Childhood Friend of the Zenith – 360 (Part 1)

360 (Part 1)
**Thud.**
**Scrape-!**
Once the sound of something scratching against the wall.
A mark is left on the wall that looked solid from the fleeting touch.
I feel a slight obstruction but I break through it with force.
**Thud thud-! Thud!**
I pay attention to ensure the flow of qi does not break.
I repeatedly extend my fist towards the wall.
As my fist touches the wall it does not get blocked; a hole is made.
**Crack-!**
Cracks begin to form from the multiple holes. I continue to strike without concern.
The qi spewing from the qi center occupies the upper qi center. My entire body seems to be clamoring to release the heat outside.
Enduring this was crucial.
That was the most important method to maximize the capabilities of the physical body.
“Huuh…”
As I exhaled thinly hot air mixed with heat escaped from my mouth.
What I felt for a moment was definitely qi.
I rotate my upper body.
At the same time I concentrate the qi from the upper qi center into my fist and unleashed the final strike.
**Crash-! Bang!**
In that moment a loud noise spread in all directions as the massive wall collapsed.
**Thud thud thud-!**
As debris fell to the ground I circulated my breath while dispersing the heat and qi around me.
“Phew….”
After returning the energy that had spread throughout my body via the acupoints back to the qi center.

I cooled my body which had become heated and assessed my condition.
While I was concentrating and scanning the surroundings with my eyes closed I had to frown.
‘It’s not sinking in properly.’
It had been a few days since I reached the realm of transformation but the insights gained from there were not properly sinking into my physical body.
I had trained for a long time in the realm of demons and felt the elevation of my level.
After reaching that level I had somewhat stabilized before returning to the current realm.
With the insights gained then I was able to reach the realm of transformation immediately upon returning to the current realm.
‘But the sense of disconnection doesn’t fade.’
There was a significant difference from the level I felt in the realm of demons.
‘What’s different?’
At that time I had focused more on mental training than physical training.
I knew I would lose everything when returning to the current realm. I thought the inability to reach the realm of transformation was primarily due to my mental state.
In the end my prediction was correct.
Thanks to that I succeeded in reaching the realm of transformation as soon as I arrived in the current realm.
‘But that still means I’m only half-baked.’
Did I fully reach the realm of transformation? No I hadn’t.
It was unstable.
It felt as if the balance of my body had collapsed leaving me extremely uncomfortable.
If I were to find the reason…
‘The first is that I’ve never reached the realm of transformation solely with the power of the Nine Flames Transformation Technique.’
It was my first time reaching a level with just the power of the Nine Flames Transformation Technique.
It was different from the time I had been lifted by the help of demonic qi so perhaps I wasn’t familiar with the orthodox direction.
But I wasn’t even sure about that. It was just a guess.
If I were to think of a second reason…
‘There’s too much energy contained within me.’
Based on the fire energy of the Nine Flames Transformation Technique from the volcanic energy to demonic qi along with blood energy.
If it were another martial artist having two types of energy would lead to a clash that could result in an explosion.
I was handling four types of energy.
Moreover their natures were all different and aside from the volcanic energy they were all extremely violent.
As I reached the realm of transformation my capacity had widened.
Controlling and using the energy was in a state far more maximized than before.
‘But that means the other energies have also become stronger.’
I could feel it.
Every time I used qi the other energies that I had tucked away in the corners were slowly peeking out.
Should I say they had become more assertive?
Should I say they were staging a protest to be used as well?
Whatever it was it was not a pleasant state.

The volcanic energy was inherently not a dangerous energy.
As long as the divine energy was within my body it wouldn’t clash with qi and go berserk.
I had already mixed and used it for a long time so it had become familiar to my body.
However the remaining two energies were different.
They were like demonic beasts.
The demonic qi could not tolerate the existence of other energies besides itself.
And the blood energy for reasons unknown was also trying to expand its territory.
Since I knew both of them were not normal energies I was in a state where I wanted to avoid bringing them out as much as possible.
But the more I used qi the more they were peeking out which was quite concerning.
‘But I can’t just get rid of them.’
The demonic qi was already engraved in my heart so I couldn’t remove it.
The blood energy wouldn’t leave even if I tried to expel it.
It would be best to avoid using them as much as possible.
‘While I succeeded in completely converting the demonic qi into my energy the blood energy…’
The energy I had used so much in my previous life was demonic qi and I instinctively knew what to do with it.
In contrast the blood energy was an energy I couldn’t comprehend at all.
Perhaps it was because my body mixed with various energies couldn’t properly establish a framework which made the insights sink in slowly…
Of course this was also a prediction.
‘…If there’s anything close to certainty.’
I had reached the realm of transformation breaking free from the issues of the mind but ultimately I was blocked by the same problem.
“…Tsk…”
After calming my body I slowly opened my eyes.
Time had already turned to evening.
I looked at the rising moon and recalled the events of the day.
‘Wiselah.’
I brushed my chest while recalling Wiselah’s face.
I had absorbed the energy that scattered when she disappeared into my body.
But I felt nothing.
It could be because I had only captured a very shallow tiny amount of energy.
But feeling absolutely nothing was something I couldn’t help but be concerned about.
I wondered if I could converse like with the divine energy so I kept trying to talk.
But only the innocent beast responded.
[Grunt…?]
‘I didn’t call you so go back to sleep.’
[…Grunt….]
Had Wiselah disappeared?
That anxiety brushed against me.
It wouldn’t be strange if she had vanished. She had said herself that she was out of strength.
The things I hadn’t asked and the words I wanted to say.
Since they were purely my regrets it wouldn’t change anything even if she had disappeared.
Wiselah who had closed her eyes in my arms opened them again not long after.
The words she spoke looking at me with her usual large eyes were still vivid.
-Young Master…?
It stung.
While a sense of relief arose from returning to normal what came first was a feeling of regret and an unknown fatigue.
While looking at my expression Wiselah seemed to sense something and stood up.
-Unnie…? Unnie is….
She had said that.
Hearing that I realized. Wiselah had known of her existence.
Then how much did she know?
Did she know her true identity? Did she know about my circumstances as well?
Should I have asked such things?
Maybe I should have.
But the words that came out of my mouth were not those.
-I’m sorry.
-Young Master…?
-I’m sorry. Not now… let’s talk later.
After petting Wiselah’s hair a few times I took her back to the building and then came here.
I was concerned.
I knew I shouldn’t have left Wiselah behind like that.
Even so it was hard to stand there in that spot.
Had she truly disappeared?
It could be.
But I hoped it wasn’t the case.
All the circumstances indicated that she had vanished.
But I thought otherwise.
It was because of the voice I had heard at the end.
-Embrace her.
A gentle and warm voice.
Even the sensation of the hand that wrapped around my arm.
