A Dragonslayer’s Peerless Regression – 212
by Hectopascal(헥토파스칼 )
Episode 212
“If he is the king of the fallen constellations does that mean that warrior has become the ‘demon king’? The one who invaded Kronos?”
“The Demon King…..”
Tir thought for a moment and then opened his mouth.
“We couldn’t tell if the being we were fighting was the legendary fallen God Slayer or a separate entity. After all it was the great sage who sealed the Demon King.”
“Are you talking about the wise man who was the teacher of Siemens Apollyon who summoned the demons?”
“I guess you heard it from Shaton on the 99th floor.”
“Yes but I didn’t hear the whole story in detail.”
Tir put down the mug of beer he was holding and looked at the burning fireplace.
Then he slowly opened his mouth.
“Just like Shatton I also exist here as a spirit whose time is fixed not as a real body. After the war I agreed to build a tower to train warriors in case something unexpected happens.”
“Was it Kronos who suggested building this tower?”
“Yes. After the great event of the Demon Invasion while the King of Heroes was away Cronus was always anxious. He was worried that the balance of this phenomenal world that he and Caesar had created together would be broken.”
“Bahamut said that the balance was broken because there were too many humans.”
Tir looked slightly surprised at Zeke’s words.
“Have you ever seen Bahamut?”
Zeke shook his head slowly.
“I have not been able to encounter it directly so I have only encountered it through the records that remain.”
Tir nodded and said.
“I see. Bahamut must have thought that way because he hated humans so much. In fact to some extent what Bahamut said was true.”
Tir was silent for a moment then opened his mouth again.
“Bahamut insisted that Siemens Apollyon should be killed. However since Siemens had stolen the dragon’s heart and placed it in his body if he died his contracted dragon would also die. Shaton the king of Kronos decided not to kill Siemens but to imprison him in the underground labyrinth of the Clock Tower. However the cunning Siemens Apollyon eventually escaped the labyrinth and later joined hands with the Orcs to summon the Demons using forbidden magic.”
Zeke understood why Reyes had paid the price for ignoring Bahamut’s warning.
“That’s why Shatton Drake abdicated the throne and chased after Siemens.”
“Yes he was the one who raised Siemens together with the King of Heroes. He even recommended him as the disciple of the great sage. He felt responsible for Siemens’ actions.”
Only after hearing Tyr’s words did Zeke understand Shatton’s actions in chasing Siemens.

‘It couldn’t be helped since Siemens Apollyon who was not only the lord’s adopted son but also someone he loved with affection had become corrupt and brought about the crisis of destroying the world.’
Zeke asked Tyr.
“Was Siemens Apollyon the one who ended up summoning the Demon King?”
“It was even more serious. The Demon King himself descended into his body.”
“The Demon King has descended? From what I know it’s said that only someone with the body of a dragon can withstand the Demon King’s power… Could it be that you took all the dragon’s hearts?”
Tir nodded.
“Yes Siemens Apollyon not only took the dragon’s heart but he also used forbidden magic to transplant the dragon’s body into his own body. Although he was human he had powers no different from a dragon’s. No he had powers stronger than a dragon’s so he was able to accept the Demon King into his own body.”
Zeke heard Tyr’s words and realized something strange.
‘A human with a dragon’s body and a dragon’s heart… Could it be that Siemens Apollyon is the origin of the dragon?’
The only proper tolerance that Zeke had ever seen was Hoshigar Nirvana.
She said that the existence of Yong-in was a trick. It was a trick that Yong-in created because he wanted to spend more time with his contractor.
‘If the dragons saw that and came up with a method then it makes sense. If they created the Yong-in by sharing the heart of the contractor and the dragon in order to cheat the law of karma…’
Tir continued.
“The reason I knew that the relic you showed me earlier was made of adamantium was because of the final battle I had with Siemens Apollyon who had become the Demon King.”
“What does that mean?”
“The great sage hid the Shinsalseok until the very end then took it out in the final battle and sacrificed his soul to seal the Demon King.”
I had heard this story from Richmond before.
It was about a wise man sacrificing himself to seal the Demon King in the Book of the Dead.
At that time I heard that it was sealed in a book called the Book of the Dead but I had never heard that the sage used adamantium.
Not only that I also heard the story of how the hero king Kaisir was defeated by the demon king through Nirvana and how the wise man sacrificed himself to seal him but even Nirvana did not know what material made up the relic.
Zeke looked at the Elder Dragon’s relics again.
‘It contains the power to kill the constellation.’
Then Zeke suddenly remembered the dagger left behind by the dark elf Annexi.
He took out his dagger and showed it to Tyr.
“Your Majesty is this dagger also made of adamantium?”
Tir was surprised when he saw the dagger that Zeke had taken out.
“Where did this come from?”
“I entered this tower and obtained it. It belonged to a dark elf named Annexy the best warrior of the Black River Tribe.”
Tir groaned as he heard Zig’s words.
“Anexi. I remember you. You were a strong and beautiful warrior who was fooled by Siemens’ false propaganda and sacrificed in vain.”
She examined the dagger and nodded.
“This also appears to be adamantium. However unlike the Elder Dragon relic this dagger appears to be dead.”
“The dagger is dead?”
“Yes. It’s hard to explain in words but… I don’t feel any ‘energy’ from this dagger.”
“The energy….”
Suddenly something occurred to Zeke.
‘Maybe I can see it through the spirit eyes?’

He took the Third Eye of Shambhala out of his inventory and asked Tir.
“Do you know what this is?”
Tir looked at the Shambhala necklace that Zeke had taken out with a curious look.
“What is that?”
“This is also an artifact obtained from the tower.”
“Wow there are things like this in the Tower. Kronos has put all sorts of things there. Well this is the first time I’ve seen anything like that.”
Zig asked Tir’s permission to test the necklace and then put the Shambhala necklace around his neck.
Then he looked again at the dagger and the Elder Dragon relic.
As he activated the skill surprisingly a light appeared on Zeke’s forehead.
[The third eye the spiritual eye opens.]
At the same time things that had not been visible to Zeke’s eyes became visible.
For a moment he looked at Tir in surprise and immediately felt that she was a being made of incorporeal spirit.
‘So this is what the Eye of Truth is like.’
Zeke looked away from Tyr and looked at the Elder Dragon’s relic and Annexi’s dagger.
As Tyr had said the Elder Dragon’s relic had a faint aura hovering around it like a haze but Annexi’s dagger had none of that.
‘Is that azalea the power of Shinsal?’
In fact even without the power of the God of Death the dagger’s value was sufficient simply by having the indestructible property.
Zeke closed his eyesight again.
The incarnated Tyr seemed to instinctively sense the difference in energy between the dagger and the relic.
Tir said as he looked at Zig.
“You’re not even a dragon’s contractor but you have many amazing talents. I bet the Druids in the forest would be happy to see you.”
Zeke felt it was time to tell Tyr the real reason he was here.
“I have something to tell you Lord Tir.”
“Something.”
Zeke took out the Holy Grail a holy relic from his inventory this time.
Tyr’s eyebrows twitched as he saw the Holy Grail.
“…Do you know what that glass is and have it?”
“I understand that it is the Holy Grail one of the holy relics bestowed by the Fairy King.”
Tir’s expression hardened.
She said looking at Zeke.
“Zeke Draker what brings you here?”
Zeke said in a calm voice.
“The shield that Lord Tyr had. Is it perhaps one of the Elf King’s holy relics?”
Tir was silent for a while in response to his question.
Then he slowly opened his mouth.
“A relic. Zeke Draker. Why are you looking for a relic?”
Zeke took something out of his bosom.
It was the clock of Kronos a relic of Laura Agamemnon.
Tyr looked at Kronos’ watch and was startled.
I seemed to know what it was.
“You know what this is.”
Tir nodded with a stern expression.
“The watch that contained Kronos’s power… When Kronos left the phenomenal world he left it with Shaton.”
Zeke said to Tyr.
“Your Majesty after the Age of Heroes the invasion of the Demon King’s army occurred once more. We call it the War of Liberation. This phenomenal world was barely saved from destruction thanks to the sacrifice of Bahamut the ruler of the sunset.”
“Bahamut sacrificed himself?”
Tir clenched his teeth at Zig’s words.
Zeke continued.
“The problem is that the prophecy of destruction has not yet ended. Despite the sacrifices of the great sage and Bahamut the Demon King is still waiting for his resurrection under the name of the ‘King in Yellow’ and the group called ‘Narak’ who summons beings from the Demon World through the sealed lion’s letter is causing chaos in the world.”
Tir looked incredulous.
Zeke looked at him and said.
“To prevent the prophecy of destruction we need all three relics that the Elven King gave to humans. I have found the first relic the Holy Grail and I have come here in search of the second relic which is believed to be Tyr’s Shield.”
Tir remained silent confused.
Then after a long time he opened his mouth again.
“Why did you think my shield was a holy relic?”
“It was a conclusion I came to by synthesizing various legends that had been passed down. Tyr who received the shield from the Elven King was recorded as a brave knight with an indomitable will and immortal power. Other heroes who possessed the Holy Grail also had similar legends so I made a guess.”
Tir made a complicated expression then nodded.
“First of all it is true that I possess the holy relic.”
Zeke secretly rejoiced at Tir’s words.
‘The story’s hermit’s guess was correct.’
Although he did not know that the Trial of Strife was created by the Elder Dragons and Dragon Lords under the leadership of Kronos and that Tyr’s spirit resided within it it was true that the relic was in the hands of House Turn.
Tir said as he looked at Zig.
“But what I have is not a shield.”
Zeke was surprised by those words.
“If it’s not a shield… the legend about the Shield of Immortality is also wrong.”
Then Tir tilted his head.
“Well I don’t really know why such a legend came about in the first place. I’ve never fought with a shield.”
He slowly got up from his seat.
Then he pulled out the sword he had been carrying at his waist.
Since Tyr had not used his sword even once during the battle earlier Zigg asked with a puzzled look on his face.
“Do you use kendo?”
Tir shook his head.
“I don’t use a sword. The holy relic isn’t a sword.”
She handed Zeke the scabbard not the sword.
“Are you saying that the scabbard is a holy relic?”
Tir nodded.
“Yes. Strictly speaking the magic on that scabbard is a holy relic.”
“Huh? Is it magic?”
Tir answered slowly looking at the scabbard.
“It’s a bit complicated to explain. In fact what the Fairy King first gave to humans was a stone that contained the power to communicate with him.”
“A stone that can communicate with the Fairy King?”
“Yes. It was a special gift from the Fairy King who cared for humans. However humans abused the stone too much. Because of that the Fairy King stopped responding to the call from some point on.”
Zeke recalled the ‘Tears of the Fairy King’ that he had previously received as a reward.
‘It was definitely an item that could summon the Fairy King.’
I remembered that Caesar was quite reluctant to have the Fairy King intervene in the phenomenal world as it was itself a sign of crisis.
‘But I guess I should use it when I’m in a hurry.’
For now we decided to keep it as a last resort.
Tirga continued his explanation.
“The stone did not work but the power of the Elven King still remained. The stone spun around and entered Caesar where the great sage transferred the remaining power of the stone into the scabbard and used it in a different way.”
“How do you say that?”
“I don’t know the exact principle but the wise man said that it temporarily turns the owner of the scabbard into a being of the spirit world rather than the material world making all physical attacks null and void.”
“All physical attacks are nullified?”
Zig opened his mouth wide after hearing Tir’s explanation.
