The Academy’s Undercover Professor – 46

◈ Episode 46: A Dangerous Bet (3)
To be honest when Chris first proposed a bet to me about Aidan and Jevan sparring.
I didn’t show it on the outside but I was happy on the inside.
Because this was a bet that I had no choice but to win.
It’s not that I lack all skills. He is also a student walking the magic path who entered Seorn. Clearly the talent and skills he possesses are sufficient.
In particular students from wealthy merchant families or noble families have received thorough early education from an early age so it is natural for them to be significantly ahead of commoner students from the beginning of the semester.
It’s only been two weeks since the new semester started.
There is still not enough time for commoner students to catch up with nobles.
But it’s okay.
Because Aidan is different from ordinary students.
It wasn’t for nothing that I recognized this guy as a ‘boy cartoon protagonist’.
‘I don’t think Mr. Chris Benimore knows that at all.’
If you are in charge of the first-year apparition system you would have checked the list of all first-year students to see if there were any unique students.
But still Chris didn’t think Aidan was very important.
Here I was able to realize one thing.
Chris Benimore said he didn’t even look at the list of common students.
‘He probably only memorized the names of students from noble families that he needed to pay the most attention to.’
It’s disqualifying as a teacher but I understand.
A person was born as a noble lives as a noble and will continue to live as a noble.
If such a person were to include in his memory a commoner who lives in a completely different world from his own he would naturally be offended.
In that case it is quite wise to just not pay attention to it.
I have no intention of blaming them for discriminating against students rather than judging them based on class.
Because this is that kind of world.
‘But you never thought it would stop you.’
Even though Aidan lacked magical knowledge he was able to enter Seorn entirely thanks to the [Special] type of magic he possessed.
He received some kind of admission advantage but that doesn’t mean Aidan is bad.

Because what the president wants most now is for more students who have learned this rare magic to gather in Seorn.
‘Even if it is too late to realize what kind of magic Aidan has learned it is too late.’
The bet has already been made. Claiming invalidity because of ignorance is tantamount to revealing one’s own shortcomings in failing to verify information in advance.
Even if Chris realizes Aidan’s vision he will have no choice but to continue this bet.
‘But what on earth is this guy saying?’
what? Do you want to win with your own strength?
For a moment I couldn’t understand what kind of nonsense he was talking about.
I couldn’t help but realize belatedly how single-minded and righteous this guy Aidan was.
How amazing is it that the werewolf that threatened his life is now willing to help?
I was thinking of telling him to come to his senses but I got a little worried.
‘Maybe it wouldn’t be a bad idea to take this opportunity to check it out?’
What level of level does Aidan really have?
okay. As he said honestly wouldn’t it be too unsophisticated to push just one [Special] type of magic?
It didn’t seem like a bad idea to use this opportunity to test one’s will and talent to learn something new.
The expression of elemental properties was so basic that it was impossible to talk about Aidan’s talent based on that alone.
then.
‘I guess I should try teaching something a little more concrete.’
I glanced down at Aidan.
I saw Aidan’s shoulders shake probably because he felt my gaze.
“Aidan.”
“Yes yes.”
“If that’s what you want fine. “For the remaining three days I will teach you how to prepare for sparring.”
“yes? Is that really true? But that…”
“The die has already been cast. Perhaps Teacher Chris will also give us some advice or teach us how to refine basic magic. This is not a battle between you and everyone but a matter of pride between me and Teacher Chris. As a teacher. “As a wizard.”
“Then… am I also learning Mr. Ludger’s magic?”
I shook my head. In the first place transmitting magic was impossible.
“There is no magic for victory that I can teach you. Initially there were only 3 days left. “It’s an absurdly short period of time to learn anything.”
If it’s something completely basic such as implementing attribute elements there’s no need to think about it again.
“But that doesn’t mean there isn’t something to teach.”
The sparring between wizard and wizard is not purely done through magic.
Speed of implementation of the technique?
Vast amount of magical power?
Magical accuracy?
no.
That alone is not enough.
It is nothing more than a prejudice to say that wizards fight only with magic.
“Aidan. “I will teach you how to fight against a wizard.”

“Am I serious?”
“okay. However there are only 3 days left. Since the time is short what I can teach you will only be the very basics. It must be very difficult. You might fail. Are you still going to do it?”
“yes! “I will.”
Aidan answered loudly as if he had made up his mind.
okay. That’s a good attitude.
Of course even if I refused I had no intention of accepting it anyway.
“Then let’s go in today.”
“yes yes? “Really?”
Aidan looked a little confused as if he didn’t know that it was going to start right now.
I nodded and glanced at the two people who were watching us from a short distance away.
“Same goes for you two.”
“yes?”
“Us too?”
Leo and Tacie. The two of them were embarrassed when I called them but they couldn’t refuse.
No problem. Aidan is not the only one making the move and from the looks of it it looks like he will continue to stay with us from now on.
If I want to improve my skills I should pour it all into the Three Musketeers.
3 days remaining.
Chris and Jevan are already drinking a lot of kimchi soup because they won.
I have no intention of interrupting their toast now.
It is up to you to decide how much you drink in your imagination.
But will we be able to enjoy that freedom even after seeing what happens three days later?
little.
I started to look forward to it.
* * *
“Ugh. “I’m going to die.”
A dark night when the sun has completely set.
Aidan returned to the dormitory and collapsed on the bed exhausted.
I was proud that I had not missed training consistently since coming to Seorn but Ludger’s training was harder than I could imagine.
Is it because he was a soldier?
Aidan massaged his aching body with his hands remembering the arduous training of Ludger who taught him Leo and Tayce.
‘I didn’t know I would use my body this much.’
What Ludger taught me was not magic or a technique but literally how to use my body.
No I used my head. It’s because you have to use your body and your head at the same time.
I don’t know how many times Aidan rolled on the floor of the alternate training ground because of that.
I couldn’t believe I had to do this for two more days.
‘Still I feel like I’ve made some progress.’
Ludger’s teachings were hard enough to tax his body but Aidan quietly followed them without complaining.
This is because he instinctively felt that this method would be helpful to him.
‘More than that why did Mr. Ludger say he would trust me?’
Didn’t you think he would lose to Jevan? So what is the reason?
‘Is it because of the magic I use?’
That was a possibility. Teachers basically have the right to view students’ information.
But I couldn’t understand why Ludger was so sure of himself based on that alone.
Ludger had probably never seen himself use [Special] type magic so why was he so sure?
The magic he learned was taught directly by his teacher so it would be difficult to understand it properly just by hearing the name.
‘Does Mr. Ludger know anything about my teacher?’
Aidan closed his eyes with those thoughts in mind.
Today was so hard that I fell asleep without even thinking about changing my clothes.
* * *
Two days after that.
Aidan was running through the outdoor training ground out of breath.
“Heo-eok heo-eok.”
Ludger was standing at the corner where Aidan was heading holding his back.
Aidan who discovered Ludger accelerated his running even more.
Ludger who was holding his back stretched out his right hand.
At that moment a white sphere of magical power flew from Ludger towards Aidan.
“Tsk!”
Aidan looked at it gritted his teeth and turned his body to the side. And at the same time the moment when you want to create magic.
chin.
“100 million?!”
My leg got twisted and I fell from my seat.
Although the spell was avoided Aidan had to roll several times on the floor.
Ludger slowly approached Aidan.
“The circulation of magic power is circulation and moving the body is moving the body. “Don’t try to overlap them but recognize them separately.”
“Yes yes!”
Aidan covered in dirt jumped up from his seat again.
“I failed again this time so I’ll do one more lap. “Turn around.”
“yes!”
Aidan ran across the training ground again.
Leo and Teish who were resting on chairs at the training ground stared at Aidan as if he were looking at a male monster.
“oh my god. “This guy is already exhausted and doesn’t have the strength to run anymore but Aidan has good stamina.”
Teish was purely impressed by Aidan’s tireless stamina.
She had also been building up her physical strength before joining Seorn but it was not at a level that could rival Aidan’s.
She gritted her teeth and tried to catch up with Aidan but she ended up raising the white flag.
“You have high will.”
On the other hand Leo was shorter and had less stamina than Teishi so he was the first to take a rest.
But Leo’s eyes were sharper.
Although Tacie looked fine Aidan was now at his physical limits.
Nevertheless running may be due to the will not to be defeated in a public sparring.
“Hmm.”
Taysey ignored Leo’s words and stared blankly at Aidan’s figure.
A boy who didn’t say anything that he didn’t like even though he behaved so badly.
Rather he was a foolish guy who first reached out to me as a friend smiling and asking me to eat with him.
I couldn’t take my eyes off Aidan training hard. It looks dirty covered in sweat and dirt but is it too much to think that even that is cool?
Before I knew it Aidan had completed a full circle again and was rushing towards Ludger.
Ludger raised his hand.
‘It’s coming.’
Leo and Tacie tensed at the same time.
Cold sweat formed on my clenched fists.
Ludger’s magic flew towards Aidan who was panting almost from exhaustion.
It was [Shiny Stone] a basic manifestation magic.
If you get hit it hurts. Ludger is watching and shooting so avoiding it is not a problem as long as you concentrate.
The problem is that it is not easy to avoid while running.
but.
Teish who saw Aidan turning his body sideways in a running stance to avoid Ludger’s magic jumped up from his seat without realizing it.
“I avoided it!”
“Not yet. “What’s important is the next process.”
It was just as Leo said.
You have to avoid the magic and then counterattack.
Aidan immediately gathered his magic power. Without stopping running he uses magical power and develops a spell.
A technique that requires the use of the head and body separately to manifest magic while moving the body.
It may seem simple at first glance but for someone who has not yet mastered magic properly there is nothing more difficult than this.
Because it’s more difficult than drawing a square with one hand and a triangle with the other.
Division of thought.
And you have to move your body and express your magic separately.
‘Aidan. ‘You can succeed.’
Leo clenched his fists.
A wizard must concentrate a great deal of his or her mind in order to manifest magical power. This is why the process of engraving a spell is important.
Because when magic is activated most of the time it doesn’t move.
So wizards were always exposed to danger.
In order to safely express magic wizards have chosen to build a barrier around themselves or shorten the spell.
However there were also people who walked a completely different path.
There were people who thought that if it was dangerous to not be able to move when using magic it would be okay to use magic while moving.
Although they are wizards they do not sit still but train their bodies to the limit and implement magic.
Unlike those who learn academics and explore magic they are eccentrics who move around the world and are adventurers who always challenge the unknown and fight against it.
War Mage.
The method that Ludger taught was the [Moving-Magus] which is the most basic fighting method learned by these battle mages.
“Sigh!”
Aidan took a deep breath and increased his magic power.
Running legs don’t stop. I don’t even have time to catch my breath.
No need to say anything. What matters is the will.
Move your body and realize magical power separately at the same time.
A magic trick appeared on Aidan’s hands which ran without stopping. Leo and Teish who were watching the scene from afar opened their eyes and mouths wide.
And Aidan’s magic unfolds.
It was a first-tier basic magic and the same [Shiny Stone] that Ludger had shot at him.
It was a magic that was more insignificant than Ludger and was dull rather than bright.
It clearly manifested itself properly and flew towards Ludger.
Wow!
However Ludger raised his gloved right hand and caught the [Glowing Stone] launched by Aidan with great ease.
Leo and Teishi who were watching the scene unconsciously said ‘Ah!’ He made an exclamation of regret.
I thought I could barely get one hit.
“Huh. “Huh.”
Aidan who was out of breath stopped in front of Ludger and caught his breath.
“Aidan.”
“Huh. Huh. yes. teacher.”
“I passed.”
dump.
As soon as Ludger answered Aidan stretched out on the floor.
With a smile of accomplishment that I finally did it.
“Sparring is tomorrow so get enough rest for the last time today.”
“Huh. “Huh.”
Aidan didn’t have the energy to respond.
Ludger chuckled at that and turned his back.
“You can do it.”
Aidan was too tired to hear that.
