Childhood Friend of the Zenith – 416 (Part 2)

416 (Part 2)
The Tang Clan was transporting a prisoner and given the somewhat limited circumstances on the ship there was a chance of victory.
It was an incredibly favorable situation.
It had been twenty years since the Tang Clan took responsibility for the transport fleet.
For someone like Tang Deok who had been waiting for the right moment this was nothing short of a miracle.
Thus Tang Deok decided to be patient.
Having waited for such a long time could he not endure another seven days and nights?
If he could endure and bring about the downfall of the Tang Clan.
Absolutely.
Tang Deok forcibly suppressed his killing intent and chose his breath.
He could not act recklessly in this state.
“When the scouts return report to me. Especially.”
A strange light shone in Tang Deok’s eyes as he issued his command.
“Seo Yeom Ra. If you have any information about that bloodied creature bring it to me.”
“Yes.”
Tang Deok uttering the alias gritted his teeth inwardly.
The part he still could not understand was that guy.
How did he find the scouts he had sent first?
It was even more incomprehensible that he knew he was behind them.
‘How did he know?’
How did he know and provoke him like that?
Did the Poison King also know about this?
Fearing that possibility Tang Deok had to slightly alter his plans.
What was important was what Seo Yeom Ra knew about him along with the words he had conveyed to him.
[Failed product.]
Seo Yeom Ra had clearly instructed him to convey that.

Looking at that.
‘…Could it be that this guy knows?’
Not only his name but also his true identity which no one else knew.
‘That can’t be.’
Everyone who knew about that incident had met their death.
All his brothers and everyone involved in the matter were dead.
Except for the bloodline of the Tang Clan.
‘But how does he know?’
It was a statement that pricked at his heart too coincidental to be mere chance.
Could it really be a coincidence?
Tang Deok felt a nagging doubt rising in his chest.
He tightened his grip on the spear and thought.
‘If I catch him I must ask before I kill him.’
He was planning to capture him anyway and if he did he could just interrogate him.
As Tang Deok was wandering through the thicket he suddenly stopped in his tracks.
“…!”
He halted his eyes straining to look somewhere.
The tall trees obscured his view but he could feel it.
There was something out there in the distance.
Immediately Tang Deok swung his spear in the direction where he sensed an unknown presence.
Whoosh-!
Crash-! A tremendous force erupted from the spear’s tip shattering all the trees in front of him with a gust of wind.
However that overwhelming energy did not last long.
Boom-! Whoosh-!
The energy that had been pushing forward reached a certain point and suddenly burst! It dissipated.
Tang Deok could feel it.
Someone had blocked his attack.
Moreover he sensed a thick heat emanating from beyond.
It was dense and hot.
Tang Deok leaped toward the source of the energy.
As the distance closed it became clearer. In the darkness ahead he could see a solitary crimson flame flickering.
From the heat he understood.
That flame was signaling to him.
It was saying he was here. To come quickly.
‘To me?’
Tang Deok raised the corners of his mouth and quickened his pace.
A spark brushed against his cheek.

In that fleeting moment Tang Deok reached the center of the flame.
Boom-!
As Tang Deok’s massive body hit the ground an enormous sound and gust of wind erupted.
The dust mixed with the earth obscured his vision but
Whoosh-!
In the instant Tang Deok swung his spear the figure before him vanished.
As his vision cleared Tang Deok couldn’t help but chuckle.
“…This is absurd.”
It truly was absurd.
Tang Deok spread his senses wide to confirm the presence but no matter how much he checked he could only feel the person right in front of him.
Realizing this Tang Deok asked.
“Did you come alone?”
The young man answered Tang Deok’s question.
“As you can see.”
“…Ha you mean to say you came here all by yourself without any backup?”
“Why would I need that? Just in case you were worried the Poison King didn’t come.”
Though he couldn’t easily believe those words another question arose in Tang Deok’s mind first.
“What kind of confidence is that?”
Tang Deok grinned wickedly as he looked at the young man.
His physique was small but his presence was unmistakable.
He stood with flames wrapped around his body hands clasped behind his back.
The young man merely stared at Tang Deok without any reaction.
Seeing this Tang Deok continued speaking.
“Even if you hide in the shadows and hold your breath to avoid detection you couldn’t resist showing your face like this?”
At Tang Deok’s words the young man tilted his head and asked.
“Hide? Why would I?”
“You should hide. If you’re found out I’ll devour you…!”
Tang Deok could not fail to recognize who this young man was. How could he not recognize the one who had dared to provoke him?
A young master who wielded fire.
Remembering just a few of those outstanding traits made it very easy to identify him.
“Nice to meet you Seo Yeom Ra.”
Haha.
What could possibly be so funny?
At Tang Deok’s words the young man Seo Yeom Ra suddenly burst into laughter.
Seeing that Tang Deok’s brows furrowed deeply.
“What are you laughing at? Are you so close to death that you’ve lost your mind?”
“Oh sorry. Is it because I haven’t seen you in a while? It’s just a bit funny.”
“What did you say?”
“You’ve always been an idiot.”
At Seo Yeom Ra’s mockery a vicious energy erupted from Tang Deok’s body.
“…How dare you… It seems the world has elevated you and you’ve forgotten your place. Do you even know who I am to say such things…!”
“Who am I? Just a failed product that was never completed.”
Was that the problem?
In that moment Tang Deok’s rationality snapped.
It was certain. That guy knew something.
Confirming that made him feel even better.
“Alright I will definitely kill you here.”
Just as Tang Deok gripped his spear and was about to unleash his qi.
Gurgle.
“….!”
Suddenly feeling pain Tang Deok clutched his stomach.
As a strange sensation tightened around his whole body he was about to panic when a voice came from the front.
“I’m glad to see you like the gift I sent.”
The voice was laced with unmistakable laughter.
Step by step the figure approached.
Seo Yeom Ra drew closer to Tang Deok locking eyes with him as he spoke.
“First let’s talk slowly.”
As Tang Deok confirmed the look in Seo Yeom Ra’s eyes he swallowed hard.
For some reason his pupils were glowing with a purplish hue.
