    Episode 285

A delicate appearance with snow-white hair and eyebrows.

But Zeke soon realized that the being before him was not Caesar.

The eye color was green different from Caesar’s and the subtle difference made it obvious that it was a female body not a male.

Zeke looked at her and opened his mouth again.

    “Are you Kronos?”

Kronos nodded his green eyes shining.

    “Yeah that’s right.”

Zig whose dizziness had subsided somewhat straightened up in his seat.

    Then Cronus said to Zeke.

“Come this way. I remember you liked tea. Am I right?”

Zeke was surprised to learn that the dragon Kronos from his days as the King of Heroes knew that he liked tea.

    “How do you know that?”

“Let’s say it’s the power of the Time Dragon.”

Zeke nodded and followed Kronos into the reception room.

Zeke looked around while Kronos prepared the tea.

There was a view of the city outside the window.

    ‘This place is….’

Zeke looked at Kronos and asked.

    “Could this be Kronos?”

Cronus nodded pouring tea into a cup.

“Yes. In your time zone that would be where Baranaon is now.”

“Are you saying that Baranaon is where Cronus was?”

“Yes your time zone is centered in the east where Midland is but our time zone is centered in the west.”

Zeke turned his head again and looked at the view of Kronos.

A beautiful city that has been renovated to a level that rivals the new city of Atlas.

It was hard to believe that this place was built two thousand years ago.

“Tea should be drunk while it’s warm. Come here quickly.”

Zeke sat down and drank the tea that Kronos had prepared.

    ‘What is this scent…?’

It had a similar flavor to the tea I had in Ishtar.

While Ishtar’s tea had a more concentrated aroma and flavor that given by Kronos had a more subtle and elegant taste.

“The high elves gave it to me as a gift. Does it taste good?”

    Zeke nodded.

After drinking his tea in silence and putting his cup down Zeke looked at Kronos and said.

“I never thought you would call me directly to the past.”

“I didn’t know this was possible either. I think it’s possible because of you.”

    “What does that mean?”

Cronus said putting down his teacup.

“Zeke you’ve already been back in time once.”

Zeke was surprised by Kronos’ words.

Until now no one knew that he had regressed.

‘Do you know because you are a time dragon?’

When Zeke unconsciously showed a wary look in his eyes Kronos smiled and said.

“Don’t look at it that way. I am the one who prepared the ‘Irreversible Promised Power’ in the Elder Dragon’s relic.”

“Are you saying that Kronos has prepared emergency measures?”

“Yes I prepared for it almost as a gamble. But since you came to me like this I guess it was a success.”

Zeke was confused by Kronos’ words.

Because it was not easy to readily understand that such an arrangement had been prepared for him two thousand years ago.

Kronos nodded as if he had read Zeke’s thoughts.

“I know you have a lot of questions but you know what? If I do something wrong I could mess with the timeline and you and I could disappear together.”

    Zeke nodded at her words.

Cronus said taking a sip of tea.

“All I can tell you now is… that the Demon King will be resurrected in your time zone.”

Zig’s mind went blank at the mention of the Demon King. After a while he came to his senses and asked.

“Is the time zone I’m in now a situation where the war has ended?”

    Then Cronus shook his head.

“No it’s not even before Caesar leaves for the fairy world.”

Zeke was taken aback when he heard Kronos say that.

“If that’s the case then can’t we stop the Demon King now?”

As soon as the words left his mouth Zeke realized that there was a contradiction in what he had just said.

    “It’s because of karma.”

    Kronos nodded.

“Yes I know the future. Strictly speaking I know the various possibilities that can occur in the future. If I try to manipulate the phenomenal world according to my own will for things that have not yet happened karma will destroy me first.”

“So the reason you called me here is to stop the Demon King from being resurrected in my current time zone?”

Kronos looked at Zeke and said.

“There is a ‘possibility’ that that could happen.”

The future has always existed only as a possibility because it is not yet set.

As the Dragon of Time Kronos can read its possibilities and speak of the future in the form of prophecy only to the extent permitted by karma.

The reason why prophecies are made up of vague and ambiguous expressions is also to avoid such karmic limitations as much as possible.

    Kronos said to Zeke.

“Zeke Draker you are truly important. I believe you are the only one who can stop the Demon King.”

    “What does that mean?”

    “He who went against fate.”

Kronos looked at Zeke and said.

“You are rejecting the fate that was originally given to you by your own will and writing a new fate by going back to the past. That is… something that even Karma cannot predict.”

Zeke was surprised by Kronos’ words.

“Does that mean I am outside the law of karma?”

“That’s right. Nothing in the phenomenal world can escape karma. But you Zeke Draker are the only one who can. Even now you exist before me going back in time.”

“Why is it only me who can do that?”

“It’s something that happened as a result of countless coincidences inevitabilities and countless possibilities. But… it was possible because of your will Zeke which was stronger than anyone else’s.”

    “The power of will…..”

Zeke felt that there was something that Kronos was not saying.

But I couldn’t ask any further because it was clear that karma had its limits in what I could say.

    Kronos said to Zeke.

    “Take out your watch.”

As Zeke took out his watch Kronos reached out.

    Woohoo!

Something like a mist rose from the watch and seeped into her palm.

Cronus who had absorbed all of the Azirang soon muttered.

    “So that’s how it happened.”

She nodded as if she understood then opened her palm again and placed it on the watch.

Runes emerged from the back of her hand.

    Woohoo!

The light of the runes seeped into the clock.

Soon a message appeared before Zeke’s eyes.

    [Authentication key has been renewed.]

    [???’s clock is activated.]

[You have completed the main quest mission.]

[1000 Karma Points will be awarded as compensation.]

[Two random boxes are awarded as quest rewards.]

[Chronos’ power ‘Revert’ will be granted as a quest reward.]

[The sealing rate of the Cursed Dragon Bahamut’s Heart has been lowered to 45%.]

    ‘Restore power?’

It seemed to be some kind of power related to time as it was the power of Chronos the lord of time.

    “Phew.”

After finishing renewing the authentication key Kronos looked at Zeke and said.

“I have reactivated the watch. You will need it to use my powers.”

“Looking at the name ‘rewind’ it seems to have something to do with time…”

“That’s right. It’s a very tricky power for a human like you to use. Be sure to think carefully about when to use it. If you’re not careful the power could cause the phenomenal world to collapse before you even face the Demon King.”

    Zeke nodded to Kronos’ words.

Then Zeke’s heart suddenly began to beat rapidly.

    “Ugh.”

He grabbed his head as he suddenly felt dizzy.

Cronus looked at such a zeke and said.

“If you stay here any longer your body won’t be able to bear it.”

Kronos placed the watch in Zeke’s hand.

Then as she concentrated her strength different letters appeared on the back of her hands and light flowed out.

Kronos said holding Zeke’s hand tightly.

“Zeke Draker there is one last thing I can say to you.”

She said this while looking at Zig who was sweating profusely.

“Beyond the dark sea. That’s where the truth lies.”

    Kookung!

    Zeke’s body vibrated violently.

    “Ugh.”

Zig writhe in pain as if his whole body was being torn apart.

At the same time a stronger light flowed out from the back of Kronos’ hand and flowed into the watch in Zeke’s hand.

    Wooooow!

There was a huge vibration and Zig’s body became blurry.

    Ddddddddd!

Soon a halo of light exploded and enveloped Zeke’s body and with a loud noise his body disappeared.

    Kookookookookook!

Cronus looked at his empty hands that had been holding Zeke with a bitter expression.

    “…Please Zeke Draker.”

    bang!

Suddenly the door opened wide and someone came in.

It was Caesar who came in with a sword slung over his shoulder.

“What is it? I feel a strange wave even at the edge of the city.”

Cronus smiled at Caesar’s words and said:

    “It’s been a while since I made a prediction.”

“Oh really? What did you see this time?”

“I saw something but I can’t really tell. What I can say is… I saw a knight with black eyes. A knight with a very strong will.”

At those words Caesar clicked his tongue and said

“If there’s someone like that bring him in front of me. I’ll make him my disciple and teach him the damned Elemental Sword.”

“You said you were going to pass it on to Siemens?”

At those words Caesar’s expression hardened slightly.

“Siemens… but where did that Shatton go? I can’t even see his nose. Hey! Shatton! Inma!”

As Caesar left calling out to Shatton Cronus’ smiling expression quickly darkened.

    She looked at her hands.

    His hands were shaking slightly.

“Not yet. I have to hold on a little longer.”

She got up from her seat walked to the wall and pressed down on a spot.

The wall rattled open and a black box emerged from inside.

When Kronos opened the box he saw a black dragon statue inside.

She said as she looked at the dragon statue.

“Please look down on us Elder Dragon.”

    * * *

    Woohoo!

Zeke moved somewhere again with the halo of light.

    Kookookook!

Zig whose vision had returned looked around.

    ‘Here it is…’

It was a museum on the verge of closing.

The security guard who was approaching him still stood still.

Zeke looked at the watch he was holding in his hand.

The hour hand moved one tick to the side.

At that moment time which had stopped was released.

Only then did the guard move again approaching Zeke and trying to shout.

“It’s closing time! Get out of here… Hey wait a minute? Are you a knight of the sea… Sir Jig Drake?”

The security guard recognized Zeke’s face.

Since there were frequent articles about Haeju in the newsletter it seemed like his face was quite well known.

Zeke gave a small smile and slowly got up from his seat.

    ‘Ugh.’

Perhaps it was the side effects of jumping through time that left my head ringing and my stomach feeling nauseous.

Even the healing factor did not cure this motion sickness symptom.

The security guard looked at him and spoke with concern in his voice.

    “Your Majesty are you okay?”

“No problem. Could you please call a carriage for me to take me to the Nirvana Central Branch?”

Zeke soon got into the carriage called by the guard and returned to the central branch.

Zeke who had been taking potions and taking rest in the carriage was barely able to calm down.

‘Time travel. I guess I can’t do it twice.’

Even now I can’t believe that I went to the past and came back.

While Zeke was still somewhat dazed and shaking his body the carriage arrived at the central branch and he slowly entered the building.

But the lobby of the central branch was noisy.

    ‘what?’

A large man was shouting in front of the lobby and the security golems were trying to grab him and throw him out.

But the man’s strength was so strong that he didn’t even move an inch even when two golems were attached to him.

“Please please! Just help me this once!”

The man shouted so loudly that the sound echoed but the wizards passing through the lobby paid no attention at all.

‘What is going on? Why are you doing this?’

The man wearing a thick leather coat and with a full beard on his face looked like a bear in the forest.

    That was when.

[The compass resets the optimal direction to ‘Fairy Lake’.]

    [Information has been updated.]

[Starting to guide you in a new direction.]

Zeke took out his compass at the sudden message and checked the direction of the needle.

The needle was pointing straight at the bear-like man.

    ‘Could it be that guy?’

It seemed like I had found the Druid of Aten.
