A Dragonslayer’s Peerless Regression – 159
by Hectopascal(헥토파스칼 )
Episode 159
Zeke looked at the simulation results with a serious expression.
“Why was the distribution concentrated on passive skills that had already been fully developed? On the contrary the skill proficiency and summoned creature growth that were lacking were not distributed at all.”
You can earn karma points by killing monsters or beasts with magical powers.
The karma points that Zeke has received so far were those received as system rewards.
However upon closer inspection I found that the experience points required for ability growth were set to be distributed automatically.
This was because the function was activated in temporary administrator mode due to Zig’s return as an emergency measure.
“It’s fortunate that I know now but it’s a shame that I wasted it all until now.”
Zig ran a distribution simulation to determine the most effective way to distribute points.
Among other settings there were functions that allowed you to change system reward points into experience points and settings that allowed you to receive experience points as reward points.
Giving up experience points would allow you to gain more karma points which would be useful for using the shop or unlocking new skills but it would not allow you to increase the proficiency of skills you have already unlocked.
That’s why Zig kept the reward points the same and only adjusted the ratio of experience points.
The thing he placed the highest importance on for growth was none other than ‘spiritual power.’
“Raising the level of the soul meant that I had to raise this ability.”
Spiritual power to put it simply seemed to mean the power of the soul.
The soul machine that Zeke used was one that drew upon the power of the soul to manifest his will.
In other words the stronger your spiritual power becomes the more powerful your soul energy can be used.
Besides there was one more reason to increase my spiritual power. It was something I had just learned.
“The Dragon Clan skill works through spiritual power?”
Until now I thought that dragon skills worked like active skills using mana before the break.
However after reading the manual I found that the power of the Dragon Clan’s skills had a higher correlation with the Spirit Power ability.
Zig remembered that the dragon’s claw had left an incurable wound on the demon.
Since it was a technique that worked with the power of the soul it seemed possible to inflict damage on the soul of the demon itself.
If the group of people from the Abyss who joined hands with Abel continued to summon demons and beasts through a contract with the devil then raising the spiritual power ability that could directly strike at souls was an urgent task.
Zig finished setting up the point distribution and went into the summon management settings.
The images of the summons registered by Zig appeared on the screen as three-dimensional images.

When Zeke swiped the image with his hand the next summoned creature’s appearance would appear.
“Show me the full list of system summons.”
Then the images of all the summoned creatures suddenly appeared before Zeke’s eyes.
Bucephalos Guraub Nahuel Richmond Dragontooth and even the currently dormant Guardians are displayed in 3D.
Zeke chose Nahuel and looked through the list of managers.
As Zig was looking through the list he found the function he was looking for.
“Here it is. Summon growth and evolution.”
Experience points could be automatically granted to summons but it was also possible to increase their rank or level up their skills by granting them karma points received as a reward.
Zeke looked into Nahuel’s growth experience.
To evolve into a divine being more karma points skill proficiency and spiritual power were required.
“Evolution doesn’t happen simply by giving karma points.”
The same was true for other summons.
There was one exception: Richmond.
“Richmond can also grow by absorbing items for necromancers or the power of undead monsters.”
Richmond was an undead monster with a unique history but it became Zeke’s summon when the bones of a lowly dragon were mixed in so its growth method was different from that of normal summons.
After finishing setting up the summoner management Zigg looked through the equipment list.
The things I looked at most carefully were the Bahamut he was holding the Hersion Orichalcum sword of Theia and the Cloud Sword with Aratasso sealed inside.
When Zeke chose the Orichalcum Sword first a message window popped up.
[You can manage your equipment after registration by giving it a name.]
“Give me a name?”
Except for Bahamut no weapon was ever given a separate name.
‘Anyway I’m the only one who can use this sword right now… and since the princess said so I think it’d be better to just give it a name and let me use it.’
Zik thought for a moment about what name to give it. Then a name came to mind.
“Roland the Knight of the Divine.”
When the Luverne Dynasty grew into the Holy Empire the person who contributed the most was Roland Durandal who led the twelve Arch Paladins and commanded the Holy Knights.
Widely known for his epic poem ‘The Song of Roland’ he was known as the most knightly knight since the dragon slayer Terracan Drake.
Zeke named the Orichalcum sword imbued with the power of the Arc Paladin after Roland Durandal.
[Register equipment as ‘Roland’.]
As soon as the message appeared the Orichalcum sword automatically appeared in front of Sieg rising up while emitting a bright light.
Zeke held the shining holy sword Roland.
At the same time another message window popped up.
[Roland has been registered as equipment.]
[Roland’s durability is 82%.]
[It is recommended to repair when durability falls below 60%.]
[Roland’s abilities can be increased by ‘strengthening’.]
[Check the list of materials needed to strengthen your equipment and upgrade to higher grade equipment.]
“You can strengthen it to a higher grade?”

Zeke checked the list of ingredients both surprised and happy.
“A blessed holy water with mithril and a fortune teller? Why do you need gold and jewels?”
Besides this there were many other small materials that were needed.
If things continued like this it seemed like it would become an incredibly fancy sword.
Zeke shook his head as he imagined himself holding a flashy fancy sword.
“Hmm I guess I’ll have to go to Atlas to get the materials.”
There were also materials that could be purchased at the shop using karma points but I wanted to save points as much as possible so I planned to get as many as I could.
Zik next examined the Uncheolgeom.
[The equipment is currently sealed.]
When I put the demon Arataso in and bound him with the soul sealing technique the sword’s information did not activate.
Then the message came back to me again.
[You can increase the ability of sealed equipment by ‘strengthening’.]
“You can enhance the abilities of sealed equipment?”
Zeke like Roland looked through the list of enhancements for the Uncheolgeom.
It required quite a few hard-to-find materials including fairy stones.
“I guess I’ll have to get this when I get Roland’s strengthening materials.”
Since we may have to deal with demons like Aratasso in the future the production and strengthening of sealing equipment was an important part.
Following the Uncheolgeom Zeke also checked the information on Bahamut and Theia’s Hersion.
Since both of their abilities were currently sealed there was nothing they could do to strengthen them or improve their abilities.
“You can grant karma points but I don’t know how much you can grow with just that.”
Theia’s Hersion also needed to obtain an authentication code from Theia’s temple to use all of its sealed functions.
Finally Zeke checked the skill information.
The screen changed and Zig’s skills spread out connected like tree trunks.
“Wow what is this?”
Zeke looked at his skill tree and his mouth fell open.
There were some titles and skills that were linked and there were also some skills that were independent and separate.
“The title Yong-in and the Dragon Clan skill are tied together.”
The title Yong-in and Yong-an Yong’s majesty Yong-rin-gap were tied together by their stems.
Most of the dragon skills were grouped together but only one skill was separate.
“Why is the gluttony skill separate?”
It was the only skill in the tree that existed independently without any skills linked to it.
It was strange but I didn’t fully understand the composition and the gluttony skill itself was such a fraudulent skill that I figured it was just that.
Zig looked at the skills in the skill tree that were not properly connected yet.
“The Golden Sword of the Sun and the Infinite Chain Technique that I acquired this time are tied together.”
The True Dragon Sword and the Yongsalbeop Whirlwind which have the same root were also tied together.
In the case of the True Dragon Sword the skill of the Dragon Slaughter method’s Wind Chime was linked with each other so the proficiency of each skill had an effect.
In other words as the skill proficiency of the True Dragon Sword skill increases the proficiency of the Dragon Slaughter method and the Wind Whirl skill also increases.
On the other hand the Golden Sword of the Sun and Infinite Chain were connected but Infinite Chain was not registered as a skill.
“I think it’s because I haven’t properly mastered the infinite chain yet.”
For the True Dragon Sword it was only registered after all the sword techniques had been learned and the proficiency level had increased before it was displayed in the status window and for the Honshin Ki it was only registered as a skill after successfully performing the double spell.
It seemed like it would take a certain level of practice to make Infinite Chain a formal skill.
By looking at the skill tree that was connected here and there Zeke could see at a glance what he was lacking.
“It seems that the soul sealing technique can be combined with the soul-seal technique. The skill level of the soul sealing technique is too low to use it properly.”
Since I mainly practiced swordsmanship I used the soul sealing technique almost exclusively as a secondary weapon to bind the demons.
However since this is also a technique that was left behind as a legacy by Terracan Draker and is also related to his own ability Honshinki it seemed that he would be able to demonstrate a more useful ability.
Zig looked at the skill window and planned out his future training.
When I returned to Atlas I planned to focus on my training for a while to fill in the gaps.
Zig who had checked all the skill windows decided that it would be difficult to check other detailed functions here so he closed the system window for now.
‘The system structure is more complicated than I thought. It’ll take a lot of time to learn it properly.’
What bothered me was that I still didn’t know what the identity of this system was.
It was understandable that the Elder Dragon’s relics would allow him to become the administrator of the Kabbalah system but nothing of real importance was revealed.
Because I didn’t even know what the Kabbalah system was.
‘I have no idea who created this system why they created it and where they intended to use it.’
Its functions were too advanced to be considered human-made.
However it was too cumbersome to say that it was made for the dragon to use directly.
The dragon was the strongest being since birth.
They didn’t need any systems or skills like this.
Since they are beings who can perform miraculous magic at will just by breathing there is no need to go through such a cumbersome process.
Then an idea occurred to Zeke.
“Dragon was created for humans?”
Caesar said that humans are the most beloved beings of dragons.
If this system was created as part of a way for the dragon to directly become stronger for weak humans then the cumbersome methods made sense.
Zeke recalled memories from the past.
“I’m sure Terracan could see the system window. It also used the security vault.”
Given the information Zeke currently had the most plausible hypothesis was that Yong had granted administrative privileges to use the system for his contractors.
If that were true it would explain why Terrakan Drake could control defensive bases or fight giant beasts or dragons as an immortal class.
In fact it was considered to have some credibility as it was a situation where they were forcibly moved from the Ark to this place while searching for the holy relic that Terracan Draker had arranged.
“And if the being that created this system is the ‘Elder Dragon’….”
It was also because he obtained the Elder Dragon’s relic that Zeke first acquired the system.
Both Arthur Draker and the Emperor of the Empire who were exploring this ruins made every effort to find the ‘Elder Dragon’s Relic’.
It wasn’t immortality but it was somewhat understandable if it was intended to gain the system administrator abilities that Zeke possessed.
“When I first did the regression I was told that the Elder Dragon’s soul merged with mine and the system was activated.”
After putting together the fragmented information here and there I felt like I was starting to get a rough idea.
Zeke nodded and slowly got up from his seat.
“As your spiritual power increases and your soul level increases you will be able to move from a mid-level manager to a high-level manager. Then you will be able to obtain more information.”
Holding on to unresolved questions did not help much in progress.
Zik decided to do what he could first and gradually resolve his questions about the Kabbalah system.
He turned on the map to see if he could sneak out of here and use the portal.
“Oh you can open a portal. That’s great.”
It was possible to move near the Ice Mountains by spending 100 Karman Points.
I decided that it would be better to spend 100 points rather than worrying about being caught by the black stage.
Zeke unsummoned Bucephalus and immediately opened a portal.
Wooooow!
With a vibration Zig’s figure disappeared from the ruins.
