The Academy’s Undercover Professor – 78

◈ Episode 78 Sheridan Iron Pit (2)
There were 10 minutes left until Sheridan fixed Adae and the wire launcher.
Of course we won’t just fix it.
Considering her personality… she probably thought she had another bright idea and went into additional modifications.
They said it would take 10 minutes but considering the entire process it probably took 30 minutes.
‘30 minutes. There’s still room.’
I was looking down from the window on the third floor thinking that it would be okay to get some rest and then return to Seorn.
‘what.’
Three black shadows were moving busily through an alley where no one was wandering.
Aside from the smooth movements the steps are also unusual.
‘It’s fast and light. ‘My balance is properly maintained and my body doesn’t shake.’
Finding them was just a coincidence.
Their movements were so secret that I wouldn’t have noticed them if I hadn’t looked down at the window at the right time.
Although I couldn’t see them clearly because they were covered in dark robes I immediately recognized who they were.
‘It’s a knight. Also a highly trained regular soldier.’
They are of a different level from the two semi-knights who assisted Dutri.
Is it at least a regular subscription?
There are as many as three such drivers passing through this alley?
Normal drivers wouldn’t even be interested in these back alleys.
Moreover isn’t the direction they’re heading towards the same place where Violetta and I were fighting against the enemy society?
I narrowed my eyes and gazed at them carefully.
‘If they are knights and don’t hesitate to wander around places like this…’
There is one place I can guess.
no way….
It was a moment when I was about to come to a conclusion.
The driver who was moving at the front stopped and cast his gaze in this direction.

this.
I hid next to the window.
‘Did you get caught?’
I said I would watch him carefully but he has better senses than I thought.
Considering the distance alone it was more than 100m away but I can’t believe you noticed it.
Fortunately the gaze that had been staring at me for a moment wondering if I had been completely caught was quickly withdrawn.
‘…Security Bureau.’
To be exact it is the Nightcrawler Knights belonging to the Security Bureau’s Intelligence Department.
Unusual people who move secretly not like knights and are independent of time and place.
As opposed to knights who do honorable things while standing on a shining stage with everyone watching.
The Nightcrawler Knights eliminate those who pose a threat to the nation in dark places out of public view.
He is a human being who willingly chose and accepted to walk a path stained with blood and mud for his country.
Therefore they are a symbol of fear and an object of caution to those who know them.
They are also the most dangerous people to meet in these dark and narrow streets than to meet on the main street in broad daylight.
‘When I looked this way a little while ago… I thought I saw silver hair.’
When it comes to knights with silver hair in the Exilion Empire’s security bureau there is one person who comes to mind.
‘Could it be… her?’
The head of the Security Bureau and leader of the elite Nightcrawler Knights.
A guardian messenger who protects the empire.
Lord Protector Terryna Lion Howl.
‘Why is she here? Could it be because of the werewolf incident?’
I have a vague guess.
The reason is probably the death of the Cryptid that appeared in Lederbelk and the billionaire Bellbot Rickson.
If it were the Security Bureau’s intelligence network they would have learned that Bellbot Rickson was working with someone to conduct some kind of experiment.
Because their eyes are spread throughout the empire.
‘Even so I never thought the Knight Commander Nightcrawler would step forward in person.’
Actually they are the ones who conducted human experiments on ordinary citizens.
Since even a warlock was involved it would be strange for the Security Bureau not to take action.
The important thing is this.
‘They would have investigated Bellbott Rickson’s mansion and if so they would also know that the secret safe was stolen.’
Where is that?
They must have noticed that a hot fire broke out in the basement of an abandoned factory and burned the surrounding area.
Everything inside was erased without leaving a trace but the problem is that no matter how much fire you burn you cannot erase the trace that ‘something was there’.
‘In response to that they may have launched an investigation. This is a bit of a problem. ‘I can’t believe that a knight from the Security Bureau and even a knight commander came to Lederbelk.’
In particular Terry and Ryan Howl were not very pleasant opponents for me.
That monster-like woman is one of the few people I don’t want to be associated with again in my life.
I’m glad I hid myself.

If our eyes met if she felt suspicious and came to me.
‘I would have been in big trouble. ‘That woman has strangely good senses.’
Until the Security Department determines that further searches are impossible and leaves Lederbelk we have no choice but to move cautiously.
‘First of all I’m glad I don’t have to step on anyone’s tail.’
They probably won’t completely close the investigation either.
However that does not mean that Terry and Ryan Howl will continue to stay at Lederbelk.
She held a prominent position in the empire.
If she wastes time trying to catch up on a case that will never be resolved it will create a big hole in the empire’s security.
‘Maybe I’ll miss out. ‘I’m sure a few knights will be left behind.’
That’s okay.
If the leader Terina is not there no matter how good the rest of the knights are I am confident that I will avoid their gaze.
While I was thinking that I heard a pounding sound coming from below and the door shook.
Soon Sheridan appeared holding Adae in his arms.
“lily! “I made it all!”
“Is it over? “It was faster than expected.”
I thought it would take 30 minutes but it took 20 minutes.
You will know whether there is little to change or whether her skills have improved greatly.
“huh! Originally it only took 10 minutes but as I was repairing it various things came to mind. “While I was fixing it I also touched up the whole thing!”
“Hoo.”
I looked at the bandana that Sheridan handed me.
The one previously used was quite large reaching from the wrist to the forearm but this time perhaps due to a quite drastic change the size has been reduced to less than half.
“It got smaller. It got thinner.”
“And it’s more comfortable!”
Sheridan’s pure white hair tied into two pigtails bobs up and down in time with her words.
Even though my gaze is taken away from there for a moment I turn my attention back to the adae held in my hand.
“Did you remove all the useless parts?”
Since it also plays a role in protecting the forearm the bandage previously worn was sized to cover the entire forearm.
This time what Sheridan fixed only took up about 1/3 of the wrist and forearm.
“huh. Anyway I’m not working as a hunter right now right? So I paid more attention to convenience than performance.”
“You saw it right. “I am now a magic teacher not a hunter.”
“oh. Then what should I call it? Van Helsing? Moriarty? Lupin?”
“Call me Ludger Chelisi.”
“Hmmmm. Sir Ludger. That sounds good. It’s more amazing than that. This time a magic teacher and even Seorn’s teacher! “It’s amazing!”
“Something happened.”
“I know I know. Is it really me? Infiltrating Ceorn the most famous place in the great empire Exilion. That’s a piece of cake right? hmm. “As expected it’s me.”
I guess I appear to her as a fearsome person with some great ability.
It seems as if the fact that I became Seorn’s teacher was a result of my incredible ability.
That’s not the truth.
However I couldn’t bear to say that I became a magic teacher by chance after being caught up in a train terror attack so I decided to just ignore it.
“Anyway just like Nari said I boldly removed the cumbersome things and put in only the necessary things. The wire launcher should work fine so check it out.”
“hmm.”
I put a bandage on my left arm.
Perhaps because the material itself has been changed it feels like it gently curves around the arm rather than being thick and hard.
This is true even when worn over a dress shirt.
First of all the fit has definitely been improved.
Let’s see next goal.
‘I guess I’ll have to try that.’
I fired the wire launcher at one empty wall.
Squirt! Pow!
The wire launcher fired at an incredible speed and eventually penetrated the wall.
This is kind of surprising.
“The power has become considerably stronger.”
“huh. The output has been nearly doubled compared to before! The strength of the wire was increased and the hook was replaced with a new one! Now it’s possible to move with one more person!”
“I see. “I think there are other features added.”
After retrieving the wire I pointed to the small groove on the back of my hand and asked.
Sheridan grinned showing his white teeth.
“Oh that? As expected it’s me. Do you have a sharp eye? “This is a new feature I added this time.”
“what?”
“lily. “Just think of clenching your fist and giving strength to your wrist.”
“You mean like this?”
Sreung.
At that moment a pure white sword body suddenly protruded from the thin groove of the armpit.
“This is…”
“It’s a memorization I made in preparation for an unexpected situation. how is it? Cool right? It is made of the same material as the blade of the sword stick used by Nari so it is very light and strong. Nari told me before right? “There are assassins who use this type of thing.”
“I did.”
“It just occurred to me and I applied it. how is it?”
“hmm.”
Slurp. widely.
When I lightly relaxed my wrist the protruding blade went back in.
Is it really a memorized dagger? I think it would be perfect to use in an emergency or when the other person is off guard.
It must have been made with interpersonal combat in mind not monsters like cryptids.
“Besides that can you see the small hole on the left?”
“okay.”
“You can shoot paralyzing needles from there! Of course you have to load the paralyzing needle in advance!”
“Hoo.”
Previously it only fired the wire launcher at the lower part of the wrist and acted as a protector to block other attacks but is it the opposite this time?
An item that lowers defense but maximizes other elements.
Especially for someone like me who has to use this kind of thing secretly rather than outwardly Seridan’s new Adae was a very welcome item.
“I like it.”
“also! Nari knows it well! “That coward who fell asleep down there is just saying nonsense like you shouldn’t put such dangerous things in there.”
“Don’t say too much to Hans. “It’s because everyone is worried.”
“You have to worry while looking at the other person. “This is crazy.”
As Sheridan said that he cupped his chin with his index finger and thumb and stared at me with a mysterious gaze.
“Hmm. As expected Nari has felt this for a long time but such a calm-looking outfit really suits her. “It’s not bad to wear the wild outfit you wore as a hunter but do you feel like this suits you better?”
“I see.”
“huh. The moment you see him you immediately feel that he is a noble person. Simply calling him a noble seems to have more depth. hmm. Like royalty?”
I couldn’t help but chuckle at Sheridan’s words.
“Thank you for seeing it that way.”
“No. “I feel something.”
“Anyway thank you for replacing it with a new one.”
“ah. “Do you want to go now?”
“okay. Since I have to work as a teacher I have to stay at the academy. “Coming out today was part of an outing.”
“That’s a shame. “It’s been a while since I last saw you and I thought you’d at least clear up my worries!”
“Let’s leave that for another time. And because it hasn’t all come together yet.”
Besides Sheridan there are a few more people I called.
Sheridan probably knew that too so he nodded willingly.
“know! These are the members of the newly created organization right? The ones I heard about!”
“okay.”
“Did you say the name of the new organization is? I like it because it suits Nari very mysteriously! “So have I also become a member of this secret organization?”
“That’s an executive too.”
“cadre!”
Did you like the position of executive officer? Her eyes sparkled even brighter.
“If I were an executive I would be able to create anything I wanted without interference from anyone right?!”
Was it because of that?
“They will allow it in most cases but won’t they refrain from making a bomb that blows up the surrounding area?”
“Of course I know that! Nari too. I also know how to distinguish between lines. Are you saying we should make bombs appropriately?”
“It’s better not to make it if possible.”
Well banning that crazy inventor would be crueler than forcing a hard-core smoker to quit smoking.
“Just do it in moderation.”
“Hehehe. Don’t worry about that! So have you decided on that?”
“What do you mean?”
“Of course a secret organization like this would have a code name!”
Is it a code name? I wonder where I heard that.
I never really paid much attention to it though.
But given Sheridan’s personality seeing her say something like that it seems like she desperately wants it.
If you say there is no such thing here you will be quite disappointed.
If that happens Hans will have to deal with her frustration. I’m already having a hard time. Would you like me to help you?
‘Code name. Is it a code name?’
Well there’s nothing you can’t build if you want.
“Wells would be nice.”
“huh? Wells? That sounds good. good! “I Sheridan am <Wells> an executive of from today!”
I’m glad you’re happy.
“Oh it’s better than that. “Where does this name ‘Wells’ come from?”
“It’s the name of the greatest inventor I remember.”
“Ohh. “If you say that you must be a really great person.”
“No problem.”
He is the one who created a machine that travels through time. How awesome is this?
The name Wells I gave her was taken from Herbert George Wells the author of the novel The Time Machine.
I actually wanted to name the main character of the time machine novel but in the original work he is only referred to as a time traveler and his name is not given.
However in the officially recognized sequel the author’s middle name George was added as a sign of respect for the original author.
But isn’t the code name George for a girl a bit odd?
That’s why I gave her <Wells> instead of the name George.
Sheridan seems to like it too so it’s not a bad thing.
“Then what about the assistant who is sleeping down there? Does your assistant have a code name?”
Sheridan asked with sparkling eyes.
Even though it seemed like he was always bothering Hans was he still paying attention to Hans?
It’s Hans’ code name. If I think about the character’s characteristics and choose a name that I remember this would be it.
“Kafka.”
