    Episode 283

    ‘Experiment to create immortals?’

Most of Harvey West’s experiments involved physical enhancements such as reanimation resurrection and human modification.

‘Was Mad Harvey’s goal to create immortals?’

Zeke tried to access Harvey West’s experimental data but as with Richmond his access was restricted and he could not view it.

“Damn… Now that I think about it if I found all three relics I could have received the title of Lord Hoshgar.”

If you find all three relics you can obtain the title of Archmage’s Protection as a reward for the linked quest.

Obtaining that title might grant you administrator rights to the Infinite Tower.

‘I guess I need to find out more about Harvey West.’

The next day Zeke left the Nirvar central branch and resumed his movement for the next plan.

Before seeking out the Druids of Aten he went to the Temple of Kronos to activate his mother’s clock.

Zeke went to the temple location marked on the map to renew the authentication key.

The coordinates on the map pointed to a place in downtown Aten.

When I went to the coordinates surprisingly there was a museum there.

‘There’s a temple of Kronos in the museum?’

Come to think of it there was a dragon slayer’s resting place under the academy library and there was an authentication key for the secure vault in the Valhalla library so it wasn’t strange that it was in the museum.

    Zeke slowly entered the museum.

Aten is a city located on the eastern peninsula of the Northern Continent and has long been recognized as an autonomous principality since before the Holy Empire.

That is why Aten itself had a very long history and its citizens also had great pride in it.

The museum was built to provide a glimpse into Aten’s long history.

Zeke wandered around the museum trying to find the way to the Temple of Kronos.

‘I thought I could access the system but I can’t seem to catch anything.’

I went from the upper floor to the lower floor the basement and even the restaurant and souvenir shop next door but there was no response.

Because of that I was stuck in the museum all day and couldn’t find the entrance to the temple.

Even when it was finally closing time there was still no result.

“I thought I could find the authentication key quickly but I got stuck here.”

I double-checked to see if the coordinates were entered incorrectly but they were clearly pointing to this museum.

Zeke took out his watch in frustration.

The clock just stood there without any response.

‘I wonder what will happen if I run this.’

Zeke sat in the corner of the museum lobby dripping a few drops of blood as if he had first started the clock.

At that moment a security guard approached Zeke.

“It’s closing time! Visitors please go outside!”

Zig got up from his seat thinking that he would have to come back again tomorrow.

But then a message appeared before my eyes.

    [Check designated coordinates]

    [Temporary operation begins]

[Move to a given space-time coordinate]

Zeke looked around in surprise and saw the guard approaching him frozen stiffly.

He approached and gave the guard a squeeze.

It was hard as if I had touched a stone statue.

    “Has time stopped?”

At that moment a light flashed from the watch Zeke was holding.

At the same time the clock hands began to turn back.

    ‘what?’

    Woohoo!

The clock hands began to turn faster and soon Zig’s surroundings began to move.

But instead of the usual movement everything seemed to flow in reverse.

Only Ziggy was still the same and the time around him was rapidly reversing.

    “oh my god….”

Zeke vaguely thought that Kronos’ power might be related to ‘prophecy’.

But the power contained in the watch was to manipulate time itself.

Time quickly went back and the museum where Zeke had been standing had returned to its appearance before it even opened.

The clock hands that were turning backwards gradually slowed down and soon stopped.

    Bam!

A drop of water fell from the ceiling in front of Zig.

He stared blankly for a moment at the completely changed scenery around him.

‘Could this also be a 3D image?’

Zeke looked around with his eyes wide open. Surprisingly the place where Zeke was standing was not a stereoscopic image but real reality.

It was decades ago before the museum opened.

Zeke left the museum with a look of disbelief on his face.

Looking outside I saw a view of downtown Athens from several decades ago.

“You’re going back in time crazy. What kind of ability is this…?”

A surprised Zeke tried to walk towards the city but he couldn’t go any further as if his path was blocked.

[You cannot go beyond the permitted timeline area range.]

[If you forcibly cross the timeline’s realm range your existence may be extinguished due to the limitations of karma.]

As it is a power that manipulates time it seems to have limitations.

“If I go beyond this range I might be destroyed. Well if I were to wander around the continent of the current time zone and talk about the future the flow of time would get messed up.”

It seemed that karma acted as a safety device to prevent such things from happening.

Zeke felt once again the scale of Karma’s power that governed even the timeline and thought back to the golden city of Blanca that had held Hades captive.

‘This means that the ancient civilizations used this karma freely. At this point I’m more curious about what they couldn’t do rather than what they could do.’

It was also questionable why such an ancient civilization that used the power of karma suddenly disappeared.

The Bible says that the Creator God severely punished humans for being so corrupt and destroyed their cities.

Since it was a bible made by a religious order during the Holy Empire era it was not known how much of it was true but Zig who knew various stories that the world did not know could only guess that it might have something to do with the constellations.

‘If you’re Arina a descendant of Luverne you might know something. I’ll have to ask you next time I see you.’

Zeke went back into the museum turned on the coordinates and looked for the entrance to the temple.

If the clock had taken him back in time he would have thought that the temple would be in this time zone not the one Zeke was in.

But as expected the system could not find the entrance to the temple of Kronos.

‘What the hell is going on?’

While Zeke was thinking he felt a presence behind him.

He hid himself in hiding and looked to see who had appeared.

As Zeke disappeared a black figure with his face hidden by a robe slowly emerged into the museum lobby.

‘She seems to be a woman. Is she a wizard?’

At least he didn’t look like the person who built this museum.

As Zeke was watching the suspicious figure appear in the museum that had not yet opened at this time something suddenly flew next to Zeke.

    Papak!

An arrow struck the pillar next to where Zeke was hiding.

He stepped back and rolled over.

    ‘Did you notice my hiding?’

Only the Eye of the Abyss could see through Zig’s hiding place.

Perhaps these were the wizards of the past Abyss so Zeke drew his dagger and moved quickly.

    Phew!

First I planned to catch the female wizards standing there and interrogate them to find out their identities.

As Zeke was about to approach the female wizard the empty space suddenly began to shake and a black shadow appeared.

A man in black mask swung his sword at Zeke.

    Kkwaduk!

A deformed sword shorter than the Arming Sword clashed with Zeke’s dagger.

    Phew!

Zeke stepped back and threw a dagger at the man in black.

    Pachin!

The man in black suddenly picked up a sword in his other hand and struck down Zeke’s dagger.

The man in black holding a pair of swords took a stance and looked out for Zig.

‘He doesn’t seem like an ordinary guy. Judging from his movements… he seems to be from the Northern Rangers.’

Zeke took up a stance holding Annexy’s dagger in both hands.

In an instant the man in black threw the twin swords he was holding into the air then turned his body around and threw a dark weapon at Zig.

Zeke swung his dagger knocking away the man in black’s dark aura and slid forward.

When he saw the black man trying to protect the female wizard he planned to catch her first.

However the man in black immediately lifted him into the air grabbed his twin swords again and with nimble movements turned around in the air and rushed towards Zeke.

The black man’s sword swung down towards Zeke drawing a sharp line.

    Boom!

Zeke struck the black man’s sword with his dagger then pulled out the soul chain and hurled it at the man’s body.

    Whirlyrick!

The chain of souls flew like a snake to wrap itself around the man in black.

Then just like before the area around the black-clad man’s body began to ripple and he soon disappeared from his spot and appeared behind Zeke.

    Whee!

Zig took the black-clad man’s sword with his back.

    Kagan!

Zig raised his dragon scales and deflected the sword with his strong dragon skin.

As the confused black-clad man stepped back he took advantage of the gap and activated his dragon claws.

    Choaack!

The dragon’s claw passed through the black-clad man’s chest.

The man in black stepped back bleeding.

    That was when.

    Woohoo!

The female magician who had been watching the confrontation between Zeke and the man in black from behind created magic.

A white light rose from the female wizard’s body.

    ‘Is it a flash magic?’

But just as Zeke was about to turn to the side to avoid the magic the female magician reached out and hurled light at the man in black.

    ‘uh?’

Zeke was taken aback when he saw his colleague being cast into the light.

However the man in black who was hit by the light of the female wizard recovered and got up in perfect condition.

    Zeke was embarrassed.

    ‘Is that healing?’

It seemed like a type of healing magic from Luverne’s light but the effects were several times greater than normal healing.

‘You use light magic. Are you a member of the Lubern clan?’

The female sorceress muttered extending her hand toward the bewildered Zeke.

    “Debuff.”

Zeke felt his body grow heavy.

I remembered feeling something similar before that moment.

It was the feeling when skills were limited in the overturned tower.

‘Infinite stamina released. Healing factor as well.’

Zeke dodged the attack of the black man who was rushing towards him did a somersault and fell back.

The female wizard was taken aback when he dodged the attack with normal movements.

“It’s clearly been debuffed but why is the movement the same?”

As she nodded somewhere another arrow flew towards Zeke.

    Shush!

Zig swung Annexi’s dagger and knocked away the arrow.

It was an organized movement that fit together well.

‘I’m going to try it but I’m going to get hurt.’

Zeke put Annexi’s dagger away and pulled out Bahamut.

When he took up his sword the air around him changed.

The female wizard also cast her spell nervously.

Then the black-clad body flashed with light.

“Don’t kill him. You have to catch him.”

The man in black nodded and approached Zigg with his twin swords in hand.

I was in a situation where my senses and stamina recovery were higher than before because I had received a buff.

However when he stood in front of Zeke who was holding a sword his body froze.

Zeke took a step forward holding his sword.

    thud!

Feeling threatened by that one step the man in black took a step back.

The face of the man in black behind the mask was covered in cold sweat.

Zeke raised his sword and aimed it at him.

An invisible intangible energy enveloped not only the man in black but also the female magician behind him and the archer hidden behind him.

There was no way to escape once I was within the realm of the Astral Sword that Zeke had unleashed.

The man in black shook his sword-holding hand slightly and spoke to the female magician behind him.

“Miss please dodge while I block.”

It was a voice that seemed prepared for death.

Then the female sorceress shouted at the man in black.

    “Stop talking nonsense!”

Zeke spoke to the man in black and the woman.

    “Don’t rebel unnecessarily.”

The man in black became even more nervous at Zeke’s words. He spoke to the female magician behind him.

“Take off your hood and show me your face.”

Then the female sorceress gritted her teeth and muttered.

“As expected… That guy is a guy sent from the abyss.”

The female wizard had rather mistaken Zeke for the Abyss.

Then Zeke reached out and unfurled the Holy Flame.

    Whoosh! Whoosh!

The female wizard was surprised when the Holy Fire technique the highest level technique among light magic appeared.

    “What is that…?”

Zeke spoke to the female sorceress.

“I am not Narak. I have revealed my identity so you should show your face as well.”

The female wizard who had checked the Holy Fire hesitated and then slowly took off her robe.

When Zig saw her face he thought his heart had stopped for a moment.

    ‘That person….’

The female sorceress looked at Zeke and said.

“My name is Laura Agamemnon. I am the Eastern Branch Leader of the Dawn Order.”
