The Academy’s Undercover Professor – 11

◈ Episode 11 First class (1)
When I was first offered a meal.
I wonder if spring will finally come to me too? …I didn’t think about anything like that.
Since he is a new teacher like me I think we could at least have a meal to get to know him. It is only when one is in the prime of youth that the illusion of heart pounding is allowed for no reason.
Actually when I followed Selina there were three other people besides me.
Two men and one woman.
Each one has a unique appearance as if shouting “I am a wizard.”
“Hehehe. hello.”
The first person to extend his hand to me and shake it was a man with a very friendly appearance.
The flesh is thick and the overall appearance is round. He seemed to be quite old but his wide smile made him look like a friendly guy next door.
I shook his hand lightly.
“This is Ludger Chelsea. I am in charge of the manifestation system.”
“This is Brino. “I am in charge of golems in the summoning class.”
The next person to speak to me was a bewitching-looking beauty with long light purple hair that covered one of her eyes.
“oh. You are a handsome man. nice to meet you. “My name is Merylda and I am in charge of charms and hallucinations in the Curse and Harm department.”
“yes. Nice to meet you.”
And the last remaining person felt a little different from the previous two.
He was a man with dark blue hair pulled back and wearing rimless glasses. Looking at his appearance he looked quite strict.
He had a frown on his face the whole time as if he wasn’t very happy about the fact that he was here with him.
When I looked at him he also looked at me and immediately turned his head. It was an expression of his will not to even introduce himself.
What is this guy?
As I was puzzled Merilda smiled and explained in a low voice.
“This is Mr. Chris Benimore. As you can see he is a nobleman different from commoners like us.”
ah. So that was it.
I’ve heard of the Benimore family. Did you say it was a historic count family of the empire?
Chris probably has no desire to become friends with commoners even if they are teachers at the same academy.

In my case since I am a fallen nobleman it is natural for me to be looked down upon by him who is currently a nobleman.
“Isn’t it true that Teacher Ludger just ignores us because we are commoners?”
“I don’t care.”
When I answered “Absolutely not” Ms. Merilda’s eyes widened and then she smiled softly and walked away.
hmm. In the end there are 5 new teachers appointed this time including me.
One noble one fallen noble and three commoners.
However since everyone has become a teacher at Seorn Academy it means that they are talented people who will never be inferior in the field they teach no matter where they go.
“joy. I can’t stay here any longer. “I was wondering what kind of people the newly appointed people besides me were and I found out that they were fallen nobles and commoners.”
Before I could say that we should go eat together Chris’ cold voice came.
At those words Brino smiled awkwardly Selina’s body trembled and Merylda glanced at Chris with an unkind look.
me? I just have no idea.
It only takes a day or two to see nobles immersed in the ideology of the chosen people.
I was showing the attitude that if you’re going to go just go on your own but Chris gave me a sharp look.
“Don’t show off.”
And then doesn’t he immediately turn around and leave?
Why did they have to point at me and do that instead of someone else?
Were you originally acquainted with Ludger? I don’t think so.
‘It would be nice to become friends with my fellow teachers but I don’t think it will be difficult to become friends with those over there.’
I ignored Chris who had disappeared and looked at the other three.
You could say he was a fellow teacher who took over at the same time but that didn’t make me feel at ease.
Perhaps there is a spy among them planted in a secret society.
‘Is there a First Order among these three?’
Currently there are nearly 40 members of a secret organization hiding inside Seorn Academy.
Of course considering the entire population of Seorn Academy which has such a large site 40 people is a nothing number but that does not mean there is no chance of not meeting them while walking down the street.
Excluding the Third Order someone among the Second Order may have infiltrated as a student.
Especially in the case of the First Order teachers cannot escape suspicion.
‘First of all Ludger took the position of teacher as a member of the First Order. There’s no law preventing other First Orders from doing the same.’
The question is who it is.
If you had said like me that you came in this semester together the range of guesses would have been narrowed down significantly.
The problem was that the phrase ‘I came in first’ that the helper said could be interpreted in any way.
Was the period called first much earlier than mine? Or was it around the same time as me but a little earlier?
Of course I couldn’t help but be suspicious of those who said they were in the same class and asked me to eat with them.
In fact isn’t the reason you called me this to subtly try to confuse me?
I really can’t let my guard down.
I tried my best to keep an expressionless face and followed my fellow teachers to the cafeteria.
Still I thought it wasn’t a bad thing since I don’t eat alone.

Selina the new teacher of elemental science.
She was recently appointed to Seorn Academy and became a teacher teaching summoning-type elemental science.
She came in with her puffy breasts but at the same time she couldn’t help but feel quite nervous.
Seorn Academy is renowned not only across the empire but also in other kingdoms. The students who enroll here are geniuses who will take charge of the future and have enough qualifications to be treated well wherever they go.
Teaching such children was a great burden to her.
‘What if I make a mistake? What if I can’t teach? Besides there are a lot of noble children here!’
There is a big difference between commoners and nobles.
Thanks to the development of magic engineering the world gradually changed and commoners became members of the House of Representatives and became involved in politics but the barrier to social status was still high.
I heard that the reason five teacher positions were created this time was because the teachers who were in charge of the classes until last year retired.
The reason why he quit is unknown but if you know how to use your brain a little you can guess it.
Before I came here wizards I knew repeatedly warned me about the territorial nature of noble students.
There are students who subtly look down on their teachers and try to outwit them. You are particularly soft-hearted so be careful not to let them prey on you.
Selina was a little scared.
‘It is said that even the royal family attends this school.’
Did you say that the third princess was a second year student? Her person in charge was a first-year student so there was no immediate connection but the tension doubled when I heard that someone of that level attended Seorn.
It seems like I went through the orientation on the first day of semester without a hitch but it’s true that I’m still anxious because of my low self-esteem.
Selina thought that things couldn’t go on like this so she decided to become friends with other new teachers who had just been appointed.
Still life at the academy might get better if you have colleagues with whom you can share difficult tasks.
After becoming acquainted with Merilda and calling people one by one I ended up visiting the last remaining person.
Ludger Chelsea.
A man from a noble family not a commoner. However because the family had fallen it was not a status that was burdensome to approach.
I definitely thought that way until I met him.
‘and.’
At first I wondered what was going on because the crowd in the hallway was splitting left and right.
Could it be that the royal family whom I had only heard about came by?
Breaking my expectations the person who slowly approached me was a man dressed neatly. Gray suit. Black frock coat. Even the top hat on his head.
‘Oh my god.’
Selina’s feelings when she first encountered Ludger were those of utmost admiration.
I heard he was a fallen nobleman.
Looking at him Selina had no choice but to correct her narrow-minded thinking.
He was walking slowly with his dignity radiating around him and he seemed much more noble than any noble she had ever seen.
Each step is like a painting so you can’t help but stare blankly. Selina belatedly remembered the purpose of visiting Ludger and hurriedly called him over.
‘I’m scared.’
When he stopped walking and looked back I felt my heart drop.
Still Selina smiled and gently invited Ludger to eat with her.
I was sorry to say it.
I felt like Ludger would look at me with disdain and say something like a commoner.
“Of course.”
However Ludger accepted her offer very easily. Even when she walked down the street he matched her strides and maintained a distance from her.
I could feel the consideration for others in every little action.
‘You have a very warm personality contrary to how you look.’
Even when introducing himself to other colleagues Ludger did not care whether he was a noble or a commoner.
Even though teacher Chris Benimore showed an openly hostile attitude towards him Ludger did not show any particular reaction.
Normally he would be angry or irritated but he never lost his nobility.
It felt like I was standing alone on a cloud in the sky.
I heard later that he was a former military officer and a great person who even submitted several academic papers to Magic Tower.
‘Mr. Ludger is truly an amazing person.’
She also wanted to become a charismatic teacher like that.
Even when eating Ludger just ate quietly without saying a word.
The manner in which he handled the fork and knife was so restrained that it seemed as if he was alone in a different world.
I said all this to the point that even students passing by glanced at me.
In fact he acts as if it is natural or as if he doesn’t even care about the reactions of those around him.
It was like a living statue and I even felt a kind of belief throughout the whole process.
After the meal Ludger’s attitude remained the same even as we exchanged greetings and dispersed to private quarters or the teacher’s building.
Even when everyone waved and said they would see each other later Ludger greeted them with a nod instead.
He must have been in a bad mood but I couldn’t help but think that even that was befitting him.
Selina who was returning to her dorm with Merilda recalled her brief meeting with Ludger today.
Selina took a deep breath and intentionally made an expressionless face.
Merilda who was walking beside her noticed her actions and asked.
“Selina. What are you doing? “Frown on your face.”
“Mr. Merilda. “Don’t I look a little strong like this?”
“what?”
Merilda tried to ask what that meant but then burst out laughing.
“Ahaha! Selina. “Are you imitating Mr. Ludger?”
“yes? Oh no that’s not it…”
Merilda waved her hand to Selina who was flustered and gibbering saying it was okay.
“Well it’s worth it. Mr. Ludger is an incredibly unique person even though he is a new teacher like us. But considering his past it was worth it.”
“yes?”
“ah. Selina was shocked by this news wasn’t she? I checked what kind of people everyone was coming in with this time. “That person was a former military officer.”
“Is that so?”
“What’s even more amazing is that you and I Selina all came here after being recommended by the Magic Tower or the Spirit Society. That guy didn’t do that. “I didn’t belong anywhere and came in on my own.”
“and. somehow. “It was different from the first impression.”
“A person like that would definitely have an amazing teaching style. Still we have no choice but to teach our students in our own way. Let’s not be influenced too much by others. It’s okay to not pretend to be strong for no reason. Because we also became Seorn’s teachers.”
“Oh yes!”
The two people who met for the first time today but quickly became close friends chatted amicably and headed to the teacher-only dormitory.
* * *
Three days have passed since orientation on the first day of semester.
Since these three days were the lecture correction period it must have been quite a busy time for students who had not yet decided which lectures they would take.
Of course it was a word that did not apply to me.
The long-awaited first class. I crossed the hallway with slightly excited steps.
Three days ago I gave ample warning. My class is like a land mine.
Rumors about me have probably already spread widely among students.
After saying that much do you really think there will be students who want to take my class?
No it probably exists. When you have no choice but to hold back tears and force yourself to complete your credits because there are no other classes available.
That was well thought out. The important thing is that the fewer students I have to teach the more comfortable I feel.
The number of students who can take classes ranges from a minimum of 15 to a maximum of 80.
The lecture would not be closed just because there were not many people so if there were few people it was enough to lead the class well.
Of course there is no possibility of reaching the minimum of 15 people so you can compromise to around 30 people.
With that in mind I opened the door and entered the classroom.
‘huh?’
And I saw.
Students filling the inside of the classroom.
The number exceeded the 30 I had thought and was more than twice that number.
No in fact it was the maximum number of people the classroom could accommodate.
‘what.’
Why are there so many?
