◈ Episode 60: The All-Purpose Stone (2)
“Hmm.”
Line who was lying on her dorm bed and staring blankly at the ceiling kept tossing and turning.
Even when I closed my eyes to sleep I couldn’t sleep.
Not only was it earlier than expected but it was also because she was a little distraught.
‘Mr. Ludger ended up choosing a teaching assistant.’
It’s not particularly strange. There is no reason not to hire someone of Ludger’s level to be an assistant teacher in the first place.
However I felt a little disappointed that that position was not mine for no reason.
But there was something else that kept her on her toes from before.
‘A book about non-attribute magical power.’
Line lay down holding the book at the head of the bed and opened it.
Inside the book were detailed articles about non-attribute magic.
The parts that made her feel uncomfortable while practicing magic so far and even the situations that she didn’t realize yet.
This book was full of such experiences.
For her who had experienced many inconveniences due to the lack of properties until now this book was an item that was difficult to obtain even if she paid thousands of dollars.
‘No matter how many times I read it it continues to seep into my heart. Why did Mr. Ludger willingly hand this over to me? And where did you get this?’
Even though I was blind to magic I wasn’t so stupid that I didn’t know the value of this book.
Clearly the value of this book is high.
no. It’s not high it’s astronomical.
Just by taking it to the Magic Tower and handing it over you can gain enormous wealth and fame for the rest of your life.
But Ludger didn’t do that.
He said that he did not write this book and that it was right for it to return to its rightful owner.
‘Then who wrote this book?’
Every time Line opened this book she felt a strange feeling.
The author of the book did not reveal his name. He did not disclose the reason why he wrote this book.
Author unknown.

No matter how much you look it is difficult to even find a clue as to who the author is.
‘But I don’t think it will be a complete stranger.’
It was just a feeling though.
Every time Line looked at the handwriting written by the author of the book she felt heartbroken.
An inexplicable sense of familiarity and longing felt in the writing itself. And even the sadness that makes your heart sink.
Line couldn’t figure out why she was like this.
‘It’s strange. ‘I have no idea why I’m doing this.’
In the end Line had no choice but to close the book.
“Hey! “Let’s get some sleep while we don’t have time to worry about this!”
Line covered her head with the blanket.
But I still couldn’t sleep well so I had no choice but to toss and turn for hours.
* * *
I have been traveling around the continent for a long time and changing my identity.
Sometimes mercenaries.
Sometimes a hunter.
Sometimes a criminal consultant.
Sometimes and sometimes.
There was only one reason why I traveled the world hiding my true self.
‘Relic.’
An unknown world where magic exists. An ancient relic that contains an overwhelming mystery within itself.
I wandered the world to find the pieces of the relic I had.
The sun has completely set and the sky is full of stars.
I sat quietly in the chair by the window of my dorm bathed in moonlight.
‘I came over after receiving information that there was a Relic in the Empire but I never thought there would be another one in Seorn.’
I feel like I have seen unintended gains.
Of course I don’t think the relic I’m looking for and the <Almighty Stone> in Seorn are the same relic.
Since these relics are divided into different types they are called the same relic but their effects and performance may be completely different.
However there must be a good reason why it is rumored to be a wish-granting stone.
‘There is no need to covet the All-Purpose Stone itself but if I can use this All-Purpose Stone to search for the piece of relic I am looking for.’
In a way this was an opportunity.
Because relics are so rare in themselves they are not something you can easily find even if you want to.
Even I who has wandered around the continent for a long time met countless people and experienced all kinds of events.
Because through all that hard work there are only three relic pieces including ‘this’.
‘Judging by the size and shape of the pieces there are only 4 left.’
A relic must be completed by collecting all 7 pieces.
‘If you do that I will definitely…’
I stared in silence at the ‘first piece’ I was holding in my hand.

When I first got this through a coincidence of coincidences.
The miracle that the last remnants of power contained in this piece of relic showed me.
If only I could recreate it again…
“….”
Beep beep beep.
After thinking about that I slowly got up from my seat.
This was because a signal came from the crystal ball that had been left behind for personal contact.
I put magical energy into my fingertips and lightly poured it into the crystal ball.
Eventually the crystal ball began to glow softly and a voice came out.
[older brother. Are you there?]
“Is it Hans?”
It was Hans who contacted me.
Well actually Hans is the only one who contacts me individually.
It will increase later but not right now.
“What’s going on?”
[I’ve roughly finished organizing things since my brother got into trouble.]
“The rest of the organizations.”
[exactly.]
Hans’ voice heard from beyond the crystal ball even contained a sense of relief at having completed his task.
“So what happened?”
[First of all there is no one hostile to this side. That’s a good thing. For us and for them.]
“Surprisingly they accepted our existence obediently?”
[yes. Well what if it’s not true? Just the two of us we destroyed the existing hostile society. No in fact my brother did it alone.]
“Even so they too have been rolling around in the darkness of Lederbelk for a long time. “You can’t ignore it.”
[I know. That’s why I said it was fortunate. Well this side is not interested in hegemony or anything like that just having a decent amount of space is enough.]
“Even so there must have been quite a bit of talk about the Red Society’s existing authority right?”
The Red Society was in charge of all kinds of dirty business in the back world of Lederbelk.
Drugs alcohol gambling.
Even taking into account drugs the bars and gambling dens operated by the Red Society were so large that a considerable amount of money was distributed.
The tissue that was touching it disappeared overnight so the surroundings must have become quite noisy.
There will be some who will try to use this opportunity to try their hand at it too. Those who previously couldn’t even dare raise their heads one by one.
It was truly a time of chaos.
At this time if someone does not appear and clarify this chaos there will be a bloody smell in the alley.
[For now the remaining three organizations are working together to suppress it but I think we need to discuss this later.]
“I guess so.”
[First of all we have the initiative but even so I don’t have the ability to negotiate something like this on my own. So I need your help.]
“When will you be a pig?”
[The sooner the better but it is not urgent. Please decide what is convenient for you.]
Whatever you say I know that the grace period should not be extended too long.
We need to get to the negotiating table within at least a week.
In my mind it would be easier to move right now.
‘There’s something to do with the Almighty Stone so it won’t be possible right now.’
Soon the Universal Stone will be removed from its original storage location and moved to a temporary storage location.
During the preparation process information leaked out and rumors spread.
Perhaps it can be said that the people leading this matter already know the time and place of when the Almighty Stone will be moved.
‘There is no doubt that it is the work of the Black Dawn but the problem is who is leading this.’
I haven’t received any contact yet.
If that were the case Sedina would have told me right away.
‘I still don’t know if other First Order members were acting on their own behalf or if there was another reason.’
But one thing we can be sure of is that the incident surrounding this all-powerful stone will definitely explode sooner or later.
So I cannot leave Seorn right now.
“I’ll be there within a week.”
[…What happened there too?]
“It’s related to Relic.”
[this.]
Since Hans had a keen ear for information he was immediately convinced when I told him the word Relic.
[My brother is still a teacher in name but why do you seem to be experiencing more incidents than before?]
“I agree.”
[Even so it’s a relic. hmm. Is this because he is a prestigious Seorn? Who knew that the school kept relics?]
“Because it is a place with so much history and tradition.”
[According to a rumor there is a secret dungeon created by the first president. Is that really true?]
“Hans. “Enough nonsense.”
[Tsk. Just kidding. Anyway I will try to set the negotiation time back a week as much as possible before your brother comes out.]
“okay. Good luck.”
After finishing the phone call with Hans I looked up out the window in silence.
‘Is it Relic?’
They say they weren’t aiming for it but I never thought they’d get caught up in an incident related to Relic.
I couldn’t help but wonder if this was fate.
Today the moonlight floating in the night sky felt particularly cold.
* * *
“The princess. Shall I prepare a bath?”
“no. That’s it.”
“Would you like to eat?”
“I’m already full.”
“Then at least a snack.”
“The idea is not to eat anything in the evening. “Please leave now.”
At Erendir’s command the servants bowed their heads and retreated not knowing what to do.
“Ugh.”
Erendir who was barely left alone let out a small sigh so that no one could hear him.
If someone hears you sighing again they will immediately stick to you and pester you asking what your worries were.
Erendir finally free from the gaze of others entered his room.
‘it’s hard.’
While other students were assigned dormitories she the princess was assigned a large mansion and was staying there.
No matter how much Seorn treated everyone equally he could not dare to ignore the royal blood she had.
Erendir was very dissatisfied with that.
‘I wanted to live normally like other students.’
As a new semester begins my honest feelings are that I want to spend my exciting academy life making new friends.
However her position as the third princess did not leave her alone easily.
Aside from this magnificent mansion the fact that more than 30 employees treated her with such hospitality was beyond gratitude and even uncomfortable.
‘But I guess it can’t be helped.’
Since it was a position Erendir also acknowledged it and passed on it.
If she acts as she pleases without paying attention to what others think it will only make things more difficult for the employees and her dedicated maid.
To be considerate of them it was necessary to give in to what they wanted little by little even if it was inconvenient.
‘But it’s not something I can’t bear.’
Normally I would have been under a lot of stress but lately that has lessened.
This is because Erendir now has someone he can call a friend.
Linera was a very pretty and true junior.
The fact that he was a commoner was a concern but that was because he was worried about Rine who would meet him and he had no intention of looking down on the other person because she was a commoner.
Still maybe it was because he became close to Line and treated her without hesitation.
Erendir felt good because he felt like he was gradually living the life he wanted.
‘I hope I can increase my friends like this one by one from now on.’
At least here I can escape the harsh hands of my older sister.
Just as she was thinking that someone knocked on her door.
Erendir who had been very relaxed immediately reorganized his attitude and asked in a solemn voice.
“What’s going on?”
“The princess. “I received a call from outside.”
“liaison?”
Erendir was a little worried when he heard the word “contact.”
Contacting the princess directly was impossible unless you were of a fairly high status.
And usually in these cases the opponent was decided.
‘Couldn’t it be your sister?’
1st princess.
Although they were heirs to the same throne the first princess and Erendir did not have a particularly bad relationship.
In fact since the first princess had confirmed the right to succeed to the throne competition between siblings was impossible to find even after washing one’s eyes.
Especially since Erendir didn’t really want that position in the first place.
However her older sister the 1st princess showed that she cared for Erendir strangely enough.
Sometimes it goes too far.
‘I am not your sister’s doll or anything like that.’
In fact Erendir’s coming to Seorn had no purpose to escape her sister’s interference.
In a way it was natural to be worried that even within Seorn might be trying to interfere.
But fortunately the person contacted now was not the first princess.
“This is Terrier Lion Howl.”
“Terina the knight commander?”
Rather he was an unexpected person.
Terry or Ryan Howl.
I never thought that she who is considered the strongest knight in the Exilion Empire would contact me.
“Bring it.”
The user immediately brought the contact crystal ball he had prepared.
Then he bowed his head and stepped back.
After confirming that there were no people Erendir activated the crystal ball.
“I heard you were looking for me. Commander Terryna.”
[Sorry for contacting you late at night. Princess Erendir. Because it is such an urgent matter.]
“no. are you okay. Rather I was curious as to why the knight commander had suddenly contacted me. So what’s going on?”
[I heard that there was an incident where a werewolf appeared recently in Seorn. Did the princess hear it too?]
I know.
Because she had come face to face with a werewolf.
If Ludger had not shown up to help at that time he might have been seriously injured.
However if he said it out loud words about the princess’s safety would inevitably come out so Erendir answered by hiding that fact for now.
“yes. I heard. And that it was resolved quickly.”
[Werewolves have now appeared here in Lederbelk.]
“yes? “So Sir Terryna is in Lederbelk now?”
[yes. We are investigating a case related to that matter.]
“What an incident…”
[Please forgive me for not informing the princess as this must be investigated in secret.]
“no. “Even things like that.”
The fact that Terina came forward means that the Security Bureau took action.
Of course we have no choice but to be cautious.
[While I was investigating the case I confirmed that this werewolf incident was not normal.]
“It wasn’t normal?”
[Someone did this intentionally. The moment I was checking and tracking this the clues were completely lost.]
From beyond the crystal ball the powerful voices of Terry and Ryan Howl echoed through the room.
[The princess. Can you tell me who solved the werewolf case in Seorn?]
