**Chapter 531 – The Precious Object of Creation.**
– What is the relationship with the Blood Demon?
Namgung Myung’s sudden remark sent a chill down my spine.
The Blood Demon.
‘Why is it here too?’
Whenever something happens it seems to be connected to the Blood Demon.
Even the state of the brain child reminds me of the Blood Demon. Why is that?
I was about to ask Namgung Myung why he said that.
[That’s enough….]
Suddenly Shin Noya blocked my words.
[Let’s go now.]
‘Noya?’
It was strange that he interrupted me and I was taken aback by his insistence to leave mid-conversation.
This was about the Blood Demon no less.
I felt like I had to hear it somehow but to just leave like this?
What was going on?
[When we return I will explain. For now let’s go.]
‘…’
I could feel it there.
Shin Noya knew something.
Moreover I realized.
‘Is it something I shouldn’t hear here?’
The fact that Noya deliberately cut off the conversation meant there was a significant reason behind it.
I had to make a choice.
Either I could insist on hearing it here.

Or I could trust Noya.
What choice should I make? The answer was obvious anyway.
“… I will see you again next time.”
I chose Noya’s intention. There was no hesitation.
The very fact that I had come this far and couldn’t trust Shin Noya was the real problem.
“So what does that mean?”
I returned to the room leaving the Namgung trio and Woo Hyuk behind. I hadn’t even heard the reason why Namgung Bia rejected the brain child.
My mind and body were both exhausted. I wanted to lie down immediately but I still had to ask.
[…]
As soon as I entered the room Noya fell silent at my question.
Was he choosing his words or was it something he couldn’t say?
“Noya.”
Under normal circumstances I would have held back thinking it was something he couldn’t talk about.
But now I had to ask.
It was about the Blood Demon after all and I needed to know.
He looked at me and thought of the Blood Demon.
Noya knew better than anyone that this was something I was particularly sensitive about.
So I waited.
I had faith that he would give me an answer so I had to wait.
I thought that if I waited he would respond.
And sure enough.
[… You little brat.]
Shin Noya began to speak.
“Yes.”
I nodded in response unfolding my aura.
There were quite a few martial artists gathered around.
They were probably martial artists sent by the Poison King.
It wasn’t strange.
Given the scale of the incident it was to protect the guests.
Moreover it likely served as a means of surveillance.
I didn’t care.
I could easily avoid that level of scrutiny now.
Since others couldn’t hear Noya’s words honestly it wouldn’t matter if I didn’t unfold my aura.
‘I just need to be a bit more comfortable.’
That way I could feel a little at ease. I also wanted to avoid rumors of the madman of Gu Ga talking to himself.
Ah but the rumor of being a madman had already spread so maybe it didn’t matter.
‘… I guess it doesn’t matter in the end.’

The rumor of being a madman was somewhat convenient.
No matter what I did they would just brush it off as me being crazy.
‘I guess I need to act crazier in the future.’
I was confident it was what I did best.
Just as I was firmly making that resolution.
[Before explaining this…. there’s something I need to say first.]
Noya began to speak.
[You little brat]
As I listened closely the first thing I heard was.
[What do you think a precious object (貴物) is?]
It was somewhat unexpected.
******************
What is a precious object (貴物)?
There are various definitions but ultimately it refers to a specific item imbued with special power.
It serves as a symbol for sects or families much like the brain child or the precious spirit.
There was even a time when the prestige of a family was determined by how many precious objects they owned.
If one were to ask how mere objects could hold such significance.
The important point was that precious objects are items that cannot be created by human power.
Why did they become symbols?
Why do they maintain their value as a form of wealth?
Ultimately it was a matter of whether they could be created by human power or not.
Special items gain value.
The fewer and rarer they are the higher their value becomes.
The reason precious objects are called precious is not only because they possess special powers but also because as the name suggests they are rare.
Ah of course….
‘There will be those who can create precious objects later on.’
In five or six years there would be a person capable of artificially creating precious objects.
It was somewhat ambiguous to call that a precious object. When it first appeared it did cause quite a stir.
Now it was a rare occurrence to see the birth of a new precious object.
‘But that’s not important right now.’
So was the question about what a precious object is?
From my perspective I would say.
“… A strange item.”
No other words came to mind.
Isn’t that right?
A sword that emits a sword spirit when infused with energy.
A bandage that never breaks.
A stone whose purpose is unknown and so on.
They were all clearly abnormal items. I couldn’t think of a more fitting word than that.
Upon hearing this answer Noya chuckled and said.
[That’s not incorrect. In fact it’s quite accurate. Now then…. let me ask another question.]
[When do you think precious objects first appeared?]
“Excuse me?”
When do I think precious objects first appeared?
Well.
‘… I wonder?’
When did they first exist?
By the time I was born precious objects were already widely known.
Historically they had existed for hundreds of years.
‘… I don’t specifically remember learning when precious objects first appeared.’
I only knew that such items existed in the world.
I had never heard when or how they came to be.
I had never been curious about it.
It was common knowledge that precious objects existed.
However.
The fact that Noya was asking me this question now meant.
“… Are you suggesting that the Blood Demon is related to precious objects?”
The Blood Demon that appeared centuries ago.
And the precious objects that are now widespread—does that mean there is some connection?
To this question Noya replied.
[I’m not certain. Perhaps Myung feels the same way.]
He gave a somewhat ambiguous answer.
‘Not certain.’
The fact that he wasn’t certain meant he couldn’t firmly deny it either.
“… Then what is the reason you mentioned precious objects?”
Additionally I needed an answer to why Namgung Myung linked me to the Blood Demon.
In response Shin Noya briefly fell silent before continuing.
[The items now called precious objects originally.]
I listened closely thinking it was a supplementary explanation.
[They appeared alongside the Demon Gate.]
“… What do you mean?”
I was slightly taken aback by the words I heard.
‘Are you saying that precious objects came from the Demon Gate?’
It was the first time I had heard such a thing.
“Is that true…?”
[How could I lie? I saw it with my own eyes.]
Are you saying that Noya saw precious objects emerge from the Demon Gate?
If that’s true it wasn’t strange at all.
Shin Noya was a person from the era that began to unravel due to the Demon Gate.
However the content was still strange.
“So are you saying that the Demon Gate just spat out precious objects?”
[Do you think that would be the case?]
“Then what does it mean? How did precious objects…?”
[To be precise precious objects are items spat out by demonic beasts from the Demon Gate.]
… That sounds even stranger doesn’t it?
“Demonic beasts spit them out?”
Items are spat out by demonic beasts?
Not demonic stones but items?
As I was dumbfounded by such an absurd answer I regained my composure and had to question Noya’s statement.
“If that’s the case then we haven’t heard anything like that until now.”
If demonic beasts truly spit out precious objects.
Why aren’t they doing so now?
Moreover.
‘There are no records of it either.’
I couldn’t understand why I was only learning this information now.
[They may not come out now.]
“Excuse me?”
[Right now the white ones are no longer appearing are they?]
