A Dragonslayer’s Peerless Regression – 219
by Hectopascal(헥토파스칼 )
Episode 219
Zeke also spotted black-armored minions behind the hounds emitting an ominous aura.
The experiment was showing some results as the movements of the mines seemed much more stable than before.
One of the hounds approached Bastian.
“Hey pirate. Come here and do your job.”
Bastian spat out the lizard head he was chewing at the hound’s insulting remark.
As the other pirates next to him tried to get up he raised his hand to stop them and slowly approached the hound.
“What’s going on?”
The hound threw something at Bastian.
It was a wooden barrel with information sealed in it.
The hound laughed at Bastian.
“You dirty pirate bastards. Do as it says. Then I might give you a chance to rub your wretched bodies against the Empire.”
The other hounds burst into laughter at the hound’s words.
Bastian slowly bent down and picked up the barrel.
Then the can was turned in the set order. Then the can opened and a piece of paper with a code came out.
Bastian quickly read what was written on the paper and swallowed it.
The hound spoke to Bastian.
“You stinky pirate bastards. If you’re unlucky you might even catch a Southern flea.”
The other hounds burst into laughter at those words.
Bastian who had been listening to the insults silently scratched his head turned around and hurled the wooden barrel he was holding at the hunting dogs.
The hound unknowingly caught the wooden barrel thrown by Bastian.
That was when.
Shhh!
A colorful poisonous snake jumped out from inside the barrel.
“crazy!”
The hunting dog quickly struck the viper and retreated. The viper looked at the retreating dog as if it had been poisoned and raised its head stiffly.

Then Bastian who had been watching this pulled out the long sharp sword he was carrying and stabbed the viper in the head.
Kiik!
The viper stabbed by Bastian’s sword hung limp.
Bastian picked up the viper and thrust it at the hounds saying:
“Oh my why did this go in there? I put it there to eat as a snack. Are you scared?”
He looked at the other hounds behind him and shrugged his shoulders with a smug expression.
“Why? What else is there to say?”
The hounds glared at Bastian gnashed their teeth and then decided that there was no point in talking too much so they spat and turned back.
Bastian sneered at the sight of such hounds.
Then he spoke to his colleagues in a rough southern dialect.
“Those Central Continent bastards. Anyway they seem like they’re crazy because they want to die.”
At those words the other pirates burst into laughter. Most of them were pirates belonging to the favela cartel.
Zeke stuck out his tongue as he watched Bastian swinging his venomous hunting dogs.
‘Your temper is the same now as it was in your past life.’
Don Juan was of course the most ill-tempered man in the Southern Continent but Bastian was equally eccentric and short-tempered.
Moreover unlike Don Juan who led the cartel with organizational management and tactics Bastian had a reputation as a fighter.
Although his identity was hidden he was a rough pirate from the South Seas and was also famous as a named outlaw.
‘It was more difficult than the Blue Knight.’
After all Bastian was one of the cartel bosses that Zeke failed to kill through assassination in his previous life.
While Zeke was recalling the events of his past life Bastian led his men and scurried into the forest.
It was clear that Bastian was in sync with his hounds even if it was unclear who was in command.
‘Did Abel give the order? I doubt that cautious guy would have come here himself….’
Zeke chased the Bastian group from further away with the Ghost Soldiers ahead of him.
Then the Bastian group stopped as if they had discovered something.
“Found it. Get ready.”
At Bastian’s words the pirates drew their weapons.
Zeke sent his Ghost Soldiers ahead to check and saw the camp of the Silver Knights at the spot where Bastian was planning to attack.
‘Is Sister Carly over there?’
Bastian and the pirates drew their weapons and watched for their opportunity.
The knights at the camp were already exhausted and there were many wounded.
When Bastian signaled to the pirates they went down stealthily.
‘In a situation like that even the Silver Knights would have a hard time dealing with them.’
Pirates and cartel members were accustomed to these rough-and-tumble situations and close combat.
Zeke quickly ran to where the campsite was.
Then Bastian threw a magic bomb towards the camp.
Kwakwakwakwang!
The sound of a bomb exploding shook the entire forest.

The white knights surprised by the magic bomb quickly got up.
“Enemy attack! Everyone spread out!”
Each and every one of the knights of the Silver Knights were capable of fighting a hundred men.
The judgment might have been that it would be better to move independently and demonstrate one’s abilities rather than gathering together and fighting clumsily.
But in the current situation that judgment is wrong.
‘It doesn’t matter when there are troops supporting us from behind but in a situation like this where we are on the defensive it is much more disadvantageous.’
Besides Zeke had something else to worry about.
Ss …
Zeke’s ominous premonition was not wrong.
Giant spiders began to swarm at the sound of the magic bomb.
Krrrrrr!
The knights calmly aimed their swords panicking at the sudden surge of spider monsters.
“Haat!”
As expected of the Silver Knights each and every one of them had excellent skills.
By stabbing the sword through the thick armor or cutting the legs the spider’s mobility was reduced.
But on the battlefield victory or defeat is not determined solely by swordsmanship skills.
While the knights were fighting the spider monsters the pirates who had been hiding attacked from behind.
Whirlyrick!
The pirates threw their hatchets at the knights’ backs.
Papak!
The moment the knights who had read the attack turned their backs to strike back with their axes the spiders took advantage of the gap and spewed out their webs.
Originally they were the ones who shot at fleeing prey or as a last resort shot webs. However after facing off against knights several times the giant spiders have learned how to deal with them.
Clang!
“Ugh!”
The sticky spider webs clung to my armor making it difficult to move my hands and feet.
Krrrr!
The spiders spewed stronger webs at the knights entangled in their webs.
The knights struggled and were caught in a web that had hardened so tightly that they could not move.
The spiders retreated with the knights they had made in their mouths.
The Silver Knights were unable to come to their senses due to the spider attacks and pirate raids.
“Get out of here! We have to get out of here!”
When the order to retreat was given the Silver Knights retreated in unison.
The problem was the casualties.
Those who were caught in spider webs or attacked by pirates were unable to retreat.
One of the knights shouted.
“You go first! I’ll stop you!”
He shouted that he would sacrifice himself for his fellow comrades.
The other knights of the Silver Knights clenched their teeth and fled carrying the other injured knights with them.
The last remaining knight raised an aura and stopped the spiders and attackers.
“Haaaah!”
A sharp aura blade shot out from the knight’s sword as if trying to ignite the last spark of life.
The knight’s sword moved in the manner of the dragon’s sword. The sword cut down not only the rushing spider but also the pirate’s body behind it all at once.
Thud thud!
The spider’s body and the pirate’s body were completely shattered by the destructive power of the Auror Blade.
“Gasp gasp.”
The knight completely drained of strength barely managed to keep his body up panting for breath.
Only then did Bastian appear from behind.
“Hey those Drakers. They really are poisonous.”
He pulled out a long sharp sword and twirled his wrist.
The knight charged at Bastian shouting.
“Chahaat!”
But Bastian skillfully dodged the knight’s sword and stabbed him straight in.
Phew!
“Ugh!”
As the knight stepped back blood gushed out from the place where he had been stabbed.
Bastian whistled and approached the injured knight.
“Let’s hurry up and take care of it and go catch those guys who ran away. We need to catch them and find out where that Kali bitch is.”
The pirates chuckled at Bastian’s words.
That was when.
Crunch-
The pirate’s head rolled off as he raised his axe to strike the neck of the immobile knight.
“What what?”
The pirates looked around in confusion.
I looked to see if there were any remaining articles but there were none.
Crunch-
Another pirate’s head fell off.
Bastian’s expression hardened.
Then he grabbed the scruff of the neck of one of the subordinates next to him and shoved him forward.
“Huh?”
Bam!
The neck of the luggage that fell was cut off.
“Fuck!”
Bastian rolled over and dodged to the side.
Whoosh!
A cool sensation passed across the back of his neck.
Bastian slowly got up.
“Are you a hitman? I don’t know where you’re from but you’re damn good.”
As soon as those words were spoken Zeke appeared in front of Bastian.
With the skill Stealth and the use of the Will of the Silver Spirit the pirates were unable to even sense his presence.
But Bastian alone seemed to have instinctively sensed Zeke’s murderous intent.
Zeke appeared holding Annexy’s dagger.
He tossed a potion from his bosom to the wounded knight.
“Drink that and go to your colleagues.”
The knight unaware of Zeke’s true identity took the potion bottle he had received and thought about it before downing it.
It was a top-quality potion that healed wounds quickly.
The knight didn’t hesitate got up straight away and flew into the forest.
Bastian saw the sight and shouted.
“What are you doing! Catch that kid!”
As Bastian’s men were hastily trying to chase after the knight ghost soldiers appeared from behind and blocked their way.
Zeke said to Bastian.
“Bastian of the Favela Cartel. Tell me why you are here and I will kill you at least as easily as Don Juan.”
Bastian’s eyes widened at Zeke’s words.
“Don Juan! It was you who killed that bloody old pig!”
He said glaring sharply at Zeke.
“I was wondering who took down McCain and the favela cartel at the same time and here I am.”
As Bastian nodded the pirates slowly approached Zeke.
Then Zeke said to Bastian.
“Don’t do useless things. If you save me time I’ll kill you with less pain.”
Bastian said to Zeke with a smirk.
“I know how good your skills are but a hitman shines the most when he’s assassinating. You should never have shown yourself before me.”
Then Bastian took something out of his bosom.
He aimed something like a long iron stick at Zig.
Zeke knew what Bastian was holding.
‘The magic gun… did you get it from those Siemens guys?’
It was a shorter version of the magic gun that Aeren the Night Killer had.
Bastian said to Zeke with a smirk.
“You have no idea what this is.”
Then Zeke sighed briefly and said.
“Did you think that would kill me?”
“Of course. It is a weapon faster than any magic or sword. If you have this conquering the continent is no longer a dream.”
Listening to Bastian’s absurd imagination Zeke took a step forward.
Then Bastian fired a magic gun at Zeke.
bang!
The bullet lodged itself under Zeke’s feet.
Immediately afterwards the round barrel attached to the magic gun began to rotate and the bullets were loaded again.
‘You can fire consecutive shots with a magic gun?’
The biggest reason why magic guns became the playthings of nobles in my previous life was because they took too long to load.
The heat generated when firing a bullet containing condensed magic was so strong that if it was not properly cooled the barrel would bend and the bullet would not fire properly which could lead to an explosion.
‘Did Siemens succeed in mass producing the magic gun? Then why didn’t they use it in the war in the previous life?’
While Zeke was questioning Bastian aimed his gun with a mean smile.
“Just die.”
bang!
The bullet flew towards Zeke.
puck!
Zeke suddenly pulled out the sword he had on his back and swung it splitting the bullet in half.
“What? How?”
Bastian saw Zeke cut the bullet with his sword and realized he was mistaken.
“He wasn’t a hitman… a knight?”
