A Dragonslayer’s Peerless Regression – 218
by Hectopascal(헥토파스칼 )
Episode 218
‘What is that?’
The corpses of countless spider monsters were spread out on the sandy beach.
Meanwhile Zeke and his group covered in spider fluid were grilling and eating jerky on top of spider skins placed on the remaining white flame embers.
“Wow it’s well cooked!”
“Ugh it’s been a while since I moved around so I feel like having a beer. Hey go to Felix’s boat and get me some alcohol.”
“Instructor there are many kids with less experience than me so why bother with me…?”
“Do you want to get hit and swim back or do you want to just swim back?”
Felix jumped up and jumped into the sea.
The knights of the Silver Knights gaped in amazement as they watched Felix swim through the rough waves to the boat.
“Those people…?”
For a moment Zigg turned his head slightly in embarrassment at the sight of his colleagues.
At that time Farrell who had been eating grilled beef jerky with them discovered Zeke and got up from his seat.
“My lord!”
Only then did the other comrades discover that Zeke had arrived and they quickly stuffed the jerky into their mouths and kicked the spider shell away with their feet.
Zeke shook his head at Farrell.
“I didn’t know that even Sir Farel would get wet.”
At those words Farrell turned his head away with an embarrassed expression.
Then the knight behind him opened his mouth in surprise.
“Pharel? Are you Sir Pharel Achilles?”
As a league champion Farrell was quite a celebrity among the knights.
The Knights of Baek who learned that Farrell was a member of the Order began to see Zeke’s companions again whom they had previously viewed as a group of eccentrics.
At that moment Felix who had been on the boat quickly came back with a cask of wine.
“Instructor! I brought it…! Oh my lord!”
It was Felix who was caught by Zeke carrying a barrel of alcohol from the enemy territory.
Felix immediately threw down the cask and told Zeke.

“Master! This isn’t mine it’s the instructor’s… Whew!”
Felix revealed the truth but was immediately punished with a punch from Clone.
Zeke cleared up the chaos and ordered the wounded to be moved to the boat.
Among the knights of the Silver Knights the one who seemed to be in the best condition decided to explain the situation to Zeke.
Zick placed a pot on the spot where he had been grilling meat boiled some soup and served it with some soft bread.
The knight seemed to finally regain his energy as the warm soup poured in.
“Thank you Sir Zeke. I owe you a great favor. I am sorry for the delay in introducing myself. My name is Runo Tilven Captain of the Third Company of the Silver Knights.”
After filling his stomach with soup and bread Runo described in detail what had happened.
“At first I only heard that it was a mission to eradicate pirates in the South Seas.”
“I thought so too. But when I went to the Sea of Death I couldn’t see the Silver Knights’ warships.”
“In fact for this mission we did not bring any warships but only selected the best of the knights and went out.”
Zig questioned Runo’s words.
“Only the elite are used to eliminate pirates…? Why is that? That’s not like Sister Kali’s decision.”
“That was… there was intelligence.”
“What kind of intelligence are you talking about?”
“Luno said lowering his voice.
“It was about the Pirate King.”
Zeke frowned at Runo’s words.
‘So it was Abel’s side that brought forward the plan after all.’
Kali Draker’s reputation was built on large-scale anti-piracy operations.
However if the Pirate King appeared and gathered the pirates causing chaos in the South Sea again her reputation would certainly be greatly tarnished.
Abel who was skilled at exploiting his enemy’s weaknesses and crises could not miss this opportunity.
It was clear that Carly wanted to catch the Pirate King as quickly as possible before Abel noticed this wipe out the pirates of the South Seas and turn the situation around.
‘Abel has clearly targeted Sister Kali’s weak point.’
Since the cards were taken out sooner than in the previous life it was not yet known what the outcome would be.
Zeke asked Runo again.
“Where did the intelligence you mentioned earlier come from?”
Runo made an awkward expression and thought about it for a while before slowly opening his mouth.
“This is important confidential information. Could you please pass it on to other people?”
As Zeke nodded his companions quickly retreated from their seats.
Only when the others had moved away did Runo start to speak.
“This is a confidential matter but I will tell you this considering that Sir Zeke Draker is an ally of yours.”
He hesitated for a while longer before opening his mouth.
“It was a spy report from the dark stage.”
“On the black stage?”
Zeke was surprised by the completely unexpected answer.
Runo continued.

“Do you know anything about the left wing of the black stage?”
Zeke shook his head.
No matter what the internal organizational structure of the Draker Dark Stage was unknown. It was an organization shrouded in secrecy and information management was so thorough that even the Syndicate had no room to dig into it.
Runo opened his mouth cautiously.
“The left wing of the Black Stage is in charge of information. One of the people in charge there contacted the captain directly and provided the information.”
‘Spy report from the dark stage.’
If it was information from the black stage it would have been enough to get Kali over it.
Then Runo told something even more surprising.
“I heard that the black stage agent who gave me the information was the third direct descendant.”
“The third direct line? No way…?”
Runo nodded.
The third sibling appears following Kali Abel and Helen.
Zeke tried to recall his memories of his third brother.
‘What was his name? Yes Bacchus. I think I saw him once in my previous life when I was very young before I was put into the cradle and I never saw him again.’
The reason why Zeke doesn’t remember Bacchus Draker properly is because he was never particularly well known as a knight.
Unlike Helen who became known as the Knight of Steel after Kali’s death or Abel who became infamous as the Knight of Slaughter there was no news about Bacchus.
‘If you enter the dark stage and abandon the Drake name and even your identity then that could be possible.’
The personal details of the Black Stage members were among Draker’s most confidential secrets.
Even if they are direct blood relatives once they become a member of the Black Stage they are treated the same as other members.
Zeke asked Runo.
“Even if that Dark Stage member is a direct descendant it’s surprising that Sister Kali took such a risk and made such a decision.”
“I am the same way… but anyway I think the captain thought his information was trustworthy.”
There seemed to be a bond between Carly and Bacchus that Zeke was unaware of.
‘I don’t quite remember which family Bacchus’s maternal lineage is. What if they are also connected to Siemens and Bacchus’ intelligence was intended to lure Kali into a trap?’
Abel’s side may have sent the disguised information to Bacchus and had it passed on to Kali but Bacchus himself may have been on Abel’s side.
In his previous life Abel was able to eliminate Kali with this trap and ascend to the position of head of the Draker family.
This trap was no different from Abel’s last resort which he had put his heart and soul into setting up.
If even Bacchus whom Kali trusted was put into a trap by putting him in the water it also meant that Abel’s forces were already ahead of Kali in places that were not visible.
‘Betrayal is only effective when it happens in a painful place. You can never let your guard down.’
Zig stood up from his seat having gathered his thoughts and decided to learn more about Bacchus.
He said looking at Runo.
“I don’t think you will but what you told me today do not tell anyone else. Do you understand Lord Runo?”
Runo nodded at Zeke’s chilling voice.
He also sent Runo to the ship to recover and led his companions to the cave where the shark dragons were.
The skeletons summoned by Richmond had already created a basic campsite.
Zig explained the plan to his comrades from base camp.
“Somewhere on this island there must be the Silver Knights and Sir Kali. We must find Sir Kali and protect him.”
Then Clone raised his hand and asked Zeke.
“But who are the enemies we’re facing here? Surely they’re not the monsters living on the island?”
“Zeke said shaking his head.
“Yes they are not monsters. Our enemies are… everyone on this island except for Kali Draker.”
At those words Farrell also raised his hand and asked a question.
“So you’re saying there are one or more troops stationed on this island?”
“Good question Sir Farel. The pirates who came to seek treasure the Imperial hounds Abel’s knights and the warlocks are basically all there.”
Felix’s face turned pale at Zeke’s words.
“My lord. Should I just guard this place? Someone has to be there to guard it…”
“Yes you must guard this place but that is not you Felix. The shark dragons will take care of protecting it so don’t worry about anything and just run around.”
“Ugh. Yes.”
The island was larger than we thought so we split into three groups and decided to explore it separately.
Clone and Felix Liam were in one group and Farrell and Diego Aster were in the other group.
“Explore the island by dividing it into sections. When you find enemies do not engage them but retreat and record their locations. If a battle breaks out shoot a signal flare.”
Zeke decided to send Clones’ group to the left along the coast Farrell’s group to the right and he himself would go through the forest in the middle.
Finding Kali as quickly as possible was key as there was no way of knowing what kind of trap Abel might have set.
The group dispersed to their respective areas.
Immediately afterwards Zeke took out Richmond who had been hiding in the shadows.
“Richmond you follow me.”
“I thought I was the one guarding this place didn’t I?”
“…Why are you guarding a camp where no one is? Shark Dragon and Gurav will take care of guarding this place so don’t say anything and just follow me.”
After summoning Gurav Zeke took Richmond into the forest.
The island of the Sea God was hidden from human eyes for a long time so it was home to many creatures that I had never seen before.
“Oh Master. Have you seen that lizard? Its body color keeps changing.”
Richmond was interested in all kinds of creatures not just monsters.
While searching for traces while hitting Richmond Zeke sensed something suspicious coming from ahead.
Zeke paused for a moment then summoned a ghost soldier and sent it out to scout.
Sharing a glance with the Ghost Soldier Zeke was able to examine a group of figures ahead.
But surprisingly there was someone there that Zeke had never expected.
A man with curly hair and a moustache and beard that cover his face.
‘Why is that Bastian here?’
Bastian was none other than the top boss of the favela cartel.
After Mateo the number two man in the Favela Cartel was killed by Zeke the boss Bastian disappeared completely.
In order to completely destroy the Favela Cartel Zeke tried to find Bastian but he moved so quickly that he could not even find the syndicate.
Although they were unable to kill Bastian they effectively destroyed the Favela Cartel’s infrastructure effectively dismantling the organization.
But what I didn’t know was that I would find Bastian the boss of the favela cartel here.
‘If Bastian is here the pirates who followed the Favela Cartel must have come with him.’
It seemed like one of Abel’s traps.
The Favela Cartel was a drug cartel formed by pirates from the South Seas who were brought down by Cali’s activities so they held a deep grudge against her.
If it were Abel he would have gone so far as to instigate Bastian to kill Kali.
‘We’ll know for sure if we catch him and interrogate him.’
Zeke summoned more ghost soldiers to look around.
It was necessary to determine how many more forces were on the island besides Bastian.
But then another group appeared towards Bastian’s group.
These were guys that Zeke knew well.
‘You fucking hounds.’
The imperial hunting dogs who never miss a place like this also made an appearance.
