The Academy’s Undercover Professor – 224

◈ Episode 224 Presentation (3)
Altego’s remarks were also quite rude.
It’s like asking in a public setting with thousands of people watching whether you really came up with that on your own.
Didn’t he receive help from others and then take the credit for himself?
In fact Altego was asking that question.
Auguste who was sitting at the head of the table gazed at Artego.
What Altego did was an unexpected act that even Auguste had not heard of in advance.
Auguste pondered whether or not to stop Altego’s unexpected behavior even though he was a member of the same council of elders but was one level lower than him.
‘I know. If that person steps forward so confidently he must have some credibility.’
Auguste realized that there was some kind of calculation behind his actions and decided to stay still.
Even though it wasn’t him the reactions of the surrounding wizards were loud.
“Is it okay for an elder of the Magic Tower to say something like that?”
“You wouldn’t say something like that for no reason. “Didn’t you catch something?”
“Whatever it is the situation has become interesting.”
Ludger asked staring at Altego.
“Elder Altego. “May I ask what the purpose of that question is?”
“It’s just as you heard. What I mean is is the result of this research purely your achievement?”
“It’s the result I presented so why are you asking if it’s my contribution?”
“no. I just did it because I was curious. Isn’t that the text that countless archaeologists and wizards have tried to decipher? A 4th rank wizard completely interpreted that? “Do you think that’s believable?”
Some wizards agreed with Altego’s logical point.
“but. If you think about it it’s kind of strange. Seorn’s teacher is amazing but it doesn’t make sense in terms of common sense to produce results like this right?”
“No matter how much of a theoretical genius he is I doubt that a 4th rank magician has suddenly achieved something that no one has been able to do before.”
Doubts began to spread among the left.
Altego smiled inwardly at the fact that things were going as he intended.
‘Let’s see if you can answer properly if I ask you a question. ‘You cheeky brat.’
Altego didn’t think Ludger truly figured all this out.

This is true no matter how much new magic he invented.
Inventing a new magic called source code and understanding and interpreting the system of an old lost language are two completely different things.
Accomplishing just one thing is great but you’ve also mastered something in a completely different field?
Although Altego was a magician with a rather rigid way of thinking he still had certain solid grounds when judging something.
And the basis for that was mainly his own experience.
Even though he looks like this he is a person who has lived a long time and is one of the magicians who has achieved a high rank.
I have seen and experienced a lot on my way to this position.
As you do this you will naturally accumulate knowledge and experience.
And most of the cases fit well considering his experience.
Because it was Artego the decision was made based on ‘statistics’.
Ludger Cellisi would never have conducted that research alone.
‘Until now there have been several wizards who have distinguished themselves in one field. I admit that you are that type. Creating a new magic is definitely something to praise. But it’s a completely different thing to delve into other fields.’
Similar precedents were not lacking in his memory.
Because there is Archmage Clinton Rotschild sitting at the head of the table and watching this situation with interest.
He is a genius who has made noise in the world since he was young.
The favorite of the times not an eagle among chickens but a phoenix among a flock of eagles.
That is why we were able to achieve the 7th level the highest level that humanity can reach.
However in the case of Clinton it was difficult to get even one chance.
To begin with there are only a handful of 7th rank great wizards on the entire continent.
I didn’t think Ludger Chelsea would have that potential.
At least according to Altego Ludger is a genius but he is only a mediocre genius.
Even among geniuses he was not at the level of being called a genius.
‘There will definitely be one. The person who helped me carry out this research. I don’t know if they didn’t show it because they wanted to hide or if they hid it on purpose to steal the ball. Personally I hope it’s the latter.’
That way you will be able to bite it for sure.
However there were some parts that bothered me.
Ludger’s attitude was calm even though the situation was going against him.
Altego narrowed his eyes.
‘You don’t panic even in this situation. ‘I have no idea if he’s serious or if he’s desperately trying to pretend to be calm.’
It was meant to make me feel even a little embarrassed but since there was no response I felt anxious and a little annoyed.
But it’s okay.
The more you try to hold on like that the more fun cooking will be.
“Mr. Ludger. The research data you showed is certainly interesting. But I doubt that. “Is this really something I can figure out on my own?”
“It’s nothing we can’t figure out.”
“Then why hasn’t anyone figured it out until now? Are you saying that their abilities are lacking?”
Ludger frowned slightly at the sight of Altego persistently biting down.
‘You’re trying to find fault with me somehow.’
Just looking at the reactions around people it seemed like at least half of the people were swayed by Altego’s opinion and were puzzled.

I understood.
It’s hard to believe that someone so young could achieve something that even older people couldn’t.
You could call that a closed-minded way of thinking but on the other hand it also meant that Ludger did something that was extremely unreasonable.
‘The elder probably knows and is confident about that so he attacks me.’
Ludger glanced around and looked at the place where the president was.
She was sitting at one of the head tables staring in this direction.
Although she wasn’t managing her facial expressions to reveal her emotions as usual her gaze was asking ‘Can you do it?’
Even if I pretend not to I guess I’m worried.
‘I was expecting something similar to happen anyway.’
In the first place I never thought that everyone would clap and be happy when I announced the results of this research.
Most wizards have a sinister side to them as they concentrate on research in the corner of their room.
Some people may be purely amazed that they made a great discovery in this place.
There was a possibility that some would point out even the smallest details or use unreasonable force in order to somehow undermine this team’s performance.
“Since Elder Altego of the Old Magic Tower is so curious I will also answer as a presenter. This is the result of my research and the interpretation of the Larsil language was also achieved solely through my own efforts.”
“How can we be sure of that?”
“Are you sure do you have anything to do while you sleep? “If my research results are correct and you insist that they are not you will have to prove it first and you will be an elder.”
Altego grinned as if he had been waiting for those words.
“So if I ask you how much detail you know about this matter you can answer anything?”
“yes. “You can ask as many questions as you want.”
Ludger could tell from Altego’s words and actions that he had prepared something.
Seeing that he speaks with such confidence while drawing attention like that he must be confident that he can ask sharp questions.
‘And the person asking the question probably didn’t call in an expert in this field.’
As Ludger guessed.
When Altego gestured the person sitting quietly next to him stood up.
A beam of light from the dome ceiling naturally illuminated him.
“nice to meet you. “My name is Maloso Grebori.”
He was a tall thin man.
Because of his curly brown hair and pince-nez on his face he had the air of a scholar and at the same time had a strong impression of a poisonous snake ready to bite others.
“I am involved in the study of ancient languages and archaeology. And since I have been researching the Larsil language until recently I am confident that I know the language better than anyone else.”
Some wizards recognized him.
Ludger did not miss their reactions.
‘Looking at that reaction it’s clear that he actually has a name for himself in the industry.’
Above all it was clear that he was preparing for this moment as he said that he had studied the Larsil language among ancient languages.
‘Were you sure that I would bring up a story related to Larsil language? As expected the old Magic Tower wizard who came as an observer must have leaked the information.’
While Maloso was politely greeting the people around him he was secretly stealing glances at Ludger.
Behind the glasses the four hundred eyes were shining fiercely.
Even though I saw it for the first time today the hostility was clearly felt.
The emotion it contained was precisely jealousy.
‘You brought a really hungry hunting dog.’
Just by looking at it it was clear that they thought their credit had been taken away by analyzing Larsil language.
Maloso raised one corner of his mouth towards Ludger.
That sneer was immediately conveyed as a willingness to bite off his neck.
Ludger did not respond to provocation.
I just stood there and just watched that clown-like figure.
Maloso adjusted his pince-nez in an exaggerated pose.
“Now then Mr. Ludger Chelisi said you could ask questions so I will ask as well even though my knowledge is limited.”
“As much as you want.”
“Mr. Ludger the presenter said that the Larsil language is actually composed of three types of letters.”
“Yes that’s right.”
“Then could you please interpret this sentence?”
Maloso held a magic pen and wrote words in the air.
The bluish letters formed a sentence which was also written in Larsil.
“Now that you’ve done all the interpretation I think you know what this means.”
Ludger looked at the sentence written by Maloso.
“’It was late in the morning. It says ‘I woke up in a hurry and the meal I prepared was poor.’”
The interpretation came out in less than 3 seconds.
At those words the smile on Maloso’s lips grew even deeper.
“Are you sure?”
“yes.”
“That’s strange. As someone who has studied the Larsil language for a long time I at least know what this sentence means. But Mr. Ludger’s interpretation of the sentence is very different from what I knew.”
Maloso was rather discouraged.
I thought it would at least reach a similar level but the level is so low that there is nothing to bite.
“This sentence does not match Mr. Ludger’s interpretation at all. I am confident that this is on my honor. “You are wrong.”
The wizards murmured at those words.
The faces of people who had some kind of expectation turned grim.
“This is so absurd. How dare you commit fraud in front of so many people in the world? Did the Arcane Chamber look that funny?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. “I have never committed fraud.”
“No? Isn’t the interpretation wrong? The first word here was wrong in the first place. “Do you know what this is?”
“light.”
Ludger’s words left Maloso speechless.
“…That’s right. The first word is light. And the next word.”
“blessing.”
Maloso felt something was strange as the answer came back like a knife.
“…What is it? “Did you intentionally make a mistake even though you knew about it?”
“I’ve never been wrong.”
“What does that mean?”
“Because that’s what happens if you primarily interpret the word as it is.”
“Primary?”
Maloso did not understand Ludger’s answer.
“You don’t seem to know so let me show you. First of all the primary interpretation of that sentence is “The light gave me grace but I could not fully accept it.”
“….”
Maloso was dumbfounded.
The sentence he managed to interpret came out naturally from Ludger’s mouth.
Even more naturally than he did himself.
Maloso felt anxiety creeping up and touching his backside.
“If you knew why did you deliberately say something different? “Did you really intend to make fun of me?”
“For what reason would I do something like that?”
“yes? No that’s right…”
“And didn’t you tell me? What I just said was the first interpretation. They say that if there is a first round there is also a second round.”
“So does that mean that the sentence you said a moment ago… is the second interpretation you interpreted?”
“This is the second and final version.”
At those words Maloso’s face turned red.
“Don’t be ridiculous! “Aren’t the two sentences completely different in the first place?”
“That is why it is not easy to interpret the Larsil language. “In ancient times people did not use language intuitively.”
“what….”
“Analyzing ancient languages makes no sense for modern linguistics. Phonetics and phonology may be possible but analysis through semantics is virtually impossible. “Didn’t you know?”
Modern linguistics doesn’t work?
“I will kindly explain why this has happened.”
Before Maloso could say anything Ludger unleashed his magic power.
The Larsil language sentence that Maloso had written with a marker a little while ago was materialized in large form above Ludger’s head.
It was a much neater and more elegant style.
“In ancient times people believed that letters had mystical powers so they changed their daily conversations about twice when writing them down. More mysterious and beautiful. People in ancient times called this ‘consensual change’. Have you heard of it?”
“That…”
“yes. You probably haven’t heard of it. Otherwise you wouldn’t have made such foolish remarks that the ‘proper’ interpretation was wrong.”
Maloso swallowed his words as if he had been stabbed in the chest by something sharp.
Ludger’s gaze in this direction was sharp and contained a feeling of contempt as if he was looking at a pathetic person.
“In this sentence ‘light’ means the morning sun. Even though it is the same word grace is added after it so the light here is not literal but a light that gives grace. To the people of that era it meant the sun and its grace meant food for that day.”
The magical letters floating in the air changed and the sentences began to change.
“Basically if they had rejected it on their own it would have been said that they struck Grace out of their own will. The reason I couldn’t accept it was because the food wasn’t delicious. So it means skipping a meal.”
The only written copy of Larsil to begin with was the notes of a wizard.
There are things like the culture and behavior of that time and the mindset that a wizard must have.
On the contrary even the smallest details of the wizard’s daily life are recorded.
“That’s ridiculous.”
Maloso’s complexion turned pale when he realized that the sentence he had managed to interpret only meant that he had skipped breakfast.
It was the same for Altego who was happily watching the situation from the side.
“Therefore the sentence that Mr. Maloso interpreted is a useless sentence from the notes of an ancient wizard. Well for someone who doesn’t know the remaining two letters I guess it’s because it’s the easiest and easiest to interpret.”
Ludger made a confirmed kill in front of everyone.
“So is this a sufficient answer?”
