A Dragonslayer’s Peerless Regression – 286

Episode 286
“Please! Just help me this once! This is a problem that the magicians of Nirvana can easily solve!”
The Druid shouted pushing away the golems that were blocking him.
But his voice only echoed hollowly through the lobby.
The magicians of Nirvana didn’t care about anything that didn’t interest them.
The Druid collapsed to his knees and pounded the lobby with his fists.
thud!
The entire lobby shook.
He said crying.
“How can you be so cruel! Just one bit of help would be enough!”
The golem seemingly unconcerned with his anger tried to drag the man away but he remained glued to the floor and did not move at all.
Zeke who had been watching this from behind tried to approach the man.
But then suddenly someone touched Zeke’s shoulder.
When I looked back it was Zero.
“Lord Zeros?”
Zeros put his lips to his finger and gestured for him to come out.
Zeros who had brought Zeke out said with an embarrassed expression.
“Whew. That was almost a disaster.”
“What’s wrong? Why is that guy doing that?”
Zeros gestured to Zeke as if telling him to lower his voice.
“Actually that person… is on the Nirvana blacklist as a malicious customer.”
“Huh? A malicious customer?”
“Yes. At first he asked for a simple quest to find the entrance to the dungeon he was exploring but even after finding the entrance he kept asking for more things like doing this and that. If he was going to do that he would have to keep throwing tantrums even if I told him to make a formal quest.”
Zeke was momentarily taken aback by Zeros’ explanation which was completely different from the image of a druid he had imagined.
‘Wasn’t it a mysterious race of the forest?’
Zeros shook his head and continued speaking.

“Because he kept nagging I gave in to his demands a few more times out of kindness but his demands kept getting more and more frequent so now no one wants to listen to him.”
“You’re a troublesome person. But what dungeon are you looking for to do that?”
“That’s a bit absurd too. The dungeon you’re looking for isn’t in the mountains but on the outskirts of Aten City.”
Zeke was slightly surprised by those words.
‘If it’s a dungeon outside of Aten… are you talking about that great wizard’s dungeon?’
Zeke knew of a hidden dungeon discovered on the outskirts of Aten in his previous life.
It was still some time before it was excavated but I was curious to hear that the Druid was looking for a similar dungeon.
‘I know that in my previous life it was not a druid but a group of ordinary adventurers who found it by chance. Did the druids end up failing to excavate it?’
At that time the hidden dungeon of the 9th Circle Grand Mage was discovered not far from the city of Aten causing chaos and one of the reasons for Zikro to come to Aten was to secure the dungeon in advance.
Zeke pretended to be troubled by Zeros’ words then opened his mouth.
“A dungeon in the city of Aten sounds interesting.”
Zeros was startled by Zeke’s reaction.
“Sir Zeke if you get caught up in that… no that person you’ll just waste time and suffer.”
“Let me just listen to your story. If you’re being too annoying I can show you how spicy it is.”
Zeros realized once again that the person in front of him was the youngest Red Knight promoted on the continent.
‘Well I guess it won’t hurt Drake Sir Zeke.’
After hearing Zeke’s words Zeros hesitated and then opened his mouth.
“Then I will go with you. I feel bad that I am only passing the responsibility on to Sir Zeke who is a guest of the family.”
Zeke thought for a moment about Zeros’ sudden joining then nodded.
“It would be a great help if you could help me Zeros.”
As for Zikro the closer he got to Zeros the genius wizard of Nirvana the more he could gain.
This is because the Black Sword Knights he formed were definitely short on magicians.
‘If I could just bring Zeros into the Knights it would be like growing wings on my back.’
Zeke thought to himself as he approached the druid who was still hanging out in the lobby with Zeros.
Zeke spoke to the Druid.
“I heard you’re looking for a way to conquer the dungeon.”
The Druid’s head snapped up at the thought that someone had appeared to help him.
Then he looked disappointed when he saw Zeke dressed as a knight.
He frowned and waved his hand.
“I don’t need a knight. What I need is a wizard.”
He was a druid who was selective about who came to ask for a favor.
Zig clicked his tongue inwardly and communicated his intentions to the Druid through telepathy.
– Are you the Druid who received help from the Ishtar family in the border area?
The druid’s gigantic body flinched at the sudden telepathic sound in his head.
He turned his head to the side and looked at Zeke.
Only then did the Druid rise.
It was almost as large as a Barbarian.

He said looking down at Zeke.
“What is your identity?”
“My name is Zeke Draker. I am known as the Knight of the Sea.”
The druid stepped back in surprise upon hearing Zeke’s name.
“Dr. Draker. Or rather a real knight of the sea?”
Zeros who was behind the Druid spoke in a sharp voice.
“You’d better pay your respects to the true Knight of the Sea Sir Zeke Draker.”
The Druid who was under Zero’s sharp gaze flinched and took another step back.
He suddenly fell to his knees and spoke to Zeke.
“Oh my lord. Please help me just this once.”
He was a druid who would change his attitude in an instant depending on the situation.
Zeke began to doubt whether this barbarian-like druid was a real druid.
‘If you just look at what he’s doing he looks like a back alley thug.’
He said to the Druid.
“It would be better to go out and talk than to keep talking here.”
Zeke took the druid and Zeros to a tavern in downtown Aten.
As soon as the Druid sat down he ordered a beer and drank it in one gulp as soon as the largest mug was served.
“Wow. It’s refreshing.”
Zeke asked looking at the Druid wiping the foam from his mouth.
“What kind of dungeon are you conquering that you have the nerve to act like a brat in front of the Nirvana family?”
The Druid ordered another glass of beer and said with a smile.
“That’s it. It’s the dungeon of a 9th circle wizard.”
At the Druid’s words Zeros who was standing next to him spit out the wine he was drinking.
Zeros coughed and spoke to Zeke.
“Sir Zeke there’s nothing more to hear. I thought he was just telling the truth but he’s a total fraud.”
Zeke calmed Zeros down and motioned for the Druid to continue speaking.
Then the Druid took another gulp of the new beer and opened his mouth.
“It’s not a lie it’s the truth. The 9th Circle Wizard came to our village once and he said that our great-great …
Zeros looked dumbfounded when he heard the Druid’s words.
“Did you believe that and cause all this trouble? It’s so ridiculous.”
But Zeke who was right next to him was listening to the Druid quite seriously.
‘If he was a 9th circle wizard he would have gone to the druids in the north.’
Zeke asked the Druid.
“Why did that 9th circle wizard come to your village?”
The Druid said scratching his head.
“I don’t know about that. Maybe he came here to ask the elder something he was curious about. That happens often.”
The Druids were a race known as the wise sages of the forest.
It was known to possess a mystical realm that magic could not reach dealing with forest spirits and phantom spirits.
However it was surprising that there were still people who occasionally searched for these people who were thought to have disappeared for now.
Of course the huge druid in front of Zeke did not seem to have any such mystical powers but that was what was written in the legend.
Zeke asked the Druid.
“What are you trying to find by entering that dungeon?”
The druid kept his mouth shut and shook his head.
“I can’t say that.”
Zeros tapped his chest as if he was frustrated.
“Sir Zeke there is no need to hear any more. Just go.”
Then Zeke said to the Druid:
“What will you give me if I help you explore that dungeon?”
The Druid flinched at the sight of Zeke’s gaze meeting his own.
He avoided Zeke’s gaze but he still felt his sharp gaze as if it was piercing through him.
After a while the Druid spoke with a slightly trembling voice.
“I only need one item in there. Take everything else.”
Zeke nodded at those words.
“Okay then I’ll help you explore that dungeon.”
Then the Druid looked at Zeke and said:
“But would you be able to clear the dungeon sir? I don’t know about the wizard next to you but…”
Instead Zeros became enraged at the Druid’s words and said:
“What do you think of Sir Zeke Draker the Knight of the Sea? Don’t you know that Sir Draker built the famous Ghost Mansion?”
The Druid flinched as Zeros shouted. Zeke stopped Zeros and spoke to the Druid.
“Don’t worry I’ll take care of the strategy. Just tell me where you are and I’ll go there tomorrow.”
The Druid rolled his eyes and looked around then took out a map from his bosom and handed it to Zeke.
“The location above is this way.”
“Okay what’s your name?”
“You can call me Michelle.”
Zeke nodded thinking that the name Michelle really didn’t suit someone with a bear-like build.
“Okay Michelle. I’ll see you here tomorrow morning at 7:00.”
The druid hurried out of the tavern shaking his large body.
Zeros said to Zeke.
“Sir Zeke that guy is definitely a fraud.”
“I don’t know if he’s a conman but I can definitely tell he’s a shameless person.”
“Huh? What do you mean?”
“He left without paying for the beer he drank.”
Zeros frowned and shook his head at Zeke’s words.
The next day Zeke and Zeros arrived at the place Michelle had told them about and waited for him.
But even after 7 o’clock Michelle still didn’t show up.
Zeros gritted his teeth.
“This conman must have run away for fear of being caught by Sir Zeke.”
Zeke climbed up on the rock and looked around.
The place Michelle had shown on the map was a mountain not far from the city of Aten but it was just a path that only a few people passing through on their way to and from other areas passed by and there was no place where a dungeon could be found.
It was then that Zig came down from the rock.
“Phew. Phew.”
Michelle appeared from the bottom of the mountain carrying a huge load.
He wiped the sweat off his face and waved to the two men.
“Sorry I’m late.”
Zeros was surprised to see Michelle’s large backpack.
“What is all this?”
Then Michelle put down her backpack and said.
“Hoo. Here are the foods to eat down there.”
“City food? Is that all?”
Zeros couldn’t help but be flustered since it was an amount that could feed an average person for over ten days.
Zeke opened the backpack Michelle had brought without saying a word and turned it over.
There was no exploration equipment whatsoever just food and even snacks.
“Chocolate pie and even beehive wine?”
Michelle said scratching her cheek.
“If you go and use your strength you will be attracted to something sweet.”
Zeke created a fire and burned everything Michelle brought.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
“Ouch! No!”
Michelle panicked and tried to pull out the burning snacks.
Zeke said as he grabbed Michelle by the back of her neck.
“I brought the supplies so stop doing useless things and just guide me to the dungeon entrance.”
Michelle walked forward her shoulders hunched over.
He went towards the old well behind the hill.
Then he grabbed the wooden plank blocking the entrance to the well and swept it away.
“Hoo!”
He wiped the sweat from his forehead and took out the candy he had put in his pocket and ate it.
“Oh my I used so much force but the sweet taste is too sweet.”
Zeke ignored Michelle’s muttering and went straight into the well.
Whee!
The bottom of the well led to a fairly deep underground area.
Zig who landed on the ground looked around with his dragon’s eyes.
It was an old structure built with solid bricks.
‘A sewer system? No it’s more like an underground bunker.’
Zeke looked further inside.
So soon a huge door appeared inside.
Zeke was astonished when he saw the pattern carved into the door.
