    Episode 176

    Ddddddd!

The ghost ship was coming closer to the ship.

The knight stumbled backwards in fear. Before he knew it the fog had thickened to the knight’s feet.

The knight who saw the ghost ship floundered in fear.

Then a hand holding a dagger appeared from the shadows.

    Choaack!

The dagger cut the knight’s Achilles tendon and disappeared.

Blood gushed from the knight’s ankle.

    “Ahhh! Ghost! Ghost attack!”

The Imperial Knight crawled on the floor and shouted.

At that shout the other knights waiting below the cabin jumped out in surprise.

“What kind of ghost ship is there on this crazy river…?”

The knights who came up onto the deck grumbling were terrified when they saw the ghost ship appearing out of the fog.

“It really is a ghost ship!”

In an instant monsters leaped onto the deck. The knights were so shocked that they were helpless against the monsters’ attacks without even being able to properly draw their swords.

    “Eww!”

The knights were pushed back by the attacks of ghosts and monsters and fell into the river.

The confused imperial knights bled to death in an instant.

    * * *

    ‘It’s quite a sight.’

Zeke was watching what was happening on the ship clearly hiding his presence through hiding.

When a knight who was hallucinating due to Bisco’s bloodline ability screamed that he had seen a ghost ship the other knights who came up onto the deck also had hallucinations of seeing a ghost ship that did not exist.

    ‘Is this a mass hallucination?’

Zeke summoned his dragonfly among the panicked knights.

The hallucinating Imperial Knights perceived the Dragon Tooth Soldiers as monsters and ghosts from the Ghost Ship.

The terrified knights fell helplessly unable to use their strength properly and Zeke was able to easily capture the ship.

‘Bisko’s bloodline ability. If used well it can be utilized in many ways.’

As the Dragon Knights killed all the knights on board Bisco who had been hiding appeared.

    “Oh my god…..”

Bisco looked dumbfounded as he watched the horrific sight created by his own bloodline powers.

Zeke emerged from hiding and approached Bisco.

    “Why are you so surprised?”

    Bisco said sweating profusely.

“This is my first time using hallucinations like this… I didn’t expect it to have this much of an effect.”

Zig gave Bisco a magic scroll and an amplifier to create fog and told him to spread his blood along with the fog.

Bisco’s blood which spread with the fog caused a mass hallucination and triggered a tremendous chain reaction.

“One of the most terrifying things in group combat is illusion magic. Plus your ability is a blood-based ability so it can’t be tracked by magic. Be confident Bisco it’s a rare talent.”

After his powers changed from the power of explosions to the power of hallucinations Bisco was treated as trash in the laboratory and was almost discarded.

He felt deeply moved and awe towards Zeke who recognized his strength.

‘This person is my true master.’

Zeke moved away from Bisco who was looking at him with a look of overwhelming emotion and summoned Nahuel after processing the corpses on the deck with the power of corruption.

    Woof woof woof!

Then he ordered Nahuel to pull the boat upstream.

If Boris was going to get Dario out safely he needed to step up and make a big splash.

    Zeke said to Bisco.

“I changed my mind after seeing the power of your abilities Bisco. Instead of luring them let’s just take them out.”

“Yes? Are you talking about the two of us?”

Bisco swallowed dry saliva at Zeke’s words.

    * * *

The Bolt River which runs horizontally across the Central Continent boasts the longest length in the Central Continent.

The Voltro River which runs across the Roman Empire to the Midlands becomes wider and faster as it goes upstream making it difficult to cross in a small boat.

Dozens of warships were stationed upstream of the river in such a bolt-action configuration.

Between the ships the Siemens flag with two entangled snakes flapped in the wind.

On board the ship were Siemens’ private soldiers and knights in scorpion-patterned armor – the Knights of the Scorpio.

    Then someone appeared on deck.

A goat-bearded knight armed with rare items from head to toe. He was Carlito Luciano the vice-captain of the Knights of the Scorpio.

Calito had little skill as a knight and his family lineage was nothing special.

The reason why such a person Kalito was able to rise to the position of Vice-Captain of the Knights of the Scorpio one of the 13 Imperial Legions was because he was the only person who could control the commander Gillian.

Also Gillian the leader of the Knights of the Scorpio Order was a typical warrior with little interest in outside affairs.

Since Calito took care of most of the work inside and outside the Knights Templar in place of the captain he could be seen as the actual commander of the unit.

Carlito put a cigar in his mouth and blew out a long puff of smoke.

Next to him stood a bespectacled man with a chubby face wearing a black suit.

The man wearing thick glasses fidgeted in front of Calito sweating profusely.

“Calito” said the man in the suit smoking a thick cigar in a few puffs.

“Six said he took care of Dario and the Red Eye droppers. Why did he call me over to do this?”

Then the man in the suit spoke to Calito.

“That’s right I heard that Siemens has personally conveyed the message to the elders. They have ordered us to remain vigilant and maintain a tight defense as forces other than Red Eye may have been involved.”

At those words Calito’s eyes turned sharp.

“Am I in a position where I have to follow orders from my family and do whatever they tell me to do?”

When Calito showed signs of discomfort the man in the suit shook his head in embarrassment.

“How could that be? The elders will pay a price befitting the rank of Sir Calito.”

Calito glared at the man with his sharp eyes and snorted.

“Of course it should be like that.”

Carlito was a man with excellent rhetoric and political sense to the point where he put the typical punk Gillian at the forefront as the leader and used the power of the Nostra family behind the scenes to control the Knights of the Scorpio.

The Carlito and Nostra families maintained a symbiotic relationship through a tense standoff because they held each other’s weaknesses.

Although he did express his dissatisfaction it was difficult for Carlito to refuse his family’s request.

He took out a new cigar put it in his mouth and frowned.

‘You annoying old bastards. One day I’ll wipe them all out and swallow up the Nostra family in one fell swoop.’

    That was when.

Suddenly the sky became cloudy and a thick fog began to form around the area.

As thick fog enveloped the ship Carlito sensed an ominous feeling.

He asked the man in the suit.

“You said something on Siemens’ side earlier. What do you mean by saying that a force other than Red Eye may have been involved?”

At those words the man in the suit closed his mouth with an embarrassed expression.

Calito grabbed the man by the collar.

    “Speak straight!”

The man barely opened his mouth at his shout.

“Dr. Draker. He said Draker might be involved.”

At those words Calito looked puzzled.

    “Drake kidnapped Dario? Why?”

The man in the suit shook his head and answered.

“I don’t know much about that either. The information was conveyed quite vaguely from Siemens as well…”

Calito threw the man in the suit aside and sweat profusely as he watched the thickening fog.

    ‘Not good. Not good.’

Carlito had an excellent sense of instinct and sense of situation. His excellent speaking skills and political sense were all derived from that instinct.

The vampire gangs Red Eye and Draker were incomparable.

Although it wasn’t exact information if Draker was really involved in this he could have gotten involved in the wrong way and all the efforts he had made could have gone down the drain.

Calito hurriedly looked for his adjutant.

    That was when.

“Ghost ship! The ghost ship is coming!”

At the sudden voice both Carlito and the man in the suit were startled and looked beyond the fog.

The blurry shadow gradually became clearer and a truly old ship began to approach.

Not only Calito but also the man in the suit had his mouth open.

    “A ghost ship?”

A normal person would have panicked but Carlito was a quick-witted person.

‘A ghost ship coming up the river? That’s ridiculous!’

Calito came to his senses and shouted.

“Magic! Illusion magic! Call the damn Siemens wizards! Dismantle the illusion magic!”

But it was already too late.

    Kookookookook!

There was a loud noise from the bottom of the captain’s ship that Calito was on and the hull shook violently.

Calito was taken aback by the faster-than-expected contact.

    ‘what?’

The knights of Scorpio and the knight soldiers of Siemens who were on the ship were also confused and wandered around.

The man in the suit shouted at Calito.

“My stomach feels like it’s sinking!”

Then the adjutant came running towards Calito.

“Vice-Captain! Monsters are pouring out of the ghost ship!”

The ghost ship that had suddenly arrived was attacking other ships.

    Calito shouted at his adjutant.

“You idiot! What kind of ghost ship is that on the river? It’s a magical illusion!”

The adjutant looked bewildered at Calito’s words.

When the adjutant still didn’t come to his senses Calito slapped him in the face.

    “Huh!”

“Wake up! Give me the whistle!”

Calito took the whistle he had taken from his adjutant and sent out an emergency signal.

    Beep! Beep!

A signal to fall back reverberated throughout the unit.

At the same time Calito gestured.

“Let’s get out of here first! Once the magic is dismantled we can attack them! We have a much greater advantage in numbers!”

With his outstanding survival instinct Carlito quickly figured out the situation and found a way to survive.

He led his men to the back of the ship and tried to get them onto a boat and onto land before the ship sank.

    Kwakwakwakwang!

At the same time the sound of Siemens’ wizards firing magic toward the ghost ship could be heard.

    Calito smiled in conversion.

“All right. The illusionary spell will break soon. Watch for an opening and send the signal for an all-out attack!”

He intended to take a boat and go ashore to ensure his own safety first.

    Kwakwakwakwakwang!

After such a fierce battle Calito got on a boat and left the river and landed. He saw magic flashing in the distance.

    Carlito nodded crossing his arms.

“That’s it. He’s going to explode and self-destruct soon.”

He clicked his tongue as he looked at the man in the suit with a blank expression.

“Wake up! I heard you were one of the Six but I don’t think that’s the case.”

Then the man barely managed to get up and said.

“I am not a combatant. My role is mainly to convey the words of the elders.”

    That was when.

    Whoosh!

A dagger flew from somewhere and struck the forehead of one of the knights guarding Calito and the man.

    thud!

As the knight fell Carlito panicked and drew his sword shouting.

“What are you guys doing! Hurry up and protect me!”

The Knights of Scorpio stood guard around the area holding shields and protecting Calito.

    But it was no use.

    Pfft pfft pfft!

A huge bolt of lightning struck the Knights of Scorpio.

    “Kkaaaak!”

The knights who were hit directly by the lightning fell down foaming at the mouth.

Carlito shouted at the man in the suit next to him with fearful eyes.

“Damn it! There’s a wizard! Do something about it!”

The man in the suit just adjusted his glasses and sweat profusely.

At the same time a thick fog spread among the knights.

    “Ugh!”

Suddenly the knights’ eyes changed and they began to swing their swords at each other.

    “It’s a freaking monster!”

    “Kwaaaaak!”

As the knights began to fight each other recognizing each other as monsters Carlito stepped back in confusion.

“What the hell is this hallucination!”

It was worth paying a high price for the rare artifact armor as Kalito did not experience any hallucinations.

Then the man in the suit behind him spoke to Calito.

“Karlito sir. This doesn’t seem to be magic. It seems to be a tongue bloodline ability…”

Calito shouted at the man in the suit.

“Why are you telling me that now! You idiot!”

He turned around and started to run away leaving the knights swinging their swords at each other.

Thanks to the magic armor he was running very fast.

At that moment something appeared in front of the fleeing Calito.

    Kookung!

A death knight in black armor.

The Death Knight appeared from the fog.
