    ◈ Episode 209: Guest’s visit (2)

When Ludger heard that a guest had arrived thoughts of arrogance came to Ludger’s head.

‘I don’t think anyone would come now.’

So I couldn’t help but feel even more nervous.

If he is really what he thinks in his head.

‘no. Even if you think about it here nothing will change. If you don’t want to run away the only way to do it is to face it directly.’

Ludger finished thinking and opened his mouth.

“i get it. “Tell them I’ll be there soon.”

“no. You don’t have to. “Because I came myself.”

Saying that someone pushed the employee out and entered the teacher’s office.

Ludger who was nervous on the inside relaxed his shoulders when he saw that.

“You were the guest. Casey Selmore.”

“What is it? “That strangely relieved reaction.”

“No it’s okay. You can just go there. “Good job.”

    The employee bowed his head.

    “Hmm. “Is this your office?”

As the employee closed the door and left Casey turned his back and slowly looked around the inside of the teacher’s office.

    Ludger frowned at that sight.

“But don’t tell me what you came for.”

“Do you really have to have business between us to come?”

    “Between us?”

It was Sedina who responded to those words.

Casey looked at Sedina and smiled softly and said hello.

“Oh right. There was one more person? hello? Cute girl. what’s your name?”

    “…Sedina Roshen.”

“Sedina Roshen. hmm. okay. From what I see of you staying here I think you’re that teacher’s assistant right? “Is the teacher good to you?”

Sedina just nodded instead of answering.

Sedina’s gaze towards the uninvited guest who came out of nowhere was not so kind.

If things continued like this a fight would break out so Ludger intervened.

“Sedina. “Please wait in the teaching assistant’s office.”

    “But sir.”

“It just takes a little bit. “Because I have a story to share with the customer personally.”

After Ludger said that Sedina had no choice but to leave for the teaching assistant’s room.

Of course I didn’t forget to glare at Casey on the way.

“this. “I guess I was hated.”

Casey joked with regret as he watched Sedina leave.

    Ludger stared at her.

“So what did you come to see me for?”

“Oh my are you acting so coldly already? “We had a secret meeting last night.”

Casey narrowed one eye with a mischievous smile.

Since Ludger could not have known the blatant intentions the reaction he received was sour.

Casey muttered and stroked her chin.

“That’s strange. Normally everyone would be happy if it was like this.”

“If you say that squinting one eye is part of the world of beauty I will tell you that you are very wrong. “What idiot would fall for something like that in the first place?”

“Everyone else liked it even if I just smiled at them?”

    “That’s because they’re stupid.”

Ludger realized once again that this detective girl was lacking in common sense in many ways.

Because his abilities were so extraordinary his lack of empathy inability to understand other people’s feelings stood out.

‘It’s also funny that you just called it the beauty world.’

It seemed like he was mistaken in thinking that he was good at something because he was just naturally good-looking and was popular with the old guys.

“Are you trying to take revenge on me like a moth for what happened last night? Is this the ‘I will confess and punish you’?”

“What?! “Who is confessing to whom?”

“Then that’s a relief. “You’re not really my type.”

“You’re funny! “You’re not my type either?”

“I thought he was a very obsessed person because he secretly stalked me for another three years.”

    “Of course not!”

Casey confidently shouted no but a third party would see that she had a severe obsessional disorder.

    Only I don’t know.

Casey who got punched for trying to pick on Ludger glared at Ludger and noticed the lunch box on his desk.

    “what. “Were you unusually vegetarian?”

“It looks like it will be like that in the future.”

“If it’s right it’s right if it’s not then it’s not. What do you think it’s going to be?”

“There is such a thing. Okay just answer what I asked a moment ago. “Why did you come to see me?”

Ludger stood up and trotted over to Casey.

As the distance between the two got closer Casey naturally looked up at Ludger.

    ‘It’s so big.’

Casey thought once again that this man was tall and had broad shoulders but he did not avoid Ludger’s gaze.

Because if I turned my head I felt like I was losing to this man.

“Are you asking why? “There’s no way you wouldn’t know.”

“well. “I am Ludger Chelisi a teacher at Seorn Academy and I don’t know what you are talking about.”

“Are you saying that you will strictly protect your identity?”

    “He’s a very rude customer.”

“under. “You’re going to turn a blind eye until the end right?”

It was then that Casey who had been staring at Ludger suddenly stretched out his hand.

    ‘what?’

A movement that is somewhat foreign rather than naturally extending one’s hand.

Ludger didn’t know what was going on but he didn’t want to hurt her so he lightly pulled back and avoided her touch.

    “…damage?”

“What are you trying to do?”

Casey whose eyes were wide probably didn’t know how to avoid it immediately froze.

“Is it just because there’s dust on your shoulder?”

Ludger shook her head at the excuse which was trivial for her.

“I don’t know what you were thinking when you came to me but if you try to spend any more meaningless time than this I will use my authority as a teacher to kick you out.”

“Ha funny. “You said you didn’t know?”

    “Why are you doing that?”

“You took advantage of me like that?”

When I saw Casey shaking his fist I had a gut feeling that if I left him like this he would explode.

    Ludger sighed.

“…Sit down first. “Since you’re here as a guest I’ll at least treat you to a cup of tea.”

Saying that Ludger personally got into the car provided in the teacher’s office and handed it to Casey.

Originally it was an assistant professor’s job to do but it was he who sent Sedina out.

    “Drink.”

    “It’s not poisoned is it?”

“Should I drink it in front of you?”

“…no. it’s okay. “I don’t think you would use such a petty tactic.”

Casey who was staring at the teacup placed in front of the guest table took a sip from it.

Casey who had planned to criticize the tea immediately if it tasted bad opened his eyes wide when he smelled the soft tea.

‘What is this? ‘It looks like a very luxurious car doesn’t it?’

I was fully planning on finding fault but they gave me such a luxury car.

Moreover our methods were perfect and flawless.

‘What kind of car is this person good at?’

Casey slowly savored the scent while grumbling to himself.

As I controlled my emotions my heated head calmed down.

    ‘Whew. okay. Let’s calm down.’

At first I tried to calmly bring out Ludger’s true feelings but the moment I saw his face something broke out in me.

He did something like that yesterday and seeing his shameless face greeting me with an expressionless face made me angry.

My pride was so hurt that I spoke openly about it thinking that I was the only one who was seriously concerned.

“It seems like you’ve calmed down a little.”

When Ludger said that Casey just glared at him with a slanted gaze and didn’t question him further.

    widely.

After drinking the tea Casey put down the tea cup and looked at Ludger with clearer eyes.

“I want to ask you something. Are you ultimately in an antagonistic relationship with the Black Dawn?”

    “….”

“It seems like something like that. The factory in Baltanung. That was a secret branch of the Black Dawn right? “You were trying to get rid of it.”

Ludger wordlessly handed the document to Casey Selmore.

    “What is it?”

    “Read it.”

Casey took the document and quickly scanned it with his eyes.

    Some time passes like that.

She looked up from the document and stared at Ludger in disbelief.

    “Is this real?”

“I brought it directly from there.”

“…also. “Is it related to this?”

“Judging by their reaction it appears that they came to Baltanung following the traces of the terrorists who attacked the Kunst Auction House.”

“You’re quick to notice… That’s right. We obtained their gunpowder and analyzed it. It took some time but I finally found it.”

Casey who was nodding with his arms crossed suddenly felt a sense of discomfort and raised his head.

“No wait a minute. “Why am I having such a normal conversation with you?”

“Everything is just a nitpick. Anyway I will hand this material over to you. “Fix it yourself.”

“Oh yes… no. Why are you naturally passing it on to me? “You think I’m your subordinate?!”

“You don’t have to do it if you don’t want to. I was just trying to help because they were investigating the case but I can’t help but say they refused. “I have no choice but to do it.”

When Ludger tried to take the documents Casey pulled them back.

“What are you doing? “Didn’t you say you didn’t like it?”

“no. I changed my mind. “I just want to do it.”

    “….”

As Ludger glared Casey stuck out his tongue.

Ludger shook his head at that sight.

‘It’s not some kind of tree frog.’

I understood why Casey acted like that.

‘It’s just that you don’t want to do what I tell you.’

    I understand.

After being called a genius all my life I must have felt defeated for the first time.

If you asked if it was pure defeat Ludger would say no but not Casey.

Being used by someone and doing what he wants.

For a person with strong pride it was an insult that could not be washed away.

That’s why he tried to force himself not to do as Ludger wanted.

‘But isn’t that really the way to go back to square one? In the end you do what I tell you.’

Casey probably doesn’t have time to think that much right now.

‘They may make excuses for this or that but in the end they just choose what they think is right.’

So even if this side insinuates them to hand over the data and catch the Black Dawn they are trying to do it by showing that they don’t like it.

Was it possible to read the thoughts contained in the gaze?

    Casey was furious.

“hey. I don’t know what you’re thinking but don’t get me wrong. I’m not doing this because you told me to but because I think those Black Dawn members are dangerous. okay?”

    “okay.”

“This needs to be clearly addressed. “I absolutely did not do it because you told me to.”

    “I said I understand.”

“joy. And don’t worry. Same goes for you. Right now I don’t have any clear evidence so I’m leaving it as is but you’ll find out later right? Just try to show the gaps. “I will throw you in jail right away.”

Do you usually say that out loud to your face?

Although he had a very unpredictable personality I felt like I could get used to him a little.

Ludger nodded drawing a soft line at the corner of his mouth.

“I’m not looking forward to it. “Let’s move forward.”

    “…completely unlucky.”

“I will take it as a compliment.”

Casey felt like he was only going to become more miserable if he continued to think about it any longer so he ended up slumping his shoulders.

The man in front of me is annoyed but the more important thing right now is dealing with the immediate threat of the Black Dawn.

So this is an inevitable choice.

I am by no means saying that this side lost.

“If you’ve finished your tea let’s go out. “I have work to do.”

“What is your job as a teacher?”

    “Isn’t it obvious?”

“Is that thesis research on increasing magical power output also related to your work as a teacher?”

Ludger narrowed his eyes at Casey’s point.

“I saw it quickly in that short period of time.”

“It’s the fault of the person who let it be seen.”

“Usually you don’t know everything with just a quick glance.”

“What can I do when I’m so good? Is it even possible? Increasing the amount of magical power released will not be an easy task.”

“Because it is possible we are recruiting people to present the research. “Because I need proof.”

“what. “You’re probably trying to do some dangerous experiment right?”

Casey became axe-eyed and glared at Ludger.

The nuance was that if he really did something like that I wouldn’t forgive him.

“Don’t talk nonsense. “There is nothing dangerous.”

    “How do you prove that?”

“Because I am the living witness.”

    “what? you?”

“okay. However I cannot properly provide proof on my own. Because there is a need to compare the numbers before and after the existing changes. “That is why we are recruiting applicants.”

“…Is that possible without side effects? “What is that method?”

There was no way he could tell that by asking but Ludger suddenly remembered Casey Selmore’s position.

Her occupation is a detective but her other name is the Colored Wizard a title given to her by the Magic Tower.

His reputation within the world of magic is overflowing.

‘Hmm. If this is it maybe…’

There might be at least a little something to use.

“I can’t explain the method in detail but if I explain it briefly… it’s a kind of overload.”

    “overload?”

“We will forcibly suppress the amount of magical power released. In that situation we are attempting a method to increase horsepower operation. If I were to make an analogy it would be similar to knights wearing sandbags to strengthen their bodies.”

“…How do you suppress the amount of magical power released? Should I at least wear magic stone handcuffs?”

“The magic stone handcuffs do not suppress the release of magic power but forcibly cut off the flow of mana preventing the use of magic itself. That doesn’t help anything. What I use is different. “It’s a very old ancient way.”

    “The ancient way?”

“Casey Selmore. “How much do you know about the magic of the ancient people?”

“what? That’s right… I heard that compared to now the techniques are not as established and are at a crude level.”

“okay. Clearly the current magic is superior in sharpness and neatness. But there are definitely some areas in which ancient people were superior to those of today.”

That is the amount of horsepower released.

In other words it was the power of magic.

“Ancient wizards did not neglect training to increase the output of magical power. At that time the size of magical power was proof of power. “It was as strong as it was rugged.”

“No such a method actually existed? “If there was such a thing why wasn’t it known until now?”

“Because the lineage was cut off. “To be precise it is because there is no one left who can interpret what was said at that time.”

Ludger stood up and pulled out one of the books in the library on one wall.

“It is a copy of the ‘Larsil Language’ that no one has been able to interpret because it is now extinct.”

“I know Larsil is an ancient language that is almost a thousand years old. Why is this happening all of a sudden?”

“This contains the recipe for the medicine. Ancient warriors. “It is said that those who used magic back then used this training method to increase their power.”

At those words Casey had to grab his thighs tightly with both arms to keep from jumping out of his seat.

‘what. ‘This man can now interpret an ancient language whose genealogy has been lost?!’
