A Dragonslayer’s Peerless Regression – 158
by Hectopascal(헥토파스칼 )
Episode 158
The man standing next to Arthur Draker was Baron Draker a fierce-looking black stage master with no hair or eyebrows.
Arthur said looking across the snowfield.
“What a commotion. Have the Empire found out something?”
Then Baron said touching his gloves.
“If you had found something wouldn’t you have worked more quietly?”
Arthur nodded at Baron’s words.
It had been five years since they had explored the Ice Mountains competing with the Empire and each other in search of the Elder Dragon’s relics.
Neither the Drakes nor the Empire have had much success so far.
The Baron feeling dissatisfied with that said to Arthur.
“The wizards have deciphered the third sentence so we will see results soon.”
“I hope so. Then it would be worth enduring the sharp nagging of the standing committee and getting the budget.”
“I will do my best.”
Arthur nodded at Baron’s words then put his finger to his lips and made a sound.
Beep!
As the sound spread something descended from the sky.
Kaaaaaaah!
A wyvern with its saddle down landed in front of the camp and bowed its head silently.
Arthur leapt up onto the saddle loaded onto the wyvern’s back.
He said looking at the Baron.
“Report the results as soon as they come out.”
“All right.”
As Arthur pulled the rope the wyvern flapped its wings and flew into the sky.
Baron watched Arthur Draker fly leisurely into the sky before going back into the camp.
Zeke held his breath maintaining his silver will until Arthur’s figure on the wyvern completely disappeared.
‘I never thought the head of the household would be here.’

I remembered overhearing Duke say that he was going to empty the Four Seasons and look for the relic. But that was a long time ago.
I didn’t know you were still paying attention to this.
‘The Drakes and the Empire were fighting behind the scenes.’
It seemed that Arthur Draker had some knowledge of the relic’s true nature as he had previously stated that the Elder Dragon’s relic must never fall into the Emperor’s hands.
Zeke released his silver will and headed to the back of the camp while maintaining his stealth skill.
In Seolsan the Black Stage team was guarding the entrance with vigilance.
Zig summoned the Dragon Tooth Soldier and caught the attention of the Dark Stage crew.
Sasa sak!
Since the Dark Stage members had such good intuition even the slightest hint of a Dragon’s Aura from afar was enough to attract their attention.
Chomp!
One of the black stage crew members ran towards where they felt movement.
Zeke did not miss the moment when the Black Stage members’ attention was drawn to the Dragon’s Teeth and used his silver will once again to enter the entrance without being detected.
The black stage crew only felt the wind blowing and did not notice Zig entering the entrance.
Entering the entrance of Seolsan Mountain Zig carefully descended into the cave.
‘Is it this way?’
Because there were multiple caves it was difficult to tell which entrance was the real entrance to the ruins.
At that moment a message appeared before Zeke’s eyes.
[Elder Dragon’s Rest detects the title ‘Heir of the Terracan Drake’.]
[Detects another title.]
[Elder Dragon’s Rest detects the title ‘Blessed by the Elder Dragon’.]
[Recognize the code.]
[Code Recognition Error]
[The system user already has a Kabbalah system user authentication code.]
[Recognizes results that cannot exist in the phenomenal world.]
[We will perform new calculations for results that are outside the expected range.]
[Reverse-calculate relevant karma data from the Sephiroth dimension server.]
[Derive the emergency measure route result value of ‘Irreversible Promised Power’.]
[The system recognizes the user as a regressor.]
Zeke looked at the floating message and focused on the words he was seeing for the first time.
‘Kabbalah? Sephiroth? Dimensional servers? Karma data… What is it all?’
[Karma data is rearranged to fit the regressor’s scenario based on the new outcome values.]
[Guidance to the Kabbalah System Terminal is provided.]
[The corresponding root will be sent to the administrator system.]
Woohoo!
A map automatically appeared before Zeke’s eyes.
A map of the intricately intertwined ruins shows where the Elder Dragon’s relics are located.
Zig was confused by the system window that suddenly appeared but he quickly came to his senses.

‘First we must collect the Elder Dragon’s relics.’
Zeke followed the route shown on the map into the cave.
Although Zeke had no restrictions on entering the cave there was actually an invisible transparent barrier blocking his path.
What the wizards belonging to Draker were researching was none other than a method to remove this transparent barrier.
This was the very reason why the Emperor could not obtain the Elder Dragon’s relic in Zeke’s previous life.
A giant door appeared in front of Zig who had passed through the cave with ease.
Zig felt that the shape and size of the door was similar to the door of the ruins he had seen when he had previously searched for the relic.
The only difference was that the door had a pattern I had never seen before engraved on it.
‘What is this? A bird?’
A giant bird with its wings spread was carved in the center of the door.
The bird whose whole body seemed to be on fire seemed to be embracing the sun.
And underneath it all a familiar pattern appeared.
‘The Sun’s Emblem.’
Agamemnon’s Mask and the Ark A necklace worn by Claudia Luverne in her past memories.
Commonly the ancient sun emblem was depicted.
‘Is everything connected?’
Zeke placed his hand on the door with a questioning look and breathed mana into it.
Woohoo!
The door opened slowly without any special message as the code authentication had already been completed.
Kookookookookook!
Zeke walked into the wide open door.
As he entered magic lights on the ceiling and floor automatically turned on.
“and.”
A temple of astonishing scale unfolded before Zeke’s eyes.
From the entrance dozens of giant armored dragon statues lined up in a row.
Zeke was startled when he saw the stone statue.
‘Could these all be Guardians?’
Zeke reached out his hand toward the statue half in doubt but there was no response.
Unlike other temples it could have been an ordinary stone statue but Zig could not give up his obsession and knocked on the statue here and there examined it thoroughly with his eyes and then passed over it.
“Are they really just statues? If these were all functioning Guardians they would be a tremendous force.”
Zeke left his regret behind and entered the temple.
A huge hall appeared incomparable to other shelters or defense bases.
In my previous life I went straight to the space at the very end of the temple so I didn’t even know there was a place like this.
Zeke gaped at the hall which seemed to have enough room for dozens of giant dragons.
“Wow who the hell made this?”
It was hard to believe that such a huge structure was built on an icy mountain range that was difficult to access.
The hall was so large that it was difficult to just run through it.
Zeke summoned Bucephalus.
Heeeeeeeeeing!
Bucephalus cried happily as he looked at Zigg as if it had been a long time.
Zeke patted Bucephalus once climbed on his back and flew across the wide hall.
Bucephalus also jumped up the hundreds of stairs that were piled up in front of the hall in one go.
As I went up the stairs there was another door inside the wall with the dragon relief mural.
Zeke slowly approached the door.
Then this time the door opened by itself without me even having to exert any energy on it.
The moment he entered the space inside the door Zik felt a sense of awkwardness.
‘This is it.’
It was the room where he had found the Elder Dragon’s relic in his previous life.
Unlike the huge hall the room containing the relics was not that large.
In his previous life Zig entered this room through a crack in the broken cliff discovered the relic and took it outside.
In the middle of the room there was a staircase piled up like an altar.
Zeke stroked Bucephalus’s mane once and told him to wait before climbing up the steps to the altar.
In his previous life Zeke climbed the stairs just as he does now and found a box lying on top.
‘I thought it might have disappeared but it’s the same as before.’
A black box with no pattern whatsoever.
It wasn’t even locked.
Zeke reached out and opened the black box. The contents inside were still there.
A dark and gloomy dragon statue.
It was the relic of the Elder Dragon that led Zeke to his death and brought him back to the past.
Zeke slowly reached out and picked up the dragon statue.
Zeke expected some kind of message to appear but nothing happened.
“what?”
I put away the box containing the statue and looked around under the altar but as expected there was no response.
Zeke tilted his head.
Unlike other historic sites there was no reaction at all so it felt rather unfamiliar.
“Is it because I am already registered as an administrator?”
The relic itself was still there but I felt like its effects had already worn off.
Zig opened his inventory window to store the dragon statue.
That was when.
[The system will restart.]
[Temporary administrator mode ends.]
[The Kabbalah system’s administrator mode is activated.]
[Applying already opened features to the Kabbalah system.]
[Administrator System Manual is activated.]
In an instant a new window appeared before Zig’s eyes.
“what’s this?”
Unlike the temporary administrator window that was just text-based the new system window is displayed as an image.
Zigg looked through the categories of the newly changed admin mode.
“Status Window Shop Security Vault Quest List Inventory Equipment List Summon List….”
It was much easier to see since the system functions that Zig could use were organized so that they could be seen at a glance.
Zik clicked on the status window.

When I opened it after a long time the contents of the status window had increased a lot.
Zig clicked on each system function and checked what had changed.
Then I discovered a new list.
“Settings mode?”
It was a category I had never seen before.
Zig tried pressing the settings mode.
Then the system window changed and new lists started to appear.
―Administrator System Settings
-Defense mode setting (locked)
-Karma Data List (not available for viewing)
“Defense mode? Karma data?”
Since it was a term I was seeing for the first time it was difficult to get a feel for what it meant.
Even when I tried to click on it to check the contents it was locked and inaccessible so I couldn’t check it at all.
“Hmm I can’t open the two below. I guess I’ll have to check the administrator system settings first.”
When I clicked on the Admin System Settings new lists appeared under it.
“Let’s see. Summoner management settings Karma point management settings Management system voice recognition settings Search function settings… Wow there’s so much.”
As Zeke was going through the long list of settings something caught his eye.
“Karma Point Management Settings?”
Previously Zeke had tried to find a way to use Karma Points to strengthen Bahamut and other summons.
But no matter how much I searched the system window I couldn’t find such a function.
I was almost giving up but then I switched to the new admin mode and the related list popped up.
Zig smiled and pressed the Karma Point Management Settings.
Then the screen changed and complex numbers and pictures made of dots and lines appeared.
It was something only wizards would see.
“So is this an ability and is this a growth stat?”
At first I thought it was complicated but when I looked into it I had no problem understanding the contents.
As I was examining them one by one a message window popped up.
[Currently Karma Points are set to be distributed automatically. The point distribution can be adjusted according to the manager’s growth direction.]
“You can adjust the point distribution?”
[Would you like to simulate the distribution of points according to the manual?]
Zick said he didn’t know what a simulation was but he would give it a try.
Then the window changed again and several examples of point distribution appeared.
And after staring at the distribution simulation for over an hour Zick gritted his teeth and shouted.
“Damn it! I’ve been losing out on points distribution all this time!”
