    Chapter Index

Even though it was a weekday, the hallways of Harmony Hospital’s inpatient unit were packed.

As a famous surgical hospital in F city and even in the whole country, many people come from far and wide to use this place as their last resort.

The noisy corridor was as lively as a food market.

“Coming through, coming through.” Jiang Xia struggled to squeeze through the noisy crowd and let out a long breath.

She has to tell Mr. Cheng Yu about Ran Hengjia’s plot so that he can prepare for it.

At this point, it was a full two months before she could submit her resume to the hospital without being recognized by anyone else.

She stood in front of the door to Ward 310, which, unlike those crowded places, seemed to have been left unattended in a corner.

“Which one of you?” A cold voice came from behind Jiang Xia, startling her into a cold sweat.

Behind her stood a female nurse, wearing glasses and about her age, clutching her chart and with hostility in her eyes.

“Me? Of course I’m here to visit Mr. Cheng Yu…”

“Your name is not on the permission list, no one is allowed to visit without permission, please go back.” The tone of the nurse with the glasses was still cold.

“Then ask for a contact for me, or pass on a message that it’s urgent…”

    “No. Please leave immediately.”

Jiang Xia was very strange, nurses are polite to family members and patients is the basic common sense of etiquette, she has also been adhering to these rules since she entered the hospital, how come she is so disrespectful.

Outside of her duties, a little bit of her temper flared up.

“Hey I’m just wondering, I’m here to visit a patient not a prison, is the person living here a patient or a prisoner? Who made up the rule about not being allowed in?”

However, the nurse wearing glasses did not pay the slightest attention to the aggressive Jiang Xia as she blocked in front of the 310 door like a silent stone statue.

“It’s the head nurse’s rules, so please leave.”

“Fine, fine, head nurse right.” Jiang Xia thought for a second that in this timeline, Sister Qing had never seen her anyway and wouldn’t reveal anything about her identity.

“Call Liu Ziqing here, I want to ask her myself.”

The nurse with the glasses glanced at her like she was a psychopath.

“I’m just following the rules, so please don’t make a fuss over nothing.”

Seeing that the two of them were at swords drawn, a gentle voice suddenly came from behind Jiang Xia.

“It’s not good for your health to get up early in the morning and get on fire, Han.”

Haru’s hair was wet, as if she’d been caught in the rain.

    “Sister Qing you’re finally back…”

Xiao Han changed his attitude of rejecting people just a moment ago and said in a resigned manner.

“You made it a rule that patients in room 310 can’t visit as they please, and I…I was just following the rules, and she just kept threatening me and saying that you…”

Jiang Xia did not think that this little girl is not very young, but very good at reversing black and white, was about to open her mouth to refute, but Sister Qing interrupted her to rebuke.

“The rules are dead people are alive, I am afraid of accidents, you don’t look at who is coming, pig brain won’t change ah.”

Haru turned around and held Jiang Xia’s hand.

“Aiya, I’m really sorry, why didn’t you tell me earlier that you were coming, I didn’t prepare anything on my side…”

Sister Qing’s tone directly confused Jiang Xia with her question.

Yes, Haru has always been a gentle person, but to be so respectful all of a sudden, not to mention the fact that she seems to have used the word “you” as her subject?

“There’s no need there’s no need Sister Qing, I just came to see Cheng Yu…”

“Aiya what do you call Sister Qing ah, just call Xiao Qing.” Her compensatory smile made Jiang Xia uncomfortable.

Sister Qing reprimanded the nurse who wore glasses for not knowing anything, and didn’t hurry to prepare some tea, Jiang Xia persuaded her before she gave up.

Upon opening the door, a scent of lavender accompanied by a gentle breeze hit my face, and the familiar figure was sitting in front of the bed, leaning against it and reading a book.

“I want to be alone with him for a while.” Jiang Xia closed the door after making an excuse to support Sister Qing.

“I’m not going the wrong way, am I?”

She paced slowly, somewhat incredulous.310 Ward 310 wasn’t as cluttered as she remembered.

There is no pungent smell of smoke, the window is half covered, the pattering rain drifts in through the gauze window, the breeze blows Cheng Yu’s face, and his spirits are much better.

Undisturbed by anyone, Mr. Cheng Yu seems to be intoxicated by his books.

Jiang Xia didn’t even feel too good about breaking the atmosphere of the years, but she had to say it.

Whether it was Sister Qing who took care of him, or Ran Hengjia who was entrusted with his care, all of them had ulterior motives, and all of them were not to be trusted, and he had to make preparations as early as possible to get out of the desperate situation he would be in in two months’ time.

However, the words came out somewhat unspeakable, and Jiang Xia stiffly popped a few words out of his mouth.

    “Good…morning…reading a book…”

Seeing Cheng Yu glancing up at her, Jiang Xia’s hanging heart relaxed, she was about to tell him her plan, but she noticed something strange in Cheng Yu’s eyes.

A flicker of shock swept across his eyes, followed by a tidal wave of anger, causing him to look extremely disgusted.

    “What brings you here?”

Ahhhh? Jiang Xia was a bit confused, but she quickly calmed down, although she had returned to the original timeline, but after all, it was Mr. Cheng Yu who had asked her to come here, so maybe he would have some memories across the timeline or something.

“Me? I didn’t come here because I was worried about you…”

“Aren’t you dead? How can you be alive when I watched you die? If you’ve been alive like the rumors say, how could you have let me be at the mercy of the others while I was unconscious!”

Ah? Faced with such a large series of questions from Mr. Cheng Yu, Jiang Xia was completely puzzled.

Is it hard to believe that he’s been in an abnormal mental state since this time?

“You’re the one who jumped to your death…”

“Scram! Get the hell out of here, I don’t want to see you again!” A simple and familiar command, Jiang Xia didn’t wait for the rest of his words to come out before he obediently slipped out and closed the door.

“Same ghostly appearance as before…” sighed Jiang Xia as she leaned against the door, her illusions that Cheng Yu was all friendly once again shattered.

Why would she help such a person if she hadn’t been blindsided for no reason?

Sister Haru was standing in the doorway, and she seemed to have been listening for a long time, with an expression of anticipation.

    “He’s still impatient with you.”

    “Yeah, same old same old.”

“Why, he’s been through too many changes lately, why don’t you wait over here for a while, have a meal and rest or something, our hospital cafeteria is pretty good, and then I’ll do some thinking for him in the afternoon.”

“No, no need… I just stopped by to visit…” Jiang Xia was a bit weak, and she couldn’t understand why Sister Qing was so enthusiastic.

“Aiya, why are you being so polite? It’s normal to have conflicts. It’s just a bedside quarrel…”

Jiang Xia nicely left aside the overly enthusiastic Sister Qing and left this place of wrongdoing.

Looking at her distant back, Sister Qing quickly curtailed her enthusiasm and turned to ask the nurse with glasses in a lowered voice.

“Did you listen to the recording of their conversation earlier? Did she reveal anything broken.”

    Han shook his head.

“Sure is a veteran.” Sister Qing gritted her teeth and said viciously.

    She then dialed the phone.

“Hello? Yes, that woman is back, she really isn’t dead, and I don’t know what she’s up to, anyway, she just left the hospital, so you guys hurry up and keep an eye on her.”

After eating the closed door, Jiang Xia’s mood was no better.
