A Dragonslayer’s Peerless Regression – 126
by Hectopascal(헥토파스칼 )
Episode 126
‘Is the shape changing?’
The color of Hersion which contains the power of Theia changed from gray to black similar to Bahamut.
The shape which was similar to a regular full plate armor was changed to fit Zeke’s body perfectly making movement more comfortable.
[Form transformation completed.]
[15 of the 28 great magic circles are activated.]
[The unique ability ‘Shield’ of the existing Yuncheol armor set is registered to ???’s armor.]
[16 magic circles out of a total of 29 magic circles are activated.]
[An authentication code is required to activate all of the armor’s functions.]
[Go to the relevant area and activate the authentication code.]
At the same time a quest window popped up.
―Achievement Quest (Advanced Mission)―
[Find the temple of the Moon Goddess Theia and obtain the authentication code. (No time limit)]
[Quest Mission Reward: Title Teia’s Blessing]
‘The blessing of Teia.’
Since Zigg had obtained the unique class Immortal through the Blessing of the Ancient Dragon the title of Goddess’ Blessing also felt attractive.
Zig checked the activation coordinates of the authentication code printed on the map.
Then he frowned.
‘This is… not the center of the Roman Empire’s capital.’
Rom the capital of the Roman Empire was home to a mad emperor.
It was possible to enter Rom since the Continental War had not yet broken out but the situation between the Draker family and the Rom Empire was slightly awkward due to the exile of Karus.
‘Still if you’re going to Rom it’d be better to go before the Continental War breaks out.’
Zeke later planned to go to Rome under the pretense of a mission.
Then Golin looked at Zig and said.
“Wow it’s amazing that the armor can transform on its own. Is it because of the influence of the energy-absorbing Yuncheol?”
Golin nodded after examining the Hersion that Zig was wearing.

“It doesn’t look like there’s a problem. How about moving?”
Zig wore Hersion and moved around.
There was none of the minor discomfort that came with having the finely divided armor plates move as the Zig moved unlike the previous version of the Mechanical Armor.
When Zeke released Hersion it returned to its original armor form.
Golin looked satisfied.
“How is it! My skills!”
Although he was eccentric he was definitely an excellent craftsman.
If his disciple Gelion was a silent craftsman his master Golin felt like a genius artist.
Zeke asked Golin to shake his hand.
“Thank you Golin.”
Golin also grabbed Zeke’s hand and shook it vigorously.
“Thanks for the great inspiration! Hurry up and go! I have to make the next piece!”
Rather than seeing Zig off Golin chased him out of the forge without even looking at him properly telling him to hurry and go.
Zeke shook his head as he looked at Golin.
‘A strange person is strange.’
He went straight down to the village and looked for Wang Jumuk.
“Wang Ju-Fist I have to go now.”
“Huh? Brother Zeke are you here already?”
“I’m busy.”
Wang Ju-Fuk made a regretful expression.
But I couldn’t stay here forever.
Although he showed his regret Wang Ju-Fuk understood Zeke’s circumstances and escorted Zeke out of the Bavarian territory.
“Brother Zeke! Come visit us again!”
Zig snickered as he watched Wang Jumuk continue to wave his hand far into the distance.
I never knew in my past life that the Barbarians who are synonymous with brutality had such innocent personalities.
Only when the King’s Fist was out of sight did Zeke look at Richmond who was following behind him and say:
“Richmond but what are you carrying behind your back?”
It was Richmond groaning and carrying a huge bundle.
“Oh these are precious monster supplies! They were hard to get because I can’t hunt but here they just rolled around and I picked them all up!”
Zeke clicked his tongue as he looked at Richmond like that.
“Can you take that to Atlas?”
“Where is Atlas?”
Zeke was reminded again that Richmond was Rich 500 years ago.
‘But since he’s a warlock I wonder if I can put him in the Atlas.’
If it were a normal summon it could be hidden in the shadows like Gurav but Richmond was a humanoid summon so it could live a normal life.
Zeke thought about it for a while and decided to leave it to the syndicate.
‘Summon it whenever you need it.’

It seemed like it would be good to use it like Nahuel usually staying in his own territory and summoning him when needed.
Zeke put the monster supplies Richmond was holding into his inventory and headed to the laboratory where Richmond originally stayed.
“Pack everything you need.”
Richmond took out all the materials he had studied for 500 years and piled them up like a mountain.
Fortunately the inventory space was expanded so I could put all the items in there with ease.
Richmond was amazed at how much inventory Zeek had to accommodate.
“This is the first time I’ve seen such spatial magic.”
“Is there anything else?”
“Yes yes. That is the answer master.”
Zeke thought that Richmond’s monster research would be helpful in dealing with the demons in the future.
Feeling somewhat proud he took Richmond out of the cave and headed down the mountain.
But then I felt a suspicious presence.
‘Those guys?’
They were none other than the imperial hunting dogs.
Zeke activated Hersion and took out Bahamut transforming his form.
“Richmond show us what you can do.”
Zeke first transformed Richmond into a demi-rich and sent him out.
Kaaaaaaah!
Richmond who let out a scream was obviously a high-ranking undead.
The hounds were startled when Demi-Lich suddenly appeared.
“It’s a monster!”
Richmond was secretly hurt by the reaction of the hunting dogs who openly called him a monster.
“Kaaaah!”
So he cast his spell more forcefully.
Kwakwakwakwang!
Richmond’s black lightning scorched the area where the hounds were.
“Damn it! That’s a Demi Lich! Get back!”
High-level undead such as a demi-lich and not even a common lich can only be dealt with if a blue knight is attached to them.
As the hounds retreated an elated Richmond blasted a black flame at them.
Kwakwakwakwang!
It was much more powerful than a normal fireball.
“Kwaaaaak!”
The hounds engulfed in Richmond’s flames fell down screaming.
Zeke passed the order to Richmond.
‘Don’t kill them all. Chase the remaining ones and find out their base.’
Richmond followed Zeke’s words and turned transparent and started chasing the hounds.
The hunting dogs that had gone deep into the mountains seemed to have set up camps here and there.
After checking out the camp through Richmond’s sight Zeke decided to infiltrate inside to test out the new Hersion’s capabilities.
‘Call the monster. Richmond.’
Richmond used magic to call the surrounding monsters towards the camp.
Krrrrrr!
Monsters reacting to Richmond’s magic began to flock towards the camp one by one.
Wow! Wow!
High-level monsters from Minotaurs to Cyclops and Ogres stormed the camp.
As Richmond became a Demi-Lich the level of monsters he could control also increased.
The hunting camp was thrown into chaos by the sudden attack of monsters.
“The monsters are coming!”
The hunting dogs and even the soldiers who had been waiting came out to block the monsters.
Even for an excellent knight dealing with high-level monsters was quite a challenge.
While Richmond was distracted by the monsters outside Zeke sneaked into the camp.
Unlike the front where there was chaos as they fought off the monsters the inside of the camp was quite quiet.
Zeke went inside while hiding.
He wanted to find traces of the ‘Rider of Blood and Madness’ who had caused Hydra to show strange signs.
Then something caught Zeke’s eye.
‘That’s…?’
A knight covered in black armor.
It was the mine I saw at the temple of the Join tribe ghetto.
The mine knights moved steadily blocking the way into the camp and standing guard.
‘What’s inside?’
Zeke called Richmond. Soon after Richmond who had been controlling the monsters came in next to Zeke.
‘Past the Richmond Knights and look inside.’
‘Huh? If those knights come running I’ll just be dead.’
‘Why are you so obsessed with the life of a rich subject? It’s okay so go.’
As a summoner I couldn’t go against my master’s words.
Richmond trembled and headed towards the mine knights.
Surprisingly however the Mine Knights showed no reaction to Richmond.
‘Huh?’
Since Richmond had absorbed the purified essence of the ‘Rider of Blood and Madness’ it seemed that the Mines did not consider him an enemy.
Zick let Richmond go further in and then looked inside the camp with his eyes.
Unlike other makeshift camps this one seemed to have been built with considerable care and dedication.
Then Zeke sensed something strange at the end of the hallway.
‘The black door at the end of that hallway in Richmond. Go through there.’
Richmond became a spirit and passed through the wall and into the black door.
Zeke looked into the room through his eyes and was startled.
‘That’s?’
Surprisingly several artifacts with a similar aura to the staff that contained the essence of the ‘Rider of Blood and Madness’ were placed on the table.
‘Take a look around Richmond’s room.’
As Richmond looked around the room following Zeke’s instructions he discovered a map stuck to the wall.
‘I have a map sir.’
The map showed the Giant Mountains with markings all over the place.
Zig marked the coordinates on the map.
Then Zeke could see that the largest marked spot was the cave where the Hydra was.
‘So does that mean all those signs are places where artifacts imbued with demonic power have been installed?’
Zeke realized why monsters were rampant in the Giant Mountains and why the guard towers in the Barbarian territory were malfunctioning.
Problems arose when various parts of the mountain range were eroded by magic due to artifacts imbued with demonic power.
Zeke thought of the castle of Agamemnon that had been eroded by magic.
‘That almost happened here too.’
Since Zeke had purified all the areas eroded by magic through the Great Purification all the artifacts imbued with demonic power had lost their power.
It was only then that I realized that the reason the hounds had appeared throughout the mountain range was to collect artifacts that had lost their power.
‘Can you bring me those artifacts on Richmond’s table?’
Richmond shook his head.
‘If I lift that I won’t be able to pass through the wall.’
Zik sat up after thinking about it.
It was necessary to collect those artifacts even if it meant causing a commotion.
‘Richmond when I break this place take them and get out of here.’
‘Oh I understand!’
At that moment Zeke immediately came out of hiding and rushed at the mine knights.
Pachin!
The Mine Knights suddenly blasted their magical energy at Zeke who had rushed at them.
Woohoo!
A blade of purification erupted from Zeke’s sword.
Tsk tsk tsk―
The blade of purification cut through not only Magi but also Mine’s body in one go.
That was when.
Beep beep beep beep
The sound of the horn echoed throughout the camp.
Soon the knights of the empire would rush in and the hounds would spread their nets.
Zeke aimed his sword straight at the black door.
Wooooow!
He swung his sword with all his might determined to break the spell.
Kwakwakwakwakwang!
The sword strike containing the will of the wave blew away not only the black door but also the surrounding walls.
Zig saw Richmond take the artifacts and swung his sword again.
Kwakwakwakwang!
A hole was created leading to the outside.
He ran quickly and conveyed his message to Richmond.
‘Richmond! Transform into a demon!’
At Zeke’s words Richmond transformed into a dragon-shaped demon.
Keeeeek!
Richmond now a Draco Lich spread his wings and took flight.
Zeke jumped up behind Richmond.
Kieeeek!
Richmond screamed like a monster.
Soon the hounds were shooting arrows and the knights were throwing spears at Zig who was riding Richmond.
Pachin!
However the arrows and even the spear bounced off the shield built into Zeke’s armor.
Zeke aimed his sword at the camp from the air.
Then he unleashed the ‘pure fire’ he had learned from working with Golin and hurled it towards the camp.
Whoosh whoosh!
As pure fire the essence of fire fell like a shower the hunting dogs and knights in the camp were startled and began to escape the place.
But I couldn’t get out properly because I was blocked by monsters rushing in from the front and back.
Zeke breathed his will into the fire causing it to burn only around the camp.
‘At this point I don’t know who attacked me.’
He put the artifacts Richmond had brought into his inventory and immediately left the Giant Mountains.
The place where the camp was was filled with the screams of the imperial army unable to move due to the blazing fire and monster attacks.

A few days later Zeke appeared in front of the gate of Sagyeseong Castle covered in dirt.
