”’Chapter 505 – Just Give Me a Squeeze Once.
Degururu.
A bottle of alcohol rolls across the table and empty plates are piled high.
There were traces left in the bowls indicating that they had all contained food.
To put it the other way around…
It means that all that food was devoured.
And all by himself.
“Keugh….”
The middle-aged man with white hair let out a satisfied burp.
He even reeked of alcohol.
“… Ha.”
The woman confirming this spoke in disbelief.
“Look at you. Are you really a Daoist?”
“Umm…?”
The man who had been dozing off opened his bleary eyes.
And there she was. A beautiful woman with dark black hair frowning.
“Oh.”
Upon recognizing her the man Namgung-hyung shot up. It was a familiar face.
“Sister?”
At Namgung-hyung’s words the woman’s frown deepened.
“Ugh! The smell of alcohol!”
The stench emanating from him was unbearable.
The smell of alcohol mixed with food was quite overwhelming.
It seemed intolerable as the woman bit her lip tightly.
Hooouuuk-!

She expelled a gust of mixed qi from her body.
To rid the entire inn of this awful smell.
Hwaaaak-!
A rough wind swept through the space.
Only after the smell had somewhat dissipated could the woman finally relax her expression.
“… Ah you crazy fool. Are you really a Daoist? How can you look worse every time I see you?”
“Ugh…. I’m dying…. The hangover…. Sister can you get me some water….”
“If you don’t want to die get rid of the alcohol. Should I draw my sword here?”
“… Ugh.”
At her words Namgung-hyung closed his eyes as if he had no choice.
Then.
Sshhiiing….
A faint haze appeared over Namgung-hyung’s shoulders.
It was a reaction caused by using qi to expel the alcohol from his system.
Seeing the clearly rising haze the woman let out a hollow laugh.
“How much did you drink for it to come out like this?”
“Such a waste of alcohol…. I have to get all of this out.”
“Did you really eat meat too?”
The woman inspecting the bowls on the table spoke.
Her voice sounded quite exasperated.
“The world is really turning well. How can a Daoist like you eat meat?”
“How can a person live without meat? I can eat a bit.”
“Sure you can eat a bit. But if your master finds out he’ll be furious.”
“Hmph do you think that old man wouldn’t know? He just gave up on me.”
“Well done indeed. That’s something to brag about. How admirable.”
At her bold words the woman had to pinch her brow.
After a while of expelling the alcohol Namgung-hyung opened his eyes again.
He squinted at the black-haired woman in front of him.
Seeing that Namgung-hyung smiled slightly.
“It feels like it’s been about ten years. Isn’t that right sister?”
“… You crazy fool. You’re still the same.”
The woman Baekryeon-gyeom said and Namgung-hyung grinned.
“You still look the same sister. Especially your face just like back then.”
Compared to the last time they met Baekryeon-gyeom maintained her beauty.
Seeing that Namgung-hyung reached out toward the bottle of alcohol in front of him.
The Baekryeon-gyeom in front of him slightly shifted her body.
Then.

Crack-!
Clang-!
The bottle of alcohol shattered in half making a sharp sound as it fell to the floor.
“…”
Seeing that Namgung-hyung smacked his lips in disappointment.
“Why? Drink.”
“I was going to but no matter how I look at it it seems more like water from the Samdo River than alcohol.”
He gave up on the alcohol and grabbed the water next to him gulping it down.
Gulp gulp quenching his thirst Namgung-hyung finally looked at Baekryeon-gyeom and asked.
“What brings you here? This isn’t a place we usually meet.”
“Oh I just happened to pass by and heard that some crazy Daoist was causing a ruckus in the inn.”
“Wow what a crazy fool.”
“That’s what I’m saying. This crazy fool….”
“Oh is that me?”
Realizing it was him from Baekryeon-gyeom’s words Namgung-hyung awkwardly smiled.
“But what kind of ruckus did I cause? All I did was drink….”
“What do you mean what kind of ruckus?”
Baekryeon-gyeom glanced back slightly at those words.
There was a waiter peeking over looking cautious.
Seeing that Baekryeon-gyeom let out a deep sigh.
“Can’t you see that your actions are ruining the business here?”
“Um?”
At her words Namgung-hyung looked around and only then did he realize.
There were no other customers in the inn besides him and Baekryeon-gyeom.
Could it be a place that wasn’t doing well? That couldn’t be. When Namgung-hyung first arrived it was full of customers.
So what happened?
“I heard you beat up all the troublemakers and chased them away.”
“Ah.”
Hearing that Namgung-hyung understood what had happened.
There were some people who had disturbed him while he was enjoying the freedom he hadn’t felt in over a decade.
Perhaps they were displeased with him drinking in Daoist attire so they acted a bit aggressively.
That seemed to be the problem.
“… I don’t think I was that harsh….”
“They say none of the people you chased out could walk on their own.”
“Cough cough….”
Namgung-hyung coughed at Baekryeon-gyeom’s words.
He realized he might have been a bit too rough.
Seeing Namgung-hyung like that Baekryeon-gyeom couldn’t help but chuckle.
“You were the most mismatched person I knew and that hasn’t changed.”
I wanted to say the same about you.
He wanted to say that but Namgung-hyung held it back.
“… So what brings you here?”
“I just happened to be passing by. I heard something that sounded just like you so I came to see your face. But I’m glad I came.”
Baekryeon-gyeom’s eyes swept over the table.
“All the Daoists I know are all neat and tidy.”
“That’s why Daoists are boring. Those who practice the Dao are too busy cleaning themselves instead of cleaning up their surroundings.”
“That doesn’t sound like something a famous Daoist should say.”
“Well I’m in a position where I can say that. Hehe!”
Namgung-hyung laughed heartily. In the midst of it the food stuck in his teeth was glaringly obvious.
“You have chives stuck in your teeth.”
“I was saving it for later.”
“… If you’ve eaten enough stop ruining the inn and get up. That one will die like that.”
It didn’t mean he would actually die but rather that he would wither away from being too cautious.
At those words Namgung-hyung looked at the waiter.
The waiter meeting Namgung Clan’s characteristic sharp and cold gaze flinched and trembled.
Seeing that Namgung-hyung smiled broadly.
“I’m sorry! I’ll make sure to pay for the business I ruined and leave.”
“Ah ah…. Th-thank you.”
Just as the waiter’s face brightened with the unexpectedly smooth resolution.
As Namgung-hyung rummaged through his pockets to settle the bill he suddenly froze.
Seeing that Baekryeon-gyeom asked with a worried expression.
“… What’s wrong?”
“Um. I see. I had forgotten something for a moment.”
“What is it?”
“I forgot that I don’t have any money on me.”
“… What?”
“So sister.”
Namgung-hyung looked at Baekryeon-gyeom squinting one eye and making a playful face.
“Could you lend me some money?”
At that cheerful request Baekryeon-gyeom smiled brightly.
And then she promptly struck the top of Namgung-hyung’s head with her fist.
Thwack-!
******************
Right after Baekryeon-gyeom took out money and calculated the cost of a day’s business at the inn.
She dragged out a figure that looked like a monster.
“… That hurts.”
Namgung-hyung rubbed his painfully throbbing head wondering if he had a bump.
Fortunately it seemed he didn’t have one.
‘Isn’t that scarier?’
The shock from earlier was immense. Namgung-hyung thought he might faint at that moment.”’
