The Academy’s Undercover Professor – 8

◈ Episode 8 False Identity (3)
There was nothing in Ludger’s suit case that would make you widen your eyes.
Just a change of clothes and a book.
Other than that there are various documents and miscellaneous items.
‘I thought there was something greater.’
I bundled up the textbooks and magic book papers and set them aside and also sorted out my clothes and put them away.
In the case of books in addition to magic books there were many types of books including popular novels and essays by famous scientists.
I read all sorts of things.
Other than that the only items were a few letters ID cards and personally owned tools.
The only tools are a portable pocket watch a small pipe to use as a medium for magic and a wallet containing money.
I immediately checked my ID card and documents one by one.
‘Ludger Chelsea. A descendant of the fallen nobles of Queoden a small and medium-sized kingdom in the northern continent. I have no brothers or sisters and both my parents are dead.’
Not bad.
Although I am a fallen nobleman I hold the title of nobleman in name so I will not be greatly ignored wherever I go and since I have no family no one will recognize me.
‘Let’s see. Your record is incredibly impressive. Submitted 12 theses to Magic Tower and is the youngest in 4th place? Even military officers did it?’
I wondered if it was because he was Seorn’s teacher.
A record like this at such a young age.
‘Is the subject being taught magic manifestation and specialization accordingly? The main focus is magical energy release and elemental elements.’
Considering that manifestation was a specialty there was a high probability that actual combat would be taught as a subject.
I opened the letter and looked at its contents.
If I ever had a conversation with an acquaintance I had to catch small habits and learn them.
‘The contents of the letter are nothing special.’
The letters supposedly exchanged with acquaintances contained only formal conversations such as saying that he would soon be appointed to the academy which books he liked or about something happening somewhere.
Even when I was in the military I don’t think I was close to anyone.
Was it a nerd’s style?
Considering that there was almost no personal content it didn’t seem like he was particularly close to the person he was sending letters to.

‘Now all that’s left is…’
This is information about the basic class content to be taught to students after the start of the semester as well as how Seorn Academy came into existence and how it operates.
First it was necessary to travel around the site and familiarize yourself with the topography of Seorn.
Grumble.
I was about to go outside right away but I had no choice but to stop when I heard the loud sound coming from the boat.
Come to think of it I haven’t eaten anything since today’s train.
‘Let’s do it starting tomorrow.’
There was so much going on today that I was mentally exhausted.
Let’s eat first and get a good rest today.
* * *
Two weeks have passed since then.
In the meantime I wandered around every corner of Seorn Academy and learned about its geography.
As expected when I first saw it the site of Seorn Academy was truly enormous beyond imagination.
‘It’s not for nothing that people call him Seorn.’
I sat on an outdoor bench in a secluded cafe and enjoyed the peaceful scenery.
I had finished checking everything and was now only thinking about the upcoming classes.
‘Is it because the start of the semester is approaching? I see students often.’
Students wearing Seorn Academy uniforms were seen walking around. The uniform designs for the men are cool and the uniforms for the girls are pretty.
Did you say it was a uniform made by a prestigious designer in the empire?
Perhaps because it was an academy that taught magic there were children flying on broomsticks or moving around on strange mechanical dolls.
I thought it was a great time to see young people laughing and having various conversations with each other.
Since I came into this world every day has been a fierce battle but children like that live blessed lives thanks to their innate talent and environment.
“hmm.”
Two female students passing by took a quick look at me and started whispering to each other.
but. If someone I don’t normally see stays like this since the day before the start of the semester I’d be suspicious of myself.
I sipped my coffee out of curiosity.
After I finish drinking I have to go back to my dorm and prepare for the orientation that will be held in a week.
With that thought in mind I finished the rest of my coffee and was about to get up when a woman came and casually sat down at the table next to me.
The moment I thought it was a new guest she spoke to me in a voice so low that only I could hear.
“I’m glad you’re safe. “Why haven’t you heard from me for two weeks?”
“…?”
Without realizing it my instinctive intuition stopped me from turning back.
──Chin.
I naturally placed the finished glass on the table.
“….”
Are you just saying this to me?
I looked around.

What could be more embarrassing if he didn’t say something to me but to someone else and I reacted here?
But no matter how much I looked there were no other people around. I can’t even feel it.
The only people sitting at the outdoor table were me and the woman sitting at the table next to me.
In other words that person is talking to me now. No should I say this?
As I continued to remain silent she continued.
“I was worried that there might be some problem. “Other members are also wondering what happened to the First Order.”
“….”
member.
First Order.
Someone who worries about me the first time I meet them.
Although I couldn’t know the details of this I was sure of one thing.
I’m caught up in something very annoying right now.
* * *
‘what.’
I fiddled with the handle of the coffee cup in my hand.
I was just drinking coffee and enjoying the atmosphere at an outdoor table in a cafe when suddenly a strange woman came up to me and started talking to me.
But everything they say to me is unusual.
The polite tone in which the members called me in a high regard and the way the members spoke.
Insanity? no. That’s sincere.
So did I come to the wrong person? no. She came to the right place.
-They came here not to me but to a man named Ludger Chelisi.
The moment I assessed the situation my mouth moved naturally as if it had been greased.
“I had some things to check for a moment.”
“Is this related to this terrorist incident? It was just an accident. “After all no one knew that the rebels would attack the train that the First Order was on.”
“Everything else. “Rough information about Seorn.”
“Didn’t you receive some information in advance?”
“That alone is not enough. “There is a big difference between hearing it in words and actually seeing it.”
“I see.”
A woman nods her head as if she understands something.
Eh I don’t know.
I continued with the mindset that everything would happen as it should.
“So did you handle your work well?”
“yes. Of course. Before coming here I completed all assassinations of Academy figures. “Most of them were users.”
what? Assassinate an Academy figure?
I almost shook for a moment but I managed to hold it in.
“And in the meantime a traitor within the organization was revealed and we dealt with that as well.”
what? betrayer? treatment?
When I heard the word traitor I swallowed my saliva without realizing it.
I asked without showing my embarrassment.
“It’s a disposition. “How did you do it?”
“He pulled out the limb ground it up and stuffed it into his mouth. They say the rest of the body was fed to wild dogs. I didn’t see it myself but I heard about it from other members. “You could say it was a fitting end for a traitor.”
“….”
…They were crazier than I thought.
But the more I was in this situation the calmer my spirit became.
As the surrounding air became even heavier I felt the woman sitting next to me tremble.
“I’m sorry. “I should have listened and reported it myself…!”
“It’s done. Rather why did you suddenly come to me now?”
“That thing. The First Order came here but there has been no news for the past fifteen days…”
“So you acted arbitrarily at this important moment?”
Analyze while speaking.
They called me First Order not Ludger.
Considering that the name has “First” in front of it it is highly likely that he holds a fairly high position within the organization.
I believed that and tried to show off a little and it seemed like it was the right answer.
“Hee hee! sorry!”
I responded in a cold voice to the woman who seemed to immediately bow her head in this direction.
“Be quiet. “Do you want to arouse the suspicion of people around you?”
“Sigh. Sorry for my sin…”
“Don’t even say sorry.”
“….”
“okay. It’s already time to check. How many members are there now?”
“yes yes?”
“It’s about how many members are here.”
“ah!”
She looked at the surroundings as much as possible and spoke in a low voice.
“Currently 31 Third Order members and 7 Second Order members have successfully gone into hiding. And the other First Order members came in first and took their seats as planned.”
“hmm. “It’s appropriate.”
While nodding formally I put together as much information as I could.
What I roughly noticed was that there was one more member of the First Order besides me and that there were close to 40 of them.
Although the scale is not large the ability to plant this number in Seorn is also extraordinary.
The good news is that this guy in front of me doesn’t even suspect my identity.
Rather they send awe-inspiring gazes of fear and respect in real time.
‘As expected of the First Order!’ Well it seems blatant to think like this.
Looking at it like that it looks like it could at least be used for something.
“i get it. “I’m done checking so I’ll just get up now.”
“ah! If you have a meeting in the future you can come to the designated location.”
Meeting place? No was there a place like that?
But now I’m like ‘Where is it?’ There is no way we can ask the same question.
As I was thinking about what to do with this a good idea occurred to me.
“Come? “Are you telling me to come as I please?”
As I deliberately lowered my voice and gave him a cold look I saw his complexion turn pale.
Perhaps their bluff had paid off and they desperately made excuses trembling like baby squirrels.
“That’s not true. “I just…”
“I don’t want to hear excuses. If a tangent is needed in the future it will be decided here. The place and time are the same. Do you understand?”
“Oh I understand.”
“If you really need to tell me something I will only allow it if someone from the First Order like me calls you. Or even higher.”
“If it’s higher is it true Zero Order?”
There is zero order.
I was wondering if it was possible but it was still true.
“okay. Please don’t bother me with little things other than what he said. Do you understand? “This is a warning.”
So behave yourself well.
I said that and stood up.
I was about to leave without looking back when the guy called me from behind and said ‘Hey.’
I stopped in my tracks and turned my head slightly to look at him.
“what?”
“That… what will you do when you call us…”
The moment I heard that I thought oh my gosh.
Come to think of it I didn’t explain anything.
But there’s no way I can explain right away how I don’t know.
“…Do I really have to say that with my own mouth?”
“Hi! Oh no! “I made a mistake.”
“I’ll just skip this one time.”
With those words I quickly left the place.
* * *
Thump thump thump!
When I returned home I immediately went up to the bedroom on the second floor and took out the suit case I had put in the closet.
After scattering the letters in Ludger’s suit case on the bed and checking them one by one I realized that my anxious imagination had finally become reality.
“…Ha damn.”
The strange feeling of heterogeneity I felt while reading the letter.
Why did I bother to exchange such formal words through letters with an acquaintance who has no family?
Why did a man with such a brilliant record refrain from his private life to the point of being so stubborn?
All those questions were finally answered.
-In the first place this was not an ordinary letter.
I looked through the special characters of certain words written inside the letter. The sense of heterogeneity that I instinctively felt lay in the certain pattern of these letters.
okay.
This was a ‘ciphertext’.
Their own password that they use to prevent others from getting caught.
I threw away the letters and re-read the documents proving my identity.
‘Fallen nobles? No family? Even from a foreign country a small or medium-sized country very far from the empire?’
It’s all fake.
Even the traces of the past even the glamorous ones are all lies.
The existence of Ludger Chelisi was an identity created by someone with great effort.
Why didn’t I know? Why didn’t I suspect it?
Why did I naturally accept this ‘overtly ideal’ status?
‘Then what is the identity of that Ludger I met on the train…’
A member of a secret society hiding in Seorn Academy.
An executive even with the title First Order.
And now I’m wearing that guy’s mask.
My legs became weak and I flopped down on the bed.
“crazy.”
The identity of Ludger Chelisi which was thought to be ideal for starting a new life… was actually a nuclear bomb more dangerous than anything else.
I’m so sick of it.
