A Dragonslayer’s Peerless Regression – 124
by Hectopascal(헥토파스칼 )
Episode 124
Gorlin’s eyes widened as he saw Orichalcum the metal of the gods.
When Zeke released Hersion Golin panicked and started making a fuss.
“Oh Orichalcum! Hand me over the Orichalcum!”
Seeing the chaotic Golin Zeke spoke in a firm voice.
“Would you like to try handling Orichalcum?”
“Of course! Besides I’m probably the only craftsman in the world who can handle the metal of the gods!”
It was an arrogant statement but it wasn’t wrong.
Even Gelion the craftsman of souls had difficulty handling Hersion who was made of Orichalcum.
But as soon as Golin saw Hersion his eyes turned bloodshot and he ran towards him.
Zeke said to Golin.
“If you will listen to me I will entrust you with the repair of this Hersion.”
It was an unheard of request method where they didn’t ask for repairs but instead promised to do the repairs if they listened well.
But surprisingly Golin became noticeably calmer after hearing Zeke’s words.
“Hmm… Okay. Let’s go inside first.”
Golin took Zeke into the forge.
The inside surprisingly looked like an ordinary blacksmith shop.
Except that on one side there is a mountain of failed works.
‘I see why you are Gellion’s teacher.’
Gellion also had a habit of piling up his failed works on one side like a mountain.
Golin brought over a glass of beer filled to the brim with a rustic-looking cup.
“This is Golin’s special handmade beer that two people can drink together without even realizing it if one dies.”
Zeke took a sip of the beer that Golin handed him.
As he said it was a really aromatic beer.
“This is a delicious beer.”
At those words Golin smiled with satisfaction.

Golin chugged the beer down in one go and then came back with the entire keg.
Since dwarves and beer are inseparable it seems that even when they came to the Barbarian territory they brewed their own beer.
After drinking all of his beer Zeke felt a magical aura coming from the mug he was holding.
‘What is this?’
Surprisingly the rustic-looking beer mug had temperature-regulating magic.
Golin chuckled as Zeke noticed the magic on the beer mug.
“This thing really brings out the flavor of beer. You have a better eye for detail than I thought.”
Golin continued speaking taking a sip of his beer.
“By the way this is the real Orichalcum Hersion. A knight from the Empire? He must be of some ordinary rank. Even I have never imagined such a thing.”
Zeke shook his head.
“No. My name is Zeke Draker.”
At those words Golin spit out the beer he was drinking.
“Dr. Drake?”
Only then did Golin notice the pureblood Awakener’s gloves that Zeke was wearing.
Golin who had placed a glass of beer next to him examined Zig’s every detail.
“The pureblood Awakened of Draker possesses the Orichalcum Hersion.”
The Roman Empire’s Hersion production technology is treated as a top secret.
The Holy Kingdom also produces Hersion but it is not as good as the Roman Empire’s.
There was one exception however the silver armor given to Kali Draker by the Holy Kingdom.
That armor was also a type of Hersion and was made entirely of mithril so its performance was superior to that of regular Hersion.
It’s not for nothing that they say that a single piece of silver armor costs the equivalent of a year’s worth of money to run a big city.
Zeke spoke to Golin who was looking at him suspiciously.
“This is an artifact discovered at an ancient ruins site.”
“You found this new artifact at the ruins?”
He nodded.
It was Zeke who lied so naturally.
There is no way that a Hersion of this size could have been unearthed so quietly. Even if it were possible it would have been possible only for a lord not a common knight of the Drakers.
But Golin didn’t pay attention to Zig’s words.
“Well that aside. Are you saying you’re going to repair this Hersion?”
“Yes. Since it is an ancient object that is very old the magic circle hanging on it is not activated properly.”
“It’s a magic circle. If it’s something like that you could probably cast five or six 3-circle magic spells on it.”
Zig shook his head at Golin’s words.
“There are twenty-eight great magic circles hanging but only three are active.”
At Zeke’s words Golin spat out the beer he was drinking again.
“How many?”
“I said twenty-eight.”
“Twenty-eight great magic circles?”

Golin shook his head in disbelief.
“That’s ridiculous… No no. If it’s the metal of the gods Orichalcum then maybe we can overlap the circuits and make it more densely wrought…?”
Zeke clapped his hands at Golin who was trapped in his own world.
“Oh! Okay. Can you show me that Hehersion?”
Zeke said with a determined expression.
“First please write a confirmation letter to send to the Guild Federation. The request will follow.”
Golin quickly wrote the confirmation letter eager to quickly touch the unimaginable new water.
<I’m alive. Don’t look for me it’s annoying. – Golin Jovern>
It was Golin who had clearly marked his own territory.
Zig kept the confirmation slip safely in his inventory.
Meanwhile Golin whose eyes were wide open waited for Zig to take out Hersion.
Zik took out the armor he was wearing and handed it to Golin.
“Ohhh!”
Golin carefully took the armor and carried it to his workbench.
Then he put on a magnifying glass and examined various parts of the armor.
And then he made all sorts of noises.
“This! This is ridiculous… This is possible! Huh… This is crazy. This is crazy.”
After examining the armor for an hour with admiration and sighs Golin took off his magnifying glass and spoke to Zeke.
“Can you activate this?”
Zeke ordered the system to activate Hersion.
Clang!
Hersion changed from a back plate armor form to a full plate armor form.
Golin looked at Hersion’s face again with admiration.
Zeke who was looking at such a golrin started to feel slightly bored.
‘I think it’ll take a few hours this time.’
While Golin was examining Hersion Zeke decided to check the random box he received as a reward and organize his points.
Zig went out of the blacksmith shop and opened his inventory where he defeated the Hydra and opened the three random boxes he received.
thud!
Three items appeared in front of Zig.
‘What is this?’
An old mace a cloak and an old book were found.
Zik checked the information on the items.
-Mace Information-
Description: A sacred mace imbued with the power of light created during the reign of the Luverne Dynasty.
Unique Ability: Punishment of Light (Effect only applies when hitting)
Special: Deals 3x damage when used on undead and demons.
– Cloak Information –
Description: A cloak that changes the shape of the person wearing it.
Unique Ability: Perception Transformation
Special note: It does not change the appearance itself but rather changes the perception of others so the substance does not change.
―Book Information―
Description: The second part of a magic book containing the magic of light that has been passed down since before the Luverne Dynasty.
Unique Ability: Magic Inheritance
Special: Knowledge is automatically transferred to the Luverne Bloodline Successor who has mastered the magic of light.
Zeke looked at the mace and the magic book and was troubled.
“The magic of light? A magic that only the successors of the Luverne bloodline can learn. How fascinating.”
The crown of the Luverne Dynasty that was taken from Richmond also had the unique abilities of the Light’s Hammer and Light’s Shield.
And although he was a Ziggy who couldn’t use magic he could obtain it as a skill and use it freely through the system.
But since there was no explanation about it being a bloodline successor at that time it seems like it can’t be used like a crown this time.
“Hmm by the way following the Yuncheol series is this the Luverne series? I wonder what the Luverne Dynasty has.”
As far as Zeke remembers the Luverne Dynasty was the predecessor to the Holy Empire.
They expanded their territory by sending forward armed knights with strong religious beliefs.
What had been nothing more than a small state the Luverne Dynasty soon expanded into a vast empire which became the foundation of the Holy Empire.
The King of Luverne became the first Emperor of the Holy Empire but after two generations the royal power was ceded to the papacy and the Luverne bloodlines were executed or driven into exile.
The throne of the Emperor was changed to one from the Electoral family by vote of the Senate.
‘The fact that these items from the Luverne Dynasty keep coming out means that there must be something there.’
Zeke opened the magic book of light made of hardcover.
Then a message came to mind.
―Main Quest Mission―
[Return the second half of the lost magic book to the one who inherited the magic of light among the bloodline of Luverne. (No time limit)]
[Quest Mission Reward: Acquire the title Knight of Light and acquire the skill Holy Flame]
‘Main quest?’
The main quest that had been absent for a while suddenly came to mind. It seemed that if you found a use for it instead of him being able to use it you would receive a reward.
Zik was troubled as he read the mission details.
“A blood relative of the Luverne Dynasty? How can you possibly find a royal family that disappeared hundreds of years ago?”
Zeke put the Bible and the mace into his inventory.
I was thinking of searching through the syndicate’s information network later and if that didn’t work I would give up.
Zig muttered as he picked up the remaining items.
“A cloak that transforms perception.”
Zeke just put on his cloak.
Then a message came to mind.
[Think about the image you want to transform.]
‘Change into what.’
After thinking about it for a moment Zeke thought of Caesar.
Woohoo!
In an instant the cloak rippled and light enveloped his body.
Zeke examined his appearance.
“What? I don’t really know what’s changed…”
Just then the blacksmith’s door slammed open and Golin jumped out.
“This is! Incredible! No it’s so incredible that words like that aren’t enough…! Huh? What’s going on? Where did that Draker guy go and is that unlucky elf-faced guy here?”
Golin didn’t recognize Zeke even when he saw him. Seeing that Zeke asked Golin.
“What color do my eyes look like now?”
Then Golin frowned and said.
“Where did you get that unlucky face! Get out of here right now!”
Ziggy has unlocked the cognitive transformation.
Then it returned to its original form.
Golin who was watching the scene in real time was shocked.
“What the heck is that! Is it magic?”
Zeke nodded.
“It’s similar. What was the color of my eyes like when I changed earlier?”
“Gollin clicked his tongue and said
“It was a droopy sky blue. Hey you’re unlucky don’t make that face again.”
Zeke confirmed that he had properly transformed into the form of Caesar he had imagined.
He followed Golin into the forge with a happy heart.
Golin said looking at Hersion.
“Do you know what this is?”
“No. Actually I don’t know.”
Golin said with a sly smile.
“This is a sacred water imbued with the power of the constellations.”
“When you say the power of the constellations are you talking about something like the thirteen signs of the empire?”
Zig recalled the Hersion worn by Morgan Buffon a knight of the Order of the Four Guardians.
Hersion imbued with the power of the Sagittarius constellation was on a different level from the ordinary Hersion.
Golin nodded.
“You must understand quickly now that you know. This is a divine being that is far more incredible than the thirteen constellations.”
“A constellation other than the thirteen zodiac signs… No way?”
Golin chuckled.
“Yes. This is a sacred item imbued with the power of Theia the goddess of the moon.”
The goddess worshipped by the thirteen constellations of the zodiac.
Theia goddess of the moon.
Zeke was surprised to hear that the Hersion that Cain had was a sacred water imbued with the power of Theia.
“The power of Theia… Are you saying that it contains the power of the moon goddess?”
Golin nodded.
“The Great Magic Circle is amazing but compared to the power of the Moon Goddess it’s like a firefly in front of the moon.”
The moon goddess whose power rivaled that of the sun god was the ruler of the shadow world.
If the sun god dealt with the primordial light the moon goddess dealt with the primordial shadow.
The thirteen constellations of the zodiac were far from her power.
When Zeke was momentarily dazed by the unexpected identity Golin spoke.
“And… there’s good news and bad news.”
“What’s the bad news?”
Then Golin clicked his tongue and said.
“Usually don’t you want to hear good news first?”
“It’s not me.”
“Just listen. The good news is that it is possible to fix this.”
“What’s the bad news?”
“Gollin said scratching his head.
“There are two problems.”
He went back and came out holding something.
There was a silver ore attached to a small stone.
“What is this?”
“It’s called uncheol. It’s a metal that comes from rocks that fell from the sky so it’s hard to obtain.”
When he heard that it was hard to get Zigg thought of the Uncheol armor series.
‘Was luck that precious?’
I didn’t realize it was that precious because it came out as soon as I opened the random box.
Golin said with a sigh.
“It would take a lot of luck to repair that.”
“How much is it if it’s really that much?”
“Gollin clicked his tongue and said
“Well maybe ten ingots?”
After hearing Golin’s words Zeke thought about it for a moment then turned around and pretended to search through his bag taking out the Yuncheol armor set from his inventory.
clattering.
A full set of Yuncheol armor fell in front of Golin.
“Is this okay?”
Golin opened his mouth wide as he saw Zig take out his iron armor without a care.
