    Chapter Index

He remembered that Xu Dalong had, once, discovered, a hidden, Extreme Divine Elixir of Ten Thousand Poisons.

“You still remember, this matter ah?” Xu Dalong said.

“Of course I remember, this is, your merit.” Jian Wuji said.

In Xu Dalong’s heart, a, warm current surged.

Jian Wuji was always able to, bring him, surprises.

He was always able, to see, what others could not.

He was always able to, inspire, the potential in others.

He was always able to, make people, hopeful.

“You’re really, a, loveable and hateable guy.” Xu Dalong said.

Jian Wuji smiled and didn’t say anything.

He stood up and began to wash and change his clothes.

“Where are you going, again?” Xu Dalong asked.

“If only we, the Demon Sect, had three Demon Elders. That way, I wouldn’t have to be, well, so busy.” Jian Wuji said.

For him, spending time with the Demon Dignitaries was also a kind of, cultivation.

He had now, been able to comprehend, from, the conversations with the Demon Zuns, the true meaning of martial arts.

“Young Sect Master, you’re really, really working too hard.” Xu Dalong said.

“The same goes for you, you still have a lot of things, to do.” Jian Wuji said.

“When they come, we must, show, our Demon Sect’s, majesty and strength. And you, are, the, commander-in-chief, in charge of this matter.”

Xu Dalong nodded seriously and said, “I understand, Young Sect Master.”

Just then, several carrier pigeons, flew over their heads.

There were also a few carrier pigeons, flying in from a distance.

“It seems that they have, already, started to move.” Xu Dalong said.

Jian Wuji nodded and said, “Yes.”

They stood in the yard and watched the, coming and going, carrier pigeons.

At this moment, in order to prepare, for this tripartite meeting, the emissaries of the Demon Sect, the Righteous Alliance, and the Martial Arts Alliance, were, in the sky, shuttling back and forth.

The Drunken Devil’s reaction was out of Jian Wuji’s expectation.

He had expected that the drunken demon would say:

“You evil son, why are you, again, the last one to come? What do you take me for, what? Am I a fish? No, I’m not even a fish, I’m at best a, piece of, a, rock in a fish tank.”

The Drunken Devil, however, simply, spoke faintly:

    “There you are.”

His tone, calm as water, did not have the slightest, dissatisfaction or complaint.

“What’s wrong with you, today? Why don’t you curse me anymore?” Jian Wuji asked.

“You are my, most beloved brother, why would I scold you?” The drunken demon asked rhetorically.

Jian Wuji took a few steps back and looked at the Drunken Demon warily, saying, ”Who are you? Who on earth are you? You surely aren’t, Drunken Devil!”

“You evil son, what are you talking about? Come over and sit down, we are, today, going to get drunk!” The drunken devil said with a smile.

“Are you really, alright?” Jian Wuji was still, somewhat skeptical.

“Are you, Evil Son, suspecting that I, have been dropped?” The Drunken Devil said with a smile.

Just then, Concubine Lu, one of the Three Drunken Guests, walked in with a few plates of food.

Jian Wuji saw that the Drunken Devil’s eyes lingered on Concubine Lu’s body for a moment.

He immediately understood where the change in the Drunken Demon had come from.

    ,!

“Between you and Miss Lu, did, did, something happen?” Jian Wuji asked.

    “No.” The drunken demon denied.

“You don’t have to hide anything from me, I know that you will tell me. Just say whatever you want to say.” Jian Wuji said.

“You Evil Son, really, as soon as you come here, you ask questions, let me, how can I drink properly?” The drunken devil said.

“Don’t worry, I won’t, leave you alone, singing a solo act. Quickly tell me, what exactly happened?” Jian Wuji asked.

The Drunken Devil took a sip of wine and said, “That day, I was alone, drinking by the lake. She suddenly, flew to, my boat, and said she wanted to drink with me, together.”

    “And then?” Jian Wuji asked.

“She said that she wanted to compete with me, in a drinking contest.” The drunken devil said.

Jian Wuji didn’t expect that it would happen, this kind of thing.

“Wow! This woman, she’s so cool!”

    He admired, Lu’s concubine’s courage.

“I was like, ‘Do you know, who I am? How dare you challenge me?’ She said, ‘I know.’ I said, ‘Well, what do you want to bet?’ She said, ‘Let’s play, Truth or Dare.’ I said, ‘How old are you? Still playing, this kind of childish game?’ She said, ‘Don’t you dare?’ I said, ‘How could I, dare not?’ Then we started, drinking.” The drunken devil said.

Jian Wuji could imagine the scene at that time, it must have been wonderful.

“What’s the result?” Jian Wuji asked.

    “I won.” Drunken Devil said.

Jian Wuji shook his head and said, “You’re really, not understanding.”

“Competing in a drinking contest, how could I, possibly, lose?” Drunken Devil asked rhetorically.

“What did you, then, wish for?” Jian Wuji asked.

The Drunken Devil was silent, just looking, at the empty wine glass.

Jian Wuji knew that the Drunken Demon was not the type, who would be easily moved.

“I hope that, in the future, she doesn’t come, again, to me for a drink.”

“I told her, next time she comes, to bring me some, self-made, wild food.” Drunken Devil said.

    “!”

A bright smile appeared on Jian Wuji’s face.

“What are you laughing at?” Drunken Devil asked.

“My brother, how cool!” Jian Wuji said.

He was happy for the Drunken Devil, he was happy.

“You used to, always look disheveled. Now, finally, you look like a man.” Jian Wuji said.

“Are you, Evil Son, saying that I, in the past, did not act like a man?” The Drunken Demon said with a smile.

He raised his wine cup, and Jian Wu Ji, clinked it.

That night, Concubine Lu must have, mustered up a lot of courage before she challenged the drunken demon, to a fight.

Although, there was no telling, what they would develop into, later on, at least, the Drunken Demon did not, fail her.

“We’re just friends, now and then, drinking together.” Drunken Devil said.

It seems that that drunken speech made the drunken devil, let go of, the stigma in his heart.

“It’s all, well, you.” Drunken Devil said.

“Why, is it my credit?” Jian Wuji asked.

“He said that the only reason she had the courage to confess to me was because of you and Swordsman Ichika. She said that you changed Sword Honored One Flower. And you, in turn, changed me.” Drunken Devil said.

Jian Wuji nodded and said, “Perhaps, you’re right.”

Since he was reborn, a lot of things, have changed.

And a change in the Drunken Devil was what he was most happy to see.

“Next time you guys, when you drink, remember to call me.” Jian Wuji said.

“Tell me more.” Drunken Devil said.

Jian Wuji smiled and didn’t say anything.

He raised his glass and took a drink.

    “Don’t blame me, brother.”

Other than visiting the demonic father, Jian Wuji didn’t, either, relax and cultivate.

    He’s always, always worked hard.

Whether it was during, a visit to a demonic father, or during, a time of solitude, he would, take the time to, cultivate his martial arts.

To him, chatting with the Demon Zuns was also a kind of cultivation.

He was able to realize the true meaning of martial arts from, conversations with the Demon Zuns.

He had practiced the “Secret Art of Time Shifting” more and more thoroughly, and he was able to practice for a longer period of time in the space of the “Secret Art of Time Shifting”.

He also began to cultivate the “Nine Chinese Devil’s Kung Fu”.

And so, twenty days or so, passed.

“The date for the talks, Young Sect Master, is set.”

The messenger from the Tongtian Pavilion, to Jian Wuji, reported.

The date was set very close, and because all three parties were, well, sincere, things went, well.

Jian Wuji immediately moved off and headed to Maga Village.

He’s going to, the Windrush Tavern, to make his final preparations.

He saw from afar, Zhao Chunpei standing, stretched out in front of the entrance of the Windfall Tavern.

    “Boss Zhao, I’m coming!”

Jian Wuji smiled and walked towards Zhao Chunpei.

    Love the absolute return.
