    Chapter Index

The Ice Palace Master looked at Xu Luo’s ice sculpture without a trace of pity in her eyes, only endless anger and hatred.

She hated Xu Luo’s betrayal, and she hated him even more for using her sister to hurt herself.

“Don’t worry, I won’t let you have your way.” The Ice Palace Master murmured, “I will definitely find my sister and let her know that I have never forgotten her.”

She turned to look at Jian Wuji and said, “Sorry for making you laugh.”

“Palace Master is overstating things.” Jian Wuji said, “As a human being, why do I need to apologize?”

“What are you going to do next?” The Ice Palace Lord asked.

“Next, I’m going to the Northern Blood Sect.” Jian Wuji said, “I want to find out why they are looking for the ‘Extreme Cold Body’.”

The Ice Palace Master’s heart flinched when she heard this, she knew that the Northern Blood Sect was by no means good, and that this trip would be extremely dangerous.

“I’ll go with you.” She said.

She wanted to personally lead her people to kill the Northern Blood Sect and break those scumbags into pieces, but she knew that doing so would only result in more casualties.

“I appreciate the Palace Master’s kindness.” Jian Wuji said, “However, this time, I want to bring Fairy Cold along.”

The Ice Palace Lord was silent for a moment as she heard this, although there was some reluctance in her heart, she also knew that it might be safer for Cold Snow to follow Jian Wuji.

    “Okay.” She finally agreed.

“I will completely eradicate the Northern Blood Sect and avenge the original owner of the Hundred Wine Snow Plain!” Jian Wuji said.

“I’ll leave it to you then.” The Ice Palace Lord nodded and said, “I will be at the Ice Palace, waiting for your good news.”

    “Farewell.”

After Jian Wuji bid farewell to the Ice Palace Master, he left with the Drunken Demon.

The Ice Palace Master looked at the backs of the two leaving, her heart filled with worry and anticipation.

    ……

“Don’t worry, your mother will be fine.”

Hearing the voice coming from behind him, Ian turned around and looked at Cold Snow, who was sitting on the bed, and asked, “How did you know?”

“Because, she went with your mother.” Coldsnow said.

Ian sniffed and dropped her heart as she looked out the window, her mind racing with thoughts.

“To be honest, I’ve just been thinking about something else.” Ian said.

    “Think what?” Coldsnow asked.

“I’m wondering what kind of a person, the Young Patriarch, is?” Ian said, “Why is he, able to do what he does?”

Cold Snow looked at Ian, a hint of curiosity flashing in her eyes, “What are you referring to?”

“I mean, why, was he able to go to such lengths for someone else?” Ian said, “He could have stayed out of it, but he had to risk his life and fight for someone he didn’t know.”

“Perhaps, that’s what makes him different.” Cold Snow said, “He is someone, who truly has the heart of the world.”

“Heart of the world?” Ian muttered, as she suddenly remembered, the words that Jian Wuchen had once said, “My destiny is by me, not by Heaven!”

“Perhaps, this is his belief.” Izumi secretly said in his heart, “A, the belief of wanting to change the destiny of heaven.”

Coldsnow looked at Ian and asked, “Are you willing, for him, to give everything?”

This question left Ian in deep thought.

She didn’t know if she was willing, for the sake of Jian Wuji, to give everything.

But she knew that she was willing, for his sake, to die.

“I do.” Finally, she gave her answer.

Cold Snow looked at Ian, a complex look flashing in her eyes.

She didn’t know if this feeling of Ian’s was love or admiration.

But she knew that the feeling, incredibly sincere, incredibly pure.

“You’re such a fool.” Coldsnow said.

Ian smiled at that and said, “Maybe.”

She looked out the window again, her mind filled with visions of the future.

    “I’m sure he’ll make it.”

    ……

Just then, Jian Wuji and the Drunken Devil, returned to the residence.

“Young Sect Master, what should we do, next?” Drunken Devil asked.

“We’ll go to the Northern Blood Sect.” Jian Wuji said, “However, before that, let’s make a trip to the Hundred Wine Snow Plains.”

“What’s the point of going to the Hundred Wine Snow Plains?” Drunken Devil asked in disbelief.

“Paying homage to the deceased.” Jian Wuji said.

    ……

Hundred Wine Snow Plain, above a white snow plain, two figures, standing side by side.

“Big brother, we’re here.” Jian Wuji looked at the snowy plain in front of him and said softly.

“Brother, we came to see you.” Drunken Devil said, a hint of sadness flashing in his eyes.

The two of them were on the snowy plains, for the original owner of the Hundred Wine Snow Plains, to set up a clothing grave.

“Brother, don’t worry, I’ve already avenged your death.” The Drunken Demon said, “I will also fulfill your last wish.”

“Big brother, let’s go.” Jian Wuji said, “We still have a lot of things to do.”

The two of them turned and left, leaving behind only the lone mound of clothes, in the wind and snow, looking particularly bleak.

    ……

    “Let’s go.”

Jian Wuji looked at Cold Snow and said.

    “Where to?” Coldsnow asked.

“Northern Blood Gate.” Jian Wuji said, “Let’s go and open the Hell Gate.”
