The Academy’s Undercover Professor – 49
by Jessie@AFNCC
◈ Episode 49 Anti Magic (1)
The confrontation is over.
“victor! Aidan!”
As the referee shouted cheers erupted from the audience.
These were all the cries of ordinary students who came to support Aidan.
“Aidan! awesome!”
“It’s so awesome!”
“amazing! “When did you learn those skills?”
Leo and Tacie’s joy was especially great.
On the contrary the noble students openly showed their displeasure and glared at Jeban who was lying on the floor in defeat.
“Tsk. “That bastard has tarnished the honor of the noble family.”
“I’ve always been unlucky. “It was annoying that he tried to stick around as if he was something for the mere fact that he was a baron.”
“You can’t even lose to a commoner. “It’s a shame for nobility.”
A horse with a lot of blades flying in with a buzz.
Jevan looked at his surroundings with a blank face.
‘I lost?’
I couldn’t believe this was really real.
But even when I tried to wake up from the dream nothing like that happened. Because this is not a dream it is reality.
All the hateful looks and criticism directed at him were real.
It was not he who was intoxicated with the joy of victory on this stage but the insignificant commoner whom he had ignored so much.
‘no. There’s something wrong with this!’
There was no way he would have lost.
okay. There must have been some mistake. It’s clear that that dirty commoner used some kind of cowardly foul play.
Otherwise there’s no way you could use magic while moving.
‘You damn commoner!’
Wow.

Jevan erased from his mind the fact that he secretly drank the potion and was doped.
If it had been an act of shame in the first place I wouldn’t have done it.
The only thing left to him now is endless hatred towards the commoner who humiliated him in front of everyone and a murderous will to kill him at all costs.
‘I’ll kill you!’
Jevan began to exert all his magical power.
Everyone was focused on Aidan who was in the spotlight as the winner so no one noticed Jeban’s actions.
Anyone would think so.
Who would have thought that someone who lost in a fight would suddenly lose his mind and use magic in a surprise attack?
Jevan squeezed all his magical power and unleashed a second-tier magic.
Approximately 4 seconds for the procedure to be formed.
It’s quite a long time for the other person to concentrate and react but 4 seconds is a very short time now that everyone is letting down their guard.
“uh?”
Aidan was the first to notice something strange. There was something strange about the energy radiating from Jeban who had his head down.
Just as he turned to look at Jevan his eyes met Jeban’s who was glaring in this direction.
“Jeban?”
Jevan’s eyes shining with murder were curved like a crescent moon.
And what I saw was the magic technique he was secretly implementing.
Second-tier flame magic [Scorching Wave].
Now that the sparring was over Aidan had removed the safety device from his body.
Even [Searing Wave] is an attack with the widest range among second-tier magic making it virtually impossible to avoid.
However defense was also impossible because time was running out.
The magic was revealed.
Bright red flames flutter and wave.
“Uh huh?”
The referee who was trying to check Aidan’s physical condition was equally embarrassed.
He never thought that Jevan would do something like this so he hurriedly took out his staff and raised his magic power.
Although he was a user of Seorn he could also use magic to some extent.
But it was late.
The magic had already arrived right in front of his nose.
Hot flames approaching like waves.
Taaat.
Aidan moved his body before thinking.
Aidan who bounced like a spring grabbed the referee by the back and threw him behind him.
And he grasped the sword-shaped staff tightly with both hands.
As time passed slowly the audience could be seen wide-eyed and shocked.
Teachers who realized the situation too late jumped up from their seats one by one.
But it was already too late for them to step forward.

Because the wave of flames was right in front of Aidan’s nose.
“Aidan!”
Tacie’s cries spread out.
But Aidan didn’t look at her.
Keeping your gaze straight ahead raise your sword-shaped staff.
With magical power.
Hit it down
Sigh!
“uh?”
“What is it?”
Then something unbelievable happened.
Following the trajectory of Aidan’s wand the [Scorching Wave] magic used by Jevan was split exactly in half and scattered.
Grumbling.
Eventually the [Scorching Wave] lost its power and disappeared as if dispersing in the air.
“What… just happened?”
“You said you were using magic?”
When students mumble in silence at the sight they don’t understand.
Ludger stared at Aidan’s figure as if he knew this would happen.
‘Did you use that magic because the moment of crisis came?’
Aidan is a wizard who can use [Special] type magic.
Unlike the other four series [Special] is not properly categorized by modern magic and it mainly consists of magic that is not widely known to the public.
The same applies to what Aidan uses.
[Special] One of the magic series [Anti-Magic]
By any other name.
Magic that erases magic.
That’s exactly what Aidan used now.
“This can’t be right!”
Chris was literally on the verge of being blackened.
I think Jevan will be criticized for his cowardice but on top of that I never thought Aidan who I thought was a commoner would use anti-magic.
‘No way did that man know this…!’
Chris’ eyes turned to Ludger.
He sat still not surprised even when Aidan was ambushed.
It’s not that I wasn’t surprised.
This man had no reason to be surprised in the first place.
Because I knew everything.
Aidan will win this sparring. Aidan is the owner of [Unusual] type magic.
“oh my god.”
It was the same for Jevan Pelio.
He saw the [Scorching Wave] he had used with all his magical power disappearing in vain.
And the fact that the person who cut it was Aidan.
He looked devastated.
Aidan walked briskly towards Jevan who had completely lost his will to fight.
“Everything…”
“How on earth are you? “How could a commoner use such magic?”
“That’s it. Clench your teeth.”
“what?”
Before Jevan could say anything Aidan moved.
Pow!
His clenched fist hit Jevan hard on the cheek.
Jevan’s body was rolling about on the ground.
Aidan looked down at the fallen Jevan glared at him strongly and said.
“I thought you would at least accept your defeat sweetly. But I didn’t know it would be this much trash.”
Jeban could not answer.
He had already been completely defeated by Aidan both physically and mentally and was unable to maintain his senses.
The referee belatedly came out and checked Aidan’s body.
“Student Aidan! “Are you feeling okay?”
“yes. I’m fine. Are you okay with that referee? “Are you hurt anywhere?”
“Huh? Thanks. Thank you. “If it weren’t for you it would have been really dangerous.”
Aidan actually apologized to the referee who kept lowering his head saying it was okay.
The teachers and audience watching the scene had no choice but to see Aidan again.
“oh my god. “They said he was a user of anti-magic and it was true.”
Marie Ross who had already vaguely heard about Aidan put her hand on her mouth and smiled.
On the other hand Hugo and Chris looked like they had chewed something.
It’s just that Ludger expected this to happen and maintained a consistent attitude.
The students’ reaction was truly enthusiastic.
“Did you just see it? “I cut the magic with a knife!”
“you idiot. “It’s not a sword it’s a staff.”
“Either that or that!”
“Even so I didn’t feel that any other magic was being implemented. “What on earth happened?”
“Removing magic? “Was that possible?”
For students who were unaware of the existence of anti-magic the performance Aidan showed earlier was almost like something out of a fairy tale.
An unbelievable thing that Jeban did.
Aidan’s magic was so great that even that was instantly forgotten.
Among the amazed students there were some who recognized Aidan’s magic.
“That kid. “Did you use anti-magic a little while ago?”
A beautiful girl with pure white hair and an expression as cold as snow stared at Aidan.
The words seemed to be holding Aidan down but she was also one of the new students who had just entered Seorn.
Among the freshmen entering this year she is by far the girl who deserves to be considered the best.
He is a senior with the highest entrance score and an unrivaled rookie who is promoted as a promising star in the magic tower.
Julia Plumheart.
She looked at Aidan with interest.
‘At first I just came to see it for fun and for fun. ‘I saw something interesting.’
If it had been her personality she wouldn’t have even paid attention to this.
Because no one is curious about the ending of a sparring match between students.
However this time the incident grew bigger and turned into a fight between commoners and nobles rather than students.
Afterwards it was said that the pride battle between the two teachers escalated so I only came to see it for a bit.
‘When I first fought it was so brutal that it was hard to open my eyes and see so I thought about going back right away.’
I thought I was very lucky that it didn’t happen.
I can’t believe I see anti-magic in a place like this.
‘Did you say Aidan? Where on earth did a commoner learn anti-magic? hmm. I’m a little interested.’
Julia left the stadium after seeing Aidan knocking out Jevan.
Besides Julia there were other people who were interested in the magic that Aidan showed.
It was the same as Freuden who had the most power in the second year and pretended to be the head of the noble faction.
‘Did you say Aidan?’
When Baron Pelio’s material Jeban who wanted to join his faction said he would fight.
Freuden did not bother to stop him. His true intention was probably that he wasn’t even interested in the first place.
He thought that no matter who he was fighting it would be enough as long as they didn’t point their teeth at him.
I couldn’t believe that the opponent they were fighting against was a commoner who used anti-magic.
‘They said that all of the freshmen in this year’s class were formidable and that was true.’
Freuden was the type of person to readily admit things.
He highly valued Aidan’s anti-magic skills.
Of course I don’t know how well Aidan can handle that but the value of a human being is at least higher than that of some noble.
“let’s go.”
Freuden glanced at the fallen Jevan with a pitiful gaze for the last time and stood up.
The students of his faction rose up to follow Freuden.
Before leaving Freuden glanced sideways at Ludger who was sitting in the professor’s seat.
‘That teacher.’
Freuden stared at him for a moment then looked away as if he was not interested and left the sparring hall.
So people left one by one making noise about what happened in Dalian today.
The appearance of a new giraffe.
Aidan is a wizard who uses anti-magic.
“this.”
Aidan scratched his head.
He originally had no intention of using anti-magic in this sparring.
No I had no intention of using it in the future while working in Seorn.
Master said so. This magic is very important so don’t use it unless it’s a real crisis. Otherwise you’ll end up in trouble.
‘This is exactly what the teacher said.’
Looking at the eager gaze of the students who were already looking at him expectantly Aidan instinctively felt that his life at the academy would be very difficult in the future.
‘Oops.’
Aidan immediately turned his head towards the teacher-only seating area.
It was to find Ludger who helped him win this fight.
Fortunately Ludger remained where he was and it wasn’t difficult to find him.
The pitch black outfit definitely stood out.
Ludger had the same face as usual. He wasn’t particularly happy or visibly happy that he won the sparring match.
After just making eye contact without saying a word.
Nod.
I just nodded my head once.
“…!”
Of course that was enough for Aidan.
When Ludger acknowledged that he had done well Aidan finally realized the victory he had achieved.
“Aidan!”
“good job! “You won!”
Tacie and Leo approached Aidan and smiled broadly. Aidan smiled as he faced his friends.
Ludger who had been watching the three people for a while eventually stood up.
Now that the sparring was over it was time to do other business.
“Mr. Chris.”
Chris Benimore who had been standing uncomfortably in his seat the whole time trembled at Ludger’s call.
His eyes turned to Ludger.
“We still had some business left to do between us.”
At those words Chris’ face fell even more pitifully.
