◈ Episode 47 Student sparring (1)
Chris Benimore who received a letter in his private office glanced at it and immediately burned it.
“okay. “I knew it would be like that.”
The report that came in was data sent by a user of Seorn.
The content was related to Ludger Chelsea.
“You’re working hard to teach that commoner? “You’re desperate to win the bet even if you pretend not to be.”
He muttered that and laughed at Ludger’s struggles but that didn’t mean Chris Benimore stayed still.
He turned his head and looked at the boy standing in front of him very nervous.
“Jevan Pelio.”
“yes!”
“I think you know what I want to say to you.”
Jevan nodded with a determined face.
“yes. I know. “I have to win against that arrogant commoner in this public sparring.”
“Just winning is not enough. “The idea is to clearly show the gap between nobles and commoners through overwhelming power.”
It was a harsh request to the point of being a bit burdensome but Jevan Pelio did not think he would fail.
When I heard that Aidan was being taught something by Ludger Chelisi I felt uneasy but he had Chris Benimore.
“Take it.”
Chris threw a reagent bottle at Jevan.
Jevan hurriedly took it and looked at the blue liquid inside and asked with a puzzled look.
“What about this?”
“It’s a magical power booster. Drink it before entering sparring.”
“Am I serious? But if I drink this won’t I be disqualified?”
“no. It’s okay. “If you take it in advance you won’t get caught because it is a special product from our Benimore family that leaves no trace.”
“This….”
“When you drink it your magic power is instantly amplified but it lasts less than 5 minutes.”
“5 minutes. “It’s short.”

“okay. It’s short. So it doesn’t get caught in the pre-screening process. Because it increases the limit of output rather than amplifying the existing horsepower it is closer to using the horsepower. Traces of the drug disappear immediately leaving only the effect. Just be careful that your magic exhaustion comes after 30 minutes.”
Jevan swallowed his saliva at Chris’ words.
In fact it was closer to a medicine that allowed you to use all of your magical power at once.
Although his pride would not allow him to drink such a drug on a commoner.
‘Still if it’s for a sure victory.’
Anyway since Ludger was behind them they might have received something like he did.
Because he’s a dirty commoner.
I might commit a very serious foul.
Thinking like that Jevan put the amplification potion into his pocket with a stern expression.
Chris laughed as he looked at that.
“Well thought out. Now then let’s go.”
* * *
Currently more than half of the seats in the second training hall where the public sparring is scheduled to take place are filled with people who came to watch the new students’ magic sparring to be held today.
Most first-year students gathered but this time unusually second-year students and other teachers were also present.
If it was just a fight between first graders I would have overlooked it but if it was a sparring where two teachers had officially given permission and were observing it was a different story.
Ludger Chelsea.
Chris Benimore.
The two teachers have just been appointed to Seorn and they have something in common: they are both in charge of manifestation classes.
However one side is a fallen noble family and the other side is a prestigious count family.
The difference in status was quite large.
Even Ludger supports the commoners and Chris Benimore supports the nobles.
The sparring that would soon take place went beyond a simple fight between freshmen and grew into a one-shot match between commoners and nobles.
“Who will win?”
“So isn’t it a fight for freshmen? In that case nobles have an advantage. Gene will receive separate education from an early age.”
“But I heard that the new commoners who came in this time are not easy? “They say you made a big contribution during the werewolf incident.”
“Well even if you didn’t catch it yourself would you be my opponent?”
“You never know. “I heard that Professor Ludger who is talked about a lot these days is helping me.”
“If you think about it that way there was Mr. Chris on the other side?”
“I don’t know much about that teacher. Were you in charge of first year students?”
“uh. Even though we are already in the same realm of manifestation it looks like we are getting a bit angry because we were compared to Mr. Ludger.”
“You totally caught me.”
While they were talking like that people’s eyes turned from the audience to the head table where only teachers could sit.
“hey. Look. come.”
“uh. “It’s real.”
Chris Benimore who had just entered the teacher-only seating area calmly sat down with the dignity of a nobleman.
Because he had an intelligent appearance the female students’ adoring gaze naturally followed Chris.
Chris also lightly enjoyed the gaze itself.

The way he looked up made me realize that he was a greater person.
At that moment the students’ murmuring became louder. It was quite different from when Chris showed up.
‘what?’
I looked to see who it was and it was him.
Ludger Chelsea.
A man with long black hair tied into a ponytail.
Sharp jawline and high nose bridge. From the refreshing facial features to the deeply sunken eyes that make many women’s hearts flutter.
Black cotton pants and a black dress shirt. Even the tie is black and even the covering over it is a black long coat.
The overall impression is a single black color that literally reminds one of a raven.
Holding a staff in his right hand he looked like the head of a prestigious magic family.
“and. “Look at Mr. Ludger.”
“The atmosphere is crazy?”
All eyes of the students who were distracted by Chris’ appearance turned to Ludger.
However Ludger went to the empty seat in the professor’s seat and sat down not even paying attention to how much attention was being paid to him.
“Did you see it?”
“uh. The atmosphere is really no joke. “I can understand why the rumor spread like that.”
“Are you really a fallen noble? “I thought I was more noble than other noble teachers.”
Chris who overheard the students talking like that clicked his tongue.
His raw gaze not hiding his unpleasant feelings was directed at Ludger who was sitting in the row next to him.
Ludger could have looked back but he was staring at the training ground with expressionless eyes that made it hard to tell what he was thinking.
Chris gritted his teeth at the reaction as if he didn’t care about this.
‘joy. That arrogant attitude is over now. ‘I’ll make you feel defeated in front of everyone.’
Anyway Jevan Palio will win this fight.
Aidan? Aren’t you a commoner?
Chris didn’t even know that such a student existed. He did not even check the list of common students.
It was a pity that I even wasted my time trying to check it.
‘After all commoners are commoners. Even if people who don’t have a proper education get admission through preferential treatment that’s where they end up.’
While I was thinking like that the noise in the audience reached its peak.
Feeling that it was noisier than when Ludger appeared Chris looked back and realized the reason.
“President. “Are you here?”
When Elisa Willow appeared Chris jumped up from his seat and greeted her.
The president smiled brightly and accepted Chris’ greeting.
“hello. Mr. Chris Benimore. and. “There are really a lot of people here?”
“What are you doing here President?”
“I heard there was something interesting going on so I came here when I had some free time.”
“I see.”
The teachers who followed the president as if to assist him were Marie Ross a pharmacist who is said to have been in office the longest in Seorn and Hugo Bourtegue who led a faction of noble teachers including Chris.
When all the most famous people in Seorn gathered the students each expressed their surprise saying they had no idea that this sparring would be this bad.
It was the same for Chris. I thought it would just end with two students fighting but I never expected the president to step forward.
‘As expected it was a fight between commoners and noble students so the president had no choice but to step forward?’
The president is nominally completely neutral not supporting either side but Chris knows that.
The president values commoner students more than nobles.
That was the reason why Hugo was at odds with the president in the first place.
‘I hope you’ll be okay.’
I was worried about what would happen if the president interfered with this work but it didn’t seem necessary.
There was no justification for the president who wanted to remain neutral to intervene in this matter.
‘Ludger Chelsea.’
Even when the president appeared the man just sat still without even looking back.
A truly arrogant behavior.
But Chris felt irritated with himself for no reason because he thought this was just too manly.
“Mr Ludger! long time no see!”
The president smiled brightly and greeted me first.
Only then did Ludger who had been quiet turn his head to face the president.
He slowly stood up and bowed to the president.
“hello. President.”
“yes. Hello Teacher Ludger. How are you? “How have you been?”
“yes. “I’m doing well.”
“I was really surprised. Suddenly Mr. Ludger and Mr. Chris offered to watch the students’ sparring. “I wondered what was going on.”
“I just made a simple bet.”
“Hmm. Make a bet. “Who did you bet Mr. Ludger would win?”
The president subtly asked if he wanted to hear it directly from Ludger’s lips even though he knew it.
“I bet on Aidan’s victory.”
“A bet doesn’t work unless people choose opposites so I guess Mr. Chris would have bet on the victory of the student from Paleo right?”
“…yes. you’re right.”
Chris also had no choice but to answer reluctantly.
The president smiled brightly and clapped both hands.
“I’m really looking forward to it. Of course the priority is to make sure students don’t get hurt right?”
“You don’t have to worry about that. “We have put in place as many safety measures as possible.”
Marie Ross answered for me from the side.
Even when sparring between students was done informally there was a high possibility of hurting the other person.
Therefore wear light protective gear before entering sparring.
Metal protective gear that can be worn on the chest both shoulders and both knees. They resonate with each other and create a thin barrier of magic over the student’s body.
Magical energy is consumed instead of blocking magical shocks from the outside.
In other words it is a safe method that does not pose any risk to your life as you will be defeated when all of your energy is used up.
“Then I’m glad.”
“Ah a player appears just at the right time.”
The first person to stand in the center of the training ground was Aidan who had a very nervous expression on his face.
He looked like he was going to vomit already as if he wasn’t used to the spotlight pouring on him like a spotlight.
However it feels like I am holding on desperately because it is a position.
“Aidan! Go for it!”
“Break off that arrogant Jevan’s nose!”
Perhaps thanks to Tayce and Leo cheering and shouting Aidan looked much more at ease nodding his head and waving to the audience.
Commoner students cheered for Aidan hoping that he would raise the status of commoners.
At that time Jeban appeared through the entrance opposite.
“Jeban! “I only trust you!”
“Show your noble pride!”
The noble students cheered the class. Jevan nodded with that kind of humorous smile as if he was used to this kind of situation.
The two people stood facing each other. Jevan sneered at Aidan.
“You didn’t manage to run away?”
“….”
“Are you nervous? Tsk tsk. A position like this might not be familiar to commoners. I should have run away instead. “If we had done that we wouldn’t have been defeated so miserably in front of everyone.”
“…if I win.”
“huh?”
“I apologize for being harsh to Tacie. “To Leo too.”
“what? ha ha ha!”
Jevan burst out laughing probably not expecting Aidan to say such a thing here.
“okay. “If you win I’ll kneel as much as you want.”
“I heard that for sure.”
“But you have to do that after you beat me?”
Jeban was confident.
This powerful magical power is now welling up inside my body. It was a magic power amplification potion that I drank before going on stage.
An item whose duration is so short that you don’t even know whether it was used or not.
There was a condition that you had to compete properly within a short period of less than 5 minutes but with this power it didn’t seem like it would be that difficult.
‘If we use the same magic anyway my side with the most magical power will win.’
In a wizard’s duel there is nothing more advantageous than having superior firepower.
Even if the same magic is activated at the same speed it is possible to press it with force.
Currently everything was in a state where that was possible.
It was only 5 minutes but it was a very fulfilling time.
Before entering the fight the referee checked Aidan and Jevan’s condition.
The purpose was to check if there was any corruption involved in the sparring. Jevan believed what Chris said so he accepted it proudly.
In fact the referee did not notice anything strange.
Eventually the referee who was checking Aidan’s condition opened his eyes wide when he saw the object hanging on his waist.
“student. “What is this?”
“Oh this is my special cane that I will use in this sparring.”
Aidan responded with a smile but the referee still looked puzzled.
The wand that Aidan has is fundamentally different in shape from the wands made of unusual materials used by wizards.
that
It took the shape of a sword.
