A Dragonslayer’s Peerless Regression – 200
by Hectopascal(헥토파스칼 )
Episode 200
Kkwadduk!
Bahamut pierced the one-eyed warrior’s heart through his armor.
[Ugh!]
The cross-eyed warrior shouted as he grabbed the blade that had pierced his body.
[Kill that guy!]
The other dark elf warriors rushed towards Zeke.
Zeke released the hand that was holding Bahamut and performed an infinite chain.
Kkwadduk!
He waved his hands and feet while wearing the Hersion and it was a weapon in itself.
Warriors hit by Zeke’s capital and slash were buried in the ground or sent flying far away and crashed into walls.
‘Now seven.’
The one-eyed warrior who had been stabbed by Bahamut rushed at Zeke with the last of his strength.
[Die! Human!]
Zig turned around and fired a powerful blast of lightning at the cross-eyed warrior.
phut!
With a popping sound Zeke’s fist blew half of the cross-eyed warrior’s body away.
[Eww!]
Only then did the one-eyed warrior completely collapse and slowly turn to ash.
She glared at Zeke until the moment when he completely disappeared.
‘The resentment towards humans is enormous.’
Zeke shook his head at those eyes and looked around. After checking the situation he released Hersion and confronted the remaining dark elves with Bahamut.
At the moment of One-Eyed’s death the other warriors’ morale seemed to have been broken.
Still the dark elves rushed at Zeke.
Crunch-
Zeke cut down all the warriors rushing towards Bahamut.

Finally Zeke stood face to face with the last remaining captain.
[You’re strong human.]
“Dark elves. Why did you come here?”
[We were in a war zone. We were hiding from the human army. We’ve been here for about two weeks now.]
“This week?”
The dark elves were only aware that two weeks had passed not 2000 years.
‘So you were stuck here in a psychic state time stopped?’
Zeke recalled the phrase that came out when he had defeated the orcs and dark elves.
‘The cursed soul has left the realm.’
As Zeke had expected it seemed as if the spirits of the orcs and dark elves had been captured here to create this testing ground.
Then the dark elf captain took out his sword.
The sword she held in both hands felt different from the ones held by other warriors; it was a misshapen sword made of a material that resembled a shiny black jewel.
The dark elf captain looked at Zeke and said.
[Human. My name is Annex. I am the best warrior of the Black River Tribe. What is your name?]
Zeke answered Annexy’s words.
“Zeke Draker.”
Annex nodded at his answer.
[Drake. A descendant of the Black Sword?]
“It would be more correct to view him as a winner.”
[Zeke Draker: If what you say is true and the power of the Sword Saint was passed down after 2000 years then we must have lost the war.]
“Anexi. The war you speak of is the battle between the Orc army led by the Demon King and the Human army led by Kaisir.”
Then Annex raised her sword and said.
[I hope you don’t put us on the same level as those filthy people like Orcs.]
She raised her sword and aimed it at Zeke.
[It doesn’t matter whether what you say is true or not. I Annex will protect the honor of the Black River as a warrior until the end.]
Wheeeeeeee―
At that moment Annex whistled again.
Zig stepped forward and unleashed a powerful resonance.
Woohoo!
The vibration of the resonance bounced off Annexy’s whistle. In that state Zig swung his sword at Annexy.
Phew!
Annex jumped into the air and swung her sword in a strange motion.
Pachin!
Zeke felt that Annex’s movements resembled Ishtar’s magic.
Whee!
She spun around in the air swinging the swords in both hands repeatedly.
Window! Window! Window!

Annexy continued to attack while floating in the air due to the rebound from her impact with Zeke’s sword.
As the rapid and irregular attacks continued to pour in Zeke felt his stamina gradually depleting.
‘A breathless attack of this level of power.’
There was no room to breathe.
It wasn’t a problem when I had the infinite stamina skill but now I feel like I’m wasting even a single breath.
Then Annexy spun around in the air and threw a pivot with all her weight on it.
Phew!
A powerful kick landed on Zig’s chest.
“Ugh!”
Zigg who was hit by Annex’s pivot fell backwards.
“Phew. Phew.”
But Zeke quickly stood up and picked up Bahamut.
The situation was that a lot of stamina and mana had already been consumed.
‘The game must be decided here.’
Zeke concentrated and took up his sword.
Woohoo!
Zeke’s sword rang out faintly. Annexy also aimed her twin swords at Zeke.
She rushed towards Zeke first.
Shushu shushuk!
In an instant her body split into several parts creating clones.
A clone technique created with pure technology not magic.
The eyes of Zeke who had mastered the whirlwind technique saw the true nature of Annexy’s clone technique.
‘That’s all the body.’
All three clones are real bodies not afterimages.
Zeke breathed strength into his sword.
Kwakwakwakwa!
The aura blade infused with the last of its strength rose from the sword.
Squeezing all his strength Zeke carefully focused his Auror Blade.
Then the surface of the Aura Blade which had been rippling like flames became calm.
Soon Zeke’s Aura Blade took on the appearance of a thinly coated sword.
It was compressed and compressed again rippling like a calm lake.
Sasa sasa sak!
Annex’s three clones simultaneously swung their swords at Zeke.
Zig took a stance and unleashed his dragon killing technique.
But it felt different than usual.
‘What is this feeling?’
It was so quiet that it felt like there was no one there.
Zig swung his hand according to the sword’s guidance not the Dragon Sword’s.
Wheeeeeeee
The sensation of cutting itself was not felt at all.
As if he had cut through the air nothing caught Zeke’s hand.
‘What is this…?’
As Zeke put away his sword Annexy stood in front of him holding a dagger and looking at him.
She said looking at Zeke.
[It was a great sword. I am glad that I was able to maintain my honor as a warrior until the end.]
Ss …
Annexy looked at Zeke and slowly disappeared into herself.
Only after she was gone did Zeke relax and slump down on the spot.
A new area that I glimpsed only after exhausting all my strength.
‘I’ve found a clue to move forward as a black knight.’
Zeke now felt as if he was beginning to get a sense of what Rex Turn had been saying.
He took a deep breath then sat up again and looked at the spot where Annexy had disappeared.
Two daggers and a flute remained where she had been.
– Flute Information –
Description: A flute made from ancient spirit water.
Unique Ability: Psychic Suppression
Special: The better the performance the more effective the psychic suppression becomes.
-Dagger Information-
Description: A dagger made of an unknown mineral.
Unique Ability: Indestructible
Special feature: A dagger passed down to the strongest warrior of the Black River Tribe an ancient dark elf race.
Zeke was shocked when he saw the dagger information.
“Indestructible? I didn’t know there were weapons with this property other than Bahamut.”
It was also surprising that even the system couldn’t figure out what material this dagger was made of.
Zeke looked closely at the dagger in curiosity and felt that he had seen this material somewhere.
‘Could this be…?’
He took out the Dragon Statue a relic of the Elder Dragon from his inventory.
A dark and gloomy dragon statue.
Zeke compared the Dragon Statue with Annexy’s dagger.
“The material is the same?”
The indestructible dagger and dragon statue were made of the same material.
If it was a dagger made of the same material as the dragon statue that contained the spirit of the Elder Dragon it didn’t seem like an ordinary artifact.
‘If you’re a Golin you probably know what this is.’
Zeke took hold of the dagger and swung it around.
Although it was a little heavy the balance was perfect.
“It’s a bit different in shape from the dagger I use but… I’ll get used to it if I practice.”
Zeke put both the dagger and the flute into his inventory.
And I went around the battle site and collected all the deformed swords left behind by other dark elf warriors.
Unlike the Orc’s axe and armor the Dark Elf’s sword was of good quality and was a good weight.
After much deliberation Zick decided to sell all but two.
[You earn 220 points.]
Unlike the Orc weapon which gave 10 points the Dark Elf weapon gave 20 points.
‘Not bad.’
Since inventory space was limited it was more profitable to sell them and exchange them for karma points since you couldn’t take them with you anyway.
Then Zeke discovered something different in the place left by the one-eyed warrior.
“I thought one was empty but it’s armor Hersion.”
It was similar in form to the Hersion I had obtained from the Goblin Warrior.
Zeke tried equipping the Hersion left behind by the one-eyed warrior.
Clang!
It was similar to elven armor but dark elf armor was black in color and felt more form-fitting.
Zeke checked the armor information.
-Armor Information-
Description: Light armor favored by dark elves.
Unique Ability: Stealth
Special features: Very light and easy to move.
It had less defensive power than elven armor but it seemed like it would be useful when traveling at night.
“It’s a nice artifact. Since we can’t use stealth here it could be useful as a substitute.”
Zeke also put the dark elf armor into his inventory.
At that moment a bright light flashed from a certain place.
Zeke headed towards the light.
Moving quickly in the absence of the dark elf he could see that light was rising from the floor to the ceiling of what looked like an altar.
“I guess this is the destination.”
Zik went to where the light was emanating and stood.
Then a message came to mind.
[You have completely conquered the hidden stage.]
[The realm of dedication is amazed by the subject’s capabilities.]
[Rewards are given based on successful stage clearing.]
[Reward is being determined.]
[The reward will be delivered to the recipient.]
A light flashed in front of Zig and he was given four random boxes.
But one of the random boxes had a different shape than the ones I usually see.
“golden yellow?”
While all the random boxes I’ve seen so far have been bronze this one was shining gold.
[1000 experience points are awarded as a reward for surviving the hidden stage.]
[You will be given three regular random boxes as a reward for surviving the hidden stage.]
[One special random box will be given as a reward for clearing the hidden stage with amazing skills.]
“It’s a special random box.”
I don’t know what it is but it seemed good.
Zeke first opened the regular random box. Two medals and a bow came out.
―Medal Information―
Description: A medal containing the power of the ancient Orc race.
Unique Ability: Battle Cry
Special: Can draw out the morale and abilities of colleagues depending on the user’s capabilities.
―Medal Information―
Description: A medal containing the power of the ancient dark elf race.
Unique Ability: Taming
Special: Can tame creatures that are difficult to tame.
―Archery Information―
Description: A bow favored by the ancient elven race.
Unique Ability: Penetration
Special feature: Even small arrows can penetrate targets.
A bow enchanted with a medal containing the power of the Orcs and Dark Elves appears.
“It’s okay. The Orc Medallion has a buff function. If you absorb it with Gluttony and then use an area-of-effect buff you can amplify its abilities even more. And let’s see… Taming? Did you tame a Hellhound or a Wyvern with this ability?”
Zeke recalled Arthur Draker riding a wyvern through the air earlier.
Bucephalus could fly but he couldn’t travel long distances and Richmond’s transformation didn’t last long.
If it were possible to tame monsters it would seem that travel time could be greatly reduced.
“Good. All that’s left is that special random box…”
Zeke swallowed dry saliva and slowly opened the golden box.
Then a dazzling light flashed from inside.
‘It’s noisy.’
After a while when the light had completely disappeared Zeke examined the items inside the box.
“What is this?”
What came out of the special random box was none other than a necklace of a peculiar shape.
Zeke picked up the necklace and examined it closely.
The circular metal medal had an eye-like pattern engraved into it.
Zik immediately checked the necklace information.
―Necklace Information―
Description: The Third Eye of Shambhala
Unique Power: Eye of Truth
Special: Anyone who wears the necklace will have their spiritual eyes opened allowing them to see the truth.
Zigg was surprised when he checked the necklace information.
“The power to see the truth?”
The artifact that contained the power was something that even Zigg had never seen before.
Zeke tried on the necklace.
There was no change perhaps because powers could not be used inside the upside-down tower.
‘I guess we’ll have to go outside to find out what it does.’
Zig put the necklace in his inventory with a fluttering heart.
Then a new message occurred to me.
[The structure of the testing center will change.]
[Move from the 51st floor to the hidden stage corresponding to the 90th floor test.]
[As the difficulty is adjusted randomly a corresponding reward is given when passing the hidden stage.]
This time too the realm of the leap has adjusted the stage at will.
Zeke’s body was enveloped in light.
The scenery changed in an instant.
‘Where is this?’
Zeke who had become somewhat accustomed to the experience after experiencing it twice looked around. It was a completely different atmosphere from the ruins where the dark elves had been.
The labyrinth completely blocked on all sides unfolded before my eyes again.
As Zeke turned on the map and began to understand the structure of the labyrinth he heard something approaching from across the hallway.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Heavy footsteps that shook the earth. It could have been a large monster.
After a while the figure of a being approaching from the end of the hallway was revealed.
Zeke was astonished at the sight of its presence.
‘Could that be… the devil?’
