A Dragonslayer’s Peerless Regression – 101
by Hectopascal(헥토파스칼 )
Episode 101
Surprisingly Yellin’s ears were long and pointed.
‘The Ishtar family is an elven race?’
I had never heard even in my previous life that the Ishtar family was descendants of the elven race.
Looking closely only a few people including Gaju and Yellin had pointy ears.
In his previous life Zeke had a colleague from the Ishtar family.
Through him the Ishtar family also knew that like the Drakers they valued purebloods and that those with the mark of pureblood would have greater power and could rise to important positions in the family.
Now I think I know what the mark of a pureblood he was talking about was.
At that moment the owner of the house Jamilla Ishtar clapped her hands the door opened and a huge oxcart was brought in on a cart.
The servants placed the fresh vegetables in the middle of the round table.
Inside an unidentifiable red broth was boiling like lava.
I smelled the rising steam and it felt incredibly spicy.
‘What is this?’
The food I had eaten earlier was definitely bland but the dinner food was so spicy that it was hard to handle.
Karus next to him had already turned pale just from the spicy air he felt.
While Zig inspected the food the servants placed the utensils in front of them and carefully poured the red soup and garnishes from the freshwater into the bowls.
Jamilla spoke again.
“Today is a day of joy permitted by the law. Let us all enjoy the heavenly taste given by the God of the Earth.”
At Jamilla’s words the Ishtar family members began to eat the red soup and garnishes with expressions full of anticipation.
“Hoo! Hoo!”
“Use it!”
Everyone was sweating as they ate the soup in a daze their faces still flushed.
Zeke and Karus looked at them with strange expressions.
Then Yellin who was next to him pretended to eat as if telling Zeke to hurry up and eat.
As Zeke nodded with his spoon in his hand she also ate her red soup with a satisfied expression on her face.
Zeke looked at the soup with the suspicious oil floating on it and out of courtesy to the customer he scooped up a spoonful and put it in his mouth.

‘Huh!’
It felt like my mouth and throat were burning.
The people of Ishtar saw Zig who was speechless due to the shock of the spicy taste he was experiencing for the first time and thought that he was savoring the taste.
Zeke closed his eyes and quickly concentrated on his healing factor.
‘Get better soon. Get better.’
Fortunately the healing factor worked even with spicy food.
When Zeke opened his eyes Ezugi who was next to him looked at him with a surprised expression.
“Are you okay?”
This soup was loaded with ‘reaper peppers’.
In Ishtar reaper pepper was called the blessing of the earth god but in other regions it was called the devil’s spice.
Zeke nodded with an indifferent expression as he looked at Ezugi and Yellin with curious faces.
“This is a dish with great flavor and savory taste. It seems to be a dish that shows the long tradition and history of the Ishtar family.”
At those words all of the Ishtar family nodded in admiration.
“You are blessed by the god of the earth.”
“He is a young man who knows how to properly taste spicy food.”
“Excellent.”
Ezugi said in admiration at Zeke’s words.
“Wow that’s amazing. If we look at past records outsiders were rude enough to eat this blessed food….”
“Keuk! Jeez Jeek. This is it! It’s poison!”
Ezugi said this while looking at Karus who was holding his throat after eating the soup with a pitiful look on his face.
“It was recorded that he reacted like that.”
Zeke took out the potion without saying anything and poured it into Karus’ mouth.
It took Karus a long time to rinse his mouth with the potion before he could finally come to his senses.
“Huk huk ji jik… I almost died.”
Seeing Carus trembling at the sight of the red soup Zeke took a deep breath and took another sip of the soup.
A tingling sensation numbed my tongue mouth and throat.
‘Why on earth are you eating this?’
Still in order to win her favor Zeke continued eating the soup.
If it weren’t for the healing factor my throat would have already been swollen and sore.
Zik who had become somewhat accustomed to spicy food decided to put a stop to it.
“What is this spicy thing? Do you have any more?”
Then the owner of the house Jamilla said in surprise.
“I’ve never seen an outsider enjoy the taste of reaper peppers before. Listen. Bring more reaper peppers to Sir Zeke.”
The attendant brought a bottle containing red powder in front of Zig.
That tiny bottle the size of a palm was worth as much as a lump of gold.
Zeek added a lot of ripper peppers to his soup.
The horribly red soup turned even redder.

The Ishtar family members who saw that looked at Zig with proud expressions.
Zig who had emptied the hellish soup that was spicier than the Ishtar people wiped his mouth with a napkin with a satisfied expression.
“It was a truly wonderful dinner my lord.”
At Zeke’s words Jamilla also nodded with a satisfied face and smiled.
“You are a wonderful person in many ways Sir Zeke. Except for the fact that you are a Drake you are perfect.”
I thought that the only place that could so openly disparage Drake was the Ishtar family.
As the servants loaded the emptied teapot onto a cart tea with a clear and refreshing scent came out.
This time Zik drank the tea sparingly savoring each sip with all his heart.
Then the head of the household spoke to Zeke.
“So Sir Zeke when are you planning on getting married to Yellin?”
At those words Zig almost spit out the tea in his mouth.
‘Wedding? What wedding?’
Zeke concentrated all his mind and reviewed his actions to understand Jamilla Ishtar’s words.
‘I have not heard anything about marriage in the laws of Ishtar.’
Then suddenly Yellin jumped up from her seat.
Then without saying a word he protested to Jamilla fiercely using gestures and footsteps to say no.
Gaju said as he looked at the rebellious Yellin.
“Yelin! Do you intend to break the law? You were the one who said you would marry the man who could defeat you! As the legitimate successor of Ishtar act in a way that is not shameful!”
Zeke overheard the conversation between the two and roughly figured out what was going on.
‘Damn so this wasn’t just a place to welcome me as a guest but a place to test my son-in-law.’
Even Yellin was the direct successor to the House of Ishtar.
Zeke felt something was wrong.
The closed Ishtar family in order to prevent the leakage of secret arts makes all outsiders without exception members of the family when a member of the family marries an outsider.
This was the reason why the Ishtar family remained a mysterious family for a long time.
As Yellin’s silent resistance grew more intense Jamilla also began to raise her voice.
Zeke slowly got up from his seat thinking that if things continued like this he might not be able to use the portal at all.
“May I despite my rudeness say something to your lord?”
Among the Ishtar family Zik’s popularity was currently very high.
Only then did Jamilla truly nod at Zeke.
“I’m sorry for making you look so ugly in front of your guests.”
Zeke spoke to the head of the household.
“Your Majesty would you please postpone my wedding with Yellin for a while?”
Jamilla’s eyebrows quirked at those words.
No matter how much affection she shows she is the head of the Ishtar family which terrifies the entire continent.
A person like Zeke could be quietly eliminated from here with just a word.
Zeke spoke to Jamilla in a calm voice.
“It’s not that I won’t get married. If I want to become a member of the House of Ishtar there are walls I too must overcome.”
At those words Jamilla as well as the other elders of House Ishtar realized what was meant by the request to postpone the wedding.
The fact that Zeke is none other than a Draker and a pure-blooded Draker at that.
If Zeke a pure-blooded Draker were to become the son-in-law of the Ishtar family it was obvious that Arthur Draker the head of the Draker family would never stay still.
There was a strange tension among the Ishtar family members who were thinking about Arthur Draker.
Then Jamilla asked Zeke.
“Are you asking Arthur Draker directly for permission to marry?”
Zeke nodded.
“It won’t be easy but I will definitely try.”
Jamilla thought deeply about those words then sighed deeply and said.
“It is harder to marry off a daughter than to destroy a kingdom.”
Zeke spoke to Jamilla like that.
“If you open a portal to the Central Continent I will go straight to the Four Seasons Castle explain the details to you and receive permission for the wedding.”
In any case it was important to get to the Central Continent quickly.
Jamilla nodded after hearing Zeke’s words.
“Well done Sir Zeke. I am very pleased with the way you risk your life to win love! You are a worthy example to the young warriors of Ishtar.”
‘What is this?’
Jamilla continued.
“You have two years to spare so you must somehow convince Arthur Draker during that time. Otherwise the ravens of Ishtar will come for you.”
‘shit.’
It seemed that Gaju had no intention of letting this wedding story end quietly.
Zik calculated from several angles.
In two years he would be several times stronger than he is now.
At that level even Ishtar’s assassins could have been stopped.
Zeke spoke to Jamilla with confidence in his voice.
“Please leave it to me my lord.”
At Zeke’s confident answer Jamilla and the other elders nodded with satisfaction.
Only Yellin who was behind him looked at Zeke with an expression that seemed to indicate that he was not sure what was going on.
The Ishtar family had a fiery temperament.
As soon as the dinner was over they decided to open a portal for Zeke and his party.
Only Zeke and Karus took the portal while Simon and Boris decided to stay here and then head back south.
Although Ishtar’s portal terminal was small in size its facilities were no less than those of the Central Continent terminal.
However the Ishtar-exclusive portal was unique in that it did not require a shuttle but required standing directly on the magic circle and waiting for the portal to activate.
Karus looked around the Ishtar House Portal as if it was a strange sight.
At that moment Yellin and Ezugi approached the magic circle.
Ezugi stepped forward and spoke to Zeke.
“Sir Zeke Draker you must heed the words of your lord. Ishtar never speaks in vain.”
He told me to get permission to get married within two years.
Zeke nodded.
Then he greeted Yellin.
“Thank you for your help Yelin Ishtar.”
Yellin thought about something and then approached Zeke.
Then he grabbed Zeke’s wrist and wrote something on his palm.
<I’m sorry things have turned out this way Sir Zeke. The wedding wasn’t my idea.>
Zig nodded understanding the words and answered in a whisper.
“I understand. It seems like you Yellin have no intention of getting married.”
<I will dedicate my life to martial arts.>
Zeke nodded.
“I respect Yellin’s wishes.”
Yellin looked slightly shocked at those words.
Because Zeke was the first person who had taken his words so seriously.
Woohoo!
At that time the portal started operating.
Yellin tried to write something on Zeke’s hand then folded his hand and turned away.
Ezugi shot another word at Zeke and Karus.
“I believe you know what will happen if you mention Ishtar to the outside world!”
At Ezugi’s words Karus sniffled and Zeke nodded as if telling him not to worry.
As the two stepped away from the magic circle the portal slowly began to operate.
The portal’s destination was the Panstars Terminal.
Zig put on his helmet of iron armor and took a deep breath.
Woohoo!
As the portal opened Zeke and Karus were enveloped in light.
Ddddddddd!
Zeke and Karus felt like they were being sucked into a vortex of unknown depth.
My head was spinning.
Hwaaaaak!
My eyes became bright again.
Zeke opened his eyes first.
As I looked around I noticed a central continent-style terminal structure not an Ishtar.
Looking to the side I saw Karus vomiting on the magic circle as if he was motion sick.
“Whew!”
As Zeke watched Karus who was in the middle of vomiting he suddenly sensed an ominous energy around the shuttle.
‘What is this?’
At that moment the knights who had been hiding in the shuttle appeared.
And in the middle of it all was a knight in Draker’s uniform.
A mad knight with red hair.
It was Abel Draker.
