A Dragonslayer’s Peerless Regression – 284

Episode 284
‘mother?’
Zeke was speechless as he realized that the female sorceress was his long-dead mother.
His eyes shook greatly when he saw Laura Agamemnon whom he had only seen in pictures.
When Zeke remained silent Laura opened her mouth again as if she found it strange.
“I have revealed my identity so reveal yours too.”
Zeke finally came to his senses at Laura’s words.
‘If it’s the Dawn Society… I think it’s the predecessor of the Rose Society. Is it the time when you were saving the blood relatives of Luverne together with Sir Fab?’
Zeke calmly collected his thoughts.
If he hadn’t had the passive skill ‘Unbreakable Will’ Zigg would have been in such a state of shock that he would have had a hard time coming to his senses.
He barely opened his mouth when he saw Laura.
“I can’t reveal my identity. All I can say is…”
Zeke continued telepathically.
―You came here to find the temple of Kronos.
Laura was startled by the sudden sound of Zeke’s voice in her head.
But soon he nodded lost in thought at the word Kronos.
“So that’s why you got that message?”
As Laura gestured to the others the black man and the archer seemed to step back.
She said looking at Zeke.
“How do you know about Kronos?”
Zeke originally questioned whether it was okay to reveal the truth.
‘If you accidentally touch the timeline the backlash of karma may harm Nana and her mother.’
I had to say something within a range that would not touch the timeline as much as possible.
“I am a hidden descendant of Luverne and I am searching for the legacy of the King of Heroes to protect my bloodline.”
Laura’s eyes wavered at Zeke’s words.
“The King of Heroes? Are you talking about Caesar?”

“Yes my goal is to find the power of the King of Heroes the contractor of Kronos and save the bloodline of Luverne.”
Laura asked Zeke with a confused expression.
“What does the temple of Kronos have to do with the legacy of the King of Heroes?”
“I don’t know about that. The power of Kronos doesn’t always give the right answer.”
Laura nodded as if she understood Zeke’s answer.
She soon took something out of her bosom.
It was the Chronos watch that Zeke had.
Laura opened the lid of the watch and injected her power into it.
Woohoo!
The watch absorbed the light and a white mass of light rose up. Soon the mass of light moved somewhere.
Laura gestured to Zeke and said.
“Follow me. If what you say is true the power of Kronos will guide us.”
Zeke followed the light with Laura.
The light descended into the museum basement.
Zeke’s mind was complicated as he watched Laura chasing the mass of light trying to figure out what to say.
I never imagined that I would come back to the past and meet my living mother.
Without being able to say a single word that was filling his head Zeke and Laura followed the light to an underground space where construction was still not finished.
A ball of light swirled in the air and stopped in front of the innermost wall.
The light blinked as if it was flashing.
Laura tilted her head feeling the wall where the light was lingering.
“Is there something inside here?”
Zeke approached and tapped on the wall then took out Annexy’s dagger and cut the wall like a piece of paper creating an entrance.
thud!
As the cut surface of the jigsaw was passed over an entrance leading inside was created.
Laura looked at Zeke again and said.
“I have never heard of a knight like you in Luverne.”
“I have been hiding as much as possible to avoid the eyes of the Abyss so few people know me.”
Laura still seemed to have doubts about Zeke’s identity.
Before she could dig any deeper Zeke followed the light into the wall first.
Inside the wall there was a long cave-like passage that seemed like a dungeon.
‘There was no such road in the time I was in… Did the cave collapse in the middle?’
Zeke glanced at Laura who was walking alongside him following the light and then opened his mouth.
“Laura Agamemnon are you a healer class?”
Laura nodded slowly.
“Why are you asking when you already know?”
Zeke found out that his mother had a rather prickly personality.
Zeke asked her again.

“I know that healers only come from the bloodline of Luverne. How did a healer come from Agamemnon’s side?”
Laura said looking at Zeke.
“Agamemnon is a collateral bloodline of Luverne. When the Church pushed Luverne away from the throne the scattered bloodlines were absorbed by the House of Agamemnon. It’s a fact I only recently learned.”
As Zeke had thought Agamemnon was a descendant of the Luverne lineage.
“Aside from Agamemnon are there any other families that have inherited the bloodline of Luverne?”
Laura shook her head and said.
“At that time the bloodlines of Luverne were scattered so it can be said that there was no place that was bound together by a family unit like Agamemnon. However if there was an ancestor with the bloodline of Luverne they could be born with the talent of a healer. The Dawn Society is looking for such bloodlines of Luverne.”
Zeke nodded at Laura’s words.
‘Most of the children of Luverne have the talent of a healer that manifested through ancestral regression.’
This time Laura asked Zeke a question.
“But what is your name?”
Zig who had been thinking about it said a pseudonym.
“Kaida.”
It was a hastily created pseudonym taken from the name of his master Caesar.
“Kai Lubern.”
Zeke who was walking along the light asked Laura the question he was most curious about.
“Do you know Arthur Draker?”
Then Laura looked at Zeke and said.
“Why are you suddenly bringing up that guy?”
Zeke paused in bewilderment as he unexpectedly sensed an enormous hostility towards Arthur Draker from Laura before answering.
“…I was just asking. It seems like you and Arthur Draker aren’t on good terms.”
Laura clenched her fists and gritted her teeth.
“Those damn Draker bastards. They were the ones who were able to expand their power thanks to our family but when our family started having difficulties they were immediately abandoned as trash.”
Zeke was rather puzzled by Laura’s explicit expressions about Drake.
‘If you hate me so much why did you marry Arthur Draker and have me?’
Rufus Agamemnon the head of Agamemnon’s household was said to have opposed Laura’s marriage to Arthur Drake.
Nevertheless Laura went against Rufus’ wishes and married the head of the Draker family who was practically the enemy of the family.
Moreover Arthur Draker showed no concern for helping or cursing the House of Agamemnon even after marrying Laura.
At that moment Laura opened her mouth again while she was lost in thought.
“If it weren’t for Ramon I would never have partyed with a guy like Arthur.”
Zeke was surprised by Laura’s words.
‘Ramon? Are you talking about Ramon Siemens the head of Siemens?’
Laura seemed unaware that the Abyss was connected to Siemens.
Zeke had to clench his teeth and keep his mouth shut because telling Laura now could have negative consequences for his karma.
He finally calmed down and asked Laura.
“…If it’s Ramon is it the Siemens family?”
Laura nodded.
“Yeah he’s a million times better than Arthur Draker.”
Rather it was Laura who had a greater fondness for Ramon.
“If it’s a party then maybe the three of you went on a dungeon exploration together.”
“To be exact there are four of us including Rex Turn. Yes we used to search dungeons together before we met Sir Fab and joined the Dawn Society.”
“Interesting. Draker and Siemens Turn went into the dungeon with Agamemnon. What were they looking for?”
Laura looked at Zeke for a moment then said
“Well I guess it doesn’t matter if you say something since you’re looking for the legacy of the King of Heroes.”
She continued.
“We were trying to find the relics of the Elder Dragon.”
For a moment Zeke’s eyes widened.
‘The Elder Dragon’s relic. Arthur Draker has been trying to find it since then.’
Then Laura continued speaking.
“That’s exactly what Ramon wanted to find. I joined the party because I wanted to lift the family curse with it.”
“Ramon Siemens has the Elder Dragon’s relic?”
Laura frowned at Zeke’s words and asked.
“That’s strange. You’re the first person I’ve ever met who didn’t ask what the Elder Dragon was when I brought it up Kai Luvern. It’s almost as if you know something about the Elder Dragon’s relics.”
Zeke also discovered that his mother was quite perceptive.
“…I don’t know much. It’s just something I picked up while chasing the legacy of the King of Heroes.”
Laura nodded at his answer.
“That may be true. But how did you come to find the legacy of the King of Heroes?”
Laura’s speech had become much softer since we first met.
Zik thought about it for a while and then answered.
“I heard that somewhere in the Giant Mountains there is a place where the legacy of the King of Heroes sleeps. It is said that the swordsmanship of the King of Heroes is there.”
Laura looked interested at Zeke’s words.
“The swordsmanship of the King of Heroes. If Arthur Draker heard it he would be so amazed that he would run off.”
“It seems Arthur Draker is interested in swordsmanship.”
“Well that’s true. He’s just a guy who cares about becoming stronger than others.”
That was when.
The halo of light following the cave suddenly picked up speed and flew forward.
Zeke and Laura ran after the light.
The place where the halo of light stopped and circled was blocked by a large rock.
Laura tilted her head as she watched the halo of light swirling around the rock.
“What? The message clearly said to follow the light.”
Zeke felt something strange about Laura’s words.
“If it’s a message does it refer to the prophecy of Kronos?”
Laura nodded.
“Prophecy? I don’t know much about that but sometimes it flies in. Words appear in front of my eyes. Just today I got a message telling me to come here out of the blue so I came here in a hurry.”
Zeke realized that the system window was being applied to Laura as well although only to a small extent.
‘Can the system window be applied even without using the power of the dragon? Maybe it’s the power of the clock.’
Laura took out her watch and tried to turn the crown back and forth but there was no response.
As Zik watched this something suddenly occurred to him.
‘no way?’
Zeke took out the watch he had and breathed mana into it.
Woohoo!
Zeke’s watch reacted causing a halo of light to vibrate and spread out to the sides.
At the same time a portal of white light appeared where the rock had been.
Laura looked at the portal in surprise.
“What is that?”
A message appeared before Zeke’s eyes.
[The entrance to the Temple of Kronos is open.]
It was the entrance to the temple of Kronos that he was looking for.
Zeke looked at the face of Laura Agamemnon next to him.
I wanted to hug her just once but I felt like Laura would stab me again if I did so without revealing my identity.
Zeke suppressed his wavering heart and reached out his hand to Laura.
“Laura Agamemnon. Thank you very much. Thanks to you I was able to find the entrance.”
Laura tilted her head then reached out and took Zeke’s hand.
Zeek who was holding Laura’s hand felt his heart flutter violently at the warmth of his mother that he was feeling for the first time.
He tried to release the hand he was holding and turned around.
Zeke took one last look at Laura Agamemnon and slowly entered the portal.
Woohoo!
As Zeke entered the portal closed with a glow.
Laura muttered looking at the portal through which she had disappeared.
“Kai Luverne… He is the one who was sent to the temple by Kronos himself. What on earth is his true identity?”
Laura thought deeply about the message Kronos had sent.
‘A person with black eyes will appear in the midnight museum.’
There was no mention of who he was or why he appeared.
Most of the messages Kronos sent her were like that.
Then someone appeared behind Laura.
It was a man in black wearing a mask.
Laura said as she approached the man in black.
“What? I said it was okay so why did you follow me?”
The man in black slowly took off his mask.
A woman with red hair pale skin and the mysterious jewel-like eyes typical of vampires.
She said looking at Laura.
“I couldn’t let the young lady go alone. What did that suspicious person say?”
Then Laura shook her head.
“He wasn’t suspicious. He was just a little strange.”
Laura looked at the cave where Zeke had disappeared then turned her head and spoke to the vampire woman.
“Let’s go back Carmilla.”
* * *
Woohoo!
Zeke emerged from the portal with a bright light.
Looking around it seemed like I was at the top of a tower with windows on all sides.
‘Where is this?’
As he tried to look around properly again Zeke’s head started to throbbed and he felt dizzy.
“Ugh.”
Unlike when he had moved to other portals Zig felt severe motion sickness and frowned as he staggered.
At that moment someone approached Zeke.
“Are you a little dizzy? That’s because you’ve crossed the timeline.”
Zeke held his head and looked ahead.
And at that moment he couldn’t help but be surprised.
“Master Kaisir?”
