Childhood Friend of the Zenith – 561 (Part 2)

561 (Part 2)
I was wrong.
The sect was more rotten than I had known in my past life.
Of course it might not be so but that’s how it appeared to me.
It was more than enough to conclude my own judgment.
This was enough.
Thinking that I slowly raised my body.
Swoosh—
As I suddenly stood up Yeongpung and Guryunghwa looked at me with puzzled expressions.
I spoke to them.
“The Sword Master will be fine.”
There shouldn’t be any problems.
“There won’t be anything wrong.”
I would make sure of that.
“Oppa…?”
“Master Gyu. What are you suddenly saying…”
Leaving the two who couldn’t understand behind I approached the iron bars.
Then the martial artist guarding the prison looked at me with sharp eyes.
“What’s going on…?”
“Did you bring the clothes?”
“Hmm?”
As I suddenly brought up a strange topic the martial artist in front made a confused expression.
“What do you mean by clothes out of the blue?”
“Tell Dangdeok to prepare as well. It’s about to start.”
“No what…!”
Thud.

“Gah…!?”
The martial artist in front suddenly seemed shocked and collapsed.
That wasn’t all.
One by one others began to fall as well.
Before long all the martial artists guarding the prison had collapsed.
Even Guryunghwa and Yeongpung who were behind had lost consciousness by now.
Seeing that I reached out my hand.
“Faster than before huh?”
As I remarked in wonder a white hand suddenly shot out from the front.
It probably wasn’t that it had appeared suddenly.
It must have been there all along but its presence was so faint that it was only now visible.
The suddenly appearing woman unlocked the restraints on my wrist with the key she held.
Clang-!
The restraints fell to the ground with a loud noise but no one came to investigate.
They must have already been dealt with long ago.
“Did you kill them all?”
As I recalled that I asked.
“Not a single one was killed as commanded.”
The woman who appeared answered. It was a relief. There was only one person here who needed to die. Any more would be unnecessary slaughter.
She spoke and knelt down.
Then she took something out from her bosom and handed it to me.
A black martial arts uniform and a white mask.
I accepted them and immediately changed my clothes.
Once I was dressed I noticed that the clothes were somewhat large for my frame.
But that didn’t matter.
Crack-!
My bones twisted and my body gradually grew larger.
It took only a few seconds to transform into a physique that fit the martial arts uniform.
As I calmly adjusted my clothes the woman spoke to me.
“Master we received contact from the Hwangbo family.”
“What did they say?”
“They said that Shaolin reached out and asked for guidance on how to proceed.”
“Ha. Already?”
Faster than I expected.
As always those bald heads were quick to handle things.
“Send Jiseon. He’ll take care of it.”
“I will relay that.”

After hearing her righteous response I donned the mask.
Immediately I turned around.
“…”
There with widened eyes was Seongyul stuck to the wall.
She seemed quite shocked.
“I remember you asked what I intended to use you for.”
“…”
You wondered why I was dragging you around.
What on earth was my purpose you asked Seongyul.
“Well then wait. This will be my answer.”
Creeeak-!
I stepped over the opening iron bars.
Naturally I clasped my hands behind my back.
I puffed out my chest and held my posture as straight as possible.
Seeing this the woman asked.
“Is it alright if I don’t release the blood seal?”
“No need. I wasn’t caught in the first place so what for?”
“Understood.”
With each step I took I diminished my presence.
By the third step I was already unrecognized by those around me.
At that moment I lightly leaped into the air.
Very high indeed.
When I had risen to a considerable height I spoke to the woman.
“Now release it.”
“Yes.”
Snap-!
At my command the woman lightly flicked her fingers.
Whoosh-!
The veil that had been hidden in the air vanished revealing an enormous body.
The little guy had grown to his maximum size and was floating in the air.
Above him stood a giant holding a spear.
The giant Dangdeok confirmed my approach and launched himself forward.
It was a plan we had already discussed.
Not long after that.
Boom—!!
A tremendous sound erupted from below.
As I briefly checked below I drew demonic qi into my body.
Whoosh-!
Demonic qi surged through my acupoints starting from my heart and filling my entire body.
The demonic qi even affected my eyes.
My body heated up naturally radiated warmth.
Feeling that I spoke.
“Black Heaven.”
As soon as the words left my mouth.
Whoosh—!!!
An immense amount of demonic qi erupted from my body.
Not spreading outwards but solely into the void.
The soaring demonic qi consumed the sky.
The remaining demonic qi fell down creating a small domain.
In this space day turned into night.
With neither moon nor stars only an empty darkness was created.
After confirming the space that had been formed.
I slowly began to descend.
Emitting a gentle heat I lowered my speed. I had to differentiate myself from Dangdeok who was falling like a rock.
I felt gazes upon me.
I could sense that everyone was watching me.
The fear of encountering an unknown entity was also vividly felt.
It didn’t matter.
In fact I welcomed it.
This was precisely the kind of gaze I had aimed to create so I needed to enjoy it.
I raised my hand.
Whoosh.
Qi gathered in a handful converging at my fingertips.
The fierce energy resembled its master rough and wild.
But I liked this sharp energy.
Pursuing compression upon compression would naturally intensify it.
I twisted the flow tightly grasping it to form a single sphere.
The speed of rotation was so fast that if I let go it might burst.
But I endured.
I had to. This was the most crucial moment.
Whoosh-!
The swiftly rotating sphere began to glow.
A peculiar hue of blue and purple was added.
It wasn’t the flame jade I had originally used.
If I had intended to use something like that I wouldn’t have employed this qi.
‘Fire Wheel Star.’
An unknown realm that could not be completed with a mere flame.
A secret technique that could be used by stepping on corrupted officials.
I gently lifted the sphere I had created and sent it soaring into the air.
Then.
Boom—!!
The soaring sphere burst forth with light illuminating the surroundings.
It splattered darkness across the sky creating a space.
And upon that I placed the sun.
More than half of the qi burst forth but it didn’t matter.
Thud.
As my toes touched the ground.
Amidst the multitude of gazes I looked straight ahead.
There the Elder of the sect Ubaek was staring at me with distorted eyes.
A welcome gaze.
It was proof that the situation was unfolding as planned.
I was glad I wore a mask. Thanks to that this smile wouldn’t be revealed.
I looked at Ubaek and brought forth the words I had prepared.
“Nice to meet you.”
Words I had dreaded hearing and recalling.
“I am.”
Now I had to spit it out.
Yes.
“I am the Heavenly Demon.”
What a ridiculous play had begun.
