    584 (Part 2)

It had been a while since I last saw him as he had been busy with work.

I was about to say something in excitement.

    “Young Master.”

    “Yeah?”

“…Is that by any chance the young lady?”

I was taken aback. We hadn’t seen each other in a long time and instead of asking how I had been he jumped straight to the point.

I felt a bit disappointed but it also seemed very much like Moyong Hia.

    “This?”

As I lightly kicked it with my foot Moyong Hia nodded.

    “Probably.”

    “…”

I wasn’t entirely sure since he didn’t ask if it was me.

But judging by the state of things it must be me.

Was it because I confirmed it?

I could see Moyong Hia’s eyes gradually shaking.

“Then… why is the young lady like that?”

“I think she was trying to escape so I knocked her out.”

“You hit her? Knowing who she is?”

“I didn’t hit her hard; it was just a light tap.”

I had controlled it enough that she wouldn’t suffer any harm.

If I hadn’t controlled it her head would have probably cracked open.

As I spoke nonchalantly Moyong Hia held her forehead as if she was feeling a headache.

It seemed that touching the bloodline of the North Sea was quite a serious issue.

    “…Ugh.”

Even while thinking about all that Moyong Hia couldn’t say much to me.

    That was only natural.

“If that’s the case you shouldn’t have let her go in the first place.”

The fact that she let the young lady slip away was already a problem.

“From the looks of it it seems Moyong Hia was with her.”

    I hadn’t heard the details but I had a feeling I understood.

That Moyong Hia was part of the group that brought the young lady here.

“Was that the task that Lady Mi sent?”

I had wondered why she had sent her so far away but it seemed this was the reason.

Understanding that made me feel quite uneasy.

“Did Lady Mi intend to use Moyong Hia’s North Sea bloodline?”

I felt I understood why Lady Mi had sent Moyong Hia.

Since the other party was of the North Sea bloodline she must have thought sending Moyong Hia would be more helpful.

It was a somewhat rational reason but the fact that Lady Mi had used Moyong Hia remained unchanged.

That didn’t sit well with me.

Of course I wouldn’t bring it up.

Moyong Hia probably knew more about this than I did.

The fact that she went along with it meant she had accepted it herself.

It wasn’t something I needed to meddle in.

I reached out and released my qi.

Boom-! The young lady’s body floated up.

I then swiftly threw her towards Moyong Hia.

    “…!”

Moyong Hia was startled and caught the young lady’s body.

“Young Master…! What are you doing throwing her like that!”

“It’s uncomfortable to touch someone else’s body.”

It wasn’t that I was uncomfortable touching a woman’s body.

I was uncomfortable touching her body.

Moyong Hia looked at me with a bewildered expression upon hearing that.

“Are you crazy…? You use psychokinesis for that reason?”

The application of qi that could only be used when reaching a certain level.

It seemed absurd to her that I would use it just because I didn’t want to touch someone else’s body.

How I used it was my own business.

What did it matter how I used it? As long as it was convenient for me.

“Enough with the nagging; just take her. We’ll talk later.”

Waving my hand dismissively Moyong Hia looked puzzled.

“Talk later? Aren’t you coming with us?”

Her asking if I wasn’t going meant she knew I was involved in this matter.

I was curious about what exactly I was entangled in.

“I still have things to do. I’ll be there soon so you go ahead.”

I still had things to take care of here.

    [Young Master.]

The telepathy of Dang So Yeol calling me.

She probably sensed why I wasn’t leaving.

    [I know.]

    [Should I bring her up?]

I turned my head as I heard her words.

It was towards the ceiling of a building.

    “No it’s fine.”

Was it a problem that I looked up at the ceiling?

    Thud-!

I felt a faint presence from that direction.

Soon after it began to move further away.

    Were they trying to escape?

“I’ll go check it out myself.”

With that I kicked off the ground and leaped up.

    ******************

    Whoosh-!

A masked figure flew into the building.

Seeing the constantly changing background I could feel just how fast he was moving.

As he moved quickly the masked figure swallowed hard.

    ‘How did they find out?’

How on earth did they notice?

His stealth technique should have been perfect.

He hadn’t sensed anything until just before.

The masked figure should have felt a chill as he recalled the previous situation.

    ‘Our eyes met.’

    Without any warning.

Suddenly a young man turned his head and looked at the masked figure.

He met that gaze and immediately attempted to flee.

It was a gaze that had been fixed on him.

Did he know I was there from the start?

    I didn’t know.

For now I had to escape.

‘I need to return to the headquarters immediately.’

I had to go back and report.

    That was my only goal.

    ‘Damn it.’

The masked figure hadn’t been particularly wary when the woman approached the formations.

He had considered moving when the woman looked directly at the formations.

But that thought didn’t last long.

The order given to the masked figure was simply to ensure that there were no issues with the formations until tonight.

And yet there was a problem with this matter.

‘At least it’s a relief that there’s no issue with the formations.’

It was a problem that they had noticed him but they wouldn’t know about the formations in the end.

    That was enough.

If he could return to the headquarters and report properly there wouldn’t be a major issue.

    “Where are you going?”

    “…!?”

A voice came from right next to him.

He tried to turn his body but—

    Thud-.

Someone grabbed the masked figure’s neck and slammed him down onto the ground.

    Boom-! Crash-!

    His face hit the ground.

Due to the speed he was running he slid forward.

Thanks to that a long mark was left on the ground.

    The sudden impact.

Before the masked figure could even grasp the situation properly—

    Thud-!

The same hand that had grabbed him lifted the back of his head.

    “Cough…!”

“In the midst of all this you wrapped yourself in enhanced qi? Not bad.”

The moment he was caught he had wrapped his face in defensive enhanced qi.

Someone recognized that and let out a slight admiration.

    This was dangerous.

Instinctively the masked figure tried to move.

    But—

    Squeeze-!

    “Crack!?”

The hand suddenly grabbed the man’s cheeks preventing him from closing his mouth.

    And then—

    Thud-!

    “…Cough!!”

The hand went inside and pulled out his molar.

That was where the self-destruct poison was located.

In just a few seconds the situation unfolded.

The masked figure hadn’t even been able to regain his senses.

The only thing he could understand.

No the only thing he could see was one thing.

    His eyes.

Even in his blurred vision the other party’s eyes were clear.

A bright blue color yet for some reason it felt like it was burning.

Just looking at them filled him with an overwhelming sense of discomfort.

    “Gasp…huff….”

The unknown fear made the masked figure’s breathing grow ragged.

The other party checked the molar he had pulled out for a moment.

    Crack!

He squeezed it with his fingers.

Then he looked back at the masked figure.

    “Interesting.”

The young man said that with a smile on his lips.

    “Who the hell are you?”

For some reason a chilling smile lingered on his face.
