    526 (Part 1)

”’Chapter 527 – Just Give It to Me Once.

    The sky is clear today.

As I looked up at the void this thought naturally came to me.

I could see the sunset gradually fading and the sight of the colors staining the sky without a single cloud was truly beautiful.

    Damn beautiful in fact.

“Hyung-nim. How long are you going to lie there?”

At the sound of the voice I slightly turned my head.

It was the Patzon sitting cross-legged on a rock looking at me.

I asked him “Isn’t your way of speaking a bit strange…?”

What is that ridiculous mixed language?

    “What’s strange about it Hyung-nim?”

    “…”

Even when I pointed it out the Patzon stubbornly refused to change his words.

Does that guy think that just adding Hyung-nim to his speech makes everything okay?

I was at a loss for words utterly dumbfounded.

    “Ugh….”

It was because I had just been thoroughly beaten.

I was looking at the sky because of that. I couldn’t get up from lying down.

As I tried to force my upper body up every joint in my body screamed in protest.

With all my strength I managed to lift myself and looked at the Patzon resentfully saying “I told you I’m injured….”

“From what I just heard you look fine Hyung-nim.”

“… Are you planning to keep this up?”

    “What do you mean Hyung-nim?”

    “…”

It seems that old man has a much bigger grudge than I thought.

    ‘You’ve been too cocky.’

Knowing that I had run away for a few days to avoid getting beaten by him I thought I’d tease him a little.

I had forgotten that just because he called me Hyung it didn’t mean he wouldn’t retaliate.

If I had acted out of line I would have been beaten up under the pretext of a duel.

    “Ugh….”

It hurts more than last time.

This definitely had some emotional weight behind it.

Yet I couldn’t bring myself to speak.

    “… Are you not tired?”

    “What do you mean Hyung….”

    “Please stop that.”

I told him to stop because it felt like I was bowing down.

Only then did the Patzon chuckle and start twirling his wrist.

The reason he asked if I was tired was simple.

‘My body shouldn’t be that soft.’

I had just been beaten and it hurt but there was a refreshing feeling in the parts of my body that felt blocked as if acupoints were swollen.

    From this I could tell.

The Patzon wasn’t just being reckless.

    This was definitely.

‘Pushing the Palace and Passing the Hole.’

Just like when I was beaten last time the Patzon’s strikes usually helped my body.

He had struck the uncomfortably tight spots relieving the blockages.

So it was even more astonishing.

    ‘How does this work?’

The Patzon’s skill was currently at its peak.

He was a gentleman who had long surpassed the realm of Huajing but still it was different to completely suppress someone like me who was at Huajing.

‘He even does Pushing the Palace and Passing the Hole while fighting.’

Moreover it wasn’t like I just stood there and took the hits.

    ‘… I struggled desperately.’

I had gritted my teeth and charged in trying to land even a single hit but absurdly I couldn’t even brush against his clothes.

    ‘What’s the problem?’

The difference in skill was overwhelmingly in my favor. Not to mention my speed was also faster.

Strength was out of the question and my qi was likely much greater as well.

Simply put I should have been overwhelming in every aspect.

‘Not even being able to graze him is absurd.’

    I was just dumbfounded.

As I was constantly pondering what the problem was the Patzon spoke.

“It’s because your vision hasn’t developed.”

It was as if he already knew what I was thinking providing an unsolicited answer.

    “Vision?”

“Yes. With such low perception how can you see and evade?”

Are you saying my perception is low?

“… Are you saying that my inability to reach Elder is due to a difference in perception?”

“That’s not wrong either. How can you reach what you cannot see?”

As qi merges with the body the reaction speed increases.

In line with that the field of vision becomes wider and clearer so saying that my perception isn’t good from the perspective of someone at Huajing didn’t quite fit.

    One thing.

‘What the Patzon is saying probably doesn’t mean that.’

It shouldn’t be taken at face value.

Look at him now; the Patzon spoke and was watching me with an intrigued look.

That guy is testing me right now.

‘How annoying. He could just tell me directly.’

He deliberately made it complicated and wanted me to figure it out.

    That must be his intention.

    ‘Tsk.’

Is this part of the training too?

Even if I didn’t like it I had no room to argue.

The value of the training the Patzon provided was that high.

In fact I had improved so much in using my body compared to before that I had no intention of resisting.

    ‘Low perception huh.’

The difference between the Patzon and me.

    What could it be?

‘… He blocks me before I can reach him. No he blocks me even before I start.’

I didn’t know whether it was about seeing or not.

Before I could even take action the Patzon moved in advance.

No matter how fast I was it meant that he blocked my movements before they even unfolded.

As I was thinking of kicking he was already blocking my thigh with a kick.

All the numerous attempts I made were completely ineffective.

The genuine moves I had set up in between were all blocked.

To break through this I would have to be faster than the Patzon could react.

‘On the other hand the fact that the Patzon can grasp this means….’

Not only does he predict all my movements.

He must also visualize the subsequent connected actions in his mind while fighting.

If that’s the case regardless of how it’s possible for a human brain to do that.

“… It’s not that my perception is low but rather that I’m fighting with my head instead of my eyes isn’t it?”

    “Haha.”

The Patzon burst into laughter upon hearing my answer.

    “What a simple answer.”

“I tried my best you know.”

“Yes it was simple but not bad…. You were correct. Then why can’t you do that? Knowing the answer already?”

    I frowned at his words.

If I knew that I would have already been the Patzon you idiot.

I wanted to say that but I held it back.

I couldn’t just blurt it out when the place I had just been hit still hurt.

“Looking at your expression I can tell what you’re thinking.”

“I was just thinking how admirable Elder is.”

    “What are you talking about?”

    “…”

    Ugh.

So it really doesn’t get through?

As I turned my head in disappointment I heard the Patzon click his tongue briefly.

“You shouldn’t be disappointed that you can’t do this. In a way it’s only natural.”

“… Are you saying Elder also trained to get to this point?”

“No? I was capable from the start.”

    “… Huh?”

“If I couldn’t do this I wouldn’t be able to go around calling myself a master. Tsk.”

His nonchalant admission of being an extraordinary person was quite annoying.

“What I mean is it’s not a problem that you can’t do it. Of course even if you can’t do this.”

A smile appeared in his eyes.

Every time the Patzon smiled like that it sent chills down my spine.

“I will make it so that you can do it so that’s not a problem either.”

That was the scariest thing in the world.

He would make it happen no matter what.

It was similar to the desire I had in my current life but having someone else impose that on me was terrifying.

I hid my fear and asked “… Are you saying you’ll help me use my brain better?”

“You’re saying something strange; how could I do that?”

    “Excuse me?”

The guy who just said he would make it happen was now saying something else.

“What do you mean if you don’t understand this part from the start you shouldn’t try to grasp it with your head? It would be a waste of time.”

    “So… what should I do….”

“It’s a simple principle. If your head doesn’t work.”

    Swish-!

    “…!”

Suddenly a fist shot out and I twisted my body to evade.

    Thud-!

My left foot which was about to move back got caught on the Patzon’s foot throwing off my balance.

My lower body collapsed and I had to plop down unceremoniously.

Sitting there awkwardly I stared blankly at the Patzon.

Seeing me like that the Patzon said “You can learn by using your body.”

What is this nonsense? I was about to ask but my mouth shut on its own.

    ‘What is this?’

The movement just now felt strange.

The problem was that I didn’t know what was strange about it.

Is it strange that I fell so easily?

Or is it strange that I couldn’t grasp the Patzon’s movements?

It was a mysterious feeling. A frustrating sense of incomprehension lingered.

    [… Oh….]

In the midst of it all I heard the voice of Shin Noya sounding as if he was impressed.

Does that mean the Patzon did something?

“I’ll say it again but you have a misconception about yourself.”

    I heard the Patzon’s voice.

“It doesn’t sit well with me to see you with such a body and yet looking down on yourself. Why do you see yourself as so unattractive?”

“What are you talking about out of the blue?”

It seemed like a random remark but it was enough to stir my heart.

    It couldn’t be helped.

The body I obtained through regression in extreme environments was undoubtedly exceptional.

To others it was certainly an enviable physique.

The Patzon had taken me as his disciple because he saw that.

    However.

    ‘That doesn’t mean I’m a genius.’

It wouldn’t be strange for the Patzon to have that misconception. But I knew.

I was not someone who could be called a genius.

    Even now.

I hadn’t properly understood what the Patzon had said in my head.

When I looked at it the Patzon’s words were not something that easily resonated.

“Looking at your ugly features it seems you’re having another foolish thought.”

Isn’t that a bit too much of an insult? I couldn’t help but chuckle at his words.

    “Ah yes.”

    The Patzon called me.

“Regardless of how you judge yourself I have no interest in that. Whatever it is in the end you will realize one thing.”

    “What is that?”

“That you will ultimately be my only disciple the unique successor of Patzon Bijoo and the masterpiece of my life.”

    “…”

How can a person say such things so casually?

The Patzon’s confidence was simply astonishing.

“If you lack confidence fill it up and build arrogance on top of that. And surround it with the ability to take responsibility for it. Even if you can’t do that it doesn’t matter.””’
