decker. But if you don’t stop Abel here it’s almost impossible to get another chance.”
The ghetto area had become a sort of impenetrable zone that no one could approach.
Abel had intentionally created it so that he could occupy the ghetto with the Empire but conversely it also gave him a golden opportunity to attack them.
Zeke said to Decker and Boris.
“I will attack the Imperial garrison and draw Abel out. In the meantime take the Black Sword Knights to the border of Alencia. If we join up with Sister Kali’s army there we will be safe.”
Decker heard Zeke’s determined voice and realized that he had already made up his mind.
“Understood my lord.”
Boris who was standing next to him said to Zeke.
“What about William Siemens? Should we just deal with it here?”
If we were going to bury everything here anyway it would have been better to kill William Siemens too.
Then Zeke thought for a moment and shook his head.
“William has his own place to go. Boris you and Visko prepare to attack the Imperial garrison.”
“All right.”
After Decker and Boris went outside Zeke summoned Richmond.
“Did you call Master?”
“How many monsters can you summon from around you with your ability Richmond?”
“Well right now I can gather about three hundred of them. Of course the gathering time will vary depending on the distance.”
“Is it possible to move a large monster that can be sieged?”
Then Richmond thought about it and said
“To do that you need to prepare the spell in advance. You also need to think about which monster to move.”
Then Zeke took something out of his inventory.
It was the horn and teeth of a Balrog that had evolved from a dragon that had previously been taken from the overturned tower.
“Is it possible to create undead with this?”
Richmond was astonished at the sight of the horns and teeth Zeke gave him and accepted them.
“Oh my how did this thing come about…”
Richmond with his curiosity as a genius necromancer aroused examined it closely drooling before speaking to Zeke.
“It might be possible but… we need one more ingredient.”
“What do you need?”
Richmond hesitated and then opened his mouth.
“The natural bloodstone I recently discovered. With it I can create a Draco Lich.”
