Childhood Friend of the Zenith – 327 (Part 2)

327 (Part 2)
It was as if they knew everything from the very beginning showing no hesitation whatsoever.
‘What on earth is their true identity?’
It remains a mystery.
Though younger than Cheol Ji-seon their actions and eyes do not reflect that youth.
They seem to act like a delinquent or a troublemaker.
Yet they move with a calculated demeanor to avoid any repercussions.
At times they even appear quite seasoned.
In that moment.
If one were to step on them they would ensure that the person could never rise again.
To call them an orthodox sect feels somewhat twisted.
The thought of killing oneself was no different.
If Cheol Ji-seon found Shin Seong unsettling.
Gu Yang-cheon was a terrifying presence.
It was frightening.
The more one tried to dig deeper or understand the more complex Gu Yang-cheon proved to be.
Even if the outside seemed similar to the inside.
One could never know how many stories lay hidden within.
In such a situation.
Cheol Ji-seon had to keep hesitating about whether it was permissible to act against Gu Yang-cheon.
With anxious eyes he glanced at Shin Seong and Gu Yang-cheon.
The two were engaged in an unknown conversation.
The reason it was unknown was simple.
It was simply inaudible.
Perhaps Shin Seong had created a barrier around them not just blocking Cheol Ji-seon’s presence.
It seemed to block out the sounds from outside as well.

Even so.
Cheol Ji-seon could clearly sense that the atmosphere between the two was not good.
Gu Yang-cheon was chuckling.
But Shin Seong’s face was chillingly terrifying.
Seeing that he wondered.
‘Is this really okay?’
Cheol Ji-seon still had doubts.
More than how Shin Seong knew his secret.
He had to ponder whether it was right to use that power in this manner.
In a situation where instructors were all around.
What was Shin Seong planning to do?
Though he said not to worry and to just do as instructed…
How could he not worry?
As Cheol Ji-seon swam through hesitation and doubt.
– Now.
”.••!”
Shin Seong sent a signal through telepathy.
To open the magic gate right now.
Hearing the sound Cheol Ji-seon immediately turned towards Gu Yang-cheon and reached out.
As he lightly waved his fingertips.
He felt something catch at the end.
This part.
If he relied on this sensation and pulled it apart.
A disaster would unfold.
Gu Yang-cheon as if bound would be swallowed by the opened magic gate on the floor.
And he might never return.
Just like his father had once done.
“Ugh….”
Enduring without opening the crack he had already grasped brought considerable pain.
But Cheol Ji-seon hesitated until the very end.
The memory of that day flickered in his mind.
Even if he saved three people and Noona by harming others in this way.
He thought that Noona would not look kindly upon it.
– Cheol Mister.
Shin Seong called out to Cheol Ji-seon once more urging him.
As he shifted his gaze.
Shin Seong seemingly stalling for time lowered his head and quietly drew Gu Yang-cheon’s attention.

To fulfill the promise he could no longer hesitate.
One.
‘After all… I really can’t do it.’
Cheol Ji-seon found himself unable to muster any strength.
No matter what he couldn’t bring himself to do such a thing.
‘I….’
Hey.
‘•••!’
Just as he was about to release the grip he had and slowly lower his hand.
A fierce voice pierced his ear.
It wasn’t Shin Seong’s voice.
– Stop being pathetic and open it quickly. Are you just going to stand there and watch?
The voice that reached him was undoubtedly Gu Yang-cheon’s.
It came through the barrier Shin Seong had set up sounding all too clear.
He couldn’t even think about how that was possible.
“Damn it.”
– Are you not going to open it quickly? If not what are you even doing with your arms? I’ll tear them off for you.
With Gu Yang-cheon’s irritated voice.
In the end Cheol Ji-seon with trembling hands moved his fingertips along the sensation.
The hesitation that had lingered for a long time was pushed aside by Gu Yang-cheon’s irritation.
Szzzzzz-!
He felt a sensation like tearing paper in the air.
Cheol Ji-seon hated this feeling intensely.
And then right away.
Kuuuuuu-!
As expected the dimension twisted beneath Gu Yang-cheon’s feet forming the magic gate.
Seeing that Shin Seong smiled.
Gu Yang-cheon’s eyes widened in surprise.
As expected….
Gu Yang-cheon’s body stiffened as anticipated….
– It won’t take long. Just stay still.
‘•••Huh?’
Contrary to Gu Yang-cheon’s surprised expression as he looked at Shin Seong.
The telepathy Gu Yang-cheon sent to Cheol Ji-seon was a completely calm voice.
What on earth was happening?
“Hey you can close it now.”
A voice that was not Gu Yang-cheon’s telepathy came through the barrier.
“•••What!?”
Gu Yang-cheon whom he thought would be unable to move at all began to move as if nothing was wrong above the magic gate.
And he moved at an incredibly fast pace.
He grabbed Shin Seong by the neck and pulled him onto the magic gate.
“How…?”
Cheol Ji-seon found himself exclaiming without realizing it.
His father who had surpassed his peak couldn’t even take a step.
How could Gu Yang-cheon move so nonchalantly?
It was a speed so fast that even Shin Seong couldn’t react.
Kuuuuuu!
From that point on.
The magic gate slowly began to close in to consume the two.
Cheol Ji-seon hadn’t intended to close it.
Rather he wanted to keep it open if possible.
Shin Seong who was caught struggled.
But whether the binding was properly applied Shin Seong’s body lying on the magic gate seemed to have stiffened.
That meant.
Only Gu Yang-cheon could move freely.
Before Cheol Ji-seon could express his doubts about how that was possible.
Kuuuuuu-!
The magic gate that had opened on the floor swallowed the two and vanished in an instant.
“Uh…?”
Thus Cheol Ji-seon could only sit there dazed in a situation he couldn’t comprehend.
Cheol Ji-seon quietly stared at the spot where the two had disappeared.
After a few seconds he regained his senses and thought.
‘Now….’
‘What should I do now?’
He had opened the magic gate as Shin Seong wished but.
Gu Yang-cheon had suddenly grabbed Shin Seong and dragged him into the magic gate.
His thoughts were in disarray.
He didn’t know what to do now.
Could it be that Gu Yang-cheon wanted to commit suicide?
He didn’t seem like the type at all…
But in a situation like this such bizarre thoughts crossed his mind.
“Ah what should I do from now on…?”
If Gu Yang-cheon was one thing.
If even Shin Seong who had promised to watch his back had disappeared…
What was he supposed to do now?
As Cheol Ji-seon contemplated the uncertain future.
Just as he was about to grasp his tangled thoughts.
Wooooo-!
“•••Huh?”
Above Cheol Ji-seon’s head.
Suddenly an anomaly occurred in the blue sky that had been spread out.
Feeling an unknown discomfort Cheol Ji-seon looked up at the sky.
“What is that…?”
His eyes widened in shock as he confirmed the sky.
It was no wonder.
The sky he had thought was so nice today.
Was gradually turning black.
“What is that….”
That strange phenomenon.
At the very least it wasn’t his doing.
He certainly didn’t possess the power to turn bright daylight into night.
In a situation that made him break out in a cold sweat just by looking.
Cheol Ji-seon recalled what Shin Seong had said.
The words Shin Seong had spoken to him when he was worried.
– Don’t worry. I have a plan.
Recalling that Cheol Ji-seon let a drop of cold sweat fall.
“•••No way.”
Was the method Shin Seong mentioned.
Could it be that?
Cheol Ji-seon forced his trembling body to rise and dashed down the mountain.
He was running towards the people.
He was worried about Gu Yang-cheon and Shin Seong.
But right now Cheol Ji-seon’s instincts were telling him.
Whether it was because of what had just happened or not.
Something strange seemed to be starting to unfold around him.
