A Dragonslayer’s Peerless Regression – 206
by Hectopascal(헥토파스칼 )
Episode 206
“Siemens?”
Zeke was taken aback by Reyes’ unexpected words.
‘Is this the Siemens I know?’
When Zeke read the memories of the Holy Grail he was reminded of the Siemens’ Magic Knights who had been chasing Terracan Draker.
Even at that time I was surprised to see the name Siemens but I never thought that the name Siemens existed even during the reign of King Heroes.
‘Drake and Siemens. Are the two families more connected than I thought?’
Zeke asked Reyes in a calm voice.
“Why do you think Siemens summoned the Demons?”
Reyes clicked his tongue at those words.
“Shatton are you asking me that now? You’re acting really strange today.”
Reyes did not respond to Zeke’s words and slowly got up from his seat.
“Well anyway let’s go now. When you enter the castle there will be a demon that created this area. We have to get rid of that guy so that this forest can return to how it was before.”
Zeke suddenly realized that this was some point on the continent in the past.
He turned on the map examined the terrain and asked the system.
‘System. Where is the most similar place to this place compared to the current continental evangelism?’
[We are exploring the terrain.]
The system soon completed its search.
Surprisingly the terrain the map searched was a place that even Zeke knew.
‘The Forest of the Forgotten? Is this the place?’
The Forest of the Forgotten as Zeke remembers it was a forest of endless floods.
As ancient magic ran wild the Forest of the Forgotten was forever cursed.
There was an endless flood there so anyone who set foot in it wrong would not be able to escape until they died.
That is why powerful ancient beasts evil wizards and those who hold ancient mysteries are hiding in the forest.
Nigel Zeke’s master lived in the forest of the forgotten and served as a sort of administrator as a Highlander.
If there had been no Master all the evil things hiding in the forest would have burst out onto the continent causing great chaos.

‘This is what it looked like two thousand years ago. Was it after this that the curse of endless floods was placed?’
I don’t know how much the hidden stage created by the inverted tower reflected the situation at the time but it was enough to roughly infer the situation.
While Reyes prepared to leave Zeke collected the magic stones and artifacts left behind by the demons he had dealt with earlier.
‘Is that the weapon that guy was using earlier?’
It looked similar to the ‘Qatar’ used by the assassins of Salmak.
While the Katar of the assassins had thin blades that could be easily hidden inside the wrist the weapons of the demons were wider and longer than regular swords.
Zeke checked the weapon information.
-Sword Information-
Description: Weapon exclusively for the Six-Way Combat
Unique Ability: Self-healing
Special feature: This is a weapon exclusively used by Demon Warriors who have mastered the art of the Six-Handed Sword. Even if it breaks it has the ability to recover on its own over time.
‘Self-recovery. What an amazing feature.’
As weapons are used their durability decreases and they tend to wear out.
If you don’t repair it right away when it gets hit it will break at some point and you can no longer use it.
There was no need to worry about Bahamut which had the indestructible property but he remembered that he had carefully managed Gram the sun sword he had used in his previous life in case it broke.
After collecting the artifact Zeke gathered his thoughts and followed Reyes through the forest and approached the inner castle.
The castle of the Demons had a similar atmosphere to the castle of Agamemnon which was cursed.
It was gloomy and thorny and the walls were overgrown with thorns making it difficult to approach.
But Reyes didn’t seem to care at all and confidently walked up to the gate and kicked it open with his foot.
bang!
As the door opened an eerie hallway unfolded before us.
I could feel suspicious sounds moving around in the darkness.
“Let’s go noble knight!”
Zeke grabbed Reyes by the scruff of his neck as he tried to push his way in. He spoke to Reyes as if he was scolding him.
“Surely you’re not going to just go there without any preparation.”
Reyes said pounding his chest.
“What demon tribe has anything to fear when we are with the noble knights! The protection of the King of Heroes will follow us!”
Zeke held his pounding head and spoke to Reyes.
“Don’t say anything weird and just follow me. If there’s anyone who rules this castle it’s obvious that he’ll be up there at the top.”
Zeke a hitman was a specialist in assassinating key figures.
The powerful have always made their residences at the highest points of buildings.
Because of that Zig was a person who was good at finding ways to climb to high places.
Zig who was forcibly pulling Reyes away from the wide-open gate looked for the best place to climb up outside the castle.
Then he took out the chain and connected it to Annexy’s dagger.
Hoo hoo!
Clang- bang!
After swinging the chain a few times Zeke threw it away and embedded the dagger into the wall.

Then he put a chain around Reyes’ waist.
“Hold on tight.”
Zig shortened the length of the chain as it was.
Clang! Clang!
As the chains shortened Zeke and Reyes were left dangling straight from the center of the wall.
“Huh!”
As Reyes hung on the high wall he looked down with a surprised expression and then said to Zeke.
“Shatton. I didn’t know you had such talent.”
Zeke didn’t respond but instead pulled out another dagger chained it to himself and drove it into the wall again.
After repeating this several times Zig was soon able to climb to the very top of the wall.
That was when.
Kkaaaak!
A harpy-like creature flapped its black wings and flew towards Zeke and Reyes as they were climbing the wall.
Wheeeeeek!
The guy tried to attack Zeke and Reyes who were hanging on the wall with his sharp claws.
“Get out you punk!”
Reyes swung his spear at the demon while hanging on.
But the demon circled through the air and easily dodged Reyes’ spear.
And after a while the demon led the group and flew towards Zeke and Reyes.
“Reyes that thing that flew with scales earlier. Can’t you use that?”
“Have you forgotten that you can only use the Blue Bombardment once a day!”
Reyes was of no help at all.
Zeke stood with his back to the wall anchoring his body with the remaining dagger embedded in the wall.
In that state he took out the dark elf bow from his inventory.
‘An artifact with penetration ability. Let’s try it out.’
Magical weapons themselves were rare to begin with but enchanted bows were even rarer.
Zig took out the arrow he had made using the item crafting system and hung it on his bowstring.
And then he immediately pulled the bowstring taut and shot an arrow at the rushing demon.
ping!
The arrow fired by Zig pierced through the demon’s body with astonishing speed.
Keeeeek!
The demon struck by Zeke’s arrow staggered and then fell to the ground.
‘Is the power okay?’
Becoming good at archery was not as easy as I thought.
On the battlefield there were many cases where even the best blue knights were killed by arrows from skilled archers when their stamina was low.
Excellent archers who could penetrate thick armor and exploit gaps were as valuable as knights.
If such archers used bows enchanted with this piercing magic it would be possible to easily penetrate the armor of knights and kill them.
‘It was a surprisingly great artifact.’
Zig reloaded his arrows again and aimed for the demons.
Ping! Ping! Ping!
As Zeke shot the demons were pierced by the arrows and fell to the ground.
When only a few remained due to Zig’s continued attacks the demons got scared and fled.
However Zeke did not leave the fleeing demons alone and shot them with arrows eventually killing them all.
As soon as the demon disappeared Zeke put away his bow and climbed up the wall again with Reyes.
thud!
After a while Zeke and Reyes managed to climb to the top of the wall.
Looking from above it was quite a dizzying height all the way to the bottom.
Zig quickly checked the structure of the wall and then headed toward the tower across the bridge.
‘Those in power always want to be where the bottom is most visible.’
Structurally that place was the tower on the east side.
As Zeke and Reyes were about to cross the bridge and enter the tower someone blocked their way.
Grrrrr!
A low-level demon with several Cerberus was waiting for Zeke and Reyes on the bridge.
[How dare you human enter our sacred castle! Die!]
The unleashed Cerberus’s charged at Zeke and Reyes.
Woof! Woof! Woof!
Cerberus bared its sharp teeth and tried to bite Zeke.
That was when.
Choaaaak!
Reyes quickly unfurled the net he was carrying on his shoulder.
Phew!
Reyes snatched Cerberus out of the air and swung the net around sending it flying over the bridge.
Kekeke!
The Cerberus fell down the bridge screaming.
The remaining Cerberus on the bridge took a small step back when they saw this.
Krrrr!
Zeke took up his sword and aimed it at the Cerberus.
“I don’t have time to deal with you guys.”
Zeke turned the sword down and struck him in the leg.
Bahamut was stuck in a bridge made of solid stone.
Zig caused a strong resonance in that state spreading the waves.
Ddddddddd!
Cracks began to appear in the bridge and cracks began to appear on the side where Cerberus was.
Break it!
The Cerberus instinctively felt fear and tried to retreat.
But the bridge was collapsing faster.
Kkwaddudduk!
As the cracks worsened the bridge collapsed into pieces.
The Cerberus above fell to the ground along with the debris of the collapsing bridge.
Break it! Break it!
In the aftermath the place where Zeke and Reyes were was about to collapse as well and Zeke threw the chain holding the dagger against the opposite wall.
Chorrrrrr!
Zig who had jumped over the broken bridge with Reyes rushed towards where the demons were.
Ziggy kicked the demon with a strong resonance.
Kwakwakwang!
The demons retreated in confusion at the wave-like attack of the Zeke.
[Ugh! How can a human be so skilled?]
Before he could come to his senses Zeke arrived at the opposite tower and shouted at Reyes with his sword in hand.
“Reyes! Net!”
At Zeke’s words Reyes quickly spread his net toward the demons.
Clang!
The demon rolled over to avoid Reyes’ net that suddenly came rushing towards him.
But there was no escaping the chains of Zeke that followed him more persistently.
Chorrrrrr!
Zig’s chains wrapped around the demon’s body.
“Ugh!”
When Reyes tried to stab the demon with his spear Zeke stopped him.
“Let’s just get some information out of this guy.”
Reyes was surprised by those words.
“Shatton you want to interrogate me? If Caesar saw that he’d fall backwards.”
“…Don’t you know that people change over time?”
Zeke pretended as if nothing had happened and quickly approached the chained demon.
“Tell me how many people are inside the Demon Tower.”
Then the demon glared at Zigg with red eyes and spat.
[You damn humans! I’ll scalp you chop you up into tiny pieces and kill you!]
Reyes who was standing next to him clicked his tongue and said.
“I don’t know what he’s talking about but I know he’s swearing.”
Zig who had become somewhat accustomed to dealing with demons calmly took out Agamemnon’s mask from his inventory.
Previously I had been refraining from using it as much as possible because the mana consumption was too high but since I unlocked the infinite stamina skill I was able to recover quickly even when using the purification skill.
‘I can’t use the skill myself but there was no mention of the skills contained in the item being restricted.’
After Zeke put on Agamemnon’s mask he grabbed the chains wrapping around the demon’s body and used the ‘Purification’ skill.
Wooooow!
As the purification skill was activated as Zeke had thought a golden aura was transmitted to the demon through the chain.
I controlled my strength as much as possible and emitted an aura in case the demon tribe was destroyed by the purification.
[Kwaaaaak!]
The demon screamed as the chains imbued with golden aura dug into his body.
Zig asked as he looked at the suffering demon.
“Do you feel like talking now?”
[Ugh….]
However Zigg again used his aura of purification to hit the still stiff demon.
[Eww! Stop! Stop!]
If I could have used the Holy Fire skill I would have made it surrender faster but this was enough for a low-level demon.
Zig grabbed the demon’s collar and asked again.
“Tell me how many troops are in the tower and where the castle’s master is. Also tell me what abilities the boss has. The longer you delay the more trouble I’ll have.”
The demon’s face turned pale at Zig’s words.
