Childhood Friend of the Zenith – 425 (Part 2)

425 (Part 2)
“Blue will come.”
It meant blue.
When I saw my past life I could predict that something significant would happen.
Upon hearing my response Moyong Hee-ah slightly nodded her head.
“…As expected Young Master seems to have anticipated it as well.”
“…Yeah.”
It was more than just a prediction; I had seen it directly.
But good things are good things so whatever…
“You must be busy too.”
“Pardon?”
“You must have already sent word to the Moyong Clan.”
“…”
Moyong Hee-ah upon hearing this widened her eyes for a moment before quickly breaking into a smile.
Her eyes were still captivating.
“How did you know?”
“Is there anything I wouldn’t know?”
It was only natural.
Humans pursue their own interests.
It didn’t matter if they were merchants or martial artists.
That meant everyone was the same.
Even if a crisis arose with the appearance of the red demonic beast there would always be those looking for some benefit from it.
Especially those in higher positions.
‘Just look at the Poison King right now.’
The Poison King who sent a letter to the Murim Alliance.
Would it arrive early?

It probably wouldn’t be late.
The Poison King wouldn’t want the world to descend into chaos either.
However.
‘It would be later than sending it to their own clan.’
This was information.
The tremendous information that a red demonic beast had appeared.
The fact that they discovered this information before the Rogues’ Guild or anyone else held immense value.
If a situation arose they could respond first.
Accordingly they could profit from it.
Could it be that only the Poison King did this?
Moyong Hee-ah of course and the other clans would be the same.
I didn’t think it was a bad thing.
Isn’t that how people live?
As I thought this I suddenly remembered something I had forgotten.
‘Ah I should have sent it too.’
I knew all this would happen. Yet I hadn’t sent anything.
If I send it now it would already be too late… What should I do?
I didn’t think my father would be angry.
“Hmm…”
Just as I was about to frown feeling slightly troubled.
“It seems Young Master hasn’t sent anything. Is that correct?”
Moyong Hee-ah happened to bring that up.
“…How did you know?”
“I just happened to find out.”
“…”
I looked at Moyong Hee-ah with a gaping expression. Just happened to find out?
Why not just spit out some lies? What kind of nonsense is this? She was still a frightening woman.
How did she know that I hadn’t sent the letter?
As I stared at her in disbelief Moyong Hee-ah smiled at me.
“So I sent it on your behalf.”
“Huh? What?”
“Oh I sent it to Lady Mi in my name. Is that alright? I thought it would be the fastest way.”
“Eh?”
What was she talking about?
…She sent the information on my behalf?
“Last time your mother… I mean Lady Mi…”
“Hey what was that title just now?”

“When Young Master has any matters she asked me to contact her separately. So I sent it through that contact network.”
“What do you mean by that title?”
I kept asking because I thought I heard something strange in the middle.
But Moyong Hee-ah only continued speaking as if she didn’t hear me.
It would only hurt my mouth to keep talking so I let out a slight sigh and leaned back in my chair closing my eyes.
No matter what the situation was it was a grateful thing so it should be fine.
Moyong Hee-ah wouldn’t have written anything strange in the letter.
“…”
“…”
I suddenly sat up and looked at Moyong Hee-ah.
“…You didn’t write anything strange in the letter besides the information did you?”
At my sudden question Moyong Hee-ah flinched for a moment.
What was that reaction? Why are you making me anxious?
“You….”
“Oh my Young Master seems to be sleepy. You should get some rest soon.”
“No that’s not what’s important right now…”
“The chair is quite hard isn’t it? Would you like to borrow my knee?”
“…”
Hohoho.
Seeing Moyong Hee-ah trying to cover her mouth with a fan and laugh it off sent chills down my spine.
…She didn’t do anything strange again did she?
I hoped it wasn’t the case.
******************
Flap flap.
A bird flutters its wings in the sky.
The bird gracefully gliding down approaches a young man standing still in the sunlight.
As the young man reaches out his hand the bird lands on it.
Then as if it were familiar the young man unties the paper bound to the bird’s foot.
Rustle.
He unfolds the neatly folded letter and begins to read the words written on it.
At most there were six or seven lines of text.
There were some things that would surprise the young man written there.
As soon as he finished reading the entire text slowly.
“Haha.”
The young man let out a laugh without realizing it.
His eyes turned into crescent shapes with the smile.
The cool shining red pupils were soon obscured.
“The flow has truly changed.”
The Blood Demon laughed joyfully.
The crack he had longed for had come how could he dislike it?
What could have happened?
As he pondered the face of a young man flashed through the Blood Demon’s mind.
The only person he could think of was that human.
Ah he could no longer be called a human now.
Chuckle…
As he spread trivial thoughts the Blood Demon chuckled.
“Is it thanks to you? Or is it your fault?”
Is it a blessing?
Or is it a blame?
The Blood Demon thought it didn’t matter what it was.
“I have high expectations of you.”
I hope you run wild even more.
Thus I hope you grow even larger and that the gaze of the heavens will reach you.
The Blood Demon truly wished for that.
Only then would it finally…
“I’m sorry to keep you waiting.”
At the sound of footsteps the Blood Demon folded the letter and tucked it into his bosom.
He adjusted his clothes slightly and turned around.
When he turned the Blood Demon’s red eyes had vanished replaced by black pupils.
“No it’s an honor to meet you.”
“…”
At the Blood Demon’s words the old man took on a slightly wary expression.
“I would like to hear the main point of why you wished to see me Shin Seong (新星).”
The old man no the master of the Mu-dang and one of the representatives of the Central Plains Mu-dang Gyeom-seon asked as he looked at Jang Seon-yeon in front of him.
In response to that question Jang Seon-yeon smiled gently and replied.
“I have a matter that I dare to suggest to the Sect Leader which is why I came to see you.”
“To me you say?”
At Jang Seon-yeon’s words Mu-dang Gyeom-seon let out a hollow laugh.
Now Nak-gyeom had stepped down from the position of Alliance Leader.
And the once blazing Shin Seong was losing its luster.
Yet how could the son of Nak-gyeom suggest something to him?
For Mu-dang Gyeom-seon it wasn’t particularly interesting.
He was already troubled by the matter of Jang-ryong.
“I’m sorry but…”
Feeling like he was wasting time on something unnecessary he was about to turn away.
“I heard you wish for the position of Alliance Leader.”
“…”
At Jang Seon-yeon’s words Mu-dang Gyeom-seon had to pause his moving legs for a moment.
Seeing that reaction Jang Seon-yeon smiled a little more broadly and continued speaking.
“I think I can help you with that… Would you listen for a moment?”
At Jang Seon-yeon’s words Mu-dang Gyeom-seon’s eyes wavered. It didn’t matter how he knew.
It was common knowledge that Mu-dang Gyeom-seon dreamed of the position of Alliance Leader.
“Shin Seong… Are you mocking me?”
There was a hint of anger in Mu-dang Gyeom-seon’s voice.
A mere child who had just reached adulthood.
Moreover he was the bloodline of Nak-gyeom who had sat in the position of Alliance Leader.
Could such a Jang Seon-yeon suggest this?
It was something hard to understand.
Although Mu-dang Gyeom-seon expressed his anger Shin Seong only continued to smile as he had from the beginning.
“Please just listen. I think it’s something you can punish me for afterward Sect Leader.”
“…”
Mu-dang Gyeom-seon looked at Jang Seon-yeon for a moment.
What should he do?
The contemplation didn’t take long.
If it was just listening to a story that was certainly possible.
Moreover if it was something trivial as Jang Seon-yeon said he could hold him accountable for it afterward.
Thinking that way Mu-dang Gyeom-seon turned his steps back to his original position as a response.
At that moment a slight red hue flickered in Jang Seon-yeon’s eyes but Mu-dang Gyeom-seon did not notice it.
