    Episode 254

“Lord Hades I think I need to leave for a moment.”

Zeke spoke to Hades who was floating in the air in the garden and basking in the sunlight.

Hades just turned his head and spoke to Zeke.

“You’re leaving? Then tell me your wish quickly and go. I’ll go take care of something too.”

Zeke asked back at Hades’ answer.

“Are you going to go find other dragons?”

While staying at Ishtar’s main palace Zeke told Hades that he might be the only dragon alive.

    Hades laughed at Zeke’s words.

He said that most of them either dug deep into caves and slept there or moved to the Eastern Continent.

It was highly likely that he chose to hibernate or fled to another continent to avoid the demons who were trying to take over the dragon’s body.

Hades shook his head when Zeke asked if he would go find the other dragons.

“Dragons are different from humans. Even if I am the only dragon in existence in the world what does that matter? That too is the choice of other dragons.”

“So where are you planning to go?”

“There’s nothing set in stone. Haven’t you heard of dragons’ games? They wander around to see if there’s anything fun to do and when they find a place they like they settle down there and play for about a hundred years. When they get tired of it they move somewhere else and when they get tired of it again they sleep for hundreds of years. That’s the typical life of dragons. They’ve lost a lot by making contracts with humans.”

Despite their great power dragons’ lives were more dull than expected.

As he was born with great power he was greatly restricted by karma so from the beginning there wasn’t much he could do in the phenomenal world.

Zeke said as he looked at Hades like that.

“You have nothing to do anyway so why don’t you spend some time here doing some research on the drive system? I’ll prepare everything you need.”

“This guy wants to use my high-level power for free.”

“How about if I give you Orichalcum in return? Enough to create a guardian that Lord Hades would like?”

“What? That’s a lot of orichalcum?”

“I don’t have any right now but I think I can make one.”

Hades looked at Zeke’s words with a suspicious look.

Then Zeke took out Agamemnon’s mask and showed it to him.

    “What is this?”

“This is a holy relic that contains the power of the wise man you spoke of.”

Hades was taken aback by Zeke’s words.

    “Why do you have this?”

“I received it as a sacred water that was passed down through the Agamemnon family. The power of the sacred relic is currently sealed but if you find the lake of fairies you will be able to regain its power.”

    “Hmm.”

Hades listened to Zeke’s words thought for a moment and then nodded.

“Okay good. He definitely said he would give me enough orichalcum to create a guardian.”

“Yes but that would require a lot of help from Hades.”

“As expected humans are incredibly cunning. Hey give me a room to make a workshop.”

“I will prepare the best room in the castle for you.”

Hades’ mere presence in Agamemnon’s castle was a great boon to Zeke.

After obtaining satisfactory results he ordered Hades and Yellin to stay at Agamemnon Castle and then summoned Bucephalus.

    Heeeeeeling!

Bucephalus who had been summoned after a long time cried happily at the sight of Zeke.

Bucephalus the Dragon King felt a greater affinity towards Zeke whose dragon power had become even stronger.

Hades approached him as if he was curious when he saw Bucephalus the young man.

“Wow Dragon Demon King! You bring a precious spirit with you.”

    Zeke said stroking Bucephalus’ mane.

“It would be nice if we could go together but as you said he is a precious spirit and his appearance is different from that of a normal horse so it is a shame that I cannot call him often.”

    “okay?”

Hades looked at Bucephalus for a moment then waved his hand.

    Woohoo!

Bucephalus’ body was enveloped in light and he changed from a dragon horse to a blue-black horse.

    Zeke asked Hades in surprise.

    “Is it magic?”

“I just used Youngsu’s power to change my appearance. Now Yongma himself can do it so ask him when you need it.”

Perhaps because he was a dragon he certainly had many amazing talents.

Zeke felt rewarded for his efforts in freeing Hades from his bonds.

He rode on the back of Bucephalus who had the form of a famous horse.

“Bucephalus we can hang out together more often now.”

    Heeeeeeling!

Bucephalus also seemed to be in a good mood so he raised his forelegs and cried loudly.

He gave a brief greeting to Hades and left Mycenae for the examination of the advanced knighthood.

Zeke drove Bucephalus to Canus the city where the Waldeck family’s home was located.

Canus was located north of Atlas and was not one of the five major cities of Midland but it played a strategically important role within the Draker family.

Because Canus was the largest weapons production site in the entire Central Continent.

The three great bloodlines of the Drakers are represented as the Turn of Power the Siemens of Knowledge and the Waldeck of Gold.

At this time the gold of Waldeck meant the metal used in making weapons.

The idea is to bring iron from the mines of the Northern Continent to Canus turn it into weapons and then deliver it to the Draker family.

As the Draker family has influence over the entire Central Continent the number of troops stationed throughout the continent is considerable.

It could be said that half of the weapons used by those troops were made by the Waldeck family.

The Waldeck family was originally a blacksmith family that made weapons but during the Holy Empire they earned a title for their achievements and became a knight family.

Even though they were a knightly family they never forgot their family traditions and still placed importance on the art of making weapons.

In addition the Waldeck family owned mines in the north and the iron produced there was of excellent quality so Waldeck weapons had a reputation for being sturdy since the days of the Holy Empire.

Also the Waldeck family of today is working together with Siemens and the alchemists Mattap to develop new weapons.

Although not as good as the transcendent family Nirvana they made a lot of money and accumulated wealth by manufacturing and exporting cost-effective magic weapons.

It was not for nothing that it was said that the Waldeck family not the Graham Bank held the largest amount of cash reserves on the continent.

It was quite a distance to Canus where the Waldeck family was located but Bucephalus was so fast that Sieg reached the walls of Canus in two days.

Since the Waldeck family was also an ally of Siemens it seemed that moving directly by land would be more effective than exposing the route through a portal so they moved to Bucephalus.

Beyond the walls of Canus thick smoke could be seen rising here and there.

Dozens of weapons workshops installed inside the canoe were operating without rest and with great fervor.

Zeke drove Bucephalus to the gates of Canus’ castle.

As it was a city with a developed weapons manufacturing industry there was a long line of military merchants who had come from all over the continent to buy weapons and equipment waiting to pass through the gate.

Since the product being handled was a weapon security was also strict.

I could feel fully armed soldiers standing guard everywhere and knights and magicians belonging to the Waldeck family were also stationed everywhere even in places that could not be seen.

A soldier approached Zig as he rode his horse toward the gate.

“You can’t ride a horse from here on out so get off.”

At the soldier’s words Zig got off his horse obediently.

Then he said to the soldier.

“I have something to tell the master so please take me to my home.”

The soldier laughed at those words.

“The lord is not someone you can meet carelessly. It would be best to stand in line quietly and receive a pass without talking nonsense.”

Now nineteen years old Zeke looked to the outside like a rookie knight who had just graduated from knight school.

It was impossible to identify Zeke since he wasn’t wearing his Drake uniform.

After thinking about it for a while he showed his dragon sword to the soldier.

The soldier who saw the dragon sword proving that he was an official knight of Drake was startled and gasped.

    “Are you Sir Zeke Draker?”

There was only one Drake knight who was not even of age.

The knight of the sea Zeke Draker.

The youngest Blue Knight to be promoted and the knight who broke the curse of the Ghost Mansion that no one could do anything about for a thousand years.

Only then did the soldier recognize Zeke’s face and salute him.

“Your Majesty! It is an honor to meet you! Please come this way.”

It was a soldier guiding Zeke with a completely different attitude than before.

After revealing my identity I was able to pass through the gate without any problems.

As soon as they passed through the gate a special carriage came and took Zig and went straight to the main house of the Waldeck family.

With his reputation as a knight of the sea Zigg was no longer the neglected ignorant brat of the past.

He was a man with a truly remarkable record having been supported by the Agamemnon and Graham two powerful families in the central region and having even been granted a fief in Troy at a young age.

Although his reputation has been somewhat overshadowed by Abel’s recent promotion to Black Knight the things Zeke has accomplished in his name are still enormous.

The carriage crossed the city and stopped at the main building located on the highest point to the north.

The Waldeck family who had already received news of Zeke’s visit came out and waited for him.

And when Zeke got out of the carriage he was surprised to see a familiar face.

    “Jaken.”

His cousin and cradle-mate Jacken Waldeck stood in full uniform and at full height.

Jacken bowed his head to Zeke and greeted him politely.

“Greetings to His Majesty the King.”

Jaken had previously trapped Zeke and Liam during the Academy’s exams.

Zeke looked at Jaken with a calm gaze who was showing a completely different attitude than during his academy days.

And then he immediately realized Jaken’s skills.

‘I haven’t gotten over the Purple Knight’s wall yet.’

In fact for people of the same age as Zeke this level of achievement would be enough to be called a genius.

Rayna and Liam who had already surpassed the Purple Knight were in the realm of genius and were one of the few talented people even within Draker.

Zeke approached Jaken and tapped him on the shoulder.

    “It’s been a while.”

“Oh it’s been a while Sir Zeke!”

Jaken was very nervous worried that Zeke might have harbored a grudge because of something that happened before.

But Zeke had already lost sight of anyone like Jaken.

“I came to see the master. Could you please show me around?”

Jacken answered Zeke’s words with a cold sweat.

“The lord has gone hunting now.”

“Really? Then I guess you can guide me there.”

Jaken who tried to escape from Zeke somehow was caught without being able to move and had no choice but to guide him to the hunting grounds where the lord was.

“I will guide you. Come this way.”

To go up to the hunting grounds Jaken brought a horse and Zeke climbed on top of Bucephalus.

The huge forest located within the territory of the Baldeck family was like a hunting ground exclusively for the head of the family.

Since Canus was a territory close to the north winter had already come here and the forest was covered in snow.

Zeke asked him as he rode alongside Jaken.

“Are you still attending the academy?”

Jacken’s face turned red at Zeke’s words and he barely managed to answer.

    “…I’m graduating this year.”

This was because Zeke had already graduated from Valhalla and become a full-fledged Draker knight and was even given the nickname of Knight of the Sea so he felt ashamed of his situation of not even graduating from the academy.

Zeke’s question which he had asked without much thought flew at Jaken like a dagger.

‘I will repay today’s humiliation someday.’

Jaken was burning with a useless desire for revenge not thinking about the things he did to Zeke during his time at the cradle and academy.

    That was when.

    bang!

A gunshot rang out from inside the forest.

    Jacken said looking at Zeke.

“I heard gunshots so it looks like the lord is over there.”

Jaken was the first to lead his horse and run towards the sound of gunfire.

Zeke’s expression as he followed him was stiff unlike before.

‘Why does the head of the Waldeck family have a magic gun?’

In my previous life the magic gun first appeared in the world during the Continental War with the appearance of the Night Killer.

But in this life the appearance of the magic gun has become even faster.

Because of Zeke’s return things in the future were changing little by little.

He followed Jaken with a question in his mind.
